Hole Hearted
Lifes ambition occupies my time
Priorities confuse the mind
Happiness one step behind
This inner peace Ive yet to find
Rivers flow into the sea
Yet even the sea is not so full of me
If Im not blind why cant I see
That a circle cant fit
Where a square should be
Theres a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
And this hole in my heart
Cant be filled with the things I do
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
This heart of stone is where I hide
These feet of clay kept warm inside
Day by day less satisfied
Not fade away before I die
Rivers flow into the sea
Yet even the sea is not so full of me
If Im not blind why cant I see
That a circle cant fit
Where a square should be
Theres a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
And this hole in my heart
Cant be filled with the things I do
Theres a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
And this hole in my heart
Cant be filled with the things I do
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
Hole hearted

Neither Heaven Nor Space
So Quiet
It's neither heaven nor space
It's just high
And the ring around the moon
Looks like light and life
Neither of which I
Get enough of down there
Where a lot of people lie in a deep sleep
And months on end go by
In a single week
Down there
But Much too slow
Can't you see im trying so hard
To plug up this hole
The areas running outwards
Sinking much too low
And if you sit long enough
You can hear ghost trains
As if the citys speed
Is just in our brains
And coax as close as we get to sugar cane
Down there
But much too slow
Can't you see I'm trying so hard
To plug up this hole
The areas running outwards
Sinking much too low
So Quiet
It's neither heaven nor space
It's just high
And the ring around the moon
Looks like light and life
Neither of which I
Get enough of
Neither of which I
Get enough of

Hole In My Head
Hole in my head
hole in my head
I need a boy like you like a hole in my head
I need a boy like you like a hole in my head
Let's just say we will and then don't instead
Wild goose chase
Wild goose chase
You're gonna take me boy on a wild goose chase
You're gonna take me boy on a wild goose chase
You better find somebody to take my place
You took my imagination and stomped it inthe ground
Now I can only think about you
chasin' the tracks that you left around
Hole in my head
hole in my head
Oh I need a boy like you like a hole in my head
I need a boy like you like a hole in my head
You make me feel so bad that I wish I was dead
Let the games begin
Yeah here I go again
I'm never gonna win
It must have knocked me crazy
it must have hit me hard
People must think I'm lazy
Like my shuffle's short
of playing a card
Wild goose chase
Wild goose chase
Oh I need a boy like you
like a wild goose chase
I need a boy like you
like a wild goose chase
You better find somebody to take my place
Let the games begin
Yeah here I go again
I need a boy like you (I need a boy like you)
I need a boy like you (I need a boy like you)
I need a boy like you
Like a hole in my head
Hole in my head
Hole in my head
Hole in my head
Hole in my head
Like a hole in my head
I need a boy like you (I need a boy like you)
I need a boy like you (I need a boy like you)

Treasure Those Moments
what makes one happy
well it depends on the person
some people find happiness in the simple things
others dont take much notice
some people find happiness from people
in many different ways
some people find happiness from the important things
but to sum it up, we all find happiness sometime
even if its just a second,
it was still there right?
you should treasure those moments for as long as possible
happiness is a gift for us
laugh as much as possible
it involves smileing
which implies amusement
which implies pleasure
which implies happiness
maybe not always
nothing is ever always
not even your spirit
which continues on for a while
but my point is
to not waste your life
find happiness
and dont let things bring you down
A Tennyson Fragment
So in the village inn the poet dwelt.
His honey-dew was gone; only the pouch,
His cousin's work, her empty labour, left.
But still he sniffed it, still a fragrance clung
And lingered all about the broidered flowers.
Then came his landlord, saying in broad Scotch,
`Smoke plug, mon,' whom he looked at doubtfully.
Then came the grocer saying, `Hae some twist
At tippence,' whom he answered with a qualm.
But when they left him to himself again,
Twist, like a fiend's breath from a distant room
Diffusing through the passage, crept; the smell
Deepening had power upon him, and he mixt
His fancies with the billow-lifted bay
Of Biscay, and the rollings of a ship.
And on that night he made a little song,
And called his song `The Song of Twist and Plug,'
And sang it; scarcely could he make or sing.
`Rank is black plug, though smoked in wind and rain;
And rank is twist, which gives no end of pain;
I know not which is ranker, no, not I.
`Plug, art thou rank? then milder twist must be;
Plug, thou art milder: rank is twist to me.
O twist, if plug be milder, let me buy.
`Rank twist, that seems to make me fade away,
Rank plug, that navvies smoke in loveless clay,
I know not which is ranker, no, not I.
`I fain would purchase flake, if that could be;
I needs must purchase plug, ah, woe is me!
Plug and a cutty, a cutty, let me buy.

Lowdown
Pop
I dont want to throw away my time
Playing games I dont respect or like
I cant give away my sovereignty
To existence with no song of me
And the hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Theres a hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
I built myself a beautiful brick wall
Gets a little higher every day
_? _ ignorance inhabits me
Cause Ive already chased my love away
And the hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Theres a hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Take that happy banner off the wall
I dont need to see no smiling face
All I really wants a cup of tea
To feel a warmth inside of me
And the hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Theres a hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Theres a hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low
Theres a hole in my heart
Im lowdown
Theres a hole in my heart
Im low

Graveside Reflections
A black trickle of mourners were sucked reluctantly towards the clayless plug-hole,
A ninety-one year old life, about to be consumed by the ground.
I prayed her spirit was soaring above in a heavenly orbit,
I recoiled at the notion of her lingering at some lost and found.
I embraced many tearful by-standers, looking to reassure but as much to seek reassurance,
That at my journey's end, my soul too, shall find safekeeping.

Happiness
Happiness is my high.
Happiness feels great inside.
Happiness is quite rare.
Happiness is barely there.
Happiness comes when I am around friends.
Happiness always ends.
Happiness I want more.
Happiness I adore.
Happiness is when my mom calls.
Happiness is when watching waterfalls.
Happiness is my high.
Happiness feels good inside.

Happiness Is
Written by donny brown
The world is giving you the run-around
And leaves you feeling low and let down but
Happiness is
Wherever you find it
Im not waiting for a friend beside me
Or for the lord above to guide me
My happiness is
Wherever I find it
And I wanna find it with you
Have you ever felt so out of place
That the smile on your face
Was to keep from cryin
I dont know how we get so out of touch
But I dont want much
Just to find out
What happiness is
While everybody else is winning
Youre stuck waiting for your new beginning
So happiness is
Wherever you find it
You may be full of lifes frustrations
But Im up for negotiations
My happiness is
Wherever I find it
And I wanna find it with you
Have you ever felt...
If you got your lucky break and broke it
I guess youve got your options open
But happiness is
Wherever you find it...yeah
And I wanna find it with you
Have you ever felt so out of place
That the smile on your face
Was to keep from cryin
I dont know how we get so out of touch
But I dont want much
Just to keep on tryin
People say a prayer every day
That they end up with more than their next door neighbor
Im not buying all their ego trips
But Ill get my kicks
When I find out
What happiness is

One Good Love
(duet with waylon jennings) written by: neil diamond and gary nicholson
It took a while for me to know
What I was looking for
And every heart Ive ever known
Has left me wanting more
One good love
Can turn it all around
Take hold of a restless heart
Lead it back to solid ground
You can search the world for happiness
And never get enough
When all you really need to find
Is one good love
I followed all of lifes pleasures
Wherever they will be
But someone I can treasure
Is all I really need
One good love
Can turn it all around
Take hold of a restless heart
And lead it back to solid ground
One good love
Can take you to the light
With just one touch you can forget
A thousand empty nights
You can search the world for happiness
And never get enough
And all you really need to find
Is one good love
You can search the world for happiness
And never get enough
And all you really need to find
Is one good love
One good love

What Happiness Is
happiness
is bliss
happiness,
is when you get a new puppy
happiness,
is when you get married
happiness,
is when you go on you first date
happiness,
is making your own decisions
happiness,
is graduating
happiness,
is getting you first job
happiness,
is falling in love
happiness
is being proud of who you are
happiness
is bliss
happiness,
is glowing
happiness,
is fun
happiness,
is an amazing feeling
happiness,
is when you smile all day
happiness,
is giving someone a hug just because you can
happiness,
is that light in your eyes
happiness,
is what makes the world go around
happiness,
is bliss
Mothers Lament
(traditional)
Are we rolling? a one, a two, a three, a four...
A mother was washing her baby one night;
The youngest of ten and a delicate mite.
The mother was poor and the baby was thin;
twas naught but a skeleton covered with skin.
The mother turned round for a soap off the rack.
She was only a moment but when she turned back
Her baby had gone, and in anguish she cried,
Oh, where has my baby gone? the angels replied:
Oh, your baby has gone down the plug hole.
Oh, your baby has gone down the plug.
The poor little thing was so skinny and thin,
He should have been washed in a jug, in a jug.
Your baby is perfectly happy;
He wont need a bath anymore.
Hes a-muckin about with the angels above,
Not lost but gone before.
Do you want to do it again?

the dance of life is a circle
few have realized that there is a need to escape it
bore a hole somewhere
and break the
cycle
they say out there there is more to
this circle
there is no sorrow
and mind you there is also no happiness
and they say it is perfection
what mind are they using?
what light? what walls are still there that
they speak so differently?
until now
like a buffalo i wallow in mud
but with due respect
i am so well rested
in the murky waters of my
content

Grief - The Soul of Life
Laughter, Joy and Happiness is all people want,
We could do without grief, they say.
Little do they know that I don't just daunt,
I am their lives' X-Ray.
Happiness is only one side of the coin,
The other one is grief.
To curse, bane and torment they adjoin,
But its all just false belief.
Like the waves that rise and fall,
Life is but a journey.
Emotions you need to experience one and all,
It can't be just sugar and honey.
Grief is eternal, like a black hole,
A void in your life, a hole in your soul.

Happiness defined.
Happiness is the feeling good,
A state where worry is absent.
Happiness is much sought after.
Happiness is the life's purpose.
To feed the senses gives happiness.
To feed ego gives happiness.
To spend libido gives happiness.
To feel safe also is happiness.
Let them come without prejudice
To the interest of others.
Discard such happiness that fails
In the conscience clearance.
Happiness that would accrue from
Showing mercy, giving pardon
And doing voluntary helps
Is higher as comes from goodwill.

Hole In My Head
Remember yesterday?
Driving down the M4
The sun lit up your face
Playing all the tunes
Feeling like a child again
The pain has been erased
I feel much better anyhow
Until I see that black cloud
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
Stop looking in
Hide it all away
Keeping your heart inside a box
That no one else can take
Smile it all away
Holding back a thousand lies
But that was yesterday
I love it when she comes around
Until I see that black cloud
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
Got a hole in my head
Got this song in my head
Waiting for the sun to come around
Waiting for the sun to come around
Take another smoke
I though you said you'd given up?
And does your mother know?
Take another rest
Holding out my hand again
I hope that we're still friends
I got a, I got a, I got a, I got a...
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
