I wore a lot of vintage clothing. I dressed like a reporter, with a little card in my hat. I had these fantasies of who I wanted to be, so I'd dress like an explorer, a cowboy. I dressed up like Elton John a lot too. That was another period.

Perfect Gentleman
There is no doubt about it
Im one of a kind, baby
I am le dartagnan de coeur
As you may see, candy
And Im talkin with my eyes
And I walk in different styles
Im the genuine man!
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman
Kneel down, inhale my odor
Come, kiss my hand, angel
Dare to explore my higher
Grounds
Strive to deserve me,
Ma cherie
And my winds
Surpass perfume
Im charismatic at full bloom
Im the genuine man!
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman
Yes I am, I am, yes I am
(perfect)
Oh lord, what can I do
I cant resist my own
Reflection
How would possibly anyone?
Cause I am (perfect)
Yes I am (perfect)
Oh lord I am (perfect)
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman
Yes I am
I am a perfect gentleman

Unexpected Elegance for M lady Dee Daffodil
Once I met a well known poet.
He was dressed conservatively
I was surprised but did not show it.
He was not as I thought he would be.
Noted for eccentricity.
In his writing, Avant Garde.
I thought he’d dress outrageously
and I found it rather hard
to accept he was so clean and neat
and not all as I had thought.
A country gentleman complete.
Another lesson life has taught.
A plain exterior can conceal
a mind which thinks chaotically
that’s not reluctant to reveal
a hatred of normality.
Which he attacks with savagery
disregarding all the rules.
Stating unconcernedly
Conformings’s for unthinking fools.
I had expected flamboyance
but I was wrong as usual
his understated elegance.
He made appear quite natural
His mode of dress serves to conceal,
but then he states his point of view..
He sees no reason to reveal
himself until he chooses to
A more effective camouflage
which well conceals his anarchy
Which fools most people by and large.
I must confess that he fooled me..

At a High Ceremony
Not the proudest damsel here
Looks so well as doth my dear.
All the borrowed light of dress
Outshining not her loveliness,
A loveliness not born of art,
But growing outwards from her heart,
Illuminating all her face,
And filling all her form with grace.
Said I, of dress the borrowed light
Could rival not her beauty bright?
Yet, looking round, `tis truth to tell,
No damsel here is dressed so well.
Only in them the dress one sees,
Because more greatly it doth please
Than any other charm that's theirs,
Than all their manners, all their airs.
But dress in her, although indeed
It perfect be, we do not heed,
Because the face, the form, the air
Are all so gentle and so rare.

All Dressed Up
Dont you see
Im the one for you, youre the one for me
Dont you see
The love Ive got is the love you need
Dont you see
Im all dressed up
To be what you want
Me to be Im all dressed up
To be what you want me to be
Im all dressed up
All dressed up, all dressed up
Dont you see, dont you see
The infinite possibilities
Dont you need, dont you need
The kind of love that I need
Dont you see me, dont you see me
Im all dressed up
To be what you want me to be
Im all dressed up
To be what you taught me to be
Im all dressed up
All messed up, all messed up
You dont even notice me
Moving you like a ton of glaciers
You dont even notice me
Soothing you like a long lost sister
You dont even care
No you dont even care
All dressed up
With no place to go
But home, but home
Im all dressed up
To be what you want me to be
Im all dressed up
To be what you want me to be
Im all dressed up
All dressed up, all dressed up
You dont even comfort me
And carry on with the will of samson
You dont even comfort me
You keep your faith and you keep your phantoms
And you dont even care
No you dont even care
All dressed up still theres something wrong
Im all dressed up and youre just a song
Im all dressed up youre forever gone everlong
You dont even care
No you dont even care
You dont even care
No you dont even care
You dont even care
No you dont even care
You dont even care
No you dont even care
You dont even care
No you dont even care
You dont even care

This saying I hear from old gentleman
If Way old gentleman be know person
Reason what confident five thousand characters
Those who speak do not know, those who know are silent,
I heard this saying from the old gentleman.
If the old gentleman was one who knew the way,
Why did he feel able to write five thousand words?
All Dressed Up For School
Doot doot doot-doot doot
Doot doot doot-doot doot
Doot doot doot-doot doot
Doot doot doot-doot doot
Well she first caught my eye a runnin' round in shorts
But she never bothered with her hair
Just a barefooted chick with all skinned up knees
Yeah she didn't care what she'd wear
(All dressed up for school)
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
All dressed up for school
All summer long she had a crush on me
But I just couldn't care at all
But new to school threads really did it for me
Yeah she's turned into a doll
(All dressed up for school)
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
All dressed up for school
Weah
Goes out every night 'cause she's a sharp little doll
And the guys can't leave her alone
Now she hardly finds the time to talk to me
She's not the little girl I've always known
(All dressed up for school)
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
Dressed up for school, ooo what a turn on
All dressed up for school

The Civil War
I am torn in two
but I will conquer myself.
I will dig up the pride.
I will take scissors
and cut out the beggar.
I will take a crowbar
and pry out the broken
pieces of God in me.
Just like a jigsaw puzzle,
I will put Him together again
with the patience of a chess player.
How many pieces?
It feels like thousands,
God dressed up like a whore
in a slime of green algae.
God dressed up like an old man
staggering out of His shoes.
God dressed up like a child,
all naked,
even without skin,
soft as an avocado when you peel it.
And others, others, others.
But I will conquer them all
and build a whole nation of God
in me - but united,
build a new soul,
dress it with skin
and then put on my shirt
and sing an anthem,
a song of myself.

Subbacultcha
This is a song about something there
There is something about this song
We did the clubs what ass
I was hoping to have her in the sack
I was looking handsome
She was looking like an erotic vulture
I was all dressed in black
She was all dressed up in black
Every thing was fine down here
What you call it here
Call it what you will here
Way down down down in this subbacultcha
Her warm white belly in the life Id lived had seen nothing
Finer she shakes and she moves me or something
Shes like jellyroll like sculpture
I was wearing eyeliner
She was wearing eyeliner
It was so good down here
Saving for my scrapbook here
Way down down down in this subbacultcha
Now we live on the sea and relax and ride the tack
Drug running on this panamanian schooner
She walks the deck in a black dress
And me I dress up in black
And we listen to the sea
And look at the sky in a poetic kind of way
What you call it
When you look at the sky in a poetic kind of way
You know when you grope for luna.

Easter's Past
Sitting in Church
Listening to sermons
With white patent leather shoes
A fancy dress and little white gloves
With a new purse,
My brothers all dressed
In nice shirts and pants,
My mom dressed up like a movie star
With her beautiful dress and hat,
My step dad who never cared for church
He even dressed up for the day.
And in our pockets
Were chocolate eggs and jelly beans
We were told not to take to church
But we couldn’t help it.
I would peek at my brothers
Sneaking candy out of their pockets
And when mom wasn’t looking
I would sneak some out of my purse,
And slowly let the chocolate egg
Dissolve in my mouth
I couldn’t let her see me chewing
Not in church!
We would come home
Have an egg hunt
That we enjoyed so much
That we all would hide the eggs again
Ourselves
Then we had a nice big Easter dinner
Maybe even play monopoly
While eating more Easter candy.
I know the holiday was about Jesus
Being resurrected
I had spent many years
In classes learning these things
But somehow Easter
Just reminds me more of
Family togetherness and love
And visits from the Easter Bunny
And I don’t think Jesus would mind that at all.

The bride
Hewn from the strata of galaxies demure!
Inured with witchcraft; heartbreakingly, pure.
The bride wears her wedding-dress like haute-couture
Dressed in her heavenly gown made by Channel or Dior!
Poised like a vision, sumptuously, dressed and veiled.
She; supernatural swan like sailed…
Stunningly, intoxicating; like a little creature divine!
She takes up her grooms arm whispers thou, shall be mine.

Eminence Front
The sun shines
And people forget
The spray flies as the speedboat glides
And people forget
Forget theyre hiding
The girls smile
And people forget
The snow packs as the skier tracks
And people forget
Forget theyre hiding.
Behind an eminence front
Eminence front - its a put on.
Come on join the party
Dress to kill
Wont you come and join the party
Dress to kill.
The drinks flow
People forget
That big wheel spins, the hair thins
People forget
Forget theyre hiding
The news slows
People forget
The shares crash, hopes are dashed
People forget
Forget theyre hiding.
Behind an eminence front
Eminence front - its a put on
Come on join the party
Dress to
Come on join the party
Dress to
Come on join the party
Dress to
Come on join the party
Dress to kill
Dress yourself, dressed to kill.

Might Be Your Love
Written by dewey bunnell, 1980
Found on alibi.
Sometimes when youre there all alone
Someone will call you at home
You dont want to but pick up the phone
Might be your love
Might be your heart
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
Someone who you thought would belong
Came passing, moved right along
You dont know why but something went wrong
Might be your love
Might be your heart
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
Someone to hold you, someone to hold
Someone to hold you, someone to hold
Some girl who you watched at her desk
Came dancing on with her dress
And she looked up and wouldnt you guess
She might be your love
Might be your heart
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
Might be your love (might be your love)
Might be your heart (might be your heart)
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
(someone to hold you)
Might be your love (someone to hold)
Might be your heart (someone to hold you)
Might be your love (someone to hold)
Might be your love (might be your love)
Might be your heart (might be your heart)
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
Might be your love (might be your love)
Might be your heart (might be your heart)
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark
Might be your love (might be your love)
Might be your heart (might be your heart)
Someone to hold you
All alone in the dark ...

Reading Laozi
Those who speak do not know, those who know are silent,
I heard this saying from the old gentleman.
If the old gentleman was one who knew the way,
Why did he feel able to write five thousand words?
Fashion Victim
He's a victim of his own time
In his "vintage suit" and tie
He's a casualty dressed to the teeth
In the latest genocide
The new seasons come and go
At the dog and pony show
Gonna sit and beg and fetch the names
And follow your dress codes
What's in a name?
Hey
She's a scented magazine
Looking sharp and living clean
Living well and dressed to kill
But she looks like hell to me
When you're dancing through your wardrobe
Do the anorex a go-go
Cloaked with style
For pedophiles as the credit card explodes
You auctioned off your life
For the "most" expensive price
Going once

Love Talk After the Kids Are Asleep
He said when I see you at night my toga expands
She said when I see you from behind I think of cantaulope pistons
He said when I see you in your nightgown I think of milkshakes
She said I always notice when you scratch and hold.
He said I like when you dress up like a pirate and think of Johnny Deep
She said I like to see you get in the car in tight jeans.
He said I like it when I see you get in the car in a tight dress
She said I dream of coming to the office in nothing but a trench coat.
He said, I like to point at you without using my hands.
She said, I like it when you play horse
He said I like it when you play cowgirl
She said I like it when you feed me snickers bars
He said I iike it when you gave me a beer bath.
Ditto she said on the milk bath.
He said I like to pull your hair gently and think of shampoo
She said, when I come down the stairs all dressed up I want to see you faint.
He said I like you to to rub your hands over my chest, look up and have your eyes roll back in your head.
She said I like when you sneak a peek at me in the shower.
He said I like when you sneak a peek at me in the shower.
They pulled the moon down for the night to use as a night light.
