There's an assault on human sexuality, as Judge Scalia said, they've taken sides in the culture war and on top of that if we have a democracy, the democratic processes should be that we can elect representatives who will share our point of view and vote those things into law.

In Democracy People Are Supreme

In democracy people are supreme
People elected their representatives
And sent to parliament to make laws
On behalf of them.

To make democracy a success
Endemic protest is necessary
To make the representatives in order
They should cautioned.

People are the soul of parliament
Parliament can change but not people
People are the root parliament is foot.

Come to the people O parliamentarian
O representatives of people
People are your master
You are there in different posts to
Serve the people and to do all welfare works.

Democratic institutions are for the people
Without people the state is a big zero
In democracy people are supreme
Do not handle the people in whim.

Democracy v Liberty

The fathers of democracy.
The ancient Greek philosophers
were dependent on slavery.

Which leaves me in a quandary.
How can it be democracy
to have such inequality?

I think democracy should be
a universal human right.
Though it is not quite obviously.

An ideal to aspire to.
Which one day might be possible.
The time has come now to review.

What we mean by democracy.
If everybody has their say.
It might well lead to anarchy.

When we elect a government.
The will of the majority
is what they’re meant to represent..

But it seems they rarely do.
This cannot be democracy.
the many are ruled by the few.

Who gain control quite legally
because their wealth allows them to
encouraged by our apathy.

The systems open to abuse
The people have the power to
insist on change; which we don’t use.

We vote or not just as we choose.
A facet of democracy.
I would be hesitant to lose.

It seems to me democracy
is something which we can’t achieve
and still retain our liberty.

There is no way that I can see
which will be fair to everyone.
I must admit despondently.

A partial democracy
is what we have and will retain
a curb upon our liberty.

You have no reason to complain
if you choose not to use your vote.
You have the freedom to abstain.

Eye-Openers, cont.

I prefer to believe the latter, because I find
The more you believe, the easier it becomes
To believe, that is, and that, operationally,
Doing good for others is the best way to become loved-
Loved and missed and needed, if only in name
And we all want to become that, don't we?
Alas, becoming loved-even that most human of needs
Is apparently an appetite and a goal of contrivance;
In any event, maybe we should wax democratic
And submit the possibilities to a vote-
Which is liklier, which is more desireable-
The world abandonee or the world habituee?
Maybe a very rich woman
Should patronize a television station
That matters may be simplified for the viewers:
Even to the point of unfairness, push
Her own point of view. After all,
You can sell anything you like on TV.

What Democracy?

Is democracy a dream?
The human race aspires to
such things are seldom as they seem.

Although the people have a choice.
They seldom think their choices through
and so the wishes which they voice.

Can be ignored and flagrantly
by those who hold the power reins
which they acquired dishonestly.

The voting system is unfair.
Votes do not carry equal weight.
The major parties do not care.

They are content to wait their turn
To ride upon the gravy train
enjoying perks they do not earn.

If every vote was made to count
Then that would be democracy
Hold politicians to account

for promises they make then break.
Perhaps it’s time to rectify
the present system: Which would take.

a social revolution
to institute democracy.
Instead of the confusion.

The rule of many by the few
who claim they have the peoples vote
A statement patently untrue.

The vote I cast has no value
in this so called democracy
Its very sad but very true.

Human Zoo

Well you just step right up, you sexy thing
Tell me whats been goin on in that funky little brain
Come dance with the devil
You want it when its gonna cost you
cause nothing comes for free
When youre living in a human zoo
Chorus
Dance sister dance through the human zoo
Youre such a mess now, girl
Look what theyve done to you...
In the human zoo
Look what theyve done to you
All love lost, in a fit of rage
Sell your soul for revenge and seal your fate
Welcome to the nightmare
Ive been expecting you
Say anything you like, baby
Just dont let me hear your point of view
Chorus
Dance sister dance through the human zoo
Dance sister dance through the human zoo
Youre such a mess now, girl
Look what they done to you...
In the human zoo
Look what they done to you
Look what, look what they done, baby
They made a mess of you
Harmonica solo
Bridge
Hanoi rocks and saigon rolls
Just drop the bomb then watch it explode
Sign of the times read too young to vote
But old enough to die for you
We got the medication you need
Just dont let us hear your point of view
Chorus
Dance sister dance through the human zoo
Dance sister dance through the human zoo

ONLY HALF THE FOLK VOTE Apr 17th,2011

We should be ashamed of a system where less than half the folk vote,
Something like what a Middle East despot dictator might promote,
The Australians are required to vote or they get fined,
Makes for a more democratic system if you don’t mind.

It seems to me that our politicians are reluctant to change,
We have a perfect democracy, they say, so why rearrange?
Then if only half the people bother to vote, then that’s good,
The parties – not the people have control; is that understood?

And why would our politicians be so reluctant to change?
Doesn’t seem normal to me, in fact it really seems quite strange,
Where less than half the people control who gets elected,
Am I missing something here or am I just not connected.

Judge

Judge is not here to decide
Who is winner and who is loser.
Judge is here to decide
Who is in right point.

No judge is empower to
Pronounced death sentences
No judge has got power
To give life to the lifeless.

Judge can not decide
The synonyms and antonyms
Judge can not say
The right source for right word.

So long as the judge is mortal
Judge is judge
If judge is eternal.

Convenient democracy

We vote for convenient democracy
Prefer to live in condition with low frequency
No rule to prevail and no more rights to avail
Anarchy rule to stay and any good governance must fail

Is it really untrue democratic republic?
Where mob burn property meant for public?
Where thousand die for adulterated drink?
Over loaded boats swim but at midway sink

Scammers rule, flout rules and amass wealth
Masses suffer with malnutrition and endanger health
Onion, vegetables and medicines disappear
Loaded with all duties again reappear

I shall still praise the best managers
Who sit on top and add more scavengers
Let public suffer, loot property in anger
Let food grain rot but millions die in hunger

Markets and commodities stand manipulated
Impact not understood and totally diluted
Common men suffer for the want of daily bread
His concern is unheard and no attempt is made to read

Buffer stock is raised only to rot
Essential things are lost even without bring brought
Prizes soar as scarcity is created artificially
No one regrets it heartily or miss it really

We solemnly swear to be true democratic
Commit ever more to be unrealistic and erratic
No love for rule of land and freedom for laundering
The concept is loudly appreciated and everyone is wondering

The casters vote is for open sale
It is sordid affair and different tale
We send only cheaters and corrupt
Only to look at our apathy and act inept

The true representatives may pound on our flash
Some new schemes for grab and to be offered fresh
Ready made explanations to convince public with oratory
Rest all function only as rituals and simply to look obligatory

National flag may fly and go high up in sky
Lot many questions may remain unanswered, why?
Lot many promises may be made just to fool for another year
We are used to forget such promises as if not heard by ears

We have made no earnest attempt for it to understand
The true democracy is only option for us as new brand
The authoritarian rule has been witnessed by all
To invite it here will prove to be a fatal call

Let them not prove we are mother of all ills
We have sent them in parliament for all wanton kills
They are representatives and acting as per our aspirations
There life is like open book devoid of any revelations

Nation may suffer as well as we as people
Who will decide about the act to be simple or culpable?
Will this go on unabated or halted somewhere?
If allowed unchecked then we have place to go no where

We must present democracy as a force holding within itself the seeds of unlimited progress by the human race. By our actions we should make it clear that such a democracy is a means to a better way of life, together with a better understanding among nations. Tyranny inevitably must retire before the tremendous moral strength of the gospel of freedom and self-respect for the individual, but we have to recognize that these democratic principles do not flourish on empty stomachs, and that people turn to false promises of dictators because they are hopeless and anything promises something better than the miserable existence that they endure. However, material assistance alone is not sufficient. The most important thing for the world today in my opinion is a spiritual regeneration which would reestablish a feeling of good faith among men generally. Discouraged people are in sore need of the inspiration of great principles. Such leadership can be the rallying point against intolerance, against distrust, against that fatal insecurity that leads to war. It is to be hoped that the democratic nations can provide the necessary leadership.

Even While Sitting On The Shore

Why should I not want to share with you,
Your point of view?
Why would I not wish to hear what your eyes see?
Or feel what is in your heart to reveal?

Why should I not wish with you to connect?
When only you can describe the soil felt under your feet.
When only you have been touched by winds of fragrant breezes...
When I sometimes may choose to sit alone in a funk!

Why should I not want to share with you,
Your point of view?
My life is not always narrowly perspective.
Or retrospectively reflective.

I often wonder about you.
I do!
Even while sitting on the shore,
To observe low tides.

Vote For Me

Vote for me, vote for me
I want the nomination for the presidency
Vote for me, vote for me
If I am elected, this is how it will be
Ill cut your tax in half
Ill make the russians laugh
Ill feed the hungry people everywhere
Ill bring the railroads back
New trains and new track
From waikiki to old deleware
Vote for me, vote for me
I want the nomination for the presidency
Vote for me, vote for me
If I am elected, this is how it will be
Ill give detroit one year
New cars that run on beer
Or anything except gasoline
Im looking to the sun
More power for everyone
And the cleanest sky that youve ever seen
Im not going to kid you, theres a lot to do
Little can I promise, its really up to you
But if we all work together
And I think we can
And if you want some new ideas
Then Im your man
Vote for me, vote for me
I want the nomination for the presidency
Vote for me, vote for me
If I am elected, this is how it will be
Ill work for global peace
And the sweet release
Of the love and human kindness in us all
I would give all Ive got
You just give me a shot
Somehow, I know that I can win the fall

A Different Point Of View

(tennant/lowe)
----------------------------
When Im sitting so close to you
Theres only one thing that I wanna do
But I know what youre likely to say
That Im going about it the wrong way
We cant agree about anything
Where to go or even where weve been
And I know what youre likely to do
Say that Ive never cared about you
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You dont believe a single word I say
If Id say black was white, youd say it was grey
But in spite of being treated this way
I still dream of you all night and day
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
Just this once
Just say yes
Please
Youve got a clever way of haunting me
Im never scared, but youre still daunting me
cause I know what youre likely to say
And I know that youll get your own way
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view

The authoritarian impulse is reasserting itself, to challenge free people and free societies, everywhere. In our own country, from the trivial to the truly dangerous, it is the range and regularity of the untruths we see that should be cause for profound alarm, and spur to action. Add to that the by-now predictable habit of calling true things false, and false things true, and we have a recipe for disaster. As George Orwell warned, "The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." … The question of why the truth is now under such assault may well be for historians to determine. But for those who cherish American constitutional democracy, what matters is the effect on America and her people and her standing in an increasingly
unstable world — made all the more unstable by these very fabrications. What matters is the daily disassembling of our democratic institutions. We are a mature democracy — it is well past time that we stop excusing or ignoring — or worse, endorsing — these attacks on the truth. For if we compromise the truth for the sake of our politics, we are lost.
