If I Wanted To

If I wanted to I could do anything right
I could dance with the devil on a
Saturday night
If I wanted to I could turn matches to gold
I could smoke drink swear and I would never
grow old
I wouldn't have to be in love with you
If I only wanted to
If I only wanted to

If I wanted to I could run fast as a train
Be as sharp as a needle that's twisting your brain
If I wanted to I could turn mountains to sand
Have political leaders in the palm of my hand
I wouldn't have to be in love with you
If I only wanted to
If I only wanted to

I could leave tonight
And I would be all right
Stop holding on
If I wanted to
If I only wanted to

If I wanted to I could be as patient as death
Fix this hole in my heart leaking into my flesh
If I wanted to I could turn sparks into ice
There'd never be another woman who could make you
think twice
I wouldn't have to be in love with you
If I only wanted to
If I only wanted to

Memories Engraned in My Walls

Memories engrained in the Walls:

You were my first love, and my only love, the love I wanted to make last with you forever. I gave you my soul and everything within it. I held nothing back from you.
The joy we shared for so short of a time, why did you take it all away from me?

The ring I gave you matched the sparkle in my eyes, and each kiss I bestowed meant forever. But in one instant all of this you severed.

Now I sit here still a year later, and your ghost haunts the memories of my mind. I see you move to a wall, and that wall opens up like a Broadway stage. The scene replays in my head with you and me flirting for the first time, and me sitting on the bench desperately wanting to kiss you. And your ghost moves to the bedroom, where you and I made love.

Each time I tried to kiss your soul, and each time you engulfed me more. How could you walk away from me so fast, when I did everything on my end to ensure it would last?

I could take an array of bullets with a smile on my face, as long as I could look into your eyes. I knew they would make the pain go away. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you, and I’m ashamed that there is nothing I still wouldn’t do for you. Because this was my first experience of true love, and I pray it is not my last.

For if it were my last, then these days are long and will be hard to pass, especially when everywhere I look there are memories of you engrained in my walls.

I Couldn't Write The Poem I Wanted To Write

I couldn't write the poem I wanted to write-
I do not know why exactly
Some days it works
And some nights it works
And some times it just does not work at all-

I couldn't write the poem I wanted to write-
There have been so many things in my life
I have wanted to do
And not been able to-

As I grow older
I fear there will be more and more simple things
I will not be able to do.

So much of what we are
Is in these failures-

I sometimes think how sad it is
That I have failed in so many things-

All my life I have known failures
And it will not end until I do-

I couldn't write the poem I wanted to write,
And this is not it, either.

If This Was Not For You

If this was not for you,
I wouldn't take the time.
I'm sure I can find other things to do.
If this was not for you.

If this was not for you,
I don't think I'd be sitting with this patience.
Wanting to achieve what I believe,
You would approve.
If this was not for you,
I would not bother...
To listen to my heart like this.

It has been too long I've wanted someone like you.
Someone with finesse and attitude.
Direct and yet aggressive.
Optimistically objective...
Without getting upset.
With the very best of me...
There for you 'if' you do!

If this was not for you,
I wouldn't take the time.
And you wouldn't know this,
Is something from my heart!
Something that is mine to give...
And deliver to you as is!

I'm sure I can find other things to do.
If this was not for you....
The moment this was started.
You have to know that's true.
My feelings for you would have long departed.
From a passing fantasy into the emptiness,
Of forgotten thoughts.

If this was not for you,
You would not make time...
Stand still in my mind!
Nor will I seek to find it

Ghost Train

Here they come to steal my soul
(Ghost train)
Wait it out until I know
(Ghost train)
Trying not to feel I give it
(Ghost train)
Moving up until I go go
(Ghost train)
She was not to hear about me leaving
(Ghost train)
Trying to be near my heart
(Ghost train)
Trying not to feel like bleeding
(Ghost train)
Moving up until I'm taught to your side
(Ghost train)
Yeah yeah yeah
(Ghost train)
yeah yeah yeah
(Ghost train)
yeah yeah yeah
(Ghost train)
Got suicide for my baby
(Ghost train)
Living up until I wanted
(Ghost train)
Seeing like I'm out of bed, yeah
(Ghost train)
Moving up and taught I'm a weapon
(Ghost train)
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Ghost train)
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Ghost train)
I see myself pretend how to get there
(Ghost train)
Dripping down, I'm poisoned on the street
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Come on come on come on!
(Ghost train)
Got suicide for my baby

Wanted To Cry (but The Tears Wouldn't Come)

Music : Klaus Meine
Lyrics: Klaus Meine
Well here comes my baby
She's dressed oh so cute
She looks a little crazy
In her Hollywood shoes
Well baby loves driving
In my hot brand new car
She thinks less than flying
Is not fast enough
But when you turn upside down
Life ain't too much fun
I wanted to cry
But the tears wouldn't come
Here comes my baby
She's the one I adore
Well she's a lucky lady
Born in a Gucci store
With gold cards in motion
And the platinum too
She jets across the ocean
A little faster than you
But when it rains in St. Barth
Life ain't too much fun
I wanted to cry
But the tears wouldn't come
I wanted to cry
But the tears wouldn't come
Every night without you
I miss to have you by my side
Ohh, so I keep waiting, I keep waiting
I swear I never let you go again
Well here comes my baby
With a Brad Pitt lookalike
Right through immigration
And straight out of my life
Well it seems the friendly skies
Are pretty good fun
I wanted to cry
But the tears wouldn't come
I wanted to cry
I wanted to cry
I wanted to cry
But the tears wouldn't come

A Poem To My Teacher - Graduation

Teacher,
I had many to say long ago
And now when time’s coming
I just didn’t know what to say

Teacher,
It had been so long
I wanted to express my gratitude
For every sickener you’d held
For the patience starting to run out
For your love that I wouldn’t get anymore
Thank you

Teacher,
It had been so long
I wanted to say a sorry
For my naughtiness
For my stupidity
For your time spent for us
I’m really sorry

Teacher,
It had been so long
I wanna ask you
Had you ever got angry?
Had you ever been desperate?
Do you love us?
Whatever you felt, sorry and thanks

Teacher,
It had been so long
I wanna hug you
For each knowledge given
For the bright tomorrow
For you, the future’s light
I do love you

I Have Written Too Much

I HAVE WRITTEN TOO MUCH

I have written too much -
I have published too much-
I have worried too much
About the making of my own name-
I have wanted fame and honor too much -
I have made too much of myself -

I am embarrassed and ashamed
About the excessive attention I sometimes receive-
After all I am only a little man
Who has wanted to hide away in his own dreams-
A little man embarrassed when singled out for the special love he wants so much-

If I were completely honest I wouldn't even write these lines,
But I need to write to live-
I don't think I really need anyone to read them
But of course I want still to be praised for them.

Loneliness takes my hand;

and I fall hostage to my emotions again,
it’s grip grows tighter upon the beating of my heart,
and I hold on tighter to the sorrow,
that’s become all I know anymore
you swore it couldn’t work
wouldn’t work
but I thought
if it doesn’t work
I’ll make it work
and I tried
but effort unrequited
turns to regret
of what could’ve been
but never was
and all I wanted was love
but I was just never enough
for you, was I?
and everything I did
I did it in vain
and I did it for you.
but you just threw in it my face
and you became the one thing
I could never replace,
and I could never just let go
even when I watch you turn loose
of the pieces of me,
in all the places I never wanted to go
and I hope you know,
I’d still do anything for you.
for what it’s worth.

I Can't Help It

[1st Verse]
Looking In My Mirror
Took Me By Surprise
I Can't Help But See You
Running Often Through My Mind

[2nd Verse]
Helpless Like A Baby
Sensual Disguise
I Can't Help But Love You
It's Getting Better All The Time

[Chorus]
I Can't Help It If I Wanted To
I Wouldn't Help It Even If I Could
I Can't Help It If I Wanted To
I Wouldn't Help It

The Dead Can Never Be Forgotten

The rose turns black, the eyes turn red. A ghost haunting my soul. Still you right next to me. Seven years seems so long, dead and gone. You are missed as is your succulent kiss. Lost in the night fog, the glass broke I held you in my arms, carried you safety but it was already too late, you complained of being cold. And it took all i had to hold the tears from falling. I died inside. I was weak and imbudent. It destroyed everything I loved and knew. Even now you are still in my thoughts, driving me with last words that were to me. I love you but you must let go. You already knew. For better or worse, i wanted to curse the world at that moment. You were gone pronounced dead on the spot. You were the best I ever had. To replace that hole in my heart hasn't happen yet. I live with many regrets but not that night. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I still pray for the day when I get to see you again. But I must keep going, keep looking on how to fill the void its still there, even after all the time. Most wouldn't understand, you were the one of a million. I've tried and tried. Its still not working, its still hurting, but it has become dull a faded. But must never forget what it meant the time we spent together. Every waking moment just another mistake on top of greatest love I ever had. But finally I have truly moved on this was the closest I ever felt to love I had for you. And now I fucked it up yet again. Its okay there will be another day when the sun shines bright again.

I Wanted To Write The Most Beautiful Poem

I wanted to write the most beautiful poem
The one beyond any music I had known-
The one which would reveal the changes
in yellows and greens
spring sunlight whispered to the trees

I wanted to write the most beautiful poem
The one which would tell the stories of all those I have loved and cared for-
I wanted to write the most beautiful poem
As a poem of Kindness-

I wanted to write the most beautiful poem
Of sublime and overpowering distance
Of stars when stars were dreams -

I wanted to write the most beautiful poem-

But I knew many other poems already written
Would always be far more beautiful than mine-

So I tried to write the most beautiful poem I could-

But the light outside
The world and its colors
The beauties we see and hear everyday
Said to me again and again,

'Walk more humbly with your God and do Justice and love Mercy also'.

Why Do I Write

I write from my sadness
I write from the madness
I write because I have something to say
I write to pass the day
I write only from the heart
I write for sometimes I am not that smart
Whatever is in head just comes out on paper (in this case a word document) , and I go with the flow
Write to let my mind go

I follow my hand to where ever it takes me
I write all the things that I can see
I write when I am happy, but not as much
I write from my heart that you can touch
I write because I’d go insane
I am driven to write quell my pain

At times I feel alone so I write what I am feeling
I write for it is self-healing
Confident not so I write it all away
I write and write to pass the day
I write to comfort my soul that cries out in the night
I write for love is always out of sight
I write so I don't have to cry any more
I write for I have no one to adore
I write so someone somewhere will hear my plea
I write for someone is out there for me
I am lost and I the clown
I write to turn my frown upside down

I write to embrace the sadness I hide inside
I write with my heart opened wide
I write to silence the ghost
I write for I’ve been let down by the one I loved the most
I write through the stormy weather
I write for I am light as a feather
I am not a writer nor am I a poet
I write for the grief I do know it

I will write until I draw my last breath
I write because I'll die a lonely death
I have to write for strangers delight
I write because I have to write
I write for my own happiness
I write to relieve my stress
I write because I have no other choice
I write as if I was writing a letter
I write because I can’t do any better
I write because I am afraid not to
I write for this is what I do
I write for I give a damn
I write just because I am
