One is that, look, this is going to be something when the American people realize - once it's passed - that, A, it does take care of preexisting conditions; B, you're insurance rates aren't going to skyrocket; C, the insurance companies aren't going to be running the show like they were before; D, you're going to be in a position where you can keep your insurance that you have. My Canadian Chronicles 009
For Vera, Suzanne and Danielle
(The three ladies in question.)
Underneath the backdropp of the Rockies
with their magic touching everyone
they tugged at my arms
pulling me into the street
to take a photograph from the centre of the road.
Someone passing quipped.
“I hope his life insurance is paid up.”
I took the photograph and got back on the sidewalk.
No cars or trucks were coming
and the ladies knew my insurance was paid up.
If anyone thinks this was, untoward
they would be very wrong.
It was just a bit of fun
by my wife and our friend and her daughter
as we were laughing all the time in Banff
underneath the sun and in the shadows of the Rockies.
Where we were having a wonderful happy day,
an adventure to dream about
and keep with us always.

poor man talking this morning,
told me his insurance lapsed...
he went up and reinstated....
but they took his tag for 30 days....
makes about 8.50 an hour,
the only job he can find...
now he's afraid he's gonna lose it....
cant get to work for 30 days....

Days Like These
i don't know why,
on days like these,
i feel so alone,
people seem to leave me behind,
thinking they know me,
i want to feel like i belong,
but, on days like these,
i feel people don't want me around,
making it easier to fall back into,
my old habits bacause there is only,
so much i can take,
before everything start to feel,
like it is all falling apart,
