The magnetic cleavage of the spectral lines is dependent on the size of the charge of the electron, or, more accurately, on the ratio between the mass and the charge of the electron.

According to well-known electrodynamic laws, an electron moving in a magnetic field is acted upon by a force which runs perpendicular to the direction of motion of the electron and to the direction of the magnetic field, and whose magnitude is easily determined.

Electron Blue
You're on your ear, the ocean's near
The light has started to fade
Your high is timed, you found the climb
It's hard to focus on more than what's in front of you
Electron Blue
Adventure rings with a page and
When it dawns on you,
It singes blue
Your buzz beginning to wane.
Adventure has laid its claim on you
It's all you want to do.
You
You know where to run
You run Electron Blue.
And who am I?
I'm just a guy
I've got a story like everyone
But in your eyes
You looked surprised
And didn't know where to run
I looked to her
She's found the cure
Her future's already begun
Tomorrow's gaining speed on you
It's all you want to do
You
You know where to run
You run Electron Blue
You
You know where to run
You run electron blue
So bide your time
You'll feel the climb
Your high it builds like a lightning storm
It sings like pearls
You know that girl
And no one is any the wiser
So as if on cue.....
Electron Blue
Tomorrow's gaining speed on you
It's all you want to do
You
You know where to run
You run, Electron Blue
You
You know where to run
You run, Electron Blue
You
You know where to run
You run, Electron Blue

We have learnt through experience that when an electrical ray strikes the surface of an atom, an electron, and in some circumstances a second and even a third electron, can be detached.

What Does An Electron Think About Ethics?
What does an electron think about ethics?
When it's socially antisymmetric
And refusing to work with its brothers
Including anyone charged positronic
Perhaps its works best at long distance
With good friends named protons and neutrons
To provide a strong working dynamic
In respect to magnetic connections
Maybe if you respect personal space
It will fire to the right applied wire
Ballancing the positive and negative
Under duress to occupational hazards
What does an electron think about ethics?
On and off depending the currents

In the absence of a magnetic field the period of all these oscillations is the same. But as soon as the electron is exposed to the effect of a magnetic field, its motion changes.

Poets of The Electron Dream
There is a single factum
for the current century
which has
All Meaning
for Poetry.
The Physicists
have
since the 1920's
told us that electrons
can be in two different places
simultaneously.
The Principle of Uncertainty.
They have finally caught up with
Poets who
have long
argued that
Poetry comes
through
many times
from somewhere else;
other channels
sometimes unknown to
the Poet who
often hurries
to write down
new poems
originating
from venues
which seem to burst through
to consciousness;
Whole Cloth
and fully formed.
Commonplace
yet it has never
been explained:
how this could be?
But now
we all
have to take seriously
that not only electrons
can be here and there
simultaneously,
but perhaps too
so can I and you.
Taking this idea seriously
is to understand
that an Idea
in the human mind
has electrons too
and that any idea
may have in fact
come not only from you
but also from that other you
that is not in the room
that may in fact simultaneously
exist
in parallel
somewhere else
leading a slightly different
life Poetically.
A second point made
in Physics labs
is that electrons
everywhere
pop in and out of existence
instantly;
constantly.
But where do they go when they go
and from where are they coming back from?
Finally, there is physical proof that
Electron A with a positive charge,
if changed to a negative one, will
cause its match
all the way across the universe
to revert its charge to positive.
All matter
therefore is
in constant contact
across all of the Universe
at the same time.
This is the 'Theory of Inflation'
Actually not a theory mind you.
At this point a proven fact.
Poets have long argued
'The Connectedness of All Things'
Now it seems
the Physicists
are agreeing;
boggled minds
in the laboratory
are now
sounding like
Poets of the Electron Dream.
Either Physicists are now Poets
or Poets created Physicists.

There is no Charge...
Generosity of the earth,
For whatever its worth.
There is no charge
The fragrance of flowers,
At any time and hour.
There is no charge
The shade of a beckoning tree,
Offering shelter to a refugee.
There is no charge
The birds early morning orchestra,
Uplifting like chanting a mantra.
There is no charge
Motherly caress of the gentle breeze,
So soothing, stress is released.
There is no charge
Days and nights,
Nature’s cues to sleep and rise.
There is no charge
Watching the ebb and flow of ocean tide,
As the Sun sets and goes to hide.
There is no charge
did you say everything is expensive,
how can any one be happy.
What if nature gave you a whack
And tried to teach you what is lack.
Can you handle her balance sheet?
Indignant, you’ll scream, you cheat, you cheat.

If I Were in Charge of the World (my version)
If I Were in Charge of the World
I’d cancel Brussels’s Sprouts,
School nights, grape medicine, and also spiders.
If I were in charge of the world,
There’d be more domestic animals,
Longer days, and open space to have more room.
If I were in charge of the world,
You wouldn’t have sadness,
You wouldn’t have bedtimes,
Or “eat your vegetables, ”
You wouldn’t even have vegetables.
If I were in charge of the world,
A chocolate cake would be served everyday.
All videogames would be “E for everyone.”
And a person who plays Guitar Hero 3,
And sometimes swats at a bumblebee,
Would still be allowed to be in charge of the world!

Overlord of the World
If I were in charge of the world
Lots of things would be different
There would be world peace
All war would cease
If I were in charge of the world
I would never be sad
Always surrounded
By a friendly fad
If I were in charge of the world
All the resources would be replenished
We would never run out of oil
All of this taking place in the dreamworld
If I were in charge of the world
There would be no homeless people
People would care for others
The cruelness will crumple
*Fad is an inside joke; it’s a person who is kind and friendly

If I Were In Charge of the World
If I were in charge of the world
I'd cancel oatmeal,
Monday mornings,
Allergy shots, and also Sara Steinberg.
If I were in charge of the world
There'd be brighter nights lights,
Healthier hamsters, and
Basketball baskets forty eight inches lower.
If I were in charge of the world
You wouldn't have lonely.
You wouldn't have clean.
You wouldn't have bedtimes.
Or "Don't punch your sister."
You wouldn't even have sisters.
If I were in charge of the world
A chocolate sundae with whipped cream and nuts would be a vegetable
All 007 movies would be G,
And a person who sometimes forgot to brush,
And sometimes forgot to flush,
Would still be allowed to be
In charge of the world.

Charles in Charge
New boy in the neighborhood
Lives down stairs and it's understood.
He's there just to take good care of me.
Like he's one of the family.
Charles in charge of
Our days and our nights.
Charles in charge of
Our wrongs and our rights.
So I say
I want Charles in charge of me.

Drink Me Eat Me
the known world keeps
expanding contracting
with wondrous profusion
though potions drunk
wizard cakes eaten
are no longer necessary
when venturing through
kaleidoscopic looking glass
nor are rabbit holes needed
spy glass, magnifying glass, telescope,
microscope, radio telescope,
electron microscope, Hubble telescope,
amazing slices of perceived creation revealed,
expanding perceptions cosmic and microscopic
in a garden of rabbit hole worm hole replaced
an electron microscopic
images the sample surface
by scanning it with a high-
energy beam of electrons
in simple raster scan pattern
it’s a kind of magic?
funny how we are never
far from the garden?
A raster scan, or raster scanning?
analogy; raster graphics, pattern image storage
transmission; used in computer bitmap image
systems; raster from Latin rastrum (a rake)
seek meaning; derived from radere (to scrape)
knowledge back in the garden rake over meaning?
rake earth over seeds
seeds of embryo ideas
fertile bed scatter ideas
choice seeds will grow
the pattern left by the tines of a rake,
when drawn straight, lines of a rake,
resembles parallel lines of a raster,
line-by-line scanning creates a raster
a systematic process of covering
an area progressively, one line at a time
is the rectangular pattern of image
capture and reconstruction in television
although a great deal faster
similar in most-general sense
to how one's gaze travels
when one reads text a poem
rastrum, an instrument
for drawing musical
staff lines, as we seek
celestial music universe
composed, in cosmic song
funny how
a Hubble telescope
with glasses
produced
ever more
detailed images
electron microscopy
a crystalline assembly
of electron diffraction
patterns of unstained
crystals show crystal
lattice sampling of
the coiled-coil molecular
transform to a resolution
beyond... a ‘spot-scan’
method of electron imaging,
micrographs of unstained
crystals have been obtained
that visibly diffract laser
light from crystal spacings
as small as... a projection
map was calculated to...
using electron diffraction
amplitudes and phases
from computer-processed
images, the projection map
clearly shows modulations
in density arising from...
the first time this type of
modulation has been revealed?
truly we tumble ever further
down the rabbit hole
in quest controlled descent
crystals have p2 plane group
symmetry examinations of tilted
specimens shows the unit cell
only singular one molecule thick
possible modes of packing
of molecules in three
dimensions are discussed
eat me drink me
in ever smaller bigger
increments seems
we ever more must

Stealin
Words and music by queen
Thats the way I am
Does everybody want to know
This is the way I lead my life - you know
Wheelin and dealin
And a little bit of stealin
You know thats the way I grew up
Thats the only life I know
Thats the way my mother taught me
There you go
Stealin
I gave you the key to my home
I left you alone in charge of my heart
Hey stealin
You got me wheelin and dealin
You play with my feelin
Right from the start
Cant afford to pay my rent
I had to use my common sense
To get some money I owe - oho
This guy said look in my head
Make some easy bread
Stealin is the only way that I know
Stealin yeah only way that I know
Yeah I like stealin baby stealin
I gave you both my own on my own
Left you alone
Now youll be stealin stealin stealin
All my heart
Youre my babys heart
Uh uh
Baby let em bleed
Youre in charge of my heart
You are in charge of my heart
You are in charge
You are in charge
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Yes you are in charge of my heart
I gave you the key
And turned on the bed
I gave you the key
Come on I said what have I got
What have I got
Yes
I, I got the key out of my heart
Now get that key out of my heart
? ? ? of my heart
Come on
