Hold Me

San Diego, California, 11/2/93)
Give me, give me, what I really need (2x)
Hold me, hold me, hold me in my sleep
Give me, give me, what I really need
All our children in there, doing something swell
Spread out what begins my Hell, there's nothing left in our way
Give me, give me, give me what I need
Oh, give me, oh hold me, oh treat me for today
What I'm talking about (2x)
Is just the kind of things, of the doubt
Give me, give me, give me...
Give me, give me, give me what I need
Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...
Hold me, hold me, hold me in my sleep
Oh, hold me, hold me, hold me in my sleep

What We Are Now To Both Ourselves

we are two blue clips of the clothesline
we cling to a rope
hold on, hold on
lest we fall to the ground

behind us is this blur
of trees and leaves and twigs
above us the clouds
heavy with rain

then the shower begins
hold on, hold on to the rope
lest we fall to the ground
dead and then be gone

Holding On

Holding On
Written by: Wilfred Charles Mellers, Sunday, October 14,2012

A friend once told me it was going to be difficult, yet I held on
Years have past and yet I am still holding on
The rope that holds us together has become frayed, yet I still hold on
Time passes by and the rope that binds us has become a string, yet I still hold on
Worn now down to its last strand, yet I still hold on
If the rope should snap and I plummet to my demise, I will still be clutching on
I will go kicking and screaming knowing that through all the difficulties I never let go
I relentlessly kept holding on

Rope hair woman

Rope hair woman
Where you’re off to tonight
Rope hair woman
You’re lookin’ out of sight
O rope hair woman
I love with all my might
Rope hair woman if you could if you can
Let me be your dread lock man.
Dread lock man
Can you understand
That a rope hair woman
Does all that she can
To move you to that sexual point
Better then your hand
O rope hair woman
Here is my plain
Rope hair woman I will give
Up my womanly man
O rope hair woman
The world can understand
That you want a dread lock man.

Let Us Give Freedom

Dream dream away
But never give up your dreams
There shall come a sunshine day
With fresh river streams
Any hope is my hope
And any joy is mine
Hold on to your freedom rope
Let in all the sunshine

All justice is to give
To make equality
And in peace therefore live
To learn and be
Summer is not a thought
But a fresh new spring
‘Freedom come’ is taught
Together we now sing:

Let us give freedom
For everyone that's in need
Not just for some
That so have plead
But for all mankind
In these days for all
Let us together it find
In our need and call

Dream dream away
But never give up your dreams
There shall come a sunshine day
With fresh river streams
Any hope is my hope
And any joy is mine
Hold on to your freedom rope
Let in all the sunshine

Where's My Billy Goat Gone To?

'Twas a birthday gift Miss Posie had
When she was nine, and twenty:
Not of gold -- Oh, no! -- nor gem, nor pearl,
Tho' he who gave had plenty.
'Twas a gift she took so much to heart,
Her neighbors thought her silly;
'Twas a B-A-B-Y (Baby) Goat,
A snow-white Baby Billy!
Pretty little Billy, Billy -- Oh!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?

Take my home! Take my farm!
Yes, me too (if you want to);
But tell me! tell me!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?
Pretty little Billy, Billy -- Oh!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?

When she tried to teach him how to read,
Twas only "baa" he'd utter;
As she coaxed him then with cake and cream,
He'd slyly turn to butt her.
Yet he taught himself a thousand tricks,
And many a curious caper;
He would clamber to her chimney top,
And dine there on brown paper.

When the winter came she bought him shoes,
And flannel red she ordered
For a Sunday suit, with trousers cut
Four-legged and embroidered
On the steeple soon in tatters hung,
They set the parson snarling;
And he called that goat Be-el-ze-bub --
The one that she called Darling.
Pretty little Billy, Billy -- Oh!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?

He was fond of roaming on the rocks,
With workmen in the quarry;
And if there he found their luncheon pails,
Not he but they were sorry.
For he raised aloft his iron brow,
Despite the foreman's clamor;
And the pails, he crushed them one by one,
As with a blacksmith's hammer.
Pretty little Billy, Billy -- Oh!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?

Then for pails replaced and pails concealed
Each morning he went searching,
Till at last he found a shining prize,
Upon a boulder perching.
Had he read its label, "Dynamite!"
He might have known his blunder;
But he gave it one tremendous blow,
And then came peals of thunder!
Pretty little Billy, Billy -- Oh!
Where's my Billy Goat gone to?

Sharing The Ultimate Gift

I want to share a special gift with you that God has given to me,
This gift like most others that you will receive is absolutely free.

However unlike other gifts that you may have received in the past,
This special gift and this one alone through all eternity will last.

Although you can't see this gift, it's the greatest you can receive,
This gift is not in a box, but in the heart of all those who believe.

And even though this gift is one of a kind and very special indeed,
You'll surely want to give this gift away as soon as it is received.

Don't be concerned about giving away something you didn't use,
For God said “Blessed are the feet of those who bring good news.”

This gift will surprise you on the day you decide to give it away,
You won't feel any loss at all with more to give the following day.

My friend you will be Eternally Grateful when you finally choose,
To truly embrace but give away this gift that you can never lose.

By now you know this gift is none other than Jesus Christ the Lord,
And your faithful sharing of this gift, by Him, will not be ignored.

For our Great Blessed Hope, who through the ages many have adored,
At His return will bring to all His faithful, an Everlasting Reward.

So the next gift you receive and think you'll treasure forevermore,
Remember that the only truly lasting gift is Jesus Christ The Lord.

A Gift From Me To You

I am sending you all
a gift for Christmas.
The gift isn’t big at all,
but when it blossoms,
it is the biggest gift of all.
It comes with love and hugs
that are just for you to keep
for a rainy day
to chase the blues away.
You won’t see the gift
as it is invisible to see,
but you will know its there
and everyone will see.
You see the gift
I am giving you for Christmas
is something from the heart.
It is too big
to fit in any box.
The gift is the gift of friendship,
the most precious treasure
I can give,
it comes from a loving heart
for as long as I may live.
So please accept my gift
as it comes from me to you.

Jumping Rope

We are jumping rope together
we are jumping rope together
unwinding naughty knots of tether
we are jumping rope together

We are jumping rope together
we are skipping beats together
pouting panting chasing chants
unraveling rigid wraps to sever

We are jumping rope together
we are jumping rope together
jointly jogging jagged breath
suddenly we
sneeze!

Hold On To Me

I wanna know what you dream, oh baby
Am I one with your fantasy
I wanna show you my deepest feelings
Aint that how loves supposed to be
Give me love hold on to me
Give me love hold on to me
Give me dreams hold on
...oh baby, give it up
Give me heart hold on to me
Give me soul hold on to me
Give me your smile hold on
...oh baby, give it all
I had enough of bad luck, oh baby,
All those nights that I cant replace
But none of the love in my past can claim me
Others go but you dont fade away
Give me love hold on to me
Give me love hold on to me
Give me dreams hold on
...oh baby, give it up
Give me heart hold on to me
Give me soul hold on to me
Give me your life hold on
...oh baby, give it all
I know in my heart its real
Know this is love I feel
If something aint right just say so baby
Dont let go...dont stay away...stay with me
Give me love hold on to me
Give me hope hold on to me
Give me dreams hold on
...oh baby, give it up
Give me heart hold on to me
Give me soul hold on to me
Give me your smile hold on
...oh baby, give it all

Illusion and ignorance

To mistake a rope for a snake
Or to mistake a snake for a rope
Is illusion in perception.
To take a rope for rope and
A snake for snake is knowledge.
To take a rope not for a rope
And a snake not for a snake
Is ignorance. We employ
All the three at variant times
At different degrees in life.

Give The World A Gift

Give the world a gift
something everyone will love
something they will all respect
something they look up to you for

Give the world a gift

something that brings tears of joy
something that brings life to those who wants to give up

something world wide
something unreal

Rope The Moon

(jess brown/jim denton)
I dont have a lot to show
For these years of hard work
If you look at what I own
Still shes always telling me
To hold on to my dreams
Even when my hope is gone
Some may say that dreamings just for fools
And there are times I thought that might be true
But she thinks I could rope the moon
In her eyes there is nothing I cant do
When I think its out of reach
Shes the reason I still try
She thinks I could rope the moon
When I look at the sky
But cant see through the clouds
She shows me the brightest stars
If I think of coming back
cause Im having my doubts
She tells me Ive come so far
Nothing in this world comes easily
But I cant lose with her right next to me
cause she thinks I could rope the moon
In her eyes there is nothing I cant do
When I think its out of reach
Shes the reason I still try
She thinks I could rope the moon
Oh she thinks I could rope the moon

Hard Lines, Sunken Cheeks

As a child I was given the gift to entertain you.
But through blood I inherited a life that could destroy you.
I drink all day. I smoke all day. Ive done it all but tap
The vein.
These hard lines and sunken cheeks are text book reasons
All these christians come alive and try to sell you
My soul for a goat, yet Ill outlive the old.
You know its bad, some may say sad, a hangover is
Inspiration. like a junkie I hurt for it. a bad trip, the
Emptiness. I never sleep, or always sleep a lack of
Fulfillment to me is me. the big picture.
These hard lines and sunken cheeks are part of
What the christians mean to immortalize my situation.
My soul for a goat. yet Ill outlive the old.
Embrace some religion. to get close to some
Undivine ejaculation point.
Simply to thy ghost I cling.
Simply to thy ghost I reject.
Simply to thy ghost I give spit.
Tempter, tempting, tempt me. molest me. you know that ill
Submit. for this is my weakness and it saves me from relationships
With those christians. you know theyll sell you my soul
For a goat. yet Ill outlive the old.

Gift Is A Must

Giving gift must form one's duty.
Give it to who deserves and needs.
Give it to who could not repay.
It can be a gift of treasure,
A gift of talent or of time.
View not the receivers as beggars.

Holiday meals

Here's a poem that will get your goat
But my goat ate my poem.
I'll get him for that
He ate all that i wrote.
I wrote such wounderous words
And all he does is burp
It's absurd.
Now all I can do
Is not let him get my goat
The words that I wrote
Were hastey and few
The goat that I had made such a great stew.
