We do not regret the loss of our friends by reasons of their merit, but because of our needs and for the good opinion that we believed them to have held of us.

Not that I regret saying what I believed to be the truth, but I regret anything that I might have written or spoken that could have been used in a way to help to foster that atmosphere out of which came the loss of life of Brother Malcolm.

Our concern for the loss of our friends is not always from a sense of their worth, but rather of our own need of them and that we have lost some who had a good opinion of us.

Sonnet: There Are Reasons for All Things
There must be reasons for the shaking leaves;
There must be reasons for the swaying trees;
There must be reasons for the drying sheaves;
There must be reasons causing any breeze.
There must be reasons for the waves at sea;
There must be reasons for ripples in pond;
There must be reasons for the sea briny;
There must be reasons for a mutual bond.
There must be reasons for the changing climes;
There must be reasons for both drought and rain;
There must be reasons for good and bad times;
There must be reasons for a boon or bane.
There must be reasons for all things on earth;
But not much reasons why men sin since birth!

Loss Of...
Loss it seems is the worst kind of sorrow
Loss of dreams, the dreams of tomorrow
Loss of the moments you two should have shared
Loss of opportunities to show her you cared
Loss of the memories you both could have created
Loss of the romance once intense as you dated
Loss of a kiss, caress, or embrace
Loss of that special feeling no one else can replace
Loss of a look, the twinkle in her eye
Loss of the touch as you pass each other by
Loss of a future, from a past of regret
Loss of a last chance, how many do you get
Loss of a promise you never meant to break
Loss of two hearts that forever will ache

Only Love Can Say...
Count them like the random pennies safekept for a rainy day,
the obvious cruel reasons of the hows and whys;
loss pushes love away...
Take the cold frigid reasons to hand spread them out to lay,
ignoring the broken spirit that ever sighs;
with reasons only lost love can say...
While seconds force selective minutes to burn hours into play,
just as clouds make love to the unassuming skies;
loss pushes love away...
Where decisions forget to decide to remember what to say,
as the chance of choice whispers their goodbyes;
with reasons only lost love can say...
Reasons are adamantly ignored in this penny for a thought display,
but truth still screams from dead eyes;
loss pushes love away...
with reasons only lost love can say...

American Heroes
she had one hand on her Bible,
the other at her throat.
they fired the volley,
folded the flag....
and buried her only son.
she didnt know about politics,
didnt know much about the war.
she only knew what she believed,
about right and wrong, , , ,
about her country, and salvation.
he'd been a good kid,
all boy, found trouble pretty easy.
but he listened to her,
and he believed what she believed....
he died fighting, scared, and unsure....
she had one hand on her Bible,
the other at her throat.
the sheriff.s dept. brought the notice,
foreclosure, she just couldnt pay....
the deputy looked down, and walked away....
American heroes, loss after loss.
clinging to the values they were taught.
she packed her clothes, her Bible,
and a picture of him....
smiling in his uniform.

A Strong Believer
A strong believer,
Always looks at a negative,
As a right.
What was meant for bad,
Was meant for good.
Joseph's brothers,
Were jealous and mean.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
Joseph's boss wife lied,
Had him through in prison,
For false reasons.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
Job lost everything,
He was left with nothing.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
When someone else gets,
A larger helpin,
I realize that it's not,
The only blessin,
God is given.
I keep in mind that there,
Will be more than that,
I will be gettin.
I believe,
In the almighty.

Good bye year
I feel very bad at loss of something very dear
It may be even happy moments attached with the year
Each New Year has got it sown importance
We regret not catching with it when it has left at once
It is irony of the fact that nothing remains permanent here
Still it has got its importance and leave the impression somewhere
Nothing can be carried for long as it has to fade out in course
Every moment is to be enjoyed with the precious time of course
We develop close alliance with the passage of time
It may develop hot and cold relation sometimes
It may not be marred by short comings or bitterness
The feeling is something unique with its close up and fineness
We can assess about goodness or badness when it is not with us
It can be neighbors, friends, parents or relatives
We spend enough good time and stay together
It is one of the good moment altogether
These things take shape in particular time or year
Some of the bad things are refused to be believed by the ears
You might have been taken by surprise at sudden success
Fortune might have smiled all of sudden with unbelievable access
“It is said past must be buried and forgotten”
It reminds us of our glorious past often
Time can be unfavorable or failures might have marred
The person has ability to stand up again before he is debarred
I will bid good bye to a passed phase
I might have not spent the time with ease
Still it was race against time with no loss or win
It was all the time live and we were positively in

Two Good Reasons
You might think I'm crazy carry on this way
Calling you up in the middle of the night
But I've got something that I just can't wait to say.
I've got two good reasons I've been thinking of
Two good reasons why we should be in love
Come on, baby, it's so plain to see
I've got two good reasons about you and me.
You might think I'm desperate
But maybe I just might be
How can I convince you to see the love
Come on, baby, won't you take a chance with me.
I've got two good reasons I've been thinking of
Two good reasons why we should be in love
Come on, baby, it's so plain to see
I've got two good reasons about you and me...

Death of The Regreted
A loss
A knife
A cut
A new body to add
Among the others
of society
That gave up
And couldnt take anymore of your crap
Another soul
Who couldnt take the loss
Add it to the pile
Of the souls we all forgot
For their existance was regret
And we regret thier existance

If...
If ev'ryone believed in adulthood,
We would not behave like impish children.
If ev'ryone believed in something good,
Perhaps our evils would never happen.
If ev'ryone believed in honesty,
Thoughts would not require representation.
If ev'ryone believed in identity,
Each person would not crave affirmation.
If ev'ryone believed in truthfulness,
We would not follow laws of hypocrites.
If ev'ryone believed in wanting less,
Maybe we could learn to want what we get.
If ev'ryone believed in how they feel,
What is imagination would be real.

If I Lost My Way
Written by: neil diamond and gary burr
If I lost my way
Would you stand with me
Would you love me still
And care for what I need
If I lost my way
If I lost my faith
To face up to the test
Would I let you down
Would you love me less
If I lost my way
Tell me Im afraid without good reasons
Say that Im a fool to feel this way
Could it be the me that you believed in
Is all you really need to make you stay
If I lost my way
If I lost my way
If I lost my dreams
Could I keep your trust
Promise that our love
Would not turn to dust
If I lost my way
Tell me Im afraid without good reasons
Say that Im a fool to feel this way
Could it be the me that you believed in
Is all you really need to make you stay
If I lost my way
Would you stand with me
Would you love me still
And care for what I need
If I lost my way
If I lost my way
If I lost my way
If I lost my way

Man loses yet no loss.
An ovum grows at the ruin of a sperm.
A woman grows at the peril of a man.
Every love ends in loss to man.
Yet no man seems to regret the loss.
Loss is gain for man.

l Losses Are Sometime Good...
Loss, most of the time bad. On occasion, great!
SOME TIME A LOSS CAN BE GOOD!
Can loss sometime be happy. You bet! Ask some
divorced couples.
The other guy had a loss and I won!
My ex had a loss, of most of our assets. Yes,
you guessed it, I got 'em!
Insurance companies, now there's some, that
many take great delight,
when they suffer a loss.
When the tax man does an audit, if they have
a loss, we have a win! (best kind of loss)
The person who brings suite against you,
suffers a loss. (Ain't that sweet?)
A hostile mother-in-law, suffers a loss,
when her daughter gets divorced.
When one experiences a weight loss.
Now that's something that would make
millions of people happy!
When the owner of your building, is deemed
to be, 'rent controlled, ' it brings a loss
to the greedy titleholder. (break out the champagne)
When the neighbor you hadn't spoken to for years,
has a loss, of the keys, to her car.
When the kid, who keeps running over your lawn,
with his bike, has a loss, of the two wheel monster.
When you child, who you love, but drives you nuts
with their loud music, has a broken stereo,
and a loss of music. (They're unhappy. You're ecstatic.)
When one has a loss of sleep, because their spouse
was amorous all night. (Ahhhh, the good old days.)
When your in-laws, prepare to come to your house,
for the first time, and have a loss of directions.
When your spouse, who cremates every barbecue
they ever handled, has a loss of the coals.
(Actually you hid them.)
When the know-it-all comes to your home, and
can't say a word, because they had a loss of
their dentures.
Remember...If you have a loss, sometime,
the loss is good!

Four Beautiful Seasons
Why there are seasons…
And this may sound strange…
Is to provide good reasons
To justify change!
With no seasons when would birds nest?
When would some fly away
Because winter's a pest?
And Fall colors would be held at bay.
Christmas might well end up in June.
With no seasons no one would care.
Then the cow would jump over the moon.
Now that might roust up a stare!
Luckily for many good reasons
There'll always be change
In four beautiful seasons…
And that's not at all strange!

Loss of A Good Man
A loss of a good man.
By witness he takes death in his own hands.
No sorrow is felt.
No excitement is felt.
Nothing is felt again.
A rotten corpse with movements still intact
A soulless pact
The devil knows
He is running this mans show
With temptations of the heart
Stolen and broken
Crushed beyond the means of psychological recovery
He's no new discovery
He's both a victim and prey
Not for reasons that can be understood by you or me
He contemplates everything around him
With a complete and utter sensation of indifference
No one and nothing matters to him
He is the loss of another good man

There's no regret. You can't regret. I mean, I've felt regret but I've also refused to allow regret to sow a seed and live in me because I don't believe it. You feel it, it's like guilt, it's like jealousy, it's like all those horrible things. You've just got to snip them and get them out, because they're no good.
