You can always find good elements in the misfortune that strikes you.

A wretched mind
I am happy when fortune strikes me
But not so when it befalls others.
I feel relieved when misfortune strikes
Not me but others. A wretched mind.

Fortune of Misfortune
Tragedy or misfortune have another side to behold.
Oft times they point to directions heretofore untold.
Since life is so hurried with labors of the day,
Who can find a moment to view a different way?
There’s little time to decide if a chosen course is right.
Search for wealth drives happiness almost out of sight.
By becoming a cruel, omnipresent, unyielding master
Money can force chagrined slaves to labor ever faster.
Then fortune of misfortune strikes as all becomes strange.
Customs and thinking are challenged by airs of change.
Because of fear and uncertainty most fail to stay the course.
Tough the strong forge on using tragedy as their source.

Looking Into My Inner Self
Until I can look into my self
And find the real
Identity of my inner self,
I will not blame anyone
For my misfortune
Although the world
It is making me to do so
Still I will not blame
Anyone for my misfortune
Before I look in my inner self…

Kissing A Misfortune
Kissing a misfortune
Is a life`s last endeavour
As you never make a return.
Kissing a misfortune
Is a man`s lost game
As you don`t have a partner in it.
A slipped word,
A wrong unknowingly done and
A right forgotten to be done...
Kissing a misfortune
Is a friend`s tragedy and
Indeed a life`s ghost.

The Nurse's Watch
From 'The Boy's Wonderhorn'
The moon it shines,
My darling whines;
The clock strikes twelve:--God cheer
The sick both far and near.
God knoweth all;
Mousy nibbles in the wall;
The clock strikes one:--like day,
Dreams o'er thy pillow play.
The matin-bell
Wakes the nun in convent cell;
The clock strikes two:--they go
To choir in a row.
The wind it blows,
The cock he crows;
The clock strikes three:--the wagoner
In his straw bed begins to stir.
The steed he paws the floor,
Creaks the stable door;
The clock strikes four:--'tis plain
The coachman sifts his grain.
The swallow's laugh the still air shakes,
The sun awakes;
The clock strikes five:--the traveler must be gone,
He puts his stockings on.
The hen is clacking,
The ducks are quacking;
The clock strikes six:--awake, arise,
Thou lazy hag; come, ope thy eyes.
Quick to the baker's run;
The rolls are done;
The clock strikes seven:--
'Tis time the milk were in the oven.
Put in some butter, do,
And some fine sugar, too;
The clock strikes eight:--
Now bring my baby's porridge straight.

There is no greater misfortune, than to not be able to endure misfortune.
Its Got To Be Real
(l. stansfield/i. devaney/a. morris)
All my life I keep on searching for that special thing
How Ive tried to always find a love and understanding
To always see the light of day and to know that I am living
All my life I wont take if Im not giving
Only when the rain comes down
Only when the lightning strikes me
Will I find the answer for myself
Chorus:
Its got to be real
Be the best nothing less than wonderful
Its got to be real this time
Whats waiting there inside
Its got to be real
Knowing love know it can be powerful
Its got to be really love
So we can rise above
All my life I try to see the love inside myself
And I keep on trying in no uncertain terms
To let my light shine through
Only when the rain comes down
Only when the lightning strikes me
Will I find the answer for myself
Chorus
To always see the light of day and to know that I am living
All my life I wont take if Im not giving
Only when the rain comes down
Only when the lightning strikes me
Will I find the answer for myself
Chorus

Elements of Life
My mind is
a studio.
Always different
projects taking place.
Art, Dance,
Poetry, and Music.
Elements told in
different ways.
The art is
my creativity.
The expansion
of my mind.
The dancing is
what makes me stable.
To keep my mind
from running wild.
The poetry
hits hard.
Unleashing the emotions
locked away inside me.
The music is the
thoughts that i storm up.
To tell of my
understandings
These are the
elements that make
up my culture
And my culture
will not die
These are the
Elements that
makes me.
These are my
Elements of life.

The Mind
There rings the bell
The dream strikes hard
Awakening the girl
A dream so bad
There comes joy
The thoughts strike hard
Happy is the boy
In the end gets mad
There goes hope
Night strikes hard
Man hangs on a rope
A story so sad
There sounds the gun
Day dream strikes hard
The woman can't run
Just waits for the blood
There comes war
The life strikes hard
All on the floor
In the red liquid flood.

Fate plays its part.
I shall do: doing is pleasant.
I’ve to do: having done is pleasant.
I’m bound to do; doing is unpleasant.
Fortune strikes: a happy moment.
Fortune skips: an unhappy moment.
Misfortune hits: a bitter moment.
Heaven is not entirely in my hand.
Hell is not entirely my outcome.

Misfortune That
Misfortune that
I am unable to know
My mistakes and faults
And you kept me here
In this cage as a
Life prisoner and
Kept me idle.
Misfortune that
Here I am
And with my consent
And I know not
When to go
And where and you
Kept me idle.
