When the fish gets rotten, it all starts from the head.

The fish in me
Iam vegan, but! There is a fish in me.
The selfishness in me starts fuming,
..Every now and then makes me feel like crawl,
I make my world as small as possible,
Am I selfish?
Whenever “this fish” dominates
Its only one letter work “I”, “I” and “I”, I ponder
“This fish” screech
What about me? ? What about me? ?
This fish is whirling in the sea of jealousy,
I wish this sea of jealousy get dried up
And the fish to die in want of water.

Nothing To Tell, Begin With A Mermaid Story
Accept the fact
The fear that you have nothing to tell anymore
To amuse yourself
writers' block, shutting up, windows closing,
doors locked, mind shrinking,
like the fish vendor who sells rumors & rotten stories
To the streets
You go to the fish market today
Not buying any fish or selling any or even touching gills
so you can breathe
You’re looking for some
Salt
Taking notes of the fish scales discarded
Trashed
Some fish bones & broken fins
some fishermen catching
Broken hearts on their small eyed nets
You go back with fish fins
And fish tails, thicked lippes and round moving eyes
You will start with a mermaid story today.

Thats What He Said
Question for all you
Who should know
Much better
But dont.
With your brains and your instincts around you
Why do you
Still blow it?
Big fish eat the little fish
No fish left to eat
Big man beats the little man
til the little man starts to beat
And the little man starts to beat
I have been hurt
I will hurt others
Thats what he said
I have been hurt
I will hurt others
Thats what he said
Question for all you
Who dont know
Much better
But should
Maybe the times come
To use what you got
For some good
I have been hurt
I will hurt others
Thats what he said
Thats what he said
I have been hurt
Love is for others
Thats what he said
Thats what he said

Some things that can happen with a fish
A fish that drinks like a fish, that is a fish in excess
A fish that fishes in troubled waters, that is a fish taking advantage of another fish in trouble
A fish that fishes or cuts bait, well, to be or not to be, to retreat or to attack, that is the fishy question
A fish that is neither fish nor fowl, is a fish that is neither one nor the other, lacking some convictions
A fish out of water, is a fish feeling left out, no longer in his accustomed environment
Do you have other fish to fry for now?
Is there other matter requiring my attention?
Poor fish,
the lake is finally fished out from his fishy mind.

Head & Heart
Written by john martyn, 1972
Found on homecoming.
Theres just no way to say how much I love you
You never make me cry and thats just fine
Ive only got my fear to burn above me
You know we all get scared from time to time
Love me with your head and heart
Love me from the place it starts
Love me with your head and heart
Love me like a child
Theres just no way to play the things Im feelin
No way to tell you all the things you mean
Every day I only feel like stealin
Away to where I know I can be free
Love me with your head and heart
Love me from the place it starts
Love me with your head and heart
Love me when Im wild
Laying down the ways to say I need you
Scared of lookin tall and feeling small
Running through the days I have beside you
Scared of being wrong, and thats it all
Love me with your head and heart
Love me from the place it starts
Love me with your head and heart
Love me like a child
Love me with your head and heart
Love me from the place it starts
Love me with your head and heart
Love me like a child

Is it really like fishing?
They say there is many fish in the sea to choose from.
But have you ever gone fishing?
They say do not worry they are like fish you lose one then get a fresh one.
But have you actually gone fishing?
They say you can be picky when fishing your fish.
But have you been in the sea and fished?
They even say some actually smell like fish.
But have you really smelled a fish?
They say there is plenty of fish in the sea.
But have you actually gone and counted the fish in the sea?
They say once you catch that perfect fish, you are bound for a good life.
But have you caught that perfect fish they all speak of?
They say some fish can be beautiful.
But have you seen any beautiful fish?
How can one compare a fish?
They are not alike.
How can one say it is as easy as finding a fish?
It is not a simple task.
How can they say there are so many fish in the sea?
When there are so many fishers who have yet to catch.
Can you really compare life and love to a fish?
The answer is of course not.
You can’t.
Impossible.
Unreal.
Not imaginable.
Unbelievable.
Unrealistic.
A fairy tale.

Fish oh! fish
swish a miss
wish on hiss
shush to hush
Push push
oh! fish
flush a blush
fresh 'n' mush
Fish oh! fish
slush the gush
slash in gash
splash the plush
Fish oh! fish
pose to posh
rush a mash
fish oh! gosh!

Pray For The Fish
EVERYBODY GATHERED WHERE THE RIVER RUNS WIDER
AT THE EDGE OF TOWN
TO SEE IF THAT EDDIE LEE VAUGHN BAPTISM
WAS REALLY GONNA GO DOWN
FOLKS BET THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY
THAT WATER WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING
THEY SET THE ODDS AT A HUNDRED TO ONE
HIS SOUL WOULDN'T NEVER COME CLEAN
THEN THE PREACHER SAID
PEOPLE TAKE A MOMENT OR TWO
THERE SOMETHING WE NEED TO DO
PRAY FOR THE FISH
THEY WON'T KNOW WHAT'S COMING
WHEN THE SIN STARTS ROLLING OFF THE LIKES OF HIM
LORD BE WITH EM, THEY AIN'T DONE NOTHIN'
PLEASE WONT YOU LEAVE THEM JUST A LITTLE BIT ?A ROOM TO SWIM
PRAY FOR THE FISH
WELL THE PREACHER DUCKED EM UNDER
THAT COOL CLEAR WATER
THEN HE DID IT AGAIN
EDDIE CAME UP YELLING
LORD IN HEAVEN HALLEAUH!
I'M A BRAND NEW MAN
WELL THE WATER GOT TO BUBBLING
SKY GOT TO RUMBLING
AND THE THUNDER BACKED UP THE CHOIR
THE FISH STARTED JUMPIN'
IT WAS LIKE THEY WAS SWIMMIN'
IN A LAKE OF FIRE
THEN EDDIE'S MOMMA STEPPED OUT OF THE CROWD
AND STARTED YELLING OUT LOUD
PRAY FOR THE FISH
THEY WON'T KNOW WHAT'S COMING
WHEN THE SIN STARTS ROLLING
OFF THE LIKES OF HIM
LORD BE WITH' EM
THEY AIN'T DONE NOTHING
PLEASE WONT YOU LEAVE ?EM
JUST A LITTLE BIT ?A ROOM TO SWIM
PRAY FOR THE FISH
HE SAID EVERYBODY CROSS YOUR FINGERS
FOLD YOUR HANDS
PRAY FOR OLE' EDDIE
BUT BEFORE WE SAY AMEN
PRAY FOR THE FISH
LORD BE WITH ?EM
THEY AINT DONE NOTHIN'
PLEASE WONT YOU LEAVE ?EM
JUST A LITTLE BIT ?A ROOM TO SWIM
PRAY FOR THE FISH
LORD PRAY FOR THE FISH

That Poor Defencless Fish
that poor defenceless fish,
caught a haft hour ago.
they chopped off his head,
and cut through his guts.
just think for a minute,
just a uick minute.
how does that poor fish feel? how would you like it?
that poor defenceless fish,
his last thoughts,
lord, have mercy on my soul,
or just get it over with.
i feel bad for that fish,
that poor little fish.
and thats the story,
of the poor defenceless fish

The Light Without A Switch Off
one best thing is this:
we write from the bottom of our hearts,
guessing that perhaps this is what others feel too.
we simply describe our state of mind,
in the most simple way understandable by that common man on the street
a fish vendor if he reads that we are feeling like rotten fish
if you tell him, how rotten fish smells and what a wasted feeling is
it when it is there unsold
look at his face? make him understand that we are all vendors of
our feelings, that our feelings sometimes do not sell,
he will understand that,
everything is classified as a commercial act
writing, speaking, wooing,
what a humiliation of what we really are
hawkers of beliefs, ambulant chasers of emotions
what a demeaning purpose,
this must stop, it is not real, it is a prostitution of our
faith,
we write from the bottom of our hearts
and you feel it, that is why you are following the sounds of drums
at the center of the island
where we grow a bonfire, where smoke rises to the sky
where evenings become so lighted, where dance assumes true meaning
our shadows are pure, our bodies own them
and the moon at night makes them all alive
you are telling me that this fire is invisible
and it has not switch for you to put it off.

A Numbness From My Arm To My Heart
this is the trip of boredom.
it starts from the tip of my toe
as a ripple of a clear pond
from a fish that just
died of suffocation
too much water less air
the fish dies too
then it crawls like a worm
higher to my arm
near my neck
and then it moves down
to my chest finding
a heart
long dead.

031010 Food Power
i reach the bottom of fish tank
to touch the bottom dweller
stuck to a rock like suction cup
she let me caress her as if she
know me, she's grown a bit
since i bought her at pet shop
this black big head fish i love
she doesn't move that much
i watch her gills close and open
she is always watching me
sometimes i saw her swim
just to get away from other fish
i used to tap the fish tank cover
before feeding them, amazing
every time i tap, they surface
how's that for teaching a fish
food is really powerful thing
just me i can't stop eating

The New Life
Ive burned my bridges
And Im free at last
All my chains are
In the past
The new life starts here
(I was trying to get happy
I thought it was hard
Until I found that
In my own back yard
The new life starts here)
The day is wide open
The sky is blue
The world is a miracle
And so are you
The new life starts here
My papers arrived
Stamped and complete
All previous dispatches
Are obsolete
The new life starts here
I can see my way so clear
Rejoice for...
The new life starts here
Theres a war in the gulf
But it aint in my head
I just declared a state of
Peace instead
The new life starts here
(tempters and tricksters
Banging at my door
Im not fighting with them
Anymore
The new life starts here
/
Users, abusers,
Banging at my door
Im not fighting with them
Anymore
The new life starts here
Tempsters and tricksters
Wondering how
To seize my attention
They cannot touch me now
The new life starts here)
Generals, presidents
How do you do?
I can make it with or
Without you
The new life starts here
I can see my way so clear
Rejoice for...
The new life starts here
Are you under the mercy?
Are you under attack?
Are you going forward?
Are you going back?
The new life starts here
(are you coming to grips?
Are you coming apart?
Are you listening to fear?
Or to your heart?
The new life starts here
/
Are you building heaven
Or are you building hell?
When that great day comes
Will you be able to tell?
The new life starts here)
Citizen, criminal, child
Woman or man
The keys to the kingdom
Are in your own hands
The new life starts here
(God of our love
Who ignited the sun
Not my will
But thine be done
The new life starts here)
Mock the devil
Make him sweat!
He hasnt won
The battle yet
The new life starts here
(a whole new age in seven more years
A brave new age in ten more years)
Rejoice for...
The new life starts here

A Circular Motion
the murky sea
tells the truth about the
chaos of rain
on the high mountains
those who are unlucky
remain buried
some are carried
to be swallowed by
the fish and the
shrimps and the
squids
feasting on the body
of the rotten
kid
on our tables
for lunch
we are lucky to have
same fish, shrimps
and squids
the sea clears itself
of the mess from those rivers
and we are the first
guests here
dipping...
