God Knows
Baby tell me why
why do you question all this love that i have for you
if u look into my eyes and make an exception
i will show you love like no one before
put your trust in me
allow me to be that
baby give me your hand to hold
cause the feeling that i have
are so complicated that words cannot explain there is only one who knows only god knows how much i love you god sees my heart and that he cares about you, god knows that im thinking of you and im longing for you oh how wish that you knew what god knows
Baby tel me why
what is the reason one good reason your soo insecure cause after all that i have done i think you should know by now girl im down for you and the love i have is pure i wanna help you understand just how i feel for you your the one i cant let go because the feeling that i have are so complicated that words cannot explain there is only one who knows only god knows how much i love you god sees my heart and that he cares about you, god knows that im thinking of you and im longing for you how wish that you knew what god knows how much i love you god sees my heart and that he cares about you, god knows that im thinking of you and im longing for you oh how wish that you knew what god knows
and all of my lonely days only god knows i'm lonely and all my sleepless night (only god sees me crying) and everytime i think of you only god can read my mind (he reads my mind)god knows i tried if you understand heaven knows i miss you girl only god can see how much
cause everytime you go away (i long for your touch)now when i say i love you girl only sees my heart (he sees my heart) he sees my heart
only god knows how much i love you god sees my heart (girl you know that he sees my heart) and that he cares about you,(and he cares) god knows (yes he does) that im thinking of you (and im thinking of you) and im longing for you oh how wish that you knew what god knows (yes he does)
how much i love you god sees my heart and that he cares about you, god knows that im thinking of you and im longing for you oh how wish that you knew what god knows

In America, people rarely stay in the town where they grew up, rarely stay in close proximity to their parents throughout their lives. You rarely find parents in their old age being taken care of by their children.

I Keep The Head High
An eye sees everything
But the other does not…
An ear hears everything
But the other does not…
What an honest combination!
A mind sees your virtues
But the same mind sees your vices…
A heart longs for you dear,
But the same heart rejects your love near…
What a dishonest mindset it is you think!
But among the blind around,
Then among many a deaf
And the heartless beasts that surround
You have to know my dear,
I ever keep my head high.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
(gary rossington -- johnny vanzant -- hughie thomasson -- rickey medlocke)
Ive always lived my life like a gypsy
I cant imagine myself settlin down
So please dont ask me to give up this life I lead
cause I love to feel those wheels go round and round
(chorus)
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees, not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
Theres a cold wind blowin and you know its almost midnight
You never dreamed it would be this hard lovin a music man
But this iron horse on which I ride Im closer its true
And its just as hard for me as it is for you
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
In my life Im always on the run
Livin one day at a time
Hold on a little longer
I dont know where Im gonna end up
Or where Ill go
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home ...
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
Home is where the heart is
Oh ,my home is where my heart is
Oh, my home is where my heart is

Poem For The People
If the people only knew
If they could visualize
Just open their eyes
Even stop to think about
If they could open their minds
They could get beyond
The worlds a funny place you know
Most of what goes on
Is rarely funny
Rarely funny
Could the people understand
In only whisper and screams
And colorless dreams
Could they finally comprehend
If they could suddenly see
And suddenly feel
The worlds a funny place you know
Most of what goes on
Is rarely funny
Rarely funny

The artist should not only paint what he sees before him, but also what he sees in himself. If, however, he sees nothing within him, then he should also refrain from painting what he sees before him. Otherwise his pictures will be like those folding screens behind which one expects to find only the sick or the dead.

Bears No ill Will
The eye bears no ill will
And the ear no evil intentions
These the heart alone bears.
The eye sees what it sees
And the ear what it hears
And without prejudice
The mind analyzes
And the heart judges
Afterwards, the eye, the ear
They learn to discriminate

Red Red Sun
Theres a red red sun
And Im thinking of you
I tell it a story
And it sinks out of view
One sun apart
One heart within
Red sun shines on
Sees no tomorrow
Sees no tomorrow
Theres a girl far away
And shes calling my name
With a tower of love
And a shadow of pain
Theres a red red sun
And its coming for you
To waken your heart
Like you know I always will do

We Rarely See
In our busy world, we rarely see
what is right before our eyes.
The sky that leaks its teardrops
to cleanse and refresh the day.
The two hearts that beat as one
before one of them has to go away.
The patterns of a snowflake
on a wintry day.
The turning of each season
that passes on its way.
We rarely see the things we should
that help to shape our lives
as we are trapped on the treadmill
of earning money to pay our way.
One day we may notice them
when we step off the treadmill
letting the rest of the world
go on its merry way.
Then we will see what we rarely see
the life and love we are living.

Salt is Sweet
Its dessert of salt
Rains mostly in night
And rarely in light
Has day and night
Color is black and white
Black resembles night
White resembles light
But its heart is black
So pours mostly in night
Whenever heart is tight
It pours all the night
Until heart sees light
Its rain is always salty
So it is very colorful
And makes life cheerful
It makes heart light
From night to light
With its salty rain
Its salt is very tasty
So drink it with heart
It makes heart strong
And makes life sweep
All past-reaped grief
With its flowing tears
Tears salt is sweet

What We Teach Our Children By: Cay Thorne
If a child sees abuse in any form -
They will become abusers in any form;
If a child sees love;
They become lovers and romantics at heart
If a child sees loyalty and trust;
They know how to be loyal and trustworthy.
If a child sees hatred to all things and humans
They will live without love and kindness.
If a child knows encouragement and praise;
They will show encouragement and praise to all.
If a child sees peace and happiness;
They will show love and happiness to all mankind.
If a child sees violence;
They learn to be violent to anything and everything.
If a child sees bullying at home as a victim;
They become a criminal to satisfy the hunger.
If a child sees charity;
They learn to show charity to others.
If a child sees you help others in need;
They become helpers to all in need.
If a child learns how to be raciest in all forms of the word;
They WILL learn the true meaning of racism and hatred –
Which shows non of the virtues;
That we need to live with to stop;
All the kinds of EVIL in this world today.
If a child sees all the virtues that are out there in the world today;
They will show these virtues to all mankind and no matter who the person is.

Three Shadows
I LOOKED and saw your eyes
In the shadow of your hair,
As a traveller sees the stream
In the shadow of the wood;
And I said, “My faint heart sighs,
Ah me! to linger there,
To drink deep and to dream
In that sweet solitude.”
I looked and saw your heart
In the shadow of your eyes,
As a seeker sees the gold
In the shadow of the stream;
And I said, “Ah me! what art
Should win the immortal prize,
Whose want must make life cold
And Heaven a hollow dream?”
I looked and saw your love
In the shadow of your heart,
As a diver sees the pearl
In the shadow of the sea;
And I murmured, not above
My breath, but all apart,—
“Ah! you can love, true girl,
And is your love for me?”
