Fool Me Not

All those honeyed words I hear
make me cringe as you
whisper them in my ear.
For the words I believe
are not sincere,
these honeyed words that I hear.

They're too sweet to depend upon.
I hear them. I react
and then you're gone.
'Woman', I say to myself
'Take heed.
Those words really
are not what you need.'

Fool me not. Fool me not.
Take your words and leave.
Fool me not. Fool me not.
As the honey drips, I grieve.

Candle, pen, fools-cap and brandy

A candle… a pen
A glass of honeyed brandy
Close at hand

The taper…for which to see
The pen with which to write
And of the honeyed brandy?

Well that's just for me
To write through the nite, you see
And to make me feel just dandy

Words Are Cheap

Words are cheap.
Can cheapen and demean.
Meaningless they flow
Flow as cheap wine
And as sour,
They have bitter taste,
Bitter as gall,
And as galling.
Spat out rat a tat tat
They fall from rancid mouths,
dropp on to barren soil.
Ah words they can slide slowly with care,
Red and fleshy from honeyed lips.
The serpent tongued temptress
Who drips poison in the ear.
Words shouted from the chorus
The strident clamour of the crowed.
The swelling cheer that vibrates the bone.
The chatter of those who fear silence
Who fill the passing hour with endless words.
Ah yes words are cheap
But at what price are they bought?

Easy Prey

A demon lurks beneath his skin.
Although he looks so innocent.
His purpose is malevolent
to foster sin his sole intent.

Though he may wear a saintly air.
His rosy cheeks and twinkling eyes
his inner wickedness belies
His skill is telling artful lies.

He takes us in so easily
because we do not want to see.
It fills him with unholy glee.
To fool us with smooth sophistry.

Do as you wish, do as you will.
There is no God to punish you
and we accept his words as true
but only because we want to.

He is the father of all lies
and weaves his web of words so well
Encouraging us to rebel
against the rules we know so well

His words appear to set us free
from any fear of punishment
Indulge your sin do not repent.
Pursue a life on pleasure bent.

He leads the innocent astray.
His well pretended piety
conceals his veniality
and we respond obediently.

We sin because we want to sin
It is our choice to break the rules
Although we can pretend he fools
us into becoming his tools.

We know there is a price to pay.
A demon lurks beneath his skin
and we as fools invite him in.
We think to blame him for our sin.

There has to come a quarter day
when all he debts we owe fall due
and we are sadly left to rue
the things we did we shouldn’t do.

french Fries -context-2nd World War-1940-fall Of France

An owl hoots, hoots, hoots, hoots
A dog barks, barks, barks, barks
Then some boots, boots, boots, boots
Uproots, uproots, uproots, uproots
The night lurks, lurks, lurks, lurks
Red wines bespatter,
French fries berserk, berserk, berserk, berserk
As the tall neighbours jerk, jerk, jerk, jerk

There rents the air some surrealists
The face of renaissance recaptured nationalists
No ikebana for my darling in Paris
As scenaries take on cemetaries
And greenaries take on apothecaries
Some invitations dugging heccatomb
Our menu-guns, missiles, mortar and a bomb.

Some toddler girls hanging for apricots
Uproar the gargantuan mascots
Come bigots,
Come faggots,
All yield in to the zealots

Ablaze relaxes a man
In some shabby agonized catamaran
His cries laughed away;
His worries withered away;
Is he the last to give in?
For Paris to Berlin.

Like A Tiger

I resisted all the way to the tied down,
Like a mad tiger I lurched and loitered
In the cloistered buildings or the cloistered jungles,
In those habitations too grand for the hearing,
In those places where men and women are aghast.

I, Language, shall keep disgust at bay,
Wonder at the issues concerning me,
And be a language far too reaching into the mind.
My tied down state works for the betterment of words,
For they are servants, always the right slaves,
For the wickedness and the rudeness.
Words, words and more of those phrases are
In the depths of your disgust, in lagoons
Of treachery, of lust, of desire for the share
That is undeserved,
That matters to others.

Poet In The Coffee Shop

new brew
roasting, flowing
aroma rolling
through
atmosphere,

machines
grinding, growling
out fresh
caffeine

and you,
awash in lilting
ballads, consuming
lovers
across the room.

Just keep your eyes down
on your honeyed-
words,

frenzied bees
that buzz,

and to song
burst.

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Caution 01

Give not information to a padshah of the treachery of anyone, unless thou art sure he will accept it; else thou wilt only be preparing thy own destruction.

Prepare to speak only when
Thy words are likely to have effect.
Speech is a perfection in the soul of man
But do not ruin thyself by speaking.

Devil Dance

lucifer falls from grace
the host of heaven watch
his disgrace

satan walks the earth
doing the devil dance
man is mine to take
evil lurks within his heart

woman calls to man come here
man walks over to eve to talk
takes the apple she does hold
bites deep in the forbidden fruit

as satan does the devil dance
man is mine to take
evil lurks within his heart
two for one done done

the devil walks across the molten sea
deep below the deep blue sea
devil dance he begins
man and woman both
ill take for evil lurks
within their breast

as lucifer
as satan
as devil
do the devil dance.

Poor Tiger, Mad Lover

A tiger was sent into an abeyance.
His roars are frail and feeble.
What good is a tiger
Without his tremendous roar?
A nuisance that flourishes and shakes
The forests?

You have left this tiger
Cold and desolate
Under the brambly, prickly bushes
As the calamitous ripples
Of desertion and betrayal
Loom within your thresholds.
I’ve had the courage to
Roar for you -

And now you talk?

You mad lover.
Why only now,
That I am scathed and incapable?
I’ve not a single strength
To lunge at puny hostiles.
And now you talk?
And now you talk?

I don’t even know
What kind of treachery
Lurks within your vicinity -

Is it rue?
Is it disdain?
A mad plot of stifling
This tiger again?

I am losing the flambeau
In the singeing night’s
Far-fetched dream.
Spare me,
I have blundered
For you too long.

So now, you talk?
A chauvinistic trickster.
Now you talk?

Poor tiger, poor tiger.
Mad, crazed lover.

Exposed

Amazing how words can expose
The heart of the half-man behind them
Revealing a destitute poet/beggar
Wallowing in famined decency, anger.
His words undress in Poverty of beauty
Nagging Profanity and lacking finesse!
Reading his posts invites our Pity
Ignorance and vile in obvious excess!
His profile revealed on all points bulletin
Beware of the bully that lurks within
Pretending to beg but attacks again
Such a mendicant fool enjoys evil Sin.

No one did

Something like roar from lion's den
Someone may know exactly then
What can be called love and attachment!
No shifting of reality statements

No one did this before
You are praiseworthy and so called fore
Someone should take note of it and address
Else there is left only grievance and remorse

There was room for love and permanent refuge
There was no scope for hide and seek or to refuse
The position was cleared from the inception
The consequences were known in case of deception

How could one earn dubious distinction?
Can translate words of treachery in nay direction
Can that travel even an inch for true destination?
I think it is enough for breaking the relation

You may have killers charm
You may be master in delivering the harm
Yet there is something like action with reaction
It can end permanently with more or less friction

No one may dare to violate sanctity again
In love there is no loss or gain
It is either with you or lost
The stage is delicate and must be cared most

I for one could not even dream about treachery
I was sure of out come and was certainly to marry
There came bomb shell with no time for action
It was left in doldrums with hostile reaction

I would go down smilingly with one way traffic
Trust and confidence is essential and basic
No one can go even to little distance
If there is distrust even at once

A Reverie

(An Acrostic Tribute In Respect Of Saman Roy)

Sweet honeyed words slip
Adding to the enthralling charm of her
Mellowness, rarely bestowed to womankind
Animating the latent passive hearts:
Nourished, drunk the vintage cold.
Reverie of the ajar awakening eyes,
Officious, open-hearted and honest
Youthful, yet sagacious and coy.

Words

Words on this paper
Words in my head
Words while I'm texting
Computing
Unsaid
Words between people
Words on the phone
Words upon words
Even when I'm alone
Words from the Bible
I question
Don't mesh
Words from pornography
Making them flesh
Words with flat letters
Written in black
Good words and bad words
You cannot take back
Words that are shallow
Words that are deep
When they're too many
They put me to sleep
Words that I'm writing
And rhyming you read
Whatever I'm saying
There's prolly no need
Words from the alphabet
Words that can't be
When you are blind
And it's Braile that you see
Words that are worthless
And said on the fly
My words or your words
Are most likely lies
Words in a sentence
Wise words or fair
The only words earnest
Are those said in prayer

The face not receding in my heart.

Come up in my mind, like a, mountain spring!
And honeyed words with, ease you sling.

Thousands of odes I scrawled in my heart;
amidst, shocking thunders, fiercely wrought!
But, God never ditched me to, hurt and fall.
Oodles of sadness couldn't me maul……………(Come up…………spring)

You didn't know my wail of despair
and, canards shot by the smirching, snipers!
I never jostled even your breath
and lay in wait they to spill my blood.
(Come up......….spring.)
