The Long Drought Is Over

The long drought is over some weather experts believe
But weather patterns the experts have been known to deceive
In parts of the Country huge flooding the weather seems strange
But then we are in the age of climate change
The ferocity of Nature cannot be denied
In flooding tragedies up country seven people have died
Their cars by the flood were swept off of the roadway
Their deaths by drowning the big news story of the day
For to combat extreme weather patterns we need more than God on our side
Nowadays Natural disasters are occuring Worldwide
In drought ravaged Lands millions of refugees
And thousands are dying of hunger and disease
The long drought is over some weather experts do say
But the moods of Nature changing every day.

With a Dog

I do not know by what name I call you, my friend. You move your tail, running around me wanted to meet, wanted to be my friend, so I know you. Yes, I came from a very distant country, and where you come from my friend? You suddenly came over. Hesitated and want to go. Then when you finally do come again, I call someone to take our pictures. I'm nobody's friends, only a heart that runs and forth, there may be windows that would open slightly, in which one wants to peek, but the window was closed again because if it is too close to the heart, you're not going to mean.Though the word 'from the gutter maybe you will find pearls', while in the pool behind the luxury hotels do not necessarily get you a fancy heart. And I was just a dream scavengers, who feared to sleep, to wake up, and the day has lost quiet to dream, but where there life without a dream, which is driven by death and grief? When the cloud was thick, all of a sudden you run back into the woods, my friend. Maybe the rain has called you to go along with the dreams, and never to return. Thank you, my friend.

Clouds of Silver Rain

The heavy clouds build up once more
Accumulating vast array
These clouds turn up the temperature
Building pressure hour by hour
In distant corners of the brain

They make me thirst for the kind of rain
That bursts as if shattering a dam
At first in almost hesitant flow
Then leaping with abandonment
Into a freedom void unknown

Thick limpid drops in Africa
Thudding down on a metal roof
Drowning out all sounds and sights
All music of the village life
Urgent European rain
Hammering on concrete squares
Leaving silver rivulets
To lap at seeds and tangled roots

These darkening low-hanging clouds
That tighten nerves and muscles both
Trap me in a time of drought -
Body tense, brow under sweat
The prospect of release at last
Enticing more than trails of stars

In the parched savannah plains
To catch the early drops that fall
I long to leap as high as clouds
And rush into the arms of rain -
To bathe the rain in my delight
Inviting it to fall again.

You are the clouds of silver rain,
The rain is where I love you most
And where your love washes my pain
And makes me whole, complete again.

Rain, Rain Oh! ! ! My heavenly friend.

Rain, Rain Oh! My heavenly friend,
Whenever you come down,
Top of my town,
Bring a shiny little crown,
And cloudy long gown.

Rain, Rain Oh! My heavenly friend,
Make the desert green,
Don't be so mean,
Bring happiness to teens.

Rain, Rain Oh! My heavenly friend,
Listen to my say,
Not in the month of May,
In a beautiful way,
With some sun rays,
Don't be late today.

When Will It Rain

No one ever sees you cry
You just keep it all inside
In a warm place, where you can hide
When will it rain
When will it rain
I saw you laugh the other day
But all too fast it went away
Now your skys cloudy n gray
Falling mainly on the plain
When will it rain
When will it rain
No water fallls
Down your window pane
And when I look into your eyes
That window to your soul cant lie
Theres water where the well went dry
So how long can there be a drought
When your dams filled with doubt
No place to build your house
Let your cup runneth over and out
I said for crying out loud
When will it rain
When will it rain
No water fallls
Down your window pane
When will it rain
When will it rain
A tear for fear is calling out your name
Rain on me

Rain O Rain

RAIN O RAIN COME AGAIN

RAIN O RAIN COME AGAIN
AND SHOWER YOUR DROPS,
TO SEE THOSE PAPER BOATS AGAIN,
RAIN O RAIN COMEAGAIN.

SEE THE LAND IS DRYING,
THE SMALL CHILDREN ARE CRYING,
THE FEETS BECOME BOILED,
AND THE WHOLE DAY GETS SPOILED,
RAIN O RAIN COME AGAIN.

IF YOU COME THERE WILL BE NO DROUGHT,
AND NO AC, COOLERS WILL BE BROUGHT,
SPRINKLE Y0UR DROPS AND SHOW
THAT TO YOU WHOLE WORLD BOWS,
RAIN O RAIN COME AGAIN

The Drought Is Over

The drought has broken and we’re getting some rain
it’s so good to know that we’re in favour once again.
The land was parched and everything on it dying of thirst
‘cause it took such a long time coming for the rain to burst.

The Lord of nature must have heard our prayers
And granted us some reprieve from death’s cares.
Though it seems as if there’s still a long way yet to go
the immediate and pressing danger is over we know.

Many areas around and people suffered due to the lack of rain
it was getting to be such a huge emotional and financial strain.
We can only sincerely hope now that it will put things right,
so that we can all get on with our lives and reverse the blight.

One can only but wonder at the cause of the drought now
whether in fact we contributed to the hardship somehow.
We know that certain actions produce undesirable effects
when ignorance is so widespread no difficulty man detects.

In fact whatever is carelessly thought, said and done takes its toll
and causes an adverse reaction in nature which then plays a role.
This is the unfortunate legacy that most people find very hard to respect
because it limits their false sense of freedom they’ve all come to expect.

Rain Rain Rain

Rain Rain Rain,
Up above from the skies
Youu come,
As drops of joy
As drops of sorrow
As a shower of blessing from the heavens.

Rain Rain Rain,
Pitter patter pitter patter
on the window panes,
thunder and lightning fill up the skies
creating an orchestral symphony.

Rain Rain Rain,
With wind, sun and clouds,
seven colors you bring together
and joy in our hearts.

Rain Rain Rain
A miracle to a drought
A curse when in glut,
tiny silver crystals trickles from up above.

All I Needed Was The Rain

(words & music by ben weisman - sid wayne )
Hello misfortune, hows my old friend mr. misery?
Ive been away so long I bet you think you saw the last of me
Got no bed, to rest my head
No doors or walls or window pane
Now all I needed was the rain
Rain, rain, rain, rain
Met a little honey at the buzzin bumble bee cafe
Yes I did
One drink and all my money and that honey bee had flown away
Im bout as low, as I can go
I dont really mean to complain
Now all I needed was the rain
Rain, rain...rain..rain
All I needed was this rain...
All I needed was the rain...um..um.....

The rain,

The rain,
The rain came when there was drought,
The mist came,
The green's increased,
The frog jumped into water's,

The rain fell,
I saw a new harvest,
The cow moos with enough milk,
Then I realised the benefit of living with rain's.

Listen To The Rain

As the leaves swayed by the wind hands
My feeling strongly catch secret sense
There was something in the wind
Calling for the rain...to fall
Wonderful sky with colors change
Sometimes cloudy with pain
Drain all in tearful rain
But now listen...
Listen to the rain
do you listen to the rain?
it tells a story...

'When u meet a friend
Appreciate them, love them
Like me love to earth...
We are far apart but
We remember each other
Either in joy or hard
We remain together'

The last drop
The rain stopped,
There was a rainbow drawn
Proudly high in the blue sky
Expressing a nice feeling
Defined by the rain and earth
Of the true friendship

Everytime the wind kiss on my face
It reminds me to the rain
Evertime the wind touching my hair
Feeling lucky budding in my vein
This is just a nice feeling
Possibly the same way
like earth and rain felt
and this is...
this is because of u my friend
We did creating our own rainbow
Forever drawn in our hearts
cant be seen but can be felt
Safe in our red heart

'when u meet a friend
appreciate them, love them
like me love to earth...
we are far apart but
we remember each other'
...a true word from rain
This memory will remain

Anthem

A country I see inside has partnership with me,
With gladness they invoke an anthem of joy.

A country might describe ours, ours,
The merriment is immense, I destroy like a country.

A country is murdered always by the neighbour,
But will it take over the opposite kind?

A country best is, a masterful work,
A distant dive and gorgeous jelly.

When a country is a nation
This anthem must not begin.

Sat down it was quiet, just as quiet as a mouse
She said, now mister lost john, be my friend,
Be my friend up until the end.

Welcome Sound.

I don't complain about the rain.
That hammers on my window pane
I'm glad to hear it once again.

It marks the end of prolonged drought.
We need the rain there is no doubt
For far too long we've gone without

Without the rain the soil's too dry.
It matters not how hard we try.
Our crops just shrivel up and die.

The blessed rain has fallen finally
Arriving unexpectedly
The earth absorbs it greedily.

Tomorrow we will start to sow.
New crops we are quite sure will grow
Then in due course green shoots will show.

It seems the experts can't explain
The reason for the lack of rain
But now we hope we can regain

The rich dark soils fertility
Although there is no guarantee.
We have to think positively
A farmer needs both rain and sun
But not too much of either oneNeither can be relieduponMonday,16 April 2012

November Rain

November rain washed away my guilt
November rain washed away my pain
November rain - so tired I felt
November rain was not just any rain

Long I longed with deep torment
For so long my body waited
November rain, , , , Oh, sweet friend
November rain- slowly I faded.

November rain- I cried within
Steady and slowly, it kept on pouring
November rain, watered my skin
And deep inside, I heard my roaring.

November rain, it refused to quit
November rain kept on pouring
And alone outside, in the streets I wept-
dripping... dripping and falling.

A Rain To Remember!

Rain lashed out with lightning and thunder!
For every lightning phone also rang without fail!
It continued till I switched off light and went to bed!

Next day morning some death news due to lightning came!
Storm has dissipated but rain lashed now and then;
It's raining time nothing can stop it from falling!

Today there is complete silence prevailing!
Night is cold and wind has stopped after evening
Yet rain warning is given and is expected for 24 hours!

The summer drought without rain is causing so heavy rain now!
Farming fields without rain crops are waiting for rain
A week's rain at least will make it okay now!

When there is no rain we cry for it and when it is there we don't want
Whether we say this or that rain will do the best it can when it comes!

Sweet Reunion

In the moment I first saw you,
I could swear that we had met,
The look in your eye,
Was so familiar,
Where and when, I forget.
Whispered your name in introduction,
Darling, my heart filled the room,
And I knew it was you, come back in my life.
So we meet again, my long lost friend
Once again, we get to start anew,
And it feels like a thousand years,
Ive been loving you.
Girl have you been waiting here, for someone near,
Searchin the world for a friend,
Come on in, Ive been expecting you
Sweet reunion, welcome home again.
How many lifetimes have I loved you,
How many times have you loved me,
The sound of your voice is in my memory,
Like the wind, on the sea.
The glow of your heart has been my lighthouse,
Ive followed it in from distant shores,
Now I wont be afraid to love anymore.
So we meet again, my long lost friend
Once again, we get to start anew,
And it feels like a thousand years,
Ive been loving you.
Girl have you been waiting here, for someone near,
Searchin the world for a friend,
Come on in, Ive been expecting you
Sweet reunion, welcome home again.
Whatever happens, nothings ever going to be the same,
Now youll find me here at last,
Your loves released me from the past,
My heart and soul have always remembered your name.
Girl have you been waiting here, for someone near,
Searchin the world for a friend,
Come on in, Ive been expecting you
Sweet reunion, welcome home again.
Ive always been loving you
Girl have you been waiting here, for someone near,
Searchin the world for a friend,
Come on in, Ive been expecting you
Sweet reunion, welcome home again.

Return My Soldier

When you return my soldier
The garden will flower delightfully
Rain will dance at top of our roof
Two hearts will meet then

Your eyes are emeralds
Your eyes I've lost my heart to
Your stranger eyes
Have promised so much

Over my head
Under my feet
In my heart
The sky will drizzle
Rain will dance
When two hearts meet

When you back my soldier
The garden will flower delightfully
Rain will dance at top of our roof

I look for the moon at nights
My life's now in your hands
Stars drizzle on my eyes
On a moonlit night
The world of my dreams will delight
Rain will drizzle dancing at top of our roof
Two hearts will meet then

Return to me
My soldier

My Friend(a sad poem)

My friend,
My best friend,
in the back yard
sleeping...forever.

We meet in realms
of bliss & night,
To run
& scream
& sing
one more.

My friend,
My only friend,
in my mind
& gleaming.

We meet again
forever more,
My friend of old
in being.
