Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind's eye, and you will be drawn toward it.

The great successful men of the world have used their imaginations, they think ahead and create their mental picture, and then go to work materializing that picture in all its details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that bit, but steadily building, steadily building.

Picture Book
Picture yourself when youre getting old,
Sat by the fireside a-pondering on[? ].
Picture book, pictures of your mama, taken by your papa a long time ago.
Picture book, of people with each other, to prove they love each other a long ago.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Picture book.
Picture book.
A picture of you in your birthday suit,
You sat in the sun on a hot afternoon.
Picture book, your mama and your papa, and fat old uncle charlie out cruising with their friends.
Picture book, a holiday in august, outside a bed and breakfast in sunny southend.
Picture book, when you were just a baby, those days when you were happy, a long time ago.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book,
Na, na, na, na na,
Na, na, na, na na,
A-scooby-dooby-doo.
Picture book,
Na, na, na, na na,
Na, na, na, na na,
A-scooby-dooby-doo.
Picture book, pictures of your mama, taken by your papa a long time ago.
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Movie Magg
(Perkins)
Now, let me take you to the movies, Magg, so I can hold your hand.
Oh, it ain't that I don't like your house, it's just that doggone man
and that double barrel behind the door that waits for me, I know.
Oh, climb upon old Becky's back and let's ride to the picture show.
I only see her once a week and it's when my work is through.
I break new ground the whole week long but my mind's set straight on you.
And I polished up my old horse Beck, and she looks good, I know.
So climb upon old Becky's back and let's ride to the picture show.
Now won't you let me take you to the show so I can hold your hand.
Oh, it ain't that I don't like your house, it's just that doggone man
and that double barrel behind the door that waits for me, I know.
So climb upon old Becky's back and let's ride to the picture show.
Well, I break new ground all week long with my mind's set straight on you.
And every time I try to smile, my heart it breaks in two.
I slick myself for Saturday night cause there's one thing I know,
I'm gonna take my Maggie dear to the western picture show.
Now won't you let me take you to the show so I can hold your hand.
And it ain't that I don't like your house, it's just that doggone man
and that double barrel behind the door that waits for me, I know.
Oh, climb upon old Becky's back and let's ride to the picture show.

And Once You Will Learn..
As I mix a hundred colours to paint your picture,
My canvas shrinks in size
And cries it foul.
There you stand with a smile mysterious.
As I hold a brush with a thousand quills on it,
My right hand shivers
And calls it uncommon.
Someone stands by you a with a frown.
You think I wouldn’t draw your picture at all.
You feel it’s my indifference
And colossal lack of concern.
Your mind turns into an ocean of skepticism.
Still on my large frame of mind
Your portrait hangs for ever
And there I see your smiling face.
My love has ever been thus…
Once when you begin to learn things,
My canvas and right hand will wither away.
Then your portrait drawn in a thousand colours
Will be your last concern perhaps.

On My Golden Years
And why wouldn't I be the hermit of the neighborhood?
I would have, by then, seen infinitely more than I should
Of a cruelty that might just have it out for me.
And why don't I agree with the young?
Could they put a price on my retired life?
My seclusion is not without reason,
I've been drawn thin; my body revolts
But I'm not alone
I have a picture,
Hanging in my mind,
Of what retirement is.
I have no reason to hold back;
I only wish I could,
Because I don't think you're ready
For a loneliness I will not know.

My Flame
Uh how long
How long have you been away?
Oh how long, cant find no words to say
Ive kept your picture on my shelf (thinkin bout you babe)
Only there to remind myself (thinkin bout you babe)
I have always care for you, do you still love me?
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me,say that you love me)
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me)
Say you still love me (my flame)
Uh my love
Will I ever make you see
Oh that somehow, you are still apart of me
Maybe we can compromise
cause our love just cant be disguised
I have always care for you, do you still love me?
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me,say that you love me)
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me)
Say you still love me (my flame, oh)
Ive kept your picture on my shelf
Only there to remind myself (thinkin bout you babe)
I have always care for you, do you still love me?
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change (somethings will never change)
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me,say that you love me)
Oh my flame (my flame)
Somethings will never change
Still hold your vision in my mind
Say you still love me (say that you love me, say that you love me)
Say you still love me (my flame)
Say you still love me (say that you love me)
Say you still love me (my flame)
Say you still love me (say that you love me)

Workin At The Car Wash Blues
Well, I had just got out from the county prison
Doin ninety days for non-support
Tried to find me an executive position
But no matter how smooth I talked
They wouldnt listen to the fact that I was a genius
The man say, we got all that we can use.
Now igot them steadily depressin, low down mind messin
Working at the car wash blues
Well, I should be sittin in an air conditioned office in a swivel chair
Talkin some trash to the secretaries
Sayin, here, now mama, come on over here.
Instead, Im stuck here rubbin these fenders with a rag
And walkin home in soggy old shoes
With them steadily depressin, low down mind messin
Workin at the car wash blues
You know a man of my ability
He should be smokin on a big cigar
But till I get myself straight I guess Ill just have to wait
In my rubber suit a-rubbin these cars
Well, all I can do is a shake my head
You might not believe that its true
For workin at this end of niagara falls
Is an undiscovered howard hughes
So baby, dont expect to see me
With no double martini in any high-brow society news
Cause I got them steadily depressin, low down mind messin
Workin at the car wash blues
So baby, dont expect to see me
With no double martini in any high-brow society news
Cause I got them steadily depressin, low down mind messin
Workin at the car wash blues
Yeah I got them steadily depressin, low down mind messin
Workin at the car wash blues

Hold Me
I've tried so many times 2 erase your memory from my mind
Yet, it doesn't ever last 4 long
I see your picture then I hear your voice
Our love must be stronger than before
Every time I see your eyes (Touch me)
Touch me (Hold me)
Every time I hear your voice (Touch me)
Hold me
Here I stand defenseless as I look into your eyes
There's nothing left 2 say or do
U fill my head with promises and all your pretty lies
Would it be so wrong 2 want U by my side?
Every time I see your eyes (Touch me)
Touch me (Hold me)
Every time I hear your voice (Touch me)
Touch me (Hold me)
I'm captured by my senses, lost in your reverie
Our love must be stronger than before
Every time I see your eyes (Touch me)
Oh, hold me, babe (Hold me)
Every time I hear your voice (Touch me)
Touch me (Hold me)
Every time I see your eyes (Touch me)
I wanna hold U, baby (Hold me)
(Hold me, touch me, kiss me all over)
Every time I hear your voice (Touch me)
Hold me, kiss me all over (Hold me)
Every time I see your eyes (Touch me)
Kiss me, baby (Hold me

A Nude Picture
Your love is like a nude picture in my mind and,
It is sweeter than a candy pie;
You are real and i am here to stay.
Like a nude picture,
Your taste is sweeter than the candy;
For it makes me feel so high!
Your love is like a nude picture in my mind and,
I am dying for your love my sweet one;
Oh girl, throw me an apple of your sweet love to run for it.
True love knows no boundary and,
Sweet love knows no barrier;
You are my precious one and, what is your hot-line? !
The only picture i have in my mind is your nude body.
I will wait for you always!
Even in the rain;
I will sing for you always!
Even on your bed;
My nude lover,
My nude picture,
What a beauty that you are! !
Like Romeo and Juliet.
Do rebounce on me always,
For your love is like a nude picture in my mind;
With the reflections of you in the mirror.
You are sweeter than the candy pie,
With much hope and dreams to the world of roses;
I will wait for you always my sweet one.

Bigger Picture
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
My soul the sky, my heart a sun
My mind a world - my only one
My thoughts the people, the world around
My dreams the kings - or the clowns
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
The continents and the seven oceans
Bound the range of my emotions
My time is long but not forever
My moods are the changing wind and weather
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
Im starting to see a bigger picture
Im beginning to colour it in
Colour it in !
Colour it in !

The Big Picture
Going round the world
Dont know where were going
We dont even care
But you just cant be from someplace else
Unless you go somewhere
And were in the same boat
So as long as it floats
We might as well stop n stare
At the big picture
The big picture
Get the b-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-g picture
Were almost there
Were gonna keep on going
til that new age dawns
Always keeping an eye on the stars in the sky
In case one starts to fall
And were in the same boat
As the ones who cant float
So they might freak out and sink us all
And miss the big picture
(going round the world)
The big picture
(got to get it now)
Like a fish in the water
You dont know where youve been
til you jump out and take a look around
At the b-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-g picture

Have You Seen My Baby?
Have you seen my baby
On the avenue?
You know shes driving me crazy
With the funny things she do
I seen her with the milkman
Ridin down the street
When youre through with my baby, milkman
Send her home to me
Hold on, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on
You know its been so long
Since she have been gone
Hold on, hold on, hold on
I seen her with the gipsies
Dancin in the wood
Shes always been unfaithful to me
She aint never been no good
I say, please dont talk to strangers, baby
But she always do
She say, Ill talk to strangers if I want to
cause Im a stranger, too
Hold on, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on
You know its been so long
Since she have been gone
Hold on, hold on, hold on

A Painter In You!
who has painted your picture in my thoughts,
without a brush, the paints and the pallet,
not even sketched using a pencil and a knife,
the picture is perfect with the colors mixed,
your smiling is great with a thin line at the edges,
your eyes are wide open, sprinkling the cheerful messages,
every time the happy visuals of you pop out in the mind,
I couldn't have drawn such a beautiful portrait,
of you in my heart, who has done this painting?
You are the one who posed and painted on your own,
you are a great painter who can paint your pictures,
on everyone's heart whom you know, love and respect.

Seeing it through
Seeing it through
~
I have no intention of leaving
I'll see this thing through
no matter what I have to give
I see the final picture
and hold it in my thoughts
I know patience virtue
and will face sleepless nights
where the worries of the day
play on in my mind
I can take those hits
and stay firm in my stance
I’m seeing this thing through
whatever it takes
whatever you ask of me
I know what I'm fighting for
what I'm working towards
and that idea, that picture
keeps me going

Picture.
Ihave your picture in my wallet.
But I have your kiss in the jasmine
Of the summer dusk.
I have your picture in my wallet.
But I have your eyes in the starlight.
Dancing across a frosted field.
I have your picture in my wallet.
But I have your touch on the breeze
That bends the flowers in green meadow.
I have your picture in my mind.

The Hazy picture!
Flash! And I got the picture.
Flash! It flops, no picture of my soul.
I closed my eyes and turn on my mind
Flash! Got a picture perfect.
My hands start to copy it down in poetry,
Flop! It is in the harsh reality and lost its beauty.
The picture I got, is too much hazy!
