Those who inherit fortunes are frequently more of a problem than those who made them.

Problems
Too many problems, oh why am I here?
I need to be me, cause youre all to clear
And I can see theres something wrong with you
Oh, what do you expect me to do?
At least I gotta know what I wanna be
Dont come to me if you need pity
Are you lonely, you got no-one
You got your body in suspension
Thats a problem, problem, problem
The problem is you
Eat your heart out on a plastic tray
You dont do what you want and you fade away
You work for me, youre working nine-to-five
Its too much fun of being alive
Im using my feet for my human machine
You work for me, living for the screen
Are you lonely, all needs catered
You got your brains dehydrated
Problem, problem, problem, the problem is you
Oh what what you gonna do, problem, problem
Problem, problem, problem, the problem is you
Well, what you gonna do with your problem
The problem is you, problem
I aint death trip, but I aint automatic
You work for me, just stay ecstatic
Dont you give me any orders
To people like me, there is no order
Bet you thought you had it all worked out
Bet you thought you knew what I was about
Bet you thought youd solved all your problems
But you are the problem
Problem, problem, problem, the problem is you
Oh, what you gonna do with your problem?
Ill leave it up to you, oh problem
The problem is you, you got a problem
Oh what you gonna do?
They know a doctor, gonna take you away
Thay take you away and they throw away the key
They dont want you and they dont want me
You got a problem the problem is you
Problem, well, what you gonna do?
Problem, have you got a problem?
Problem, well you got a problem

Inherit The Wind
(words & music by eddie rabbitt)
Baby dont fall in love with me
Ill only bring you grief
Baby, dont set your heart on me
Ill only have to leave
cause the north wind flows through my veins
Like my dad theres a dream in my brain
In the morning Ill have to leave again
Thats how it is when you inherit the wind
Inherit the wind
Daddy, he was a traveling man
I hardly knew his face
Momma, she cried for him at night
He never stayed in one place
cause the north wind flows through my veins
Like my dad theres a dream in my brain
In the morning Ill have to leave again
Thats how it is when you inherit the wind
Inherit the wind
Oh I cant give you the love you need
I just wont be here that long
But if you still want me here tonight
Ill love you till the break of dawn
cause the north wind flows through my veins
Like my dad theres a dream in my brain
In the morning Ill have to leave again
Thats how it is when you inherit the wind
Inherit the wind
Inherit the wind, inherit the wind

One problem with gazing too frequently into the past is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us.

Going ahead
What is the problem
And there is no problem.
You want to do
And the work done
You want to go
And you gone.
The problem is
There is no problem
The problem you created
Is not a problem.
It is your duty
To think yourself
What to do
And there is nothing
To do.
Who are you to do
And the problem is
You are going
A head to do.

I was just very interested in the American frontier and the growth of capitalism - those enormous fortunes that were being made, more often than not, on the blood of poor people, black people, Indian people. They were the ones who paid very dearly for those great fortunes.

Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowlege: it is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.

Frequently the wood are pink
6
Frequently the wood are pink—
Frequently are brown.
Frequently the hills undress
Behind my native town.
Oft a head is crested
I was wont to see—
And as oft a cranny
Where it used to be—
And the Earth— they tell me—
On its Axis turned!
Wonderful Rotation!
By but twelve performed!

We more frequently fail to face the right problem than fail to solve the problem we face.
You've Got A Problem
So what's the problem this time?
I thought you'd learn by now that nothing ever works out right
You want to take away the edge
You tell me it's the only thing that helps you forget
You've made your promises
That's not enough this time
There's only so much you can squander from a feeble mind
You've got a problem with your life
You've got a problem with your mind
Don't try to tell me that you think it's going to work out fine
So go ahead and try to hide
The world around you watches on as you destroy you life
Do what your problem says
There's not a lot of time
There's only so much you can squander from a feeble mind
You've got a problem with your life

The Lioness Beside Him
'Tonight when I go to sleep
I assign myself a problem,
without trying to solve the problem, '
he said.
Then during his waking moments,
between consciousness
and slumber,
he revisits the problem.
'It is a great time for creative thinking, '
he said.
'You can think of new connections,
new approaches that you
wouldn't otherwise think of.'
he finally said
and then made the final remarks
of surrendering
to the lioness
beside him
eating all his dreams

Pretending To See The Future
Avoiding this is like avoiding a plague
We cant understand the advances we made
Weve tried to resist but its so hard to say no
Were pretending to see what the future will hold
We appear to be in control of our fate
Just like soldiers believe theyre in control of a war
But its moving so fast we cannot see what weve done
Were losing our eyes just to say that weve won
My minds made up, my heart is broke
My fortunes is made me and I feel so choked
I cant understand how we could ever believe
The things we asked for but never received
We never understood the times we asked
The way we wasted all that passed
This neglect is final its a stage we must
Endure to ever hope to see the first
My minds made up about the things we did
We never saw we believed we couldnt say what we missed
My minds made up, my heart is broke
My fortunes is made me and I feel so choked
I cant understand how we could ever believe
The things we asked for but never received
By making noises which we cannot control
The things we hoped that wed never forgo
We appear to be in control of our fate
Just like soldiers believe theyre in control of a war
But its moving so fast we cannot see what weve done
Were losing our eyes just to say that weve won
My minds made up, my heart is broke
My fortunes is made me and I feel so choked
I cant understand how we could ever believe
The things we asked for but never received

The Big Problem....
There is this BIG PROBLEM
WE decided not to talk about it
We think that that problem must solve itself
Auto-resolution
So day and night the problem stays there
Like a drunkard in the room
Vomiting
To every nook of the house
The house
That smells like fucking
Shit
But that problem is never considered a problem
There is a room for it to stay
And it can stay
It cannot consume us
It has no mouth and so it has no teeth
It has no tongue it cannot say a word
It stays there like a piece of art
And we begin to appreciate it
Like a piece of rock
Unchanged in the middle of the living room
We eat lunch there
They prepare nice dinners
We drink red wine
We munch chocolates
And sweet berries
The problem stays but it cannot nag us
Because we can pretend
That it is a brother
That we cannot junk but only love
And keep as part of the
Company
There is still this problem
And it did not solve itself
We live by this problem and this problem lives with us
Symbiosis
And so now
What is the problem? Is this a problem after all these years?
It is not anymore
We have learned that it is not a problem anymore
We die soon
And it shall perhaps disappear
Shall it weep over our departure?
That is its problem.

The Problem With The Problem
the problem with sorrow
is that it eats tomorrow
the problem with our problem
it does not believe on a dream
the problem with lamentation
is that it thrives on its own

Every time I am yours
Never tell am a lairs
When you are a problem
See only your site

We Dont Have Problem
We dont have problem
If we let each other be
If both of us can understand
What is good for you, may not be for me
If we give each other lots of space
If I tiptoe by your door
Then we dont have a problem anymore
We dont have problem, any fool can see
I could never be like you
Why should you wanna be like me
Whats so hip in doing what the leader always says
When we dont have a problem, anyway
If you make trouble
It will get you in the end
Why trade pain with somebody when
We dont have a problem
Whats so hip in doing what the leader always says
When we dont have a problem, anyway

Loose and Untied
Said I woke up,
This mawnin'
With not a problem on my mind.
Said I woke up
And got early out of bed.
With not a problem I could find.
Didn't want to have a rollin' eye to see.
So I crept across the floor...
Until I made it to the back door,
And eased out freely.
And I got up
Early
To rub that trouble out...
Right on time.
Said I...
Awakened up this 'meerrrnin'
With no problems on my mind.
Said I...
Opened up my eyes,
And slid so gently from her side.
'Cause an argument always meets,
My good mawnin' greetin'.
And a headache wasn't comin'
'Cause that headache...
Wasn't gon' be mine!
Said I...
Woke up,
This mawnin'
With not a problem
On my mind.
Said...
I woke up,
And got my mind out of bed.
With not a problem,
I could find.
Didn't want to have a rollin' eye to see.
So I crept across the floor...
Until I made it to the back door easy!
And I eased into the breeze to feel a freedom,
Loose and untied!
And I got up early,
To rub trouble
Out of my mind!
Said..............
I woke up,
This mawnin'
With not a problem on my mind.
Said,
I woke up...
And got early out of bed.
With not a problem I could find.
And I got up early
To rub
That trouble out,
Right on time.
Said I woke up,
This mawnin'
With not a problem on my mind.
Said I woke up
And got early out of bed.
With not a problem I could find.
And rubbed that trouble out,
Right on time.

Gains Of Iniquity
WHEN I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP,
MY ENEMIES RISE TO CONGREGATE AGAINST ME,
THEY HAVE SLAYED ME IN THE LAND OF SLEEP,
THEY HAVE CUT ME UP TO LOOK LIKE A MAGGOT,
THEY RAVISH MY WIFE IN MY DEAD-SLEEP PRESENCE,
THEY HAVE MADE ME A MOCKERY AMONGST THEIR KIND,
I STAND, AN OBJECT OF RIDICULE BY WHORES,
YEA, THE LAND OF THE DEAD IS ALIVE WITH WOES AND PAINS,
THE DEAD WEEP AND WAIL FOR THE BURDEN IT BEARS,
THE BURDEN BY RELIGION,
THE YOKE BY GOD,
YEA, THEM THAT HATH AN EAR WILL HEAR LIES,
THEM THAT SEE, WILL SEE MIRAGES AND CALL THEM VISIONS,
THE TONGUES OF THY OFFSPRINGS SHALL BRING FORTH UNTRUTHS,
WOE UNTO THEM THAT ADHERE TO THE TONGUE'S OF HARLOTS,
WOE UNTO THEM THAT LISTEN TO PROSTITUTES,
THOU SHALL INHERIT THAT WHICH THOU HAST ACCEPTED TO INHERIT,
YEA, GOD AND HIS SERVANTS SHALL BEQUEATH THEE WITH THEIR INIQUITY,
YEA, YOU SHALL INHERIT VENGEANCE,
ENEMIES SHALL FALL UPON THEE,
YOU SHALL REAP THE FRUITS OF THY WICKED LABOUR,
YEA, A SHAMEFULL END SHALL BE THY PORTION,
OH YE WORKERS OF INIQUITY
