Carl Gustav Jung

An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Mentor... Reconstructing Carl

to brilliance: appreciation

but to those who touched
human feelings: gratitude

the growing plant
and the soul of the
child: they need more to
what a raw lecture is all about,

they search for
warmth
the sun's comforting
light

Teacher Says, Teacher Goes

Teacher says,
teacher goes,
teacher smiles,
teacher knows,

what you have done,
was clearly a mistake,
maybe it is,
time for a break.

Teacher says,
teacher goes,
teacher smiles,
teacher knows,

that you have been naughty.
That you have been quite foughty.
That you are being rude,
don't call teacher a dude.

Teacher says,
teacher goes,
teacher smilies,
teacher know,

that you were making faces,
behind teachers back,
that you were throwing spitballs,
at the teacher's pet.

Teacher says,
teacher goes,
teacher smiles,
teacher knows.

So enough is said,
so now you know,
that whatever you do.....

Teacher says,
Teacher goes,
Teacher smilies,
Teacher knows

Vital Curriculum

Life is the most vital curriculum
I must learn every minute
And I am independent and I am
Able to perform my daily chores myself.
My life is my curriculum and
It is vital and you are welcome
You are also like me immortal.

Teacher's Day 2012

Just once a year comes Teacher's Day,
For students to celebrate it;
Show respect, gratitude some way;
As teachers who always befit!

Imparting knowledge to pupils
Is work of noble sacrifice:
Which teachers do all through their lives;
While training them, akin bee-hives!

A world bereft of teachers,
Can one ever imagine?
They do what parents cannot do,
And make the student fit for life!

Should you not wish your teachers dear,
On this memorable day?
And make them feel happy and see
The affection of students, this way!

(Africa poems) Gloom is what they confuse with true teaching

Old teacher!
You said...
If you're going to be
A street sweeper
Have the decency to be
The Oscar winning street sweeper!
Old teacher!
You said...
If you're going to be a mother
Make sure you mother them
To be responsible patriotic Africans!
Old teacher!
You said...
If you're going to be teachers
And doctors and lawyers
If you're going to represent Africa
In the sports arenas and the world forums
Do so with pride and dignity and brilliance!
Old teacher!
You said....
Be not like the plastic teachers
You see whose lessons lack the verve
And the soul and the love
Gloom is what they confuse with
The noble art of teaching
Don't be like them and
Their easy to forget lessons
That are without depth
And it reflects in the backlash of their pupils
Ad they loath their weak teachers
They don't respect them because
They are false teachers

A Warm Welcome to Teachers Today

Gone are the days of Guru-shishya!
Teachers of mettle are on the wane
Most things seem changed in today’s world
Ethics is on a downward trend

Students feel they can learn themselves
The Internet gives a false confidence
But none can be blamed for how things are
Virtues are declining fast!

Yet, teaching is a noble art!
Good teachers are a country’s wealth
Teachers must put their heart, mind, soul
Into teaching – their professional goal!

A teacher must be role-model
A teacher must be exemplary
A teacher must be knowledgeable
A teacher must be dedicated

Let’s change the world of teaching then
Let’s share with love, selflessly ken
Let’s make better all our children
Let’s make the student’s life, heaven!

Let noble thoughts fill teacher’s heart
Let perseverance rule the craft
Let craft become to all an art
Let love of teaching make head-start!

Curriculum

Bright sunny skies,
Shine high.
With clouds minimized!
And I know why,
Your eyes...
Are clear,
And particular!

On a flight like a kite.
Excited by height.
And delighted your life,
Has a new insight.
And I,
Enjoy this ride you find...
Particular!

That curriculum chosen,
Is your own.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen,
All alone.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen...
That you've shown.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum...
Nobody but you've got it!

That curriculum chosen,
Is your own.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen,
All alone.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen...
That you've shown.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum...
Nobody but you've got it!

Those bright sunny skies,
Shine high.
With clouds minimized!
And I know why,
Your eyes...
Are clear,
And particular!

Nobody but you've got it!

That curriculum chosen,
Is your own.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen,
All alone.
Oh, oh.
That curriculum chosen...

Oh, oh.
That curriculum...

That curriculum...

Teacher’s Day 2011

Relive those moments when you’re just a kid!
Your mother was your first teacher and dad;
School-teachers did their role beyond compare;
And college-teachers did their part quite fair!

And ‘Teachers’ Day’ has come again this year;
Remember all your teachers very dear;
Contact them in some way and render ‘thanks’;
Teachers are earthly angels in high ranks!

Think of some way of expressing your love;
Gift them something to tell them they were great;
Enquire just asking about their health;
Our teachers are our nation’s pride and wealth!

Hard To Believe

Its very hard as rock
Soft as butter
To respect your teacher
To wish a teacher
May be its right
May not be its right.

Teachers are with variety
Personal variety, proffessional sequence
Thinking, Finding and Rewinding
This is how some are
Hardly difficult to respect
Softly to quite from teacher.

A teacher is ultimate
Supreme to any power
They are the over soul
Life ends or trends
By the immortal souls
Such teachers are rare.

May be you do with
Sometimes you don't
Prepositional elements can end
When a teacher of a kind
Like the catcher in the hell
Hard to believe such teachers.

Teacher is the only truth
He or She the only belief
Trust and belief the other name
When that trust itself is broken
From and by a teacher
Can you believe?
Am sure its hard to believe.

Wish and love and care
Must be submitted to a teacher
Surrendered with respect
Become subaltern under teacher.

Disciples are free from Karma
Liberated after their submission
Recieving with honour, love
Is the only Karma of a teacher.

She kicked me for submission
She insulted my wishes
She bombarded me for my Karma
Gave strong pain in my -.

Is She a teacher?
Is She a mother?
Is She should be regarded?
Is She should be rewarded?
Its hard to believe her.

No student forgive her
No one believe her
No one should wish her
I hope you wont.

Look into her heart

Don’t look past her, look into her heart
Don’t deny this feeling, let it flow
Let this warmth soak into your heart
Let love be what it’s meant to be
Don’t look past her, look into her heart

You’ve been touched by a woman
And you know you cant resist her
She makes your senses spin
As you breathe her into you
This woman of heart and soul
Has this place you’ve searched for
Hungry and restless until she came
Her rhythmic responses to your touch
Her sighs and smiles make you a man

Don’t look past her, look into her heart
Don’t deny this feeling, let it flow
Let this warmth soak into your heart
Let love be what it’s meant to be
Don’t look past her, look into her heart

You’ve been loved by a woman
She gives herself to you
Her softness fills your heart
Gentle breathing next to you
As you caress her face, she is yours
You’ve not lived until you’ve met her
Uneasy heart now beating strong
Knowing a woman’s touch
Knowing her love, she is yours.

Don’t look past her, look into her heart
Don’t deny this feeling, let it flow
Let this warmth soak into your heart
Let love be what it’s meant to be
Don’t look past her, look into her heart

Teacher’s Day

Obey your teachers, everyone;
Respect your teachers, everyone;
Remember your teachers, everyone.
Heed to what they teach in class.

Like/ love your teachers, if superb;
Emulate your teachers exemplary;
Reward them for their excellence;
Be humble to them all through your life;
Thank your teachers for good things done;
Forgive your teachers, if they’ve wronged;
Pray to God to bless their lives on earth always.

Never mock;
Never hate;
Never anger;
Never belittle;
Never ridicule;
Never humiliate:
Your teachers anytime.

Be proud of all your teachers
Of your school and college;
Help them if they should ask;
Assist them in each task;
A teacher is a gift from God;
Thank God for your part!

Teachers in Action

Teacher Angie at the back
behind Teacher Eve,
besides Teacher Emelie
who's in pink
and holding Teacher Mary Ann
her bestfriend ever since,
who were also leaning
towards Teacher Tess
who's wearing blue blouse but smiling,
Me at the back wearing glasses
afraid to be noticed by someone.
beside me is Teacher Flor,
smiling as ever
even the absence
of her family,
infront of her is the preggy,
the lady in gray who's texting
even in the middle
of this fancy meeting,
were all friends
but more to that
we are also teachers
who never cease
to love our own students
we all love teaching.

Teacher’s Day Verses (A Pot Pourri)

Most teachers teach;
And some do preach;
Not all can reach
The pupil each!

On ‘Teachers’ Day’
Students must say,
‘From heart, we thank you, aye,
for showing us life’s way! ’

Teachers are mostly right;
Pupils should never fight;
They show all wisdom’s light
With selflessness and might.

Each teacher is God’s gift,
Who gives us our life’s lift;
And warns us not to drift
Away, from learning shift!

Our teachers help us learn;
Sometimes they are quite stern;
The mid-night oil, we burn;
Our learning helps us earn;

There are some hearts that care,
And show love that is rare
Like parents, and knowledge share;
And smile, when students well fare.

Let students thank God
For teachers’ precepts, rod;
They must always nod
To teacher’s every word.

Our teachers mean a lot;
In life, they change our lot,
And prevent us from rot;
To thank them, we all ought.

Our Teachers give the spark
That lights our lives quite dark;
They keep us on the mark
Like guardian angels, Hark!

Touch A Dream

Once you’ve touched a dream
and know its reality,
you want to go back
and touch it again and again.
You want to feel the warmth
that dream made you feel inside,
feel that lighter than air feeling
that you couldn’t hide.
Once you’ve touched a dream
and know its reality,
you’ve sipped the golden nectar
from an every growing vine.
Your world has become and oyster
with a pearl inside
and that pearl is your dream
that will never subside.

I, Believe

I have never seen or touched GOD,
I have never seen or heard the Sea,
I have never seen or touched the wind,
But in them all, I do believe.

I have never seen a Man kill another,
I have never seen a Man that was not free,
I have never seen a Man to die for love,
But in them, I do believe.

Many Souls have often told me
That surely they do not believe,
In something you feel in your heart and soul,
Unless you can touch it, hear it, and then see.

My Soul has no ears, but it does hear,
My heart has no eyes, but it does see,
My brain knows the difference between right and wrong,
So in many things, I whole heartily believe.

I have never seen or tasted prejudice,
I have never seen or touched creed,
I have never seen or heard death,
But in them, I do believe.

I believe in the things that I cannot see,
Though people tell me they do not exist,
For I see in my heart, and hear it in my soul,
And its belief feels like a gentle kiss,
Oh wonderful Child how you I do envy,
To live my life through your dreams,
To believe with my heart and then the soul,
And everything lived and loved as it seemed,
Child with you, I do believe,
Your world is much better than mine,
You feel with your heart and touch with your soul,
And you don't know of hate, envy or lying.

In dreams and wishes I do believe,
In the impossible and extraordinary I do believe,
In a Child's hopes and thoughts I do believe,
And in the belief of beliefs, I shall always believe.

A bad or a good teacher

A bad teacher is negatively pessimistic
A good teacher is positively optimistic

A bad teacher swears all the time
A good teacher cares in their prime

A bad teacher passes on rude fear
A good teacher has on good ears

A bad teacher discourages
A good teacher encourages

A bad teacher despairs
A good teacher prepares

A bad teacher likes to bitch
A good teacher likes to teach

A bad teacher shouts every moment
A good teacher scouts for every talent

A bad teacher is up for crude devices
A good teacher is up for good advice

A bad teacher lets students fight on in the dark
A good teacher sets students on the right track

A bad teacher feeds on their looks
A good teachers reads many books

A bad teacher sings along with wrong faults
A good teacher brings along the right results

My English Teacher

At the grade three
A new teacher came
Around her table
A queue we were all in

Having exercise books on our hands
To get written our names on it
Twining with aroma of her perfume
Let the mind not go back to the bench

My English teacher
Not like other teachers
Wearing new dresses
Pleasant smile with snazzy

I bought a double rule book
To write proper English letters
Putting the alphabet of base
Following day had a message

No more with us
Principle's words
Teacher came to us
We cried a lot

"Why may teacher you go leaving us'
'Is our school not good'

While worshiping on her feet
Without an answer
Looking at us
Touched our heads

She got a transfer
Because of our remote dry school

Since then on
Until primary end
Without an English teacher
My texts books were new

She doesn't know me for sure
Placed an aroma still in my mind
You wrote that name of mine
I am writing today.

Sonnet: Students’ Duty to Teachers...

Most teachers share knowledge with students all,
And help them learn the things they ought in life,
And train and groom them for the exam-hall,
And eke a livelihood, avoiding strife.

How should students repay their sacrifice,
Devotion, love and labour, teachers lend?
–Obedience, industriousness suffice,
With reverence to teachers till the end.

One can’t repay a teacher’s service, love,
Or priceless time, attention rendered free;
When students toil to rise in life, and prove
Much greater than their teachers tend to be,

It fills a teacher’s heart with joy to know,
His work was useful to students somehow!
