The one you minimise could be eating meat everyday.

One Meat Ball
(l. singer-h.zaret)
The little man walked up and down
To find an eating place in town
He read the menu through and through
To see what fifteen cents could do
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, he could afford but one meat ball
He told the waiter near at hand
A simple dinner he had planned
The guests were startled one and all to hear
That waiter loudly call
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, this here gent wants one meat ball
Little man felt very bad
One meat ball was all he had
And in his dreams he hears that call
Ya gets no bread with one meat ball
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, you get no bread with one meat ball
Well, he could afford but one meat ball
One meat ball, one meat ball
All he could afford was one meat ball
One meat ball

One-Off (Xmas Turkey)
I ate meat
After nearly two whole years
A whole plate of Christmas turkey meat
Brown and white
Free Range
Next day my body just rebelled
Felt like a post-war zone
A wounded combatant
Consuming itself
Flesh eating fowl eating flesh
An animal
A cannibal
This must be
How all carnivores feel
Unknowingly

Now that I know how supermarket meat is made, I regard eating it as a somewhat risky proposition. I know how those animals live and what's on their hides when they go to slaughter, so I don't buy industrial meat.

For Molly, Concerning God
Is God the one who eats the meat
off the bones of dead people?
-Molly Miranda Jong-Fast, age 3 1/2
God is the one,
Molly,
whether we call him
Him,
or Her,
treeform or spewing
volcano,
Vesuvius or vulva,
penis-rock,
or reindeer-on-cave-wall,
God is the one
who eats
our meat,
Molly,
& we yield
our meat
up willingly.
Meat is our
element,
meat is our
lesson.
When our bodies fill
with each other,
when our blood swells
in our organs
aching for another,
body of meat,
heart of meat,
soul of meat,
we are only doing
what God wants
us to—
meat joining meat
to become insubstantial air,
meat fusing
with meat
to make
a small wonder
like you.
The wonder of you
is that you push
our questions
along into
the future—
so that I know
again
the wonder of meat
through you,
the wonder of meat
turning to philosophy,
the wonder of meat
transubstantiated
into poetry,
the wonder of
sky-blue meat
in your roundest eyes,
the wonder of
dawn-colored meat
in your cheeks & palms,
the wonder of meat
becoming
air.
You
are my theorem,
my proof,
my meaty metaphysics,
my little questioner,
my small Socrates
of the nursery-schoolyard.
To think that
such wonder
can come from meat!
Well then,
if God is hungry—
let Him eat,
let Her eat.

Wasps are Carnivores
Wasps are carnivores
Yes they eat meat
Aggressive meat eaters
mean meat eating stinging machines
I am not vegetarian
But I don't have a sting in my tail
Bloody wasps spoil the summer.
I googled to see if they did anything useful
I didn't like what I found
Without them, wine would not exist.
Ok ok I don't hate you quite as much
But is this why you are so smug?
Sometimes after wine I get a sting in my tail!

My Idea Of Bliss
Explained to my colleague my idea of bliss, giving
up meat, finding the taste revolting, eating butter
on rye crackerbread and drinking milk powder in
coffee - she frowned and told me this would be
fattening, I would grow as round as the earth
Yet before doing this I ate the right food on my
husband's safe food list and had to watch my
widening girth; now I don't fear the enemy in
butter and milk, as long as I have no hunger
pains to plague me all day, no headaches
No allergy symptoms at play, I am content to
leave the meat on my plate, if turning into a
vegetarian is the next step in healing from
aches and pains, I shall rejoice, eating
creatures with higher consciousness
Just seems so wrong - I'm holding thumbs
this healing goes on…

A Guide to Eating Meat
Eating a little beef
Could cause a Hindu grief,
Eating too much chicken
Can make a person sicken,
Eating lots of lamb
Is preferable to Spam,
Eating a leg of pork
Won't make the neighbours talk,
But eating Mum and Dad
Is DEFINITELY BAD! !

A New Definition Of What Is Poetry
now i think i know
what poetry is
it is
everyday
it is not
a form
but a thought
it is beyond thoughts
even
it is a stream
of emotions
and there is a boat
that sails beneath them
there is no rudder
neither sail
there are only hands
that feel
the cascading waters
feet that dangle on the
river
straining the coldness
of the eddies
there is the peace
of the sky
there is the freedom
of the drifting
of the clouds
it is foremost
a dedication and hence
it is as i am telling you
and everyday
affair
here
is the ordinariness of poetry
that most men
do not take seriously
that the world
cannot really believe
thinking that this is talent
and tact
no,
it is everyday
it is defecation
it is breathing
it is strolling
it is eating breakfast
and smoking at the park
it is sleeping and running
and holding hands
it is everyday
it is everything
it is not peculiar
or extraordinary
this is my
poetry.

Hunger is a fine sauce
Nature intended me to be
an omnivore: That’s what I am.
I will make no apology
because I enjoy beef and lamb.
Though others may have different views.
I find no cause for argument
if they enjoy their meatless stews.
A vegetarian precedent.
I do as nature bids me to
I eat what is available
and feel no guilt because I do.
Eat meat and fish and vegetables.
We have no choice we have to eat
I see no fault in eating meat.

Look not at thieves eating meat, but look at them suffering punishment.
Look and keep silent, and if you are eating meat, tell the world it's fish.
Meat & Potato Man
Meat and potato man
I like my steak well done, my taters fried
Football games on monday night
Its just who I am
A meat and potato man
I like my coffee black
Oltv shows
My women hot and my beer ice cold
Its just who I am
A meat and potato man
I dont like caviar, sushi bars,
The irs or phony stars
Im a haggard fan
A meat and potato man
I like my fishinholes, lightninbugs
Flatt nscruggs, and my womans love
Its just who I am
A meat and potato man
I like my wrangler jeans, cowboy boots
Cornbread and beans and country roots
Its just who I am
A meat and potato man
I dont like politics, hypocrites
Folks with poodles dressed like kids
Im a hounddog fan
A meat and potato manyeah, thats what I am,
A meat and potato man

Eating tough meat is always harder for a toothless lion.
The Reason And Cause For Their Pain
Everyday!
Everyday as if a ritual,
Someone is complaining...
About being misunderstood.
Everyday as if a ritual,
Fault is being made...
About someone else.
Everyday as if a ritual,
People are accused...
For something they didn't do.
Everyday!
Everyday as if a ritual,
Some believes they have the right...
To excuse themselves of responsibility.
And everyday,
Someone is left to feel alone...
Still not getting the connection,
Between their misdeeds...
Aches and pains.
And those heartbreaks they receive,
They have come to perceive...
No one else has known!
And everyday without fail,
As sure as the ticking of a clock is heard...
These people will not see themselves,
The reason and cause for their pain.

Everyday I Have To Cry
(arthur alexander)
Everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
There was a little boy I had planned to marry
This was my love I didnt want to share it
I thought that love would make my life bright and sunny
He said he couldnt love me cause he didnt have no money
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
I got me a boy
I guess I really loved him
Every night now I was thinking of him
But you cant mix love with money
cause if you do its gonna hurt somebody
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
Although I know that hes just a poor boy
Is it wrong to love cause hes not a rich boy?
Every time you mix love with money
Every time you hurt somebody
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
Everyday I have to cry
Everyday I have to cry
Oh, oh

My Mum Is An Excellent Cook
My mum is an excellent cook
But she doesn’t make good food everyday
We eat special things all the time
Is what my friends feel and say
They keep telling me to bring
Special food to school
But having stomach aches everyday
Is what I do not think cool
When someone reminded me of
Mom made Pizza, chocolates and meat
Now I don’t care of stomachache
All I want to do is eat!

All Of Them Died Of Starvation
That meat and veg before you chew on,
Think of our beauty and charm,
The conclusion to our fate is not foregone,
Surely you wouldn't do us any harm.
Place that mashed turnip off to the side,
Think before you eat your roast beef,
Carnivores and veggies we cannot abide,
Eating us won't bring you relief.
Don't eat that pork you'll abhor the taste,
Cabbage you will never enjoy,
Eating poor vegetables is a terrible waste,
Poor animals you wouldn't wish to destroy.
Put that venison back in the field,
Place those carrots back in the ground,
If you eat us your fate will be sealed,
There's plenty of water to go round.
The meat and veg said let's make a pact,
We'll tell them God says their morals are bent,
Then fool them by saying our spirit has cracked,
If you eat us you'll forever repent.
They're so intelligent they believe in Gods,
These are entities they can't even see,
They won't think for a moment that we are the frauds,
Say we're deities and I'm sure they'll agree.
The humans believed us and now we all thrive,
That filled us all with elation,
Now there are no homo sapiens alive,
