Right Before Your Eyes

When the door shuts
Don't worry about me
Its not attention that I want from you
I need you to trust who I'm gonna be
And in everything I'm going to do
Cause I'm not afraid
Of what I don't know
For understanding is all that I earn
What is for sure is I'm gonna to go
I'm gonna to live and I'm going to learn
And I know there will be mistakes that I will make
But I know they're not worse than chances I don't take, take
Right before your eyes I am changing, changing
New life on the inside I am changing, changing
When the door shuts
Its shuts in front of me
A new person that I have become
I follow my heart to my destiny
But living in fear and sorrow is done
There will be no more feeling that I'm all alone
I will surround myself with things that help me grow, grow
Right before your eyes I am changing, changing
New life on the inside I am changing, changing
Right before your eyes I am changing, changing
New life on the inside I am changing, changing
Right before your eyes I am changing, changing
New life on the inside I am changing, changing
Right before your eyes
Right before your eyes

Swan Song

The toppled gravestones,
I still count the heads.
I will go with your swan song,
the bond erupts.

You were always sitting under the
bougainvillea, waiting for the swallow.
The next door summer arrives;
Why did you say, it was biting cold?

The door shuts on the moon.
It was obviously very dark,
and I was searching the space
between ’yes’ and ‘no’.

Many of us have heard opportunity knocking at our door, but by the time we unhooked the chain, pushed back the bolt, turned two locks, and shuts off the burglar alarm - it was gone.

At One Moment...

then everything shuts up.
the door and windows.
nothing opens, you have no use finally
of your hands and eyes,
and this time
you simply become an empty bag
put inside a cabinet
waiting for the
next trip to
nowhere
you are rested but it is dark
and silent.

Someone

Someone's heart-door shuts
And the song of life never comes out.
Someone mutters
But it's voiceless
And in the feverish air
That never travels to her
Unless a great force.
Oh! It's a gloomy Sunday
The unusual bench in the park
Waits for a stranger to chat.
But the park gate was closed
As the gate-keeper lost his bunch of keys
After a nightcap.
A handsome beggar found the keys in an early morning
At the tavern door step
And he thinks he could enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

* All the time I feel that someone knocks at my door,
And I peep out but nobody's there.
I have heard that the death has a habit of knocking at doors?

Funny in a way

I have waited most of my life
waiting for mister right to arrive
when he was already here

I have fought broke up many times before
still he would comfort me, cheer me and as he shuts the door
he would say honey no one deserves that tear

I don’t know how I could never realize
when he was the only one who could read my eyes
and tell me what It is I fear

he only used to listen and stand
yet right away he could understand
I need him close and near

We Dream Of A Soul

the convict roams the earth
searching for a place to call home
each door that he knocks
shuts him out
the world does not have any space
for him to be
at least
this man for another chance
in change
for the better

we tell him
he has a soul
we tell him
he must rise
from his body

so one day he dreams he has one
he believes what we had been saying
he has a soul
he has a spirit to embolden his body
one that rises above his curse his adversity

did we not deceive him?
leaving him in such a dream
redemption, resurrection, those fit for gods
and the chosen ones?

look at him
wandering again, knocking from door to door
moving from one place to another
looking for that bishop who must adopt him

jean valjean, in your misery and the coming miseries
where can this bishop be?
this century, where beliefs are given
where nothing that satisfies your belly is still hidden.

we dream of a soul
we negate this body, this flesh, this daily dying

Homesick

What have I told you?
Nobody ever shuts up
Rather than listen
They hear themselves talk
Godawful habit
Try to behave yourselves
Nothing the matter
Just trying to get across

Why don't I go home?
I'll put a record on
Like a Ray Charles song

What have I told you?
Nobody ever shuts up
Could be a bad time
Now that my high-tech hope is lost
Live for a starry sky
Under a Holly Hunter moon
What is the matter?
You're feeling homesick too?

Why don't I go home?
I'd like to be alone
Got me worried now
If I could block it out somehow
It's too loud

When Heaven Shuts The Door

When you are tired
and heaven shuts the door
are you going to just sit there
and wait for heaven
to open the door?

No my dear,
get up and gather your strength
run untill you find
the crowd of those who are tired.

The crowd is singing
songs for heaven
join them
and sing with them
songs for heaven.

Yes my dear,
sing out loud, so loud
untill heaven got no other choice
but to open the door
for all of you who are tired.

Emily Dickinson

Exclusion (The soul selects her own society)

The soul selects her own society,
Then shuts the door;
On her divine majority
Obtrude no more.
Unmoved, she notes the chariot's pausing
At her low gate;
Unmoved, an emperor is kneeling
Upon her mat.
I've known her from an ample nation
Choose one
Then close the valves of her attention
Like stone.
