The Safest Place
Thank God that you were by my side..
On a night....
On a night...
Daytime Im fine
Everything is back normal
Last night I thought that I would die
I had nightmares, I was so scared
Thank God that you were by my side
To hold me when I cried
I wanna be strong
But I dont wanna be alone tonight
I wanna believe that I can save the world
And make it right
But I believe that youve got a heros face
Right here in your arms is safest place
The safest place
It feels so real
You showed I could trust you
With emotions I had locked away
It was your touch, your words
They hear deepest part of me
That only you can see
I wanna be strong
But I dont wanna be alone tonight
I wanna believe that I can save the world
And make it right
But I believe that youve got a heros face
Right here in your arms is safest place
As long as Im with you
As long as I can feel you
Thats all I need to keep me going
On and on and on and on....
I wanna believe that I can save the world
And make it right
But I believe that youve got a heros face
Right here in your arms is safest place
Right here in your arms is safest place....
The safest place...
The safest place...

Sonnet 14
constant love in inconstant time,
not victim to altering circumstance,
one will makes of two, two one divine
constant, proving love's allegiance.
begotten of two may be ten children.
then ten children make many ten.
soon ten thousand inhabit heaven.
ten thousand your image bear then
to posterity, your children to grow
and branch reign in highest heaven.
children in branch will branch bow.
in star clusters sprout image then!
but to posterity, o will-less one,
your will dies and posterity's done.

Social Chickens
i wonder why the
white and red chickens
escape from their
house
tonight they roost upon
the branch of an old
tree
so high that they can
see
above our fence
the road
the red and white chickens
too of my other
neighbor's yard
roosting on the other tree

Safest Place To Hide
It seems like yesterday when I said I do
And after all this time my heart still burns for you
If you dont know by now that youre my only one
Just take a look inside me and watch my heart strings come undone
I know I promised you forever
Is there no stronger word I can use?
To reassure you when the storm is raging outside
Youre my safest place to hide
Can you see me? Here I am
I need you like I needed you then
When I feel like giving up
I climb inside your heart and still find
Youre my safest place to hide
You see colors no one else can see
In every breath you hear a symphony
You understand me like nobody can
I feel my soul look for you like a flower blooming
When this whole world gets too crazy
And theres nowhere left to run
I know you give me sanctuary
Youre the only truth I know
Youre the road back home
Can you see me? Here I am
Standing here, where Ive always been
And when words are not enough
I climb inside your heart and still find
Youre my safest place to hide
I know I promised you forever
Theres no stronger word I can use
To reassure you when the storm is raging outside
Youre my safest place to hide
Can you see me? Here I am
Standing here, where Ive always been
When I feel like giving up
I climb inside your heart and still find
Youre my safest place to hide
Oh, yeah
Youre my safest place to hide

A Sense Of Home.....
the chickens in the backyard
are feeding themselves freely
on the corn grits
the hen are checking her chicks
and enfolds all of them with her wings
under the mango tree
the roosters roost up the tree
settling upon a big branch
it is getting dark and a flock of sparrows
arrive and stop to take their own place
on the coconut palms
they're all home now, and then
the silence begins to hover too inside the room.

When Your Sins Come Home to Roost
When you fear the barber’s mirror when you go to get a crop,
Or in sorrow every morning comb your hair across the top:
When you titivate and do the little things you never used—
It is close upon the season when your sins come home to roost.
Many were the sins of others and you never were to blame,
Some were sins you shared in common—you must suffer all the same;
Some were sins of wasted hours with the wine cup or a mate,
But you cannot share the burden—and they come in duplicate.
Oh! you’ll find the fowls are heavy and their claws are sharp and deep—
They will bow your head in working, they will jerk you from your sleep,
And so many hands are eager just to give your back a boost
On the road to wreck and ruin when your sins come home to roost.
But you don’t let on they’re roosting and you take some only way,
And you never whine or guzzle and you neither curse nor pray;
You will never for an instant let your lower lip be loosed—
But you stand up like a soldier when your sins come home to roost!
And you’ll find them growing lighter till you find room for a few
Of the sins of other mortals who have weaker souls than you:
Then you’ll smile, and not too sadly, at old sins reintroduced—
And you’ll be a man in many when your sins come home to roost.

The Tree And The Branch
the tree looks
upon a branch
where a ripe
fruit is hanging
the tree says
it is mine
the branch say
i am holding it
the tree says
the branch too
belongs to it
angry about the
tree's greed
the branch lets go off
the ripe fruit
a hungry child
picks it up
and goes home
with a happy heart

On Seeing Tawny Frogmouths
At nightfall the birds known as tawny frogmouth come out in family groups of three or four
They do not have a song the only sounds they do make is a sort of a low pitched nasal snore
In the wooded parkland they fly from tree to tree in their search for tree insects and flies
And they return to roost on their roosting trees at the dawning just before sunrise,
Quite expert at camouflage in their colours of brown lengthwise on a bare branch of a tree
In the bright light of day they look part of the branch they are almost impossible to see
Disguised from the prying eyes of predators in safety they rest Nature never ceases to amaze
Of her so little we do seem to know we are strangers to Nature's ways,
Related to the nightgars nocturnal insect eating birds though frogmouths far greater in size
For better vision in dimlight the night birds 'twould seem than day birds have far larger eyes,
I have seen the frogmouths at nightfall in the park near my home almost tame to them I approached near
Of human kind so little they seem to know so of humans they show little fear,
From tree to tree in the parkland they fly these quiet brown birds of the night
So well camouflaged on their bare roosting branch they seem part of the tree in daylight.

Branches In Time
A young tender
branch
is easily bent
into submission.
As time goes
by
maturity begins
to set in
the branch
grows stronger.
With each passing
day
she becomes able to
carry the leaves
attached
Until one day
raising her arms
high into the sky
a mature branch
emerges
refusing to bend
anymore.

Y.. Tree of Life
The tree of life
It has a branch
A money making branch
The bigger the money making branch
The more comfortable our life
But if the money making branch
Is the only branch
On our tree of life
It is such an ugly and unstable tree.
A prayer and devotion branch
Will stabilize the tree of life
Let it be a real big branch
On your tree of life
But if only two branches on a tree
Imagine how ugly it would still be!
So let there be branches
Of Affability and Charity
Of Cheerfulness and Friendliness
Of Gentleness and Honesty
Of Humility and Compassion
Of Spirituality and Wisdom
Of Courage and Hard work
With these branches present,
It will carry soon the lush greenery
Of love and job satisfaction
And soon enough, the tree of life
Will bear the fruits
Of peace of mind and happiness.
A wonderful tree of life I wish you
with many fine branches
and lots of greenery and fruits.

Bohemian; A Flyleaf in the book of morals
He makes his roost on an uprooted and a flamboyant tree.
The wingless bird is longing to fly.
They divide the earth and inside the barriers build their own prisons
In different colors and shapes it seems.
They fly in dreams along the illusory sky and smile, cry, sing and dance.
The grown-up offspring struggle to flutter over their new roost.
The elders isolate in their old gloomy shacks and lament.
The dumb earth knows everything,
Yet her dialogue is a dead language in morbidity.

Pidgeon Roost Hollow
I'm living upon Pidgeon Roost Hollow-Where the sun seldom ever shines-Trying hard to make a dollar-Working in these dreary coal mines-I'm not happy on Pidgeon Roost Hollow-Tears are streaming down my face-If I ever get enough money-I'm sure gonna leave this place-I could never find the right woman-That I wanted for my wife-I had to accept the painful truth-I'll be a batchlor all of my life-I'll travel away down south-Where the days are filled with sun-I'll try to save enough money -To buy a little home for one.

Doomed darkness
the end is coming if it in the way of light or if it is in the way of eternal darkness no one knows short of the allfather himself after the absence of light comes a mystery shrouded in dark engergies who knows what lays ahead in a unknown future could be good or bad or it is probably both so however in which you live your life if your good hearted than thats great if your bad and dark inside your ending would be diffrent than that of a saint not everyone whom is good is always good for everyone has but a little bit of darkness hidden deep in themselves but only a few can be good and never bad or evil one cant be both a question or phrase i once read is' There are those that feel most safest in the light and those that feel most safest in the darkness which one are you? A Broken Branch, A Fervent Tree
Such compassion and beauty be,
With the comfort strongly felt,
A friendship intensely made,
By the obstacles both sides have dealt.
I have no life without my other half,
No laughter unfeigned, no smile undelayed,
Immensely crafted into a bond,
So resilient and true, yet not dismayed.
I am a branch without a tree,
If I'm not with you, I fall, I am unbalanced,
You are my inner strength, my inner warmth,
A clandestine unglanced.
Such a friend you are,
A friend that one could never imagine,
A feeling of mirth and undeniable care,
As warm as a joyful grin.
I am a branch without a tree,
Incomplete without a tree,
I am the branch, you are the tree,
A broken branch, a fervent tree.
