The heart has arguments with which the understanding is unacquainted.

Understanding
It seems like only yesterday
I didn't have a clue
I stood alone not knowin where to turn
Now suddenly I look around
And everything looks new
I don't know why, but I think I'm startin' to learn
They call it understanding
A willingness to grow
I'm finally understanding
There's so much I can know
Until the day you came along
I used to just get lost
I only heard the things I wanted to hear
It always seemed like no one cared
But then you took the time
And now I look and everything seems clear
You've got me understanding
You've really helped me see
I'm finally understanding
It's meant so much to me
You've got me understanding
You're really on my side
You've got me understanding

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXXII)
To answer Job, the three men ceased;
Their arguments hadn’t Job appeased;
Kindled was Elihu’s anger;
Job’s views had gone a bit stranger.
Job staunchly said that he was right;
He proved it all in his own light;
Could man be right and God be wrong?
Yet, conclude one must any song!
The three had not convinced Job well;
‘Wrong was his stance, ’ they could not tell;
The three were older but got tamed;
Elihu’s wrath became inflamed.
The son of Barachel then said,
‘I’m young and you are an old head;
And so, I was afraid to speak
And share my views, with you, all meek;
Your years should have taught you wisdom;
But God has given you freedom;
The breath of God (man’s spirit) gives
Understanding, by which he lives.
’Tis not that days can make one wise;
’Tis not that man is free of vice;
Nor aged understand what’s right;
So, heed to what I say: See light!
I heard your arguments so far,
And conclusion of your word-war;
I followed all who spoke with care;
To convince Job, no one did dare!
None could refute what Job had said;
Don’t say we’ve met a wisdom-head;
Had he addressed his words to me,
I would have spoken differently
Now that you’ve spoken for your part,
I wish to open up my heart;
I want to speak a lot of things,
So, let me say what my heart brings!
My spirit compels from within,
Like pressure from anew wineskin;
I’m on verge of bursting out,
Let me hence speak and clear your doubt.
I won’t be partial to someone,
And neither will I flatter one;
And if I did, I know my God
Will take my life away by rod!

The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it.

Crazed Madness Now the Rage
To a finger no one lifts...
From hands kept in balled fists,
To stop and avoid anguish.
With a listening to begin.
But those...
Arguments!
Arguments!
Arguments spit...
To foam from twisted lips!
Rose to the top of everyone's list!
To eyes open wide with chaos surveyed...
And fading promises made,
To end conflicts created.
None of this!
None of this!
None of this would have ever existed,
If fellowship for one another...
Had been consistently displayed.
Instead of a crazed madness,
Now the rage everyone seeks to stage.

I should have known better. Pro-life arguments are now based on scientific evidence and the pro-choice arguments are not. That is a cultural, historical fact.

There are legitimate, even powerful arguments, to be made against the Bush administration's foreign policy. But those arguments are complicated, hard to explain, and, in the end, not all that sensational.

This Understanding - July/i Am The News
I get this understanding
It's like a living breath
And it grooves with the times
And it swings with the tune
And it flows until the end of rest
I get this understanding
It knocks at every door
And it keeps you awake
With a sweet elevate
And it keeps you running back for more
I get this understanding
On a night like tonight
And i'm driving and driving
And never arriving
But the way i'm singing oh so right
I get this understanding
When a fish when it's fried
And it's you coming home
And i'm being on my own
And we're shaking off the world outside
I get this understanding
It happens every day
When the truth or the blues
Is a ??? through my doors
And i save it for a better day
I get this understanding
When the music swings low
And i'm there on the floor
And i'm waiting for more
And i never never want to go home

Be offensive to gain
Truth suffers from judgment on two counts.
False arguments are not totally rejected;
True arguments are not totally accepted.
A compromise is struck in mind in between.
The offensive will ultimately gain.

I Wonder Woman
All… that we know as mates…
What…are we doing…as mates…
Knowing and doing…
A decision you must decide…
Has nothing to do with pride…
(Repetition) …could be good or bad…
(In the case of Abuse) …
Arguments and beatings over time…
Brings fear and a forced obedience…
In the case of love of self…
Arguments and beatings…
Brings separation and your freedom…
From that…no repetition needed…
Your queen hood succeeded…
Inner passion has much power…
You…are always the woman of the hour…
Your ability to be queen is…
Inevitable…for you are pregnant…
With such a crown…
No need for a beat down…You woman…
Are…Profound…
So remember that word, love…
And how near to a bed were you…
When, It was said…lol…
The good and the bad…
The…real ups and downs…
Your understanding…of…
(The grass is greener) …means much…
Woman…remember…God, gave you…
That touch…Use it…
Woman man, really is your student…
While being your lover…
Teach him, women unaware will thank you…smile…
Do your job, be queen, that is who you are…
And know, a man will respect that, no matter what…

To see nothing is to perceive the Way, and to understand nothing is to know the Dharma, because seeing is neither seeing nor not seeing and because understanding is neither understanding nor not understanding.

The forces going on in the society are not things the media can prevent or change. But we can and should help understand this crisis and warn against false solutions. If feelings are trumping arguments — the pun is fully intended — it doesn’t mean that arguments don’t still have to be made. It may not win the news cycle. It may not even win this election cycle. But it’s a critical task.

It always seems to me extreme rashness on the part of some when they want to make human abilities the measure of what nature can do. On the contrary, there is not a single effect in nature, even the least that exists, such that the most ingenious theorists can arrive at a complete understanding of it. This vain presumption of understanding everything can have no other basis than never understanding anything. For anyone who had experienced just once the perfect understanding of
one single thing, and had truly tasted how knowledge is accomplished, would recognize that of the infinity of other truths he understands nothing.

The reason behind feelings
Understanding
The reason behind your feelings
And the reasons for feeling this love....
Knowing your emotions as modulations
Of your cognitive mind,
Of your embedded cognition,
In this deep world of yours
With a whispering time.....
Understanding
Your feelings coming into being
Through these inextricably entwined realities...
Understanding
Your glittering feelings of soul, falling into yourself
Like a rain from your internal eye
Or unlike flying pink flamingo..
Understanding
More exactly
This quintessential necessity to hide inside of you.

If Destructive
Be with me or leave.
Arguments or debates,
I can not take...
If destructive.
I seek a companion.
Not a competitor.
And your attempts to do both,
Does not qualify as a satisfaction.
Be with me or leave.
Arguments or debates,
I can not take...
If destructive.

The World and You
there is always something to say
about it
words cannot enclose it
it is beyond
spelling
it is beyond utterances
it is what you feel
inside that keeps on sound and
resounding
and your tongue merely repeats
it and transfers it to your
lips
hence the speaking
and you keep on saying it over and over again
because
it is never heard
because it never arrives
at the chamber of understanding of the heart
such is your pain
that you keep on saying because you have never fully
resolved it
time is you patient teacher
it is the silence that it preaches
its home is always the
calmness
the plenitude of
solitude
the consciousness that there is only you
in this universe
in your hands is the future
in your mind is the moment
in your heart always the understanding
that there is no other you
except yourself
the world is so calm
it is listening to your qualm.

It's All Mathematics
You+me=understanding
Us+understanding=communic ation
Communication+understanding=a bond
A bond+loyalty=love
Love+commitment=togetherness
A bond understanding togetherness,
Between you and me...
Equals communication and love.
It's all mathematics that minuses dramatics!
There can be no division once we've made this decision.

Ordinarily logic is divided into the examination of ideas, judgments, arguments, and methods. The two latter are generally reduced to judgments, that is, arguments are reduced to apodictic judgments that such and such conclusions follow from such and such premises, and method is reduced to judgments that prescribe the procedure that should be followed in the search for truth.
