Butterfly Collector

Stuck behind,
Only watching,
She moves fleetingly,
I’m only watching.

The glass between us,
Only watching,
The gulf behind us,
I’m only watching.

I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.

The class between us,
Only watching,
She moves on the street,
I’m only watching.

I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.

I want to be somewhere else,
I want to be far away,
I want to be somebody else,
Because I don’t want to be a butterfly collector.

I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.

I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be a butterfly collector.

Star Collector

Think Ill let her keep on going
Where ever it is, shes goin, too.
Give her my autograph and tell her
Its been nice knowin you.
Chorus
Shes a star collector (collector of stars)
She only sims to please young celebraties.
Shes a star collector (collector of stars)
How can I love her, when I just dont respect her?
When everthing is goin my way,
She wants to be close at hand.
She moves to some other doorway
When things dont go the way she planned.
Chorus
It wont take much time before I get her off my mind
Chorus (repeat)

Oh Collector

Oh collector I'm so sorry
You had the notion that I was rolling
In the money no I'm sorry
But I'll pay you
No Worry
Let's Sing Softly
Let's Sing Softly
Oh so softly
Not so heavy
I've been heavy with my fortune
Like a crystal and a hammer
I'm so sorry Oh collector
I'm away now in a hurry
Repeat Chorus
Get up all you fighters
Don't you lie here now
Oh collector you had it coming
It was that funny we were rolling
Oh collector we're so sorry
And we'll pay you
No Worry
Repeat Chorus x3

The Butterfly Hunter

O hunter
butterfly collector
let us be
We got a life
we love to fly
and we got family

O don’t catch us
don’t bottle us
don’t gas us
let us be

we love to fly
and we love to bring joy
to poets in gardens;
we love to bring laughter
to children in the fields

O please, Collector
do not bring death to us

O hunter
butterfly collector
let us be
We got a life
we love to fly
and we got family

Guzzle From the Pump...Chump

Guzzle from the pump...
Chump.
Pump payer.
Wallet slayer.
Guzzle from the pump...
Chump.
You ain't by yourself.
And the ride is bumpy...
Gonna leave you grumpy.

Muzzle up and hump,
Chump.
Pump payer.
Wallet slayer.
Grumble in a mumble if you want.
But if you want to get by...
You're gonna squalor for that dollar.
No matter if you holler!

Guzzle from the pump...
Chump.
Pump payer.
Wallet slayer.
Guzzle from the pump...
Chump.
You ain't by yourself.
And the ride is bumpy...
Gonna leave you grumpy.

Am I?

Am I a dreamer whose dream came true?
I must be for I found you.
Am I a winner in ways of the heart?
I must be for I found the part
that makes me happy and makes me win
in everything I do.
The part I found is the happiness
that's missing when I'm not with you.

Am I a finder of all things sweet?
I must be for sugar to me is you.
You are the elixer that stirs up my being
and makes me feel brand new.
Am I a lover who's quite content?
I must be for I've never felt the urge
to stray from your sight for someone new.
For me it's always been you.

Am I a collector who's kept many thoughts?
I must be for I can remember all about you,
the way that you walk and talk and feel
and made my love stay true.

I’m So Proud Of My Murali Boy

I’m so proud of my son Murali
cos he’s always thinking smart
and efficient

I asked him the other day:
“Sonny boy
dear Murali
What’d you like to be
when you grow up? ”

And he says to me:
“I’ll be a garbage collector, Daddy”

And I say to him:
“O my dear boy -
why a garbage collector
of all the jobs? ”

And my little boy Murali
says, smart as he always is:
“Oh, Dad,
look at them:
they have such big trucks
and they work only once a week”

Oh yes, I’m so proud
of my little Murali

To The Wind

Hey Messenger, what do you do
Traversing along hill and land and water
Simply pretending to construe
Waving shapeless hither and thither

Kindler of fire, collector of clouds
Aeolic by command natural
Kindler of bombers, collector of tears
In breaths of humans, aren't you unnatural

Hey Messenger, what do you do
Messaging along of love and hate
Simply pretending to be true
Hailing and wailing in conspiring haste

Call your Messiah, I shall ask
Your celestiality be checked up
Of your split hearts He shall hark
Hey Messenger, retort, don't simply pass up

In The Hopes To Run 'Into' Someone Or Something Of Value

I am not a collector of people.
I value true friendships and what from them I get.
I am not one to trivialize importance.
I treasure my life with a depth of seriousness.

Too many become disappointed,
By what is done to them...
At the whim of another.
Whether family member or friend.

Too many get upset quick,
When deceit enters their relationships.
And sit they do feeling bitterness and pain.
Knowing an investment made has returned no gain.

And feeling robbed they sob tears,
With a hope others understand...
What it is they fear.
Expecting more from what has not been made clear.

I am not a collector of people.
I value true friendships and what from them I get.
I am not one to trivialize importance.
I treasure my life with a depth of seriousness.

And some,
Well...
Seem on the run 'from' themselves.
In the hopes to run 'into' something or someone of value.
