Eleven

ELEVEN

Eleven, eleven, eleven years old,
intrepid, courageous, becomingly bold,
awaiting the whistle to aim at the goal,
youth victory snatches to go for the gold.

Eleven in yellow, eleven in blue,
first warm up, then face out, they know what to do,
team practice their axis extended, each soul
feels ready, steels steady, heart heady, on cue.

Eleven enthusiasts, courage extolled,
engage without rage on the field that has told
long tales of hopes met or defeats swallowed whole,
on one ball all focus as onwards its rolled.

Eleven, eleven, well matched, tackle through,
a game which enflames passions partisan, true,
team work all important as each knows the role
to play so the day stays as record all view

Soft Clear Rain

Soft clear rain is falling
All over our fair town
Soft clear rain is falling
Washing the mean streets down

Soft clear rain is falling
Soaking into the concert drive
Soft clear rain is falling
Keeping things alive

Soft clear rain is falling

Eleven today

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Today you're eleven
That's nine add on two.

Now ten is behind you
And twelve is to come
When riding your bike
Don't fall on your bum.

A six and a five
Make eleven as well
Your maths are so good
This I don't need to tell.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Legs are eleven
But you've only TWO!

Eleven is better
Than ten any day
That's what I think
And I'm going to say:
'Roses are red
Violets are blue,
Eleven is lovely
And so too are you.'

Here Comes 'The Rain

Clear blue skies, the high is day,
here comes 'The Rain',
skies fog and are blanketed in gray.

Here comes 'The Rain', washing my smile away.

Clear puddles all around,
then lightening streaks, thunderous sounds.

'The Rain' brought about my frown,
night falls and 'The Rain' wears a gown,

Here comes 'The Rain', bringing me down.

Rain Rain Rain

Rain, Rain, Rain, come again and again,
In the winter, in the summer and in spring,
Come with joy, fall with happiness and go with sorrow,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Rain, Rain, Rain come to relive earth's pain,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make nature happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make livings happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Rain, Rain, Rain don't go away,
Rain, Rain, Rain i hope you will stay,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Nothing Like The Rain

Key:-a - anita
R - ray
A: whoa, whoa
Yeah yeah!
Nothing like the rain!
R: jyeah...check it out yall! nothing like the rain!
A: hay!!!..... hey!!!.....
Nothing like the rain
R: theres nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain,
To come and wash away, away the pain!
A: let me ask a question where do we go from here?
Playing games to pass the time, thats ok
cause time is on our side!
A: theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To clear the air so we see again!
R: falling down again..
A: if I make a promise, Ill never let you down, no no
Love will always break your heart, so they say
But we can turn that round! oh, baby...
Theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Theres nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain
To clear the air so we see again!
And we wont give up
R: we wont give up!
A: no, we wont give in
R: check it out, yall
A: when there is so much we can do
R: so much left to do
A: and we wont give up
R: we wont give up!
A: no we wont give in
When there is so much left to do.
R: so much left to do...aw, jyeah. its there, can you feel it?
A chance to change the world if you want it, you can give up a lot, but dont give in
Be ready for your break when it comes your way
Today I say, hey, prepare, a break in the clouds you will be heard
Raise your voice, stake your claim
After the storm, after the rain!
A:theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Wash away the pain theres nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain
To clear the air so we see again!
And we wont give up
We wont give up!
No, we wont give in
We wont give in
When there is so much we can do
R: yeah check it out, yall
A: and we wont give up
We wont give up
R: we wont give up!
A: no we wont give in
R: we wont give up
A: when there is so much left to do.
R: nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain

Rain (II)

It thundered as if it would rain;
Appeared sultry as if to feign;
The Sky was clear but blue-black now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!

The clouds were dense and moved slowly;
Lightning patterned the Sky fiercely;
The Wind was almost absent now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!

The Birds were quiet and nested;
Awaiting the downpour, they rested;
The Monsoon was active for now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!

A few droplets of Rain did fall;
Atop the heads of people on stroll;
Afraid, each hurried to his home;
It looked as if the Rain would come!

The Rain did come! The Rain did come!
For once rightly, the Rain did come!

My Sneaking Tears

How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.

My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.

The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…

On equal bearing now were we:
This rain, myself, in harmony.

February Rain

To be the mud, the bog, the mire;
To soak the bones in February –
Eons from the autumn shower–
Even from a summer berry!

Sparrows chirp a desperate call,
Darting questions at the cows –
Oblivious to the dousing squall, they
Churn the sludge with pastern ploughs.

The crying air was lost in rhythm:
Drums incessant in the drops;
Not a chance for rainbow prism –
Even if the hammering stops!

Metallic chills entrap machines –
Tractors hushed within the shed.
Inside the house, a full cuisine
To bless with mead – and little said!

But out across the tiring field,
A sodden fox is hunting down
His prey of sorts – but nil of yield;
Perhaps he’ll starve; perhaps he’ll drown.

Still the clouds are hammering,
Hammering home their dreary aim –
A chatterbox in constant yammering,
Drenching all to make a claim.

Morning Rain

Written by christine mcvie.
Clear as the morning rain
Seeing it very plain
Weve got to start again
Whats that you do
Whats that you say
Theres no use complaining
Its the only way
Theres no use feeling dissatisfied
Cause how can you know until youve tried
Clear as the morning rain
Seeing it very plain
Weve got to start again
Everthings going around in my head
The futures new and the past is dead
Pull out the stops, turn on the light
Cause away from the darkness everything seems bright
Clear as the morning rain
Seeing it very plain
Weve got to start again
Do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do do do...

Always Walk In The Rain With Me

Always walk in the rain with me,
Hold my hand tight so I don’t fall,
I’m so scared of slipping away,

Always walk in the rain with me.
Dance with me held close,
So I can see another days light,

Always walk in the rain with me,
For the drops are becoming heavy,
And the storm is becoming enraged,

Always walk in the rain with me,
Shield me from the man in black,
Don’t let his winds take me away,

Always walk in the rain with me,
Help me see my way,
Need my list fulfilled for time is at hand,

Always walk in the rain with me,
Stay with me for eternity,
Help me dance my way clear,

Always walk in the rain with me,
Promise to love me forever,
Guide me to my rainbow now,

Always walk in the rain with me,
Tell me your heart n soul are mine,

Always walk in the rain with me

Rain Tears

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Melding in torrential fears:
Chill of cloud; saddened eye-
In either way, a latent cry.

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Married under sceptic jeers:
‘They'll never last.' Methinks not true, for
Either way, forever blue.

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Simple love with lacy cares,
Their intercourse will ne'er refrain
From rain and tears and tears and rain.
