Optimism is a mania for saying all is well when one is in hell.

Mecha-mania Boy
This is the boy who burns the books
This is the way he always looks
This is the boy who smashed his car
This is the boy who went too far
Washed his eye with yellow soap
He stole his daddys microscope
All alone, were not proud
Never say his name aloud
Now he wants to know your little mistakes
Where he goes, and whence he came
Its a mecha-mania boy
This is the boy who never sunk
He aint the one who destroys his young
Oh, no
Everybody thats the way to roll
All alone or on the telephone
He knows the time you spend at home
Oh, no
Never say I didnt tell you so
Washed his hands of a deadly fate
He put himself in an altered state
In a crowd or all alone
No-ones laughing anymore
Now he wants to know your little mistakes
Where he goes, and whence he came
Hes a mecha-mania boy
All alone, were not proud
Never say his name aloud
Now he wants to know your little mistakes
Where he goes, and whence he came
Its a mecha-mania boy
In a crowd or all alone
No-ones laughing anymoer
Now he wants to know your little mistakes

There's probably a little greater case for pessimism than optimism. But I do not rule out optimism.
Money-mania
MONEY-MANIA
Man started money,
For the easy tranfer of things,
But now man has become its victim,
Everything has been transferred
For money,
All evils,
For money,
Man has become animal,
For money
This is
Money-mania

There is only one optimist. He has been here since man has been on this earth, and that is man himself. If we hadn't had such a magnificent optimism to carry us through all these things, we wouldn't be here. We have survived it on our optimism.

Lay Me Down
(l. stansfield/i. devaney/a. morris)
Hes warmer than the radiator
Sweeter than caramel
The way he weaves his madness
And it puts me in a spell
He twists me round his finger
And I enjoy it so
Hold me in his tender arms
And never let me go
Hell never let me go
Never let me go
Never let me go
Chorus:
Do, down, lay me down (x4)
Theres never complication
Hell never compromise
His kisses never ending
And they send me to the sky
Hes understanding
And hell never let me down
He fills me up with passion
And hell always be around
Hell always be around
Hell always be around
Always be, he will always be around
Do, down, lay me down (x2)
You hear what I say
Do, down, lay me down (x3)
Hell never let me down
Do, down, lay me down
Do you know what it means to me
Do, down, lay me down
And hes everything, oh baby
Hell always be around
Hell always be around
Hell always be around
Hell always be, hell always be around

Fuego De Noche, Nieve De Dia
Antes de que empiece a amanecer.
Y vuelvas a tu vida habitual.
Debes comprender que entre los dos.
Todo ha sido puro y natural.
Coro:
Tu loca mania.
Has sido mia.
Solo una vez.
Dulce ironia.
Fuego de noche, nieve de dia.
Luego te levantas y te vas.
El te esta esperando como siempre.
Luces tu sonrisa mas normal.
Blanca, pero fria como nieve.
Tu loca mania... (coro)
Y mientras yo me quedo sin ti.
Como un huracan rabioso y febril.
Tanta pasion, tanta osadia oh, tu
Fuego de noche, nieve de dia...
Noche a noche en blanco sin dormir.
Ardo entre los pliegues de mi cama.
Se que estas a punto de venir.
Pero solo viene la ma? ana.
Tu loca mania... (coro)
Y mientras yo me quedo sin ti... (se repite)
Fuego de noche, nieve de dia.

Love Is Hell
There's strange weather in the back of the room
And she's pretty, Jesse's spinning the tunes
Eyelashes, and some white leather boots
God, what have I been drinking?
I could be serious but I'm just kiddin' around
I could be anything, anything but sticking around
Love is hell
Love is hell
Love is . . . hell
Is . . .hell
It's raining, I can see it outside
Funny I'm still in it
Just sitting here with Johnny and Raph'
Untll the room starts spinning
I could be serious but I'm just kiddin' around
I could be anything, nothing, whatever, oh well
Love is hell
Love is hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Love is . . . hell
Is . . . hell

Gonna Raise Hell
Words and music by rick nielsen
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Ambition? ha!
If all Ive heard is true,
Theres nothin much I can do
To change the world, its irreversible.
But in what it lacks,
Its got a taste that smacks of somethin irresistable.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Submission? yes!
Now I wont name names, and a secrets a secret,
But a hints a hint or a clue.
You really wanna know, you really wanna go,
Theres only two things you got to do.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Mother, mother.
Mother, mother.
Mother, mother.
My mission? ah, yes!
Everybody hear? everybody here,
Its a fate I all agree.
Sometimes you win, I never lose,
To me its no mystery.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.

Faith is an axiom
Faith is an axiom which is beyond proof.
Faith is a self-evident fact, a conviction, a belief which exists without a reason.
You put it to test, you fail. You cannot show the faith but you can certainly have one.
Hence, it is said to always “have faith” or to “keep faith”.
The more faith you have, the more hopes grow. The more hopes grow, the more optimism flows. The more optimism flows, the more confidence grows........so.....
Have faith in goodness and the good will soon follow.
Have faith in abundance and the riches will soon follow.

Chasing Pessimists Away
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Those who look for troubles got them carried in a bag,
'Cause...
They would rather carry all their troubles that they've had.
Carrying their troubles seeking more of them to nab.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Being optimistic is a feeling that could last.
Those who look for troubles got them carried in a bag,
'Cause...
They would rather carry all their troubles that they've had.
And carrying their troubles seeking more of them to nab.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Being optimistic is a feeling that could last.
And being optimistic makes those pessimists mad.
And chasing pessimists away should make somebody glad.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
And being optimistic is much better than the bad.
Being optimistic makes a better day had.
Being optimistic makes a better day had.

Back On The Streets
Ive been told in the name of something
Ive got to know what it means to play the game
Too many faces around theyre talking
They play their parts oh, so well but whos to blame
Back on the streets, thats where we are
Building a fortress of power, yeah! were coming
You know better than me the rules are:
Getting better or fat in the mania
Its good to know who is who in our game
The speed is faster, its harder to see where we are
Back on the streets. . .
Please mister know-how just bring me the news
Im waiting so long for you telling me all you can tell
Theres one thing about you, youre dying to prove
The master plan is yours and living with knowledge is hell
Back on the streets. . .

Go To Hell
Now if your mind lies in the Devil's workshop
And evil duens your thrill
And trouble and mischief is all you live for
You know darn well
That you'll go to hell
So you're living high and mighty
Rich off the fat of the land
Just don't dispose of your natural soul
'cos you know darn well
That you'll go to hell
I say hell
Where your natural soul burns
Hell
Where you pay for your sins
Hell
Keep your children from wrongdoing
'cos you know darn well
That they'll go to hell.
I say hell
Man, woman were created
Hell
To live for eternity
Hell
With an apple they ate from the tree of hate
So you know darn well
That they went to hell
Now Satan was an angel in heaven
But he stirred up trouble and woe
So the LORD commanded that the Devil be branded
So you know darn well
He went to hell
Yeah, he went to hell
Yeah, he went to hell
He went to hell.

Burning Hell
Women got legs, men got pants
I got the picnic, you got the ants,
Put it in the fire heaven knows
Take my torch and touch your toes in hell
Its a burning hell
You can burn in hell
Its a burning hell
You can burn in hell
Its a burning hell
Women dont fret, boys dont bet
Let me see your silhouette in hell
Women above me take my love
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love
Its a burning hell
Its a burning hell
Baby, baby, baby, Im hell
Its a burning hell
Girl stop moving, boy behave
Baby, Ill put you in an early grave in hell
Love on the ceiling, love on the floor
Im gonna leave you burning for more
Burn in the country, burn downtown
All the best people are burning down in hell, hell, ah hell
Its a burning hell
Youll burn in hell
Its a big, burning, giant, colossal matter
Hell
Oh baby, Im hell
Burn, burn, burn!

No one knows toward what center human things are going to gravitate in the near future, and hence the life of the world has become scandalously provisional. Everything that today is done in public and in private — even in one's inner conscience — is provisional, the only exception being certain portions of certain sciences. He will be a wise man who puts no trust in all that is proclaimed, upheld, essayed, and lauded at the present day. All that will disappear as quickly as it came. All of it, from the mania for physical sports (the mania, not the sports themselves) to political violence; from "new art" to sun-baths at idiotic fashionable watering-places. Nothing of all that has any roots; it is all pure invention, in the bad sense of the word, which makes it equivalent to fickle caprice. It is not a creation based on the solid substratum of life; it is not a genuine impulse or need. In a word, from the point of view of life it is false. We are in presence of the contradiction of a style of living which cultivates sincerity and is at the same time a fraud. There is truth only in an existence which feels its acts as irrevocably necessary.
