One can't give a grasshopper to a child if one has not caught it yet.

tiny roots of wisdom
to perceive her reality

from grass blade to blade
see how high I can jump
see how far I can jump

so jump blindly grasshopper
learn own leap life lessons

The grasshopper is dear to the grasshopper, the ant loves the ant.
Mishap
Twinkling stars belong to the mysterious sky
and a grasshopper cannot fly so high.
Star cries for the misfit
and the grasshopper collects the dew drops
along the lawn in the mist.

Monday's Child is Ill
Monday's child is ill, I'm told.
Tuesday's child has caught a cold.
Wednesday's child is down with the flu.
Thursday's child is feeling blue.
Friday's child can't eat any food.
Saturday's child is in a foul mood.
And the child that's born on the seventh day
Is the only child that feels okay.

Hop Through Life
The wind blew it there!
But hope to the end and,
Hop through life like the grasshopper.
Quizzical,
Quisling,
Jones, bones, stones, cones, tones, pones, hones, zones, ones, phones;
But, hop through life like the grasshopper.

Give your child a Heart.
Give your child a heart, Oh, Mother
Give your child a heart.
Heart that makes them kind
Oh, Mother, heart that rules the mind.
Give your child a heart, Oh, Mother
Give your child a heart.
Heart that makes them wise
Oh, Mother, heart that fights the vice.
Give your child a heart, Oh, Mother
Give your child a heart.
Heart that tells them to care
Oh, Mother, heart that tells them to share.
Give your child a heart, Oh, Mother
Give your child a heart.
Heart that nourishes the hurt
Oh, Mother, heart that consoles the heart.

Caught
As a child,
I remember the first time...
Playing hide-and-seek.
Peeking to duck.
That's all I knew to do.
I didn't want to be the one caught.
I thought my hiding places could not be seen.
With a thinking everything I said,
And where I could be would be believed.
I was a child and a child occupied my head.
And I would lie as I hid from others to hide.
But as a child I had no idea,
My attempts to fool and deceive...
Others much older than me already did.
It was as if I had been a plate of unclouded glass.
Hiding.
But everywhere I sought to hide...
Eventually I was caught.
I thought my hiding places could not be seen.
With a thinking everything I said,
And where I could be would be believed.
Until it dawned on me when I got older...
I was no longer a child seeking hiding places sought.
And I grew tired of that as I matured.
Tired I grew...
Of getting caught.

The Grasshopper
Grasshopper
grasshopper
all day long
we hear your scraping
summer song
like
rusty
fiddles
in
the
grass
as through
the meadow
path
we pass
such funny legs
such funny feet
and how we wonder
what you eat
maybe a single blink of dew
sipped from a clover leaf would do
then high in air
once more you spring
to fall in grass again
and sing.

Tell Me Child
Little one
Sweet child
Play me a song
Let it fill me up
Let it bring me joy
Tell me how to sing along
Tell me how to dance
Tiny one
Lovely child
Give me a game
Let it make me laugh
Let it give me hope
Tell me how to be young
Tell me how to live
Small one
Good child
Give me a day
Let me have a life like yours
Let me follow in your ways
Tell me how to dream
Tell me how to love
Because dear child
In this big bad world
It’s so easy to forget

Broken child
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who has seen more than his young eyes should.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who would run away from it all if he could.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who has been ravished by the likes of you and I.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child with to much pride to cry.
I see the face off a broken child.
a child who fights off anyone who cares.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who wishes his mother was there.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who wont let his hardships keep him down.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who refuses to give up and reveal a frown.

Please do not cut the green grass!
I am the grass; I cover all.
-Carl Sandburg
'They cut the grass their children to run
And where do I play with my little ones? '
The old Grasshopper Father cries.
'Please do not cut the grass
As your children have enough parks to run,
It's a sin that Lawnmower cuts not only the grass?
Thin necks of our whole nation too! '
The old Grasshopper Mother shouts.

Lullaby
(duncan)
I give you stars and sunshine
A rainbow at your feet each time you rise
So dry your eyes
The house of yesterday is crumblin at my feet
But I dont mind, I had my time
I am but yesterday
And you my child, tomorrow
Theres nothing I can give you
For you have more than me
You are the truth within your youth
I watch you dance and playing
The little prince of all that you survey
Each night, each day
I am the good old days,
And you my child, tomorrow
If I have any future
It is within your eyes
Each time you smile
My child, my child
The hand of life will rock you
I brought you forth
And then my task was through
I give to you
This wondrous view
I am but yesterday
And you my child, tomorrow
And you my child, tomorrow
And you my child, tomorrow

Legendary Child
I tell you what Im talkin about
Remember not too long ago
I was down and out of luck
I was out to do the dirty deed and didnt give a f...
And then she caught my eye
The girl was lookin fresh
And what was underneath it all
Was passion in the flesh
If you think you see the devils horns
Baby youre so right
cause I been lookin for an outside fix
To make my insides right
Your reputation tells it all
I see the writing on the wall
O yea as far as I can see
There is a God cause he sent me
A legendary child
I think that what Im tryin to say is
Just one look knocked me out
She smiled at me and said
Aa what I need I think its love
Aa give it up is what she said
Aa give it up and gimme head
Im a legendary lover
And tonight you wont regret
Ill give you legendary lovin that you never will forget
And if you want to play with fire, baby nows the time
Yea cause you never taste honey thats as sweet as wine
We played the game of tongue n cheek
And loved until our knees got weak
Had so much class that queen of sleeze
And rumor has it shes a

I Am Your Child
Released on the japanese version of euphoria.
Was it something I did
Was it something I said
Was the vision you had
Just a voice in your head
Can you run through the flames
Can you see through the haze
Is this the end of your world
Or just one of your days
Ive yet to taste it on my tongue
I get so dangerous on my own
I am your child, the one you need
The love you crave, the mouth you feed
The more you give, the more I take
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
Would you call it untrue
Would you call it a sin
With the burden of proof
Breathing under my skin
Like a ghost from the past
Im the face in the crowd
And the name that you scream
When youre dreaming out loud
Ive yet to taste it on my tongue
I get so dangerous on my own
I am your child, the one you need
The love you crave, the mouth you feed
The more you give, the more I take
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
Ive yet to taste it on my tongue
I get so dangerous on my own
I am your child, the one you need
The love you crave, the mouth you feed
The more you give, the more I take
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
I am your child, the one you need
The love you crave, the mouth you feed
The more you give, the more I take
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
I am your child, I could be your last mistake
I am your child, I could be your last mistake

Joy jumps heart to heart
Joy jumps heart to heart
From heart to heart
like a grasshopper.
But all I need do is but hover
over zenith green-tips of dew.
All I need do' is but dance
above His skies grey purlieu
to feel His rainbows lance
and not feel blue.
All I need do' is but touch wings
with His mirror-ball awnings
His unworldly, light!
'Then learn heaven is truly Bright.
All I need learn is to be still…
Like a grasshopper
He can but net at will…
Clasp in His palms prayer…
Our sinful souls free of sin forever.

Crossfire
Julies sick and tired of her job nall the reasons lately
She took it out on God and laid her soul to hell and let the baby die
Julies child was born without a need or a reason for being
She took it as a message from a real and a distant life
Shirley gets to help her with the child though
Shes strung out on crack time
Shirley never knew what it was to be held in real love
Together getting high to get to mess up their night
Anything to get up so theyre losing their mind
Just to get high, breking out from this life, gotta get them a drug to get
Higher
Julie gets to walking out and drags the child, says come on
How well walk in the dark of the morning
Cars screaming round the corner, drugged to heaven,
Guns are loaded,
Locked in vengeance
Who shoots the child?
Watching in the ghetto is the spine and the cruel of the gang life
Sign language of the get go you get in the gang life
Fear the only law, fear is all we hear about,
Feed us in the raw, fear is all we fear about
Listen, get up, quickly get up, get up
Its the answer to punishment given you
Dont give us reasons,
Caught in the crossfire dying
God give us reasons,
Dont give a reason, God give a reason
Why lay dead a childs life?
