Color of Money
Money
rules the power
rules the politicians
rules the dictators
money was colorful
when discovered
with exchange of trade
- money was for sharing
- money was for caring
now
money is for terror
money is for horror
money is for killing
money is for ruling
slowly slowly
money is losing all its colors
getting blacker and blacker
getting darker and darker
losing all its shine and glory.

Pot, your bottom is black. ""Yours is blacker than me.""

A malicious man is like a coal sack -- black on the outside and even blacker inside.
Porcupine
Come on, come on and tell me girl
Did you believe it's true
When I was here and waiting girl?
When I was here with you?
All the blood starts pumpin'
Can't you see? Yeah...
Get out, get out and get some sun
'Cause you be turnin' pale
Now that you see I'm in your face
Blacker than blacker shale
All the blood starts pumpin'
Can't you see?
It's a long long time
Since we fell behind
If you'd spend some time with me
I wanna be with you
All the blood starts pumpin'
Can't you see?
It's a long long time
Since we fell behind
If you'd spend some time with me
I wanna be with you

To me, the black black woman is our essential mother, the blacker she is the more us she is and to see the hatred that is turned on her is enough to make me despair, almost entirely, of our future as a people.

Everybody Tells Me Everything
I find it very difficult to enthuse
Over the current news.
Just when you think that at least the outlook is so black that it can grow no blacker, it worsens,
And that is why I do not like the news, because there has never been an era when so many things were going so right for so many of the wrong persons.

Did I Tell You That I Have Goiter?
it was accidentally discovered
when my arms felt numb
i have two nodules inside my neck
and still at 2 cm.
i am hyperactive, and i will be more of an
insomniac, so please understand
that i will be writing more senseless poems,
my therapy, but you may not read them,
it is alright.
i can manage my nights without you.
i am a wizard, an owl, i will be blacker than the night.
without you.

Two Principal Emotions
Fear and love, are principal emotions
Lesser ones from these opposite two
Fear’s blacker than the deepest ocean
Love’s where soul seeks a rendezvous

Were winter fires swept
Were winter fires swept, burnt the veldt to ashes
and left it blacker than the night
green grass, bright early wild flowers
are sprouting after the first showers
poised on long stems
in colours of white, purple and pink.

Fear the Stomach
Fear has special occasion to laugh and tickle
Inside the stomach and where it hurts.
The rebellious tanks are spread with butter,
Hairy and hello I say to them.
The trigger is pressed when they are nearby.
The guns have been blacker and with more colour
Since even and odd numbers exist.
Burn the soldiers who live again,
Who learn of another man or woman.

Monument
A pithy moon
climbs
on a skull
to unmask the alien,
blacker than coal.
A pregnancy reduction
was needed
to prune out
the motor plan of the moving
target, who had-
a neural circuitry
for obstructing
the light. Can you
transcend a prude who will not
accept a celibate?
Not so sad, a beautiful face
abandons the darkness.

An Announcement
he has
an announcement
to make
he has one
thing to say
lady justice
is still working
in his country
even without
the cooperation
of the majority
of those
whose robes
remain
blacker than
ever
the people
have not spoken
yet
but there is
rejoicing
from their
hearts
the need to walk
in the streets
is dispensed with
the cheat and
the liar
the corrupt
and the
dishonest
has finally
fallen
'bad karma!
bad karma! '
the islands are
shouting
the sea is calm
the night is cold
joy is jumping

Blending With The Sky Again
clouds colored black
Rising from the earth
Floating on red skies
The sun Is gray
Rectangular to the
Earth shaped like
An ovum
A splash in the sea
Like an inverted comma
He is Icarus
He just drowned
They do not think
It is me
The sea is not green
It is blacker than black
I am trying to be
Off-white for you
To see.
But you can’t
You did not try
Thinking hard enough.
You have no time
For this
For me
Or anything else.
Sometimes I think
I should have
Grown myself
As the suicide bomber
And then explode
Inside you.
Perhaps you
Will notice me
Finally.
My
Color must not
Be red.
I may
Blend with the
Red sky again.

Earth’s Story
Earth changes according to times,
Its canopy beckons on these surroundings.
Air is like water and all gas,
Filling my stomach and lungs with living matter.
The mass of this story is heavier than the world
And all its glory, the glorious world is above.
A black abyss shines golden when so blacker,
Letting my eyes snatch my woman and child.
The changing and sorting blesses us with triumph
As this divine planet revolves many times so far.

The Desecraters
Witness all: that unrepenting,
Feathers flying, music high,
I go down to death unshaken
By your mean philosophy.
For your wages, take my body,
That at least to you I leave;
Set the sulky plumes upon it,
Bid the grinning mummers grieve.
Stand in silence: steep your raiment
In the night that hath no star;
Don the mortal dress of devils,
Blacker than their spirits are.
Since ye may not, of your mercy,
Ere I lie on such a hearse,
Hurl me to the living jackals
God hath built for sepulchres.

The wizard
Some might call it a laboratory,
to others a place of unclear science
but to me it’s a place of trickery
looking like a kind of factory
where a little man with vast experience
studies a old tome, a mystic book of his trade
with sketches and funny arithmetic, all hand made
and his fingers write arcane signs
in neat little lines
and I see nothing really gruesome
but an awful power is set in his deep eyes,
blacker than the night sky, than the darkest dye:
looking as that of someone, that has viewed the beyond
with a secret incorporeal bond, sizzling with unknown energy.

Gods of the East
Because I sought it far from men,
In deserts and alone,
I found it burning overhead,
The jewel of a Throne.
Because I sought--I sought it so
And spent my days to find--
It blazed one moment ere it left
The blacker night behind.
We be the Gods of the East--
Older than all--
Masters of Mourning and Feast--
How shall we fall?
* * * * *
This I saw when the rites were done,
And the lamps were dead and the Gods alone,
And the grey snake coiled on the altar stone--
Ere I fled from a Fear that I could not see,
And the Gods of the East made mouths at me.
