None has more frequent conversations with a disagreeable self than the man of pleasure; his enthusiasms are but few and transient; his appetites, like angry creditors, are continually making fruitless demands for what he is unable to pay; and the greater his former pleasures, the more strong his regret, the more impatient his expectations. A life of pleasure is, therefore, the most unpleasing life.

Happier Will Be This Voyage
Why is it,
When someone embraces another...
And accepts their blemishes, flaws
Funky moody attitudes...
And total disrespect sometimes,
They begin to think...
You are the one that is crazed?
And tell others that you are.
And then begin campaigns,
They do...
To tell others anything but the truth.
With a giving of opinions to those unfamiliar,
As to how it is you have become upset with them...
When you have expressed,
With clarity...
Where and when they can get off your last nerve.
Because you have had it!
With No 'ifs' nor 'ands' or stuttered 'buts'.
That's it.
You have given up!
And that goodwill train,
They've become accustomed to riding...
Is finally coming for them to an end.
'You shouldn't be impatient like that! '
~Impatient?
IMPATIENT?
I've known those folks for well over 35yrs.
I am saving 'my' sanity.
That's what this is all about!
And...
If they have already done this to me?
That's great.
Then happier will be this voyage.~

All Of My Creditors Want To Get Paid
This just dawned on me,
During a coincidental occurrence.
While during my daily walk.
And...
As is my custom,
Minding my own business.
I processed this while thinking...
How the words 'maybe' and 'if'...
Are interpretations of 'yes'.
Think about it!
How many times have you uttered,
Either a 'maybe' or 'if'?
To something you were prepared to say 'no' to.
And you believed yourself to have full consciousness.
'Gee...
I wish I could,
But...'
~Oh...
So you are saying,
You'd like to have a benefit revealed? ~
'Well...
Not exactly.
I see the benefit.
'MAYBE' or 'IF'...'
SOLD!
Forget it.
No need to resist.
Your 'maybe' or 'if'...
Began to make accomodating arrangements,
In your mind.
Somewhere to make,
Your decision 'fit'.
On the wall.
Or somewhere for it to sit!
Find sometime alone,
To convince 'yourself'...
You have not been had!
Then...
Drink a cup of tea.
Deciding which one of your creditors...
Will believe,
You were on your way to pay your bills...
When a wide screened TV,
Had your name on it!
And a salesman hypnotized you.
Leaving you without a cent in your pockets.
And you did realize this...
Until you got home,
Waiting...
For the delivery people!
Go ahead...
Use that excuse!
It sounds good to me.
Although,
All of my creditors want to get paid.
And hopefully...
One day they will!

Another Economic Riddle
I venerate economists
As very learned blokes,
But when in paradox they speak
Their meaning oft I vainly seek,
Suspecting subtle jokes.
They say the whole world's down and out;
But here's what I can't see:
If every land, beyond all doubt,
In all the world is up the spout -
Then who's the mortgagee?
Do we owe money in the moon,
Or some celestial land?
Or have we creditors in Mars,
Or other fixed and unfixed stars,
Who hold our notes of hand?
If not, why all the fuss and fret?
I've conned it o'er and o'er,
And find no clear solution yet.
If all the earth is deep in debt,
Who is the creditor?
When men go into bankruptcy
The case is plain as day:
What is not in the dear wife's name
Grim creditors will promptly claim,
And assets melt away.
But when a whole wide world's in soak
And cannot raise the tin,
Here's where I half suspect a joke:
When all the earth goes stoney broke,
Who puts the bailiffs in?

The impatient hours
The impatient hours
~
The drumming of fingers
The ticking of the clock
Loudly fill the impatient hours
Wasteful in their emptiness
Surely there must be something better
But the wait continues anyway
Waiting on a promise to come good
Hoping its not like past promises
Which all became just lies
Paranoia stalks the mind
Reminding of the past disappointments
Why should this one be any different
Why wait in stale confines
When you could leave, walk away
Forget the promise in an instant
The drumming of fingers
The ticking of the clock
Grow ever louder
Counting each possible outcome
The promise bares fruit
Or becomes another lie
Still waiting on the realisation
In the impatient hours
Wasting the day into nothing

Better Use
You may never have respect for me...
Now or the rest of your entire life.
And my concerns about that
are just what they are,
right now.
No bill in my name do you have to pay.
Yesterday, today or tomorrow.
And with that said...
You could forever go away.
My creditors will not know the difference.
And neither will I.
God has decided,
There something He has given.
And with this gift,
I could put to better use.

We Need Cash And Not Your Lip
You may not have a clue,
Or be conscious of it.
You may accept it as a part of life,
Existing.
Spending as if there is not end to it.
Until a limit has been reached,
With a lesson to begin...
Taught to you as one to teach.
You believed you were equal.
Sharing 'perks' and benefits.
But when your pockets emptied...
Quick,
Your credit also split!
You believed you were equal.
Sharing 'perks' and benefits.
You believed you were equal.
But when your pockets emptied...
Quick,
Your credit also split!
You once felt equal.
You may not have a clue,
Or be conscious of it.
You may accept it as a part of life,
Existing.
Spending as if there is no end to it.
Until your limit has been reached,
With a lesson to begin...
Taught to you as one to teach.
And then you call your creditors...
Who say to you we need some cash,
And not a promise of it!
It's needed now.
And needed fast!
You believed you were equal.
Sharing 'perks' and benefits.
You believed you were equal.
But when your pockets emptied quick...
You called your creditors who say,
They need the cash and not your lip.
You believed you were equal.
Sharing 'perks' and benefits.
You believed you were equal.
But when your pockets emptied quick...
You called your creditors who say,
They need the cash and not your lip.
'Pay up!
We need cash and not your lip.
Pay up!
We need cash and not your lip.
Pay up! '

Every American born today owes $43,000 to the federal government the day she or he is born. And we are transferring a tremendous amount of debt to the new generation, much of it owed to overseas creditors who expect to be repaid by our children with interest.
My Useless Foolishness
Explicit are the thoughts I get,
When alone and thinking...
What it was I let slip,
From my impatient...
And youthful fingers.
And now I sit with these memories,
Aged by a maturity...
I wish I had then,
When a past so clearly reflects...
My useless foolishness.
So much I today miss,
That can not be in circumspect corrected.
So much I today miss,
Has affected my current and welcomed,
Patience.
Explicit are the thoughts I get,
When alone and thinking...
What it was I let slip,
From my impatient...
And youthful fingers.

Shakespeare's Sister
Chidinma, she's Shakespeare's sister
For she also has the beauty of Juliet.
She shines more than a rising star
Gave light to my dark;
And brought love back to my heart.
Wonder if I could beat Paris in a duel,
And give her a ride to the sky,
Fairy creatures on our every side.
Romeo was too impatient,
Suicidal was no option for Juliet,
And the families now they are reconciled
Too late did they realised there's nothing
to be gained from the fight.
Let us kill the feud early enough,
And allow our children live happilly in love,
For Romeo was too impatient
And suicidal was no option for Juliet.

Poverty In A Modern World
An egotistical backlog
of creditors
waiting in line
Waiting
to take the cloths
off your back
and the skin
off your bones
All to make money
and to make you broke
while the politicians
they got into power
laugh and smirk

Stressed To Their Mental Limits
No matter what the showing of proof may be,
There are still many believing...
They live a way of life envied by others.
But very few seem envious of those,
Living day to day on leases and loans...
While being indebted to creditors.
Even those teased and ridiculed,
For having nothing to impress...
Sleep peacefully and appear to be rested,
Than those claiming to have everything...
Yet appear and seem to be medicated,
To avoid being stressed to their mental limits.
