My Kool-Aid Made
Some prefer ice tea.
A Pepsi or their Coke.
Or maybe just Spring water,
To minimize their thirsts.
Some pray for a breeze,
When sweat drips from their brows.
But with Kool-Aid made I make,
I don't mind these 'dog days' few allow.
My Kool-Aid made,
Tastes more like fresh lemonaide.
With concentrated lemon to add flavor.
The Summer August heat,
Spiced with humidity depletes and beats...
But a pick up with my Kool-Aid saves,
The ones who labor.
My Kool-Aid made tastes more like fresh lemonaide.
Here,
Try a sip.
With concentrated lemon to add flavor.
Oh.Oh.
And the Summer August heat,
Yeah!
Spiced with humidity isn't sweet.
And my Kool-Aid made,
Picks up those who labor.
Oh.Oh.
The Summer August heat,
Yeah!
Spiced with humidity isn't sweet.
And my Kool-Aid made,
Picks up those who labor.
My Kool-Aid made tastes more like fresh lemonaide.
With a 'fruit smack'.
And adding my own lemon to the flavor.
Oh.Oh.
The Summer August heat,
Yeah!
Spiced with humidity isn't sweet.
And my Kool-Aid made,
Picks up those who labor.
Note:
My gratitude extended to Edward Perkins and wife Kitty...
Who, in 1927, invented Kool-Aid in Hastings, Nebraska.
Those six original flavors then were strawberry, cherry, lemon-lime, grape
orange and raspberry.
The predecessor was a liquid concentrate
called Fruit Smack!

Georgia Country Store
Mama said she saw you-
At the general Store-
Said you came swinin' through-
That ole dusty screen door.
Fireflys and gadflys following.
Filling a handbasket with-
Apricot preserves and bakery biscuits-
A dozen eggs and a handful of grits.
You hurried, mama said-
Back into the heat drenched afternoon.
Humidity of early Georgia swelter.
Your footsteps home melted the concrete walkway.
Flower's and weed's withering-
Dying of the semi-drought-
Sorta like jelly beans melting upon the kids-
On Sundays after church when everyone -
Was dressed Sunday best but soaked all about-
For a hot Fellowship meal but the thick air always won out!
All that survived were the Magnolia tree's.
They like the humidity and rain.
But could survive-
If the humidity was as heavy as a warm summer
Sprinkle -On the Stores window pane!

Hot! Like a Heat Hot Drops
Hot!
Like a heat hot.
These past few days,
In the first week of July 2010...
With humidity high.
Sweltering the air and wetting the skin.
Not a part of the body remains dry outside.
And usually it is the month of August,
That simmers in New England...
With an egg on rocks to fry.
Hot!
Like a heat hot drops,
Moisture undenied.
Cooling to dry has to be done inside.
Unless one is among the unfortunate.
With a crying done that goes undetected.
Since tears from the eyes go unrecognized.
Hot!
Like a heat hot,
Drops.
As temperatures soar.
Dripping a salty sweat from every known pore.

These Are Not Yet the Days of Summer
Warm.
Sticky.
And thick...
With humidity!
And you?
Do you have a cool box,
To go into?
How are you enjoying your heat?
And these are not yet,
The days of Summer!

Sticky and Wet
When one runs up a heat,
No sweat drips sweet.
And salty come the comments,
With humidity peaked.
A temperature rising,
Is wished to be left alone.
A temperature rising,
Is not welcomed in one's home.
And Summer is a bummer,
When the air conditioner is gone.
Yes Summer is a bummer.
Sticky and wet,
Is not what one condones.
Yes a humid Summer,
Can be a big bummer.
When one runs up a heat,
No sweat drips sweet.
And salty come the comments,
With humidity peaked.
A temperature rising,
Is wished to be left alone.
Yes Summer is a bummer.
Sticky and wet,
Is not what one condones.
Yes a humid Summer,
Can be a big bummer.
When one runs up a heat,
No sweat drips sweet.
Yes a humid Summer,
Can be a big bummer.
When one runs up a heat,
No sweat drips sweet.
Yes a humid Summer,
Can be a big bummer.
Sticky and wet,
Is not what one condones.
And Summer is a bummer,
When the air conditioner is gone.
Sticky and wet.
Sticky and wet.
Sticky and wet...
When humidity makes one moan.
Yes a humid Summer,
Can be a big bummer.

Love & Heat
Heat has a strange affect on the human mind
Sensations are felt strongly and often undefined
It appears that temperatures are rising from within
To match the sweltering heat outside like a twin
It feels like a fever crawling slowly through veins
Spreading all over until no cool spot remains
Some people feel a rage when driving or agitation
But to me the heat feels like a welcome sedation
It appears as my senses are running in a low gear
And everything is fuzzy and I'm unsure and unclear
The heat surrounds me with a steaming outer shell
It paralyzes my reactions and invades every cell
When the humidity rises and temperatures are high
The wind feels like heat waves or a blazing drive-by
The hot breeze invades my pores and heats my heart
I can sense the blood pumping not needing a kick start
Running down my collarbone I feel a wet salty trail
And I am helpless against the reactions you prevail
In the heat of the day I like to come together real slow
Your touch silencing my thoughts and my mind I let go
When our bodies collide surrounded by vapor and steam
Making love in slow motion I perceive like a great dream
The ceiling fan cuts through thick layers of scorching heat
But our bodies are breathing together and are complete

I am a leader. Leaders always get heat. They're always going against the grain. Jimi Hendrix got heat; Bob Marley got heat; Miles Davis got heat. Every great artist got heat. Heat means you're doing something right.

Burning Heat
Burning in my heart- burning in my soul
Gotta have it more and more- hot and overloaded
Starving for some fun tonight- always dressed to kill
Dont tell me what I need- I need the thrill indeed
Dont stop me now
Ill run you over- bastard
Get out of my way
I feel mighty great
Burning heat- gets me- burning heat
Burning heat- breaks me- burning heat
Cant you see it coming- stronger than a bull
Get yourself going- youre too easy to beat
Dont forget Im strong- powerful and straight
I can take you on cause I am hard to break
Dont stop me now
Ill run you over- bastard
Get out of my way
I feel mighty great
Burning heat- gets me- burning heat
Burning heat- breaks me- burning heat
Burning heat- gets me- burning heat
Burning heat- breaks me- burning heat
Burning heat- leads me- burning heat
Burning heat- feeds me- burning heat
Burning in my heart- burning in my soul
Gotta have it more and more- hot and overloaded
Burning heat- gets me- burning heat
Burning heat- breaks me- burning heat
Burning heat- leads me- burning heat
Burning heat- feeds me- burning heat

After A Long Drought
She held my beating heart
Within her cupped hands
As the blood flowed
She felt its warmth
Her hands swelled
With the heat
The blood released
It was like a swollen cloud
Filled with rain
Pouring out
Upon the parched soil
Longing for moisture
After a long drought
The cloudburst quenched
The dry earth
And the humidity
Filled the air
The musk
Filled our nostrils
As we collapsed

Heat Of Summer, Heated Love.
Summer's heat can swelter and melt...
As summer's heat may simmer as weld.
Some summer's heat can burn as long...
This summer's heat can impel a song.
Summer's heat can cook and bake...
Summer's heat of life can take.
Boil and broil a heart so hot...
A summer's heat can break that romanceful knot.
This heat of summer can smoulder and rot.
Anger's heat, heats up my libido's furnace...
This love of summer can invoke to heart, a loving furnish.
Love of summer brings to mind, a resurgance of love...
Summer's sun may bathe one and all with heat fro' above.
Summer's heat can bring to beaches and swimming pools...
Visions of women in bikinied thongs, these things my eyes do love.

Beating The Heat With Sweet Willows Creamery Ice Cream At The Fairie Festival For Me And My Friends
At the Fairie Festival
The sun beats down on many of us
from above
It's enjoying it's time in the sky of blue
As the minutes go by
The humidity of this day continues to
ratchet up
It may be the beginning of May
But it surely feels like Summer
The nature spirits that I'm friend with
We look for some way to cool off
My friends being a fairy, water nymph,
and goddess
Walking around the Fairie Festival
Water seems to be flying off the shelves
But ice cream from Sweet Willows Creamery
certainly isn't
And so, feeling like we are and considering
the situation
We make the best decision for ourselves
We stand in line for ice cream
Ice cream from Sweet Willows Creamery
We talk with each other and deal with the heat
and humidity the best we can
For the time being right now
Soon it's our turn
And we order and pay for 4 ice cream cones
I have the Fairy Dust Cotton Candy
My friend, the water nymph has Fairy Berry Banana
Strawberry Swirl
My friend, the fairy has Maraschino Cherry mixed with
Tollhouse Cookie Dough
My friend, the goddess has Strawfairy Toadstool
We enjoy our ice cream cones
Loving the flavors we picked
And we're sure that many others who'll get ice cream
will get a similar kick
As my friends and I walk along
Enjoying our ice cream cones
The Fairie Festival commences and continues on

Hong Kong
HONG KONG
Spinning criss cross patterns as they post across the harbour,
spray kissing, barely miss each other, business to the fore,
the junks and ferries seem such toys when seen from seventh floor
or stateroom on the seventeenth, - but does it matter any more?
Does it matter, for the room is insulated from outside,
from heat and from humidity, from differences too wide
in wealth and wisdom where the West unwelcome is as bride, -
though brides are taken for a time, who doweries provide...

Humidity Built The Snowman
Does he still think about her
Why there was never really any doubt
Every time he lights a candle
Or blows a candle out
The scientific nature of the ordinary man
Is to go on out and do the best you can
I dont think that you know
That I think you dont know
That old barometer goes crazy baby
Every time it starts to snow
You wont find me walking
Round your part of town
Humidity built the snowman
Sunshine brought him down
This world is full of people
They never seem to fall
Somebody said they seen you
You hadnt changed at all
The fundamental story
Of the contemporary man
Is to walk away and someday understand
I dont think that you know
That I think you dont know
That old barometer goes crazy baby
Every time it starts to snow
You wont find me walking
Round your part of town
Humidity built the snowman
Sunshine brought him down
The scientific nature of the ordinary man
Is to go on out and do the best you can
I dont think that you know
That I think you dont know
That old barometer goes crazy baby
Every time it starts to snow
You wont find me walking
Round your part of town
Humidity built the snowman
Sunshine brought him down
Humidity built the snowman
Sunshine brought him down
Brought him down

As It Goes For The Willow
As it goes for the willow,
Stretching to bend as the wind begins...
To stop and end briefly,
The humidity and heat.
And moss on scattered trees,
Seen in savannahs tropical and green...
Seem so picturesque as if painted.
As it goes for those swamped in bills to pay...
In need of a lilting breeze to come their way.
A nature walk through the forest,
Will take a mind away to untaint...
From needless trappings of concrete beliefs,
Stuck in the mire of an attracted grief,
One uses to declare...
A normal way of life to live!
As it goes for the willow,
Flowing freely yet attached to all that is...
Without appearing to have needs to be,
Something it was not intended.

In the summer heat
In the summer heat
a dry mouth i got seeking for your lips
In the summer heat
death silence surrounds my heart beat
In the summer heat
a song of love i whistle just for you
In the summer heat
i let my hopes to see the sun
In the summer heat
i see your eyes like never before
sparkling in the sun
calling to be adored again
by your crazy poet.

Born Under Punches
Take a look at these hands.
Take a look at these hands.
The hand speaks. the hand of a government man.
Well Im a tumbler. born under punches.
Im so thin.
All I want is to breathe Im too thin
Wont you breathe with me?
Find a little space, so we can move in-between in-between it
And keep on step ahead, of yourself.
Dont you miss it, dont you miss it.
Some a you people just about missed it!
Last time to make plans!
Well Im a tumbler...
Im a government man.
Never seen anything like that before
Falling bodies tuble cross the floor well Im a tumbler!
When you get to where you wanna be thank you! thank you!
When you get to where you wanna be dont even mention it!
Take a look at these hands. theyre passing in-between us.
Take a look at these hands
Take a look at these hands. you dont have to mention it.
No thanks. Im a government man.
And the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...
And the heat goes on...where the hand has been...and the heat goes
On...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes
On...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes
On...where the hand has been...and the heat goes on...and the heat
Goes on...
Im not a drowning man!
And Im not a burning building! (Im a tumbler!)
Drowning cannot hurt a man!
Fire cannot hurt a man. (not the government man.)
All I want is to breathe thank you. thank you
Wont you breathe with me?
Find a little space...so we move in-between Im so thin
And keep one step ahead of yourself. Im catching up with myself
All I want it to breathe
Wont you breathe with me hands of a government man
Find a little space so we move in-between
And keep one step ahead of yourself. dont you miss it! dont you
Miss it!
And the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...
And the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...
And the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes on...
Where the hands has been...and the heat goes on...and the heat goes
On...and the heat goes on...

Heat Wave
Were having a heat wave,
A tropical heat wave,
The temperatures rising,
It isnt surprising,
She certainly can can-can.
She started a heat wave
By letting her seat wave
In such a way that
The customers say that
She certainly can can-can.
Gee, her anatomy
Makes the mercury
Jump to ninety-three.
Were having a heat wave,
A tropical heat wave,
The way that she moves
That thermometer proves
That she certainly can can-can.
