Affectation is a greater enemy to the face than smallpox.
I hope that some day the practice of producing cowpox in human beings will spread over the world - when that day comes, there will be no more smallpox.

Measles and TB evolved from diseases of our cattle, influenza from a disease of pigs, and smallpox possibly from a disease of camels. The Americas had very few native domesticated animal species from which humans could acquire such diseases.

Discovers' Day October 8,2007
Who?
Just who
authorized
the printer of my
wall calender
to remove Columbus
replacing him with
Discovers' Day?
Who, just who?
When I bought the calender
sure I did not read the fine print.
Didn't think I needed to.
Is it because he and his men
may have brought
smallpox and syphilis
and based on where they landed
didn't really
discover America?
In fact they missed
what they were
sailing for.
It was a shorter route
to the East Indies;
missed by several thousand miles.
We've know this for a long time.
Why take him off
my calender now?
What about the parades-
The Columbus Day Sales-
Am I still going to get 20% off?
No mail today.
Federal employees
Got the day off.
Maybe it's not
Such a big thing?
Do only I miss Columbus?

Doctor, Doctor
Doctor, theres something wrong with me
My health is not all that it used to be
My heart is out of beat, I got chokers on my feet
My eyesights getting dimmer, I cant see
Doctor thanks for seeing me today, Im glad,
Ive got every sickness there is to be had
I had whooping cough last month
And today Ive got the mumps
And tomorrow Ill catch chicken pox as well.
Doctor doctor doctor make me well
Ive not got long to go now I can tell
Doctor doctor doctor make me well
Ive not got long to go I can tell
Ive not got long to go I can tell
Those pills I took have no effect at all
Just the other day I had a nasty fall
And I think I broke my jaw when it hit the kitchen floor
And Im shrinking last week I was five foot four
Ive been getting shivers lately, is it flu?
I know the bug is going round, what can I do?
Its about to pick on me, Ive still got the other three
Do you think I caught smallpox Id get flu?
[chorus]
Do you think its time that I made out my will?
Ill leave everything to you to pay my bill
Just how long is there to go
Please tell me I want to know
But on second thoughts dont tell me, Im too ill.

Puzzles
Immense is God's love for men that
He not only keeps them companied
But amused and entertained
Through his ubiquitous
Puzzle games intricately
worked out for them
..in the sky, in the oceans,
In the mountains.... everywhere
If only they care to seek them out.
To boost their enthusiasm
In this mind racking tournament,
A rich reward awaits
Each puzzle solved
As can be seen from
Watt's answer to his rattling kettle
That won us the locomotive
Or Jenner's answer to the
Uninfected dairymaids that
Won us the vaccine for smallpox
Or Fleming's answer to the growth
On his petri dishes that
Won us the penicilin
Or Einstein's answer to
The mechanics of space
That won us the
Theory of relativity
Enlightening us much about
speed, time, light and distance
And the possibility of space travel.
Wonder who will solve the ultimate
Puzzle, death, which will win
For each of us a permanent place
In this world!

Rhapsody on a Windy Night
Twelve o'clock.
Along the reaches of the street
Held in a lunar synthesis,
Whispering lunar incantations
Dissolve the floors of memory
And all its clear relations,
Its divisions and precisions,
Every street lamp that I pass
Beats like a fatalistic drum,
And through the spaces of the dark
Midnight shakes the memory
As a madman shakes a dead geranium.
Half-past one,
The street lamp sputtered,
The street lamp muttered,
The street lamp said, "Regard that woman
Who hesitates towards you in the light of the door
Which opens on her like a grin.
You see the border of her dress
Is torn and stained with sand,
And you see the corner of her eye
Twists like a crooked pin."
The memory throws up high and dry
A crowd of twisted things;
A twisted branch upon the beach
Eaten smooth, and polished
As if the world gave up
The secret of its skeleton,
Stiff and white.
A broken spring in a factory yard,
Rust that clings to the form that the strength has left
Hard and curled and ready to snap.
Half-past two,
The street lamp said,
"Remark the cat which flattens itself in the gutter,
Slips out its tongue
And devours a morsel of rancid butter."
So the hand of a child, automatic,
Slipped out and pocketed a toy that was running along the quay.
I could see nothing behind that child's eye.
I have seen eyes in the street
Trying to peer through lighted shutters,
And a crab one afternoon in a pool,
An old crab with barnacles on his back,
Gripped the end of a stick which I held him.
Half-past three,
The lamp sputtered,
The lamp muttered in the dark.
The lamp hummed:
"Regard the moon,
La lune ne garde aucune rancune,
She winks a feeble eye,
She smiles into corners.
She smoothes the hair of the grass.
The moon has lost her memory.
A washed-out smallpox cracks her face,
Her hand twists a paper rose,
That smells of dust and old Cologne,
She is alone
With all the old nocturnal smells
That cross and cross across her brain."
The reminiscence comes
Of sunless dry geraniums
And dust in crevices,
Smells of chestnuts in the streets,
And female smells in shuttered rooms,
And cigarettes in corridors
And cocktail smells in bars."
The lamp said,
"Four o'clock,
Here is the number on the door.
Memory!
You have the key,
The little lamp spreads a ring on the stair,
Mount.
The bed is open; the tooth-brush hangs on the wall,
Put your shoes at the door, sleep, prepare for life."
The last twist of the knife.

My version of Ginsberg's America.
Against the filthy politics found in America and against the actions of it's dispicable governments.
America tell Coloumbus to fook off, take his smallpox and Capitalism with him.
America, you've swallowed your national mythology like pancakes and syrup.
America, Land where eugenics was tried
America, Land where the native americans cried
America, Land where warmongering thrives
America, you think you're the world police.
America, you were duped by a Christian to believe he's the prince of peace and now a black man convinces you the same.
America, your obsession with religion is insane.
America, I hope your guilt drives you to suicide, having to stare into the eyes of the children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
America, I hope the masterminds of the Manhattan Project are suffering like they should.
America, your dream is as fake as Hollywood.
America, what the hell happened in Zuccotti Park?
America, you actually have a exhibition dedicated to Noah's ark?
America, where is this democracy you're trying to spread?
America, why won't you let the poor be fed?
America, you lead the west in destroying the world and waging war.
America land of MKULTRA and CO-INTELPRO
America land of Glenn beck, Neo-cons, where gay marriage is a 'no no'.
America, you're no city on the hill.
America, you're the home of the corporate shill.
America, you're oil addiction has make the globe ill.
America, your tv channels still project cold war closed minds.
America, how is it that slaves built the white house?
America, what exactly did you mean by 'All men are born free and equal'? Terms and conditions apply?
America, what are you doing to right past wrongs?
America, where's your concern for the Navajo?
America, I would've fought with Geronimo.
America, I think you've forgotten the Treaty of Fort Laramie.
America, Pay back in blood those killed at Wounded Knee.
America, you lied about Pine Ridge and the FBI really killed Annie Mae.
America, massacring to the tune of a million dollars to catch a single man.
America, which small country will you invade next? America, I can see your eyeing up Iran.
America, You wouldn't want what happened in Diego Garcia to happen to you.
America you know a thing or two about Coup
America Bikini Atoll is still ailing.
America, Love Canal is ruined.
America, I love the Wobblies.
America, The city of Chicago can built statues but it really just needs to apologize.
America, you've poisioned us all.
America, Land of Bush, of agent orange and Monsanto
America, Trainers of the Taliban, guards of Guantanamo
America, Land where the poor are shushed
America, Land where environmental decay is pushed
America, Land where they pollute the air
America, Invade the world and don't seem to care.
America, Land where the Mexican hides in slums for a meagre sum.
America, Land where they strung up blacks for fun
America, Land where they worship the Gun.
America.
America, Land of government without dignity
America, Home of Jefferson's slave, Blackwater's crime,
The Red Scare
And Gulf of Mexico Oil slick slime.
America.

Every Leaf, Every Page, Every Poem, A Patch
Every leaf, every page, every poem, a patch
that's been ironed on to a leak in the mindstream
I've been watching from the stone bridge on Gore Street
while the Perth Water Tower stands astride the Tay River
like a Martian colossus out of the War of the Worlds,
its reflection wavering like the dissipating wavelengths
of watersnakes as the moon ascends like a pearl
above the ragged willows pouring their hearts out
along the shore where a long overhanging veranda,
an iron stairwell and several backyards end at.
A commingling of poetry and prose, I've got
to walk several miles out of this sleeping town
before a Zen cowboy can take his spurs off in the wild
and wrestle his boots like sections of chimney pipe
in exchange for a pair of winged heels that can fly by night
like an autumn waterbird. Let my life flow on without me
like a spinal cord I've been hanging on to
like a rope I used to try to climb up to heaven on
like serpent fire entwined around the axis of my backbone,
on the flip side now, an anchor chain of chakras
tied to my body like a lifeboat my heart isn't in anymore.
I lament the dry paper that became of the orchids
and waterlilies, the skin of weathered women
or an aging snake that slipped out of itself like a condom.
Autumn in my earth mind, I'm consoled by the stars
gleaming through the leafless trees of my emotions.
The whole forest floor, a sodden library underfoot,
trying to get to the roots of things like etymologists
reverentially deciphering the cartouches of dynastic words
that were once as common as the Huron all through these woods
until smallpox, the Jesuit, and the decultifying schools
that savaged their magic with white, and taught them
to turn the other cheek to the dark side of the moon,
brought on an onslaught of the Iroquois who finished the job
a few beaver pelts, an arquebus, and Champlain
in a war canoe, without really wanting to, had begun.
Somehow their ghosts in the birch groves
make everything seem more human to a trespasser
that responds more like a guest at a seance
than the host of the exorcism that drove them
from their lands. The moon's not a swan
and I'm not laying traps like a snapping turtle.
Nothing heals here, but the wounds seem more manageable
and death isn't a dirty secret sequestered in a hospital.
Everything out in the open you can even
have sex with the stars and nobody's eyelashes
are going to fall off like a haystack of pine needles
that blinked once too often at what they couldn't believe
they were seeing without their death masks on.
I like the symphonic chaos of the place as life
over writes itself like wild grape vines climbing
a trellis of deer ribs like the palings on an unhinged gate.
It's really just a matter of taste what you prefer
to furnish your solitude with. I like to spend my time
in the company of things suffering the same fate I am.

Quarter Moon In Sagittarius At the Autumn Equinox
Quarter moon in Sagittarius at the autumn equinox.
The ecliptic intersects the celestial equator
at the equinoctial colure. Sagitta. Arrow in Latin.
Toxos. In classical Greek. Attic dialect. As in
toxin. Or toxologist. Archaic word for archer.
I'm a little teapot short and stout. Here
is my handle. Here is my spout. Tip me over
and pour me out. Zen is the taste of tea.
And maybe those aren't stars, but flower arrangements
at a Chanoyu ceremony with raku tea bowls,
where even the cracks where the stars leaked out
are cherished like scars on the moon. The porous face
of someone pitted by smallpox. One stone
in a sand garden of stars raked into wavelengths.
If Zen is the taste of tea, then Islam must be
the flavour of coffee. The Christians have
their blood and wine. And the Jews drink deep
of the fountainmouths of their tears by the rivers of Babylon.
Suspiciously symmetrical thought for a heretic like me,
More that of an engineer than a seer watching stars.
A dog barks at sly shadows farms and forms away.
The leaves are brittle and tense. They scratch cold runes
like glacial striations on the wind in passing.
All the waterlilies have candled like parachutes.
The willows are using a lot more hairspray than they used to
and their supple tresses now sway like arthritic rivers
that stiffen up in the damp weather. But soon
you'll see the stars shining through the veils
of their branches, and the pathos of their ruined beauty
will be renewed by the mystery of a high priestess
that taught Medusa how to dance gracefully
like Algol in the hand of Perseus, in a radiant ballet
of whips and wavelengths. The river seems
more hermetically aloof, withdrawn, removed
from itself as if some deep insight preoccupied it
and even the longing of the nightbird's lyrics
seem coarsened by hunger in the predatory air.
As for me and my house, I come here alone
where I can turn a hovel of solitude into a palace
of water and wonder and sit until the silence
grows inhuman, and nothing of me remains
but the impersonality of the universe
that's traded its feathers in for sequins and scales again.
Warm ostrich boas of pampas grass
for sleeker gowns of snakeskin.
Revelation of the burlesque for something
more alluring and dangerous. And the darkness
a northern siren calling me to the rocks like a muse
to the occult grammar of her body language.
I am Hermes Trismegistus the Thrice-Blessed.
I am Thoth who brought the alphabet.
Who only a moment ago as old as the universe
was wholly unmanifest. A fountain asleep in its watershed.
A bird with its head under its wing. Not anything.
Not one. Not two. A wide-eyed, gaping, open-mouthed
zero of an awareness that had burned my identity away
by reaching out to the stars like a thief
torching his fingerprints off like like tiny labyrinths
with search warrants effaced like moths and maple leaves in a candle.
I was out of here like the constellation of the swan
going down over the eyelashes of the western treeline.
After defaulting to the sensuality of the dark all night
who wants to wake up beside the dawn, wincing in the light?
I was out of here like Auriga, the Charioteer.
I always reveled more in the role of guide to the dead
and messenger of the mystery and its eloquence,
master of the occult visionary sciences expressing themselves
as a physics of metaphors, not numbers, the intuitive logic
of synchronized happenings in a charged particle field,
not syntactically linear paradigms that strive fruitlessly
to make things perfectly clear, as if they'd rinsed
all the nectar of life out of them and the light that was left
were the direct result and residue of spiritual erosion.
The sun can boast of the number of sunflowers
it's got for followers all it wants.
When she appears, a thousand mirrors open
like the third eyes of observatories capstoned
on cold, lonely mountain tops with only one road down or up
and all the reflecting telescopes on clock drives turn their heads her way,
affixed to the mysterious trajectory of a new moon rising in the north
in the thirteenth house of a zodiac that baffles the starmaps
with a darkness that's brighter than any of their high hopes.

Listening To The Nightsong Of The Silence
Listening to the nightsong of the silence
in a clearing in the woods that used to be
a field someone rocked and ploughed for cattle corn,
and left the crooked timbers and fieldstone foundations
of a log cabin to be swarmed by the rat snakes, their blood
as the cold comes on, slowing down into
long red wavelengths of hibernation that drives
the raccoons, the bears, and most of the locals
who can't afford migration, to dream half the winter away,
soporifically numb by the woodstove, or numb outside
from the air gnawing at their fingertips and noses
as if they were being whittled out of ice
or numbed by food, sex, alcohol, gossip and drugs
into the Land of the Lotus Eaters in the middle of an ice storm.
Chronic boredom of a white screen they'd
rather smear with something than look at nothing at all,
whether cadmium red on a blank canvas,
blood on the snow next to the hollyberries
the foxes and blue jays have been feasting on,
or the mythic inflation of their own personal offal
gone viral on an internet of a sky full of stars
spreading the rumour around. Wonder what
the drunk loggers of Burridge back in the day
when the cops were afraid to go there,
would have to say about their whiskey barrels
being sawn in half for flowerpots of flagging petunias
and forlorn coleus on the streets of Perth today.
Or me out here on my own looking
for the Orionid meteor showers where the dark
hasn't been distempered by the bottled light of the town.
After thirty-five years of living among these woods and lakes
I still come here as an unrooted stranger to the place
who finds it easier to relate to the wilderness
taking its own back, than the ghosts that abound
like Huron women in the moonlight
beating the wild rice at the edge of the ponds
into the bows of their spectral canoes
silent as waterbirds parting the veils of the waves
before smallpox, Jesuits, and the Iroquois wiped them out.
And yet how beautiful the stars are above the birch groves
just before moonrise, when you see them in isolation,
and you feel your heart gripped by a sense of wonder
so transfixing and sublime, you embody it immediately
as the deepest intimacy of time you'll ever experience
in your passage through it. And it doesn't matter
what the message is, whether you can interpret
the signs or not, or come away any wiser for the sight,
or mistake a knowledge of starmaps and constellations
for real light, you're assured, without ambivalence
of the mortality of the witness, as a deep humility
startles your flesh into realizing its tenuous brevity
is only a temporary deferment of death, long enough
to be stunned by the profundity of these fireflies of insight
as if you'd just dug up your own prophetic skull on the moon.
Death soon. No need to make a fact morbid
by denying it. Right now I'm still a seance
of living fire in the woods the shadows of those
who dreamed and fought, wept, longed, loved,
lived, laughed and died here competently long before me
gather around as if a whole beehive of ghosts
turned out to bid the last flower of the fall farewell
or I were the axial blackhole at the nave
of a prayer wheel galaxy flowing into me
as if the black queen of the sweetness of life
were founding a new colony of natives, exiles,
and immigrants deep inside my soul like the portal
to another world than this one that exhumes and exorcises
all that lives like starmud in a repatriated body.
Or as the Ojibway figured out, ten years
of leaving me food and cigarettes at the sunny side
of my burial hut before my bones turn to dust
and my ghost is free of my fire, before the Canada geese
embody my migratory soul on a long journey south,
there are rituals and protocols of life and death
that must be upheld with a patience and grace
born of understanding how vital it is to adorn
what can't be understood with osprey feathers,
cedar boughs, sage and sweetgrass, growing wild
in the starfields of our dream mothers
leafing the alders in the spring with new metaphors
for the wind blowing through the catkins.
In the beginning was the imagination.
Imagination is the mindscape we're all aboriginals in.
Reality is still a theory fasting on a mountaintop
looking for a totem of itself while it remains awake.
Imagination is a three-feathered chief at peace
with whatever it dreams, even if it dreams it's awake
when the elders gather to name the newborn
after the dancing waters and fire talkers
consult the wisdom of their silence and solitude
in the presence of the inexpressible events
that create the things of the world
like the sensory simulacra of a story
that always dying to be told around the fires of life
in a voice full of distance and time and sorrow
like the wind blowing the blossom of the moon
out of the leafless crowns of the trees
so death might wax fruitful when life is all ears.

. SWEAT OR PRE URINE OR URIC ACID or trixoypurine.. more addictive
than caffein (dioxypurine) . It is the primary cause of arthritis and
rigidity as it crystallizes into needles jabbing the joints. Uric
acid would have been eliminated by the animal's muscle cells had she
not been butchered. Carnivores have 5 times the kidney size
per pound of body weight.
. THE FECES poured out by terrorized animals has traces of ecoli or
colon bacteria.. not only their own waste but that of other cows on
which they often slip as they are being skinned alive at Iowa Beef
Processors or other sites. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, affiliated in the
last century with Kellogg cereals found that after a few hours ecoli
(colon or intestinal bacteria) can multiply into the billions. As
trillions
of gallons of fecal matter are dumped into the waterways,
ecoli or colon bacteria based infections are coming to
vegetarians as well as nonvegetarians. The proximity of swinging
hanging cadavers causes ecoli and other diseases to be transmitted
to other cadavers.
SENILITY (AND STERILITY)
. ALzheimer's Disease is caused by ALcohol, cooking with ALuminum,
and the amyloid plaque in ALl animal protein,
amyloid plaque which builds up
in the brain interfering with function. (Mercury destruction
of memory is not intrinsic to meat but added.)
. The animal fat in meat clogs cerebral arteries.
(Wm Shakespeare in 'Twelfth Night': 'He is a heavy eater of beef.
Methinks it doth harm to his wit.')
. Lancet, the British medical magazine, found that
Mad Cow is sometimes diagnosed as dementia.
TV shows have broadcast open heart
surgery operations in which long
yellow ropes of animal fat (cholesterol)
are pulled out of the heart and
arteries.
ADRENALIN OR EPINEPHRINE is secreted in massive amounts by
captive helpless terrorized animals who hear the screams of
their fellows while they stand in the slaughterhouse line
or in open slatted slaughterhouse trucks in the freezing cold
of winter.. as trucks rip through mountain passes.. or
the suffocating heat of summer. Dr Loving at Ohio State has
found that humans who fight have high adrenalin blood levels
even 22 hours later. Animal fright hormones saturate the blood
and muscle cells of animals. These hormones are protein enzymes
some of whose links are broken by cooking. Many remain intact
recreating the anger in those who consume the flesh. Adrenalin
is unreleased tears.
It is the ingestion of anger, terror, and agony. Such meat
adrenalin has been correlated to violence. A recent Maryland prison
study reported reduced violence in those eating vegetables. Ingesting
meat causes the body to be a constant state of unnatural alert.
. ANGER see above
. DESPAIR AND DEPRESSION see above
. VIOLENCE.. see above
. RAPE Alaska has led the nation in sexual abuse and in ingestion
of animal protein. Factors are adrenalin, female hormones
which stimulate unnatural sexual response given to animals, as well as higher ratio of men to women etc.
. NO VITAMIN C
C is in no animal products.. It speeds up the flow of brain snyapse
messages and promotes connective tissue in the skin, said two time
Nobel Laureaute Linus Pauling, who
defined an orthomolecule as a molecule in fruit. C is a toxin
bouncer. C should be consumed within the bulk of fruit, or
in a buffered state, or with food.
. NO FIBER..
. THE ANIMAL FAT, AMYLOID PLAQUE, CALCIUM PLAQUE AND URIC ACID CRYSTALS IN ARTERIES CAUSE HEART ATTACKS
Animal fat clogs the arteries causing heart attacks and strokes,
which are the single major cause of death in the world. Meat deaths
per year outdo alcohol, tobacco, and accidents combined. It is not
just the animal fat in meat which causes this,
but the uric acid (trioxypurine) is an unnatural stimulant, as is
the adrenalin enzyme. Adrenalin mobilizes the body for fight or
flight.
Meateating puts the body in a constant state of stress. Televized open heart surgeries show long yellow ropes of
animal fat being pulled out of arteries.
. CANCER
Countries with the highest meat consumption have the highest rates
of
intestinal cancer. Canada, Australia, the US, Argentina, and Chile
are some of these. Meat has no natural bulk and
causes a constipation which leads to total blockage.
. OVERWEIGHT OBESITY:
a. Dr Mervyn Hardinge working at an Ivy League university
found in isocaloric studies that with 3 control groups each
eating the same number of calories daily, vegans weigh 23 lbs. less than nonvegetarians while dairy
vegetarians weigh 12 lbs. less. Fruitarians weighed less
than the other 3 groups. The increased
bulk and lack of constipating flesh in vegetarian and vegan diets is a factor.
b. The milk of cows is designed to produce a thousand pound animal.
c. The lack of fiber in animal products causes constipation and
retained calories.
. ANTHRAX, SMALLPOX (COW POX) , TULAREMIA
and other forms of bioterrorism all originate in the consumption of
animal flesh or contact with their skins (hides, leather making,
woolsorters' disease) The USDA which protects the multi trillion
dollar
meat industry while attempting to prevent diversity in fruit seeds
from entering the country attributes only 700 deaths in animals to
anthrax last year (500 in Texas) while virtually only NBC reported
the anthrax in November 2001 in 21 California cows. (Author of 9
books Leonard Horowitz writes that the CIA gave Battelle of Columbus
Ohio 1 billion dollars to develop weaponized anthrax.)
SONGLESSNESS
Susan Miller, voice specialist with Georgetown Univ Hosp (a
vivisecting institution) has spoken of the rigidity of vocal chords
caused by dioxypurine (caffeine) . Trioxypurine (uric acid in meat)
is even more damaging.
DINOCOCCUS RADIODURANS: According to NPR in December of 2002, a
dinococcus radiodurans
can survive within meat though irradiated.
ACIDITY Many diseases of acidity are related to acidification
of the body from acid foods. Gastrointestinal acid reflux
has been called by some gastroenterologists a product of fast food.
ECOLI OR COLON BACTERIA When animals are butchered Dr John Harvey
Kellogg MD found their colon bacteria or ecoli could multiply
by the billions in a few hours. Now ecoli from slaughterhouses,
feedlots, and farms is filling the streams of the world. Not
only food poisoning deaths but ear infections and immune problems
are a result.
TOXIN BOUNCERS:
Vitamin C
chelation
sunshine
exercise
prayer and positive thought
II DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH MEAT CONSUMPTION
There are tens of thousands of diseases caused by the consumption of
the flesh of animals. The USDA listed slightly over 100 in the early
part of the 20th Century, but as knowledge has increased and toxic
pollutants have saturated
the environment,
the number has increased.
TYPHOID FEVER is caused by meat, shellfish,
and water containing human and animal waste.
POLIO
anaging High Sulfur Concentrations in Beef Cattle Feedlot Rations
...
More severe cases of sulfur toxicity may result in polio... brainers or polio. http: //www.extension.umn.edu/beef/co...HighSulfur.pdf
PERITONITIS When George Wallace was shot, he never completely healed
from peritonitis caused by the bullet ripping through his intestinal
tract after he had just eaten a hamburger. The bullet carried colon
bacteria throughout the body.
GANGRENE The downed cows passed into the human meat supply by
the corrupt USDA are often gangrenous.
PUTREFACTION: Like any corpse, animal flesh (meat) deteriorates
after death. Even when the cadaver is frozen, creiophilic
bacteria multiply. (see below) The inability of the body efficiently
to digest animal flesh is a cause of appendicitis. When the animal
flesh is heated, thermophilic
bacteria develop. Dr John Harvey Kellogg found that billions of
ecoli bacteria
multiply in the body after the animal is dead a few hours.
GELATIN a name for the ground up bones of animals.. which
can contain Mad Cow frequent brand name Jello
MAD COW MAD DEER MAD ELK MAD FISH ETC Dr Stanley Prusiner went to
the University of California from Harvard to receive more priority
for his prion work, which won a Nobel Prize. Mad Cow proteins can
incubate for 50 years said the World Health Organization's
communicable disease division on the CBC. (Gelatin containing Mad Cow
is found in jello, gelcaps, soaps, toothpastes, soups etc. Vegans
are
catheterized much more seldom than nonvegans. However if by chance a
vegan is unconscious and catheterized against her will, often the
gels used against her will are animal derived.
The 5th Circuit has just upheld Howard Lyman after Amarillo
cattlemen
sued him. The Court held the truth is not libelous.
The factory farming of over 81% of US fish with bone meal,
unregulated for animal parts, causes fish to have sexual and other
deformities
and Mad Fish Disease or Piscean Spongiform Encephalopathy.
. THE PRIONS cause cancer. Prion diseases include CJD, Creutzfeld-
Jacob Disease, GSS Gerstmann-Straussler-Scheinker syndrome, FFI,
Fatal Familial Insomnia,
Kuru, a disease cannibals contract from eating human brains, (as
animals contract Mad Cow, Mad Deer and other diseases from being fed
other animals' parts) ,
Alpers Sydrome
. TRICHINOSIS
A disease involving worms burrowing into the flesh of pigs
. TOXOPLASMOSIS a disease of rare meat
. MONONUCLEOSIS blamed on sexual contact but more frequently
from rare meat
(this link says avoid meat to be cured)
. BRUCELLOSIS
. SALMONELLA one of many varieties of food poisoning
NAMES OF OTHER FOOD POISONING AND OTHER MEAT DISEASES
.Brucellosis, ptomaine, trichinosis
(pork flesh worms) , hoof and mouth, toxoplasmosis (a rare
meat disease) and many other food poisoning viruses, bacteriae are
the names of some of the ten thousand diseases which can be
transmitted to humans by eating flesh. Dr Owen Parrett in the
book 'Diseases of Food Animals' mentioned many.
III TOXIC ADDITIVES
STERILITY:
A Canadian study has found that female hormones flushed come into
the
water supply and cause sterile fish. Hundreds of times that amount
of
female hormones flows into streams from the urine of billions of
cows
given female hormones in the US. (Perhaps this is one way the kinder
inherit the earth) In addition, new studies are finding that
herbicides as well (such as Roundup) are causing sexual deformities
in fish and that they continue
to have power on the human population in parts as little
as 1 per billion.
. THE FEMALE HORMONES given the cows become prostate, breast, and
uterine cancer as well as nonreproductive cancers. Gynecomastia is
male breast swelling from such hormones, which increase sexual
pressure and are correlated also to
rape. In Puerto Rico 2 year old children have developed sexually.
The
European Union has banned these hormones and has been more honest
about Mad Cow in its meat supply. Tens of thousands of MEN are
contracting breast cancer annually.
IMPOTENCE is also a byproduct as male testosterone level is reduced.
A 2nd cause of impotence is animal fat blockage in prostate arteries.
FLY DUNG The dung of the cows is not
the only waste which splatters onto the carcass. Those who have
visited outdoor meat markets in the summer time with the carcasses
hanging on hooks in public view are able
to connect the connection of flies to the corpses which attract them.
. THE ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE in the animal's flesh is passed onto the
humans devouring them
HEAVY METALS IN MEAT & FISH (arsenic chromium mercury pcb's aluminum
lead
cadmium etc) cause memory loss, seniity and brain damage. The
inaction of the unelected Bush administration in this matter has
been
well reported.
. BENZOPYRENE, a carcinogen, applies only when meat is burned on the
grill. NIH has added grilled meat, but not yet all
meat, to its carcinogen list. Dr Samuel Epstein testified
before Congress about inhalable benzopyrene, but ingested
benzopyrene has been underreported.
. WASTELAGE
In addition to the waste secreted by the cow is the waste fed to the
cow. It is legal in many states to add the waste of many animals to
the feed (a chauvinist term for food when given to animals) .
. IMMUNE EXHAUSTION Just as polysexuality requires that the immune
system adapt to the bioorganisms of each new partner, so does the
eating of animals require the body to adapt to the bioorganisms of
each slaughtered animals. The immune system
can be healed by avoiding animal products & eating uncooked fruits
such as nuts, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges, mangos.
. SMALLPOX (COW POX OR KINE POX)
Edward Jenner developed the first vaccinations against this
meat consumption disease Meat industry money has changed the
name from cow pox and kine pox to smallpox.
CDC: why aren't you telling public about TB relationship to meat and dairy products?
. LIPS, SNOUTS, EYES, INTESTINAL
LININGS, SPINAL CORDS, BRAIN STEMS
Common to hot dogs are 'trash' meats which contain many pieces
of animal correlated to Mad Cow and other diseases.
. AIDS Dr Anthony Fauci, animal abuser
at NIH, stated at a press conference that
monkey meat consumption was one cause of AIDS. While cows' meat is
not monkey meat, it does contain BLV or bovine leukemia virus, the
same disease as the HTLV with only a name
change. For example, leukemia virus in horses is called
ELV, equine leukemia virus, in pigs PLV porcine leukemia virus, etc.
(Most AIDS was caused by smallpox vaccine from the World
Health Organization says Pierce Wright, former science editor
of the London Times.)
. THE SODIUM NITRATE.. red dye no.2..forms nitrosamines in
contact with animal protein. These nitrosamines are carcinogenic. In
addition are many other carcinogenic.
Food coloring makes grey, gangrene
green, and brown animal flesh
look red.
OTHER FOOD COLORING AGENTS
. PRESERVATIVES which keep meat from
rotting.. also turn the body into a wax mummy
. MEAT TENDERIZERS such as MONOSODIUM
GLUTAMATE which break down animal flesh.. also
break down the brain's necessary cellular proteins. Chinese
restaurant meat (where MSG is used) is
known to cause MSG headaches.
. THE METHYLCHOLANTHRENE AND MALANALDEHYDE
are 2 carcinogens created by heating animal flesh and fat above
300 degrees while the ecoli is caused by just the opposite:
undercooking.
. MERCURY at toxic levels is in much of the world's water. Fish are
at the top of the ocean food chain, while meat is at the top of the
land food chain. Mercury harms brain
function. A class action suit against vaccines containing mercury
has
been filed because of correlation to children's neural damage. Rep
Dan Burton's courageous fight against Henry
Waxman to bring out this truth has been underreported. Countires
with
the most fish consumption have the
most stomach cancer.
. POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENOLS are found
even in the livers of polar bears. They are a byproduct of the
lumber ](treekilling) industry as well as of GE and other
transformers. They harm brain function.
. ARSENIC a poison.. in all the waters of the world. One
source is the lumber industry.
. CHROMIUM a poison expelled by some steel
manufacturers
. MONONUCLEOSIS Like AIDS whose meat eating origins have been
obscured, mononucleosis was called the kissing disease when in
reality this immune depression disease was more frequently caused by
rare meat.
. INSECTICIDES AND HERBICIDES in the grain such as
Roundup by Monsanto are concentrated in the milk
and the meat of the animals. Each average weight 1000 lb. cow ate
21,000 lbs. average before being forced to the slaughterhouse. As
fish are at the top of the ocean food chain, animal products are at
thetop of the Mother Earth food chain, concentrating many times more
insecticides than non organic
fruits and vegetables. It is best to eat organic food,
for the sake of all beings.
ACIDITY: Meat is one of the most acid of foods, raising the body's
acidity level. Acidification is a
major cause of aging. Animal protein is high in sodium, affecting
negatively the sodium potassium balance.
MOLD OR MICOTOXINS
Many meats have mold on their surface.
SYPHILIS: connected to cow pox as well as to sexuality
MUCUS: correlated in teens to pimples..as it accumulates in the
lungs
and respiratory tracts and intestinal
tract it can literally suffocate us. Dr Arnold Ehret's
The Mucusless Diet is a timeless classic.
WORMS (in the bacon) are called trichinella and lead to trichinosis.
(* NIH is finally after decades is readying to put grilled meat on
the list of carcinogens)
ALCOHOLISM: Several studies have been done on the relationship
of alcohol to meat and their mutual craving. General Bramwell
Booth, Russian mental health therapists and others have treated
alcoholism with vegetarian diet. Alcohol is very expansive or
yin. Meat is the most yang or concentrated of all foods.
ADDICTION: The trioxypurine (uric
acid) in meat is more addictive than the dioxypurine (caffein) .
OSTEOPOROSIS: The trioxypurines in
meat are a cause of osteoporosis.
GANGRENE OF THE BOWEL: Human beings have the longest intestinal
tracts of any mammal. These tracts are designed for frugivores or
fruit eaters. Gangrene of the bowel is one of many intestinal
diseases caused by eating animal flesh.
BUTYRIC ACID This ingredient of animal fat causes bad odor.
It used to be that Asians complained of this in Westerners,
but now Japanese meat consumption is requiring more deodorants.
Dumpsters full of
rotting meat have a foul odor.
. What's CREIOPHILIC bacteria? What's
THERMOPHILIC bacteria? Creiophilic
bacteria survives freezing in the pieces of animal called meat.
Thermophilic bacteria survives 300 degrees.

The Rape of the Lock: Canto 5
She said: the pitying audience melt in tears,
But Fate and Jove had stopp'd the Baron's ears.
In vain Thalestris with reproach assails,
For who can move when fair Belinda fails?
Not half so fix'd the Trojan could remain,
While Anna begg'd and Dido rag'd in vain.
Then grave Clarissa graceful wav'd her fan;
Silence ensu'd, and thus the nymph began.
"Say, why are beauties prais'd and honour'd most,
The wise man's passion, and the vain man's toast?
Why deck'd with all that land and sea afford,
Why angels call'd, and angel-like ador'd?
Why round our coaches crowd the white-glov'd beaux,
Why bows the side-box from its inmost rows?
How vain are all these glories, all our pains,
Unless good sense preserve what beauty gains:
That men may say, when we the front-box grace:
'Behold the first in virtue, as in face!'
Oh! if to dance all night, and dress all day,
Charm'd the smallpox, or chas'd old age away;
Who would not scorn what housewife's cares produce,
Or who would learn one earthly thing of use?
To patch, nay ogle, might become a saint,
Nor could it sure be such a sin to paint.
But since, alas! frail beauty must decay,
Curl'd or uncurl'd, since locks will turn to grey,
Since painted, or not painted, all shall fade,
And she who scorns a man, must die a maid;
What then remains but well our pow'r to use,
And keep good humour still whate'er we lose?
And trust me, dear! good humour can prevail,
When airs, and flights, and screams, and scolding fail.
Beauties in vain their pretty eyes may roll;
Charms strike the sight, but merit wins the soul."
So spoke the dame, but no applause ensu'd;
Belinda frown'd, Thalestris call'd her prude.
"To arms, to arms!" the fierce virago cries,
And swift as lightning to the combat flies.
All side in parties, and begin th' attack;
Fans clap, silks rustle, and tough whalebones crack;
Heroes' and heroines' shouts confus'dly rise,
And bass, and treble voices strike the skies.
No common weapons in their hands are found,
Like gods they fight, nor dread a mortal wound.
So when bold Homer makes the gods engage,
And heav'nly breasts with human passions rage;
'Gainst Pallas, Mars; Latona, Hermes arms;
And all Olympus rings with loud alarms.
Jove's thunder roars, heav'n trembles all around;
Blue Neptune storms, the bellowing deeps resound;
Earth shakes her nodding tow'rs, the ground gives way;
And the pale ghosts start at the flash of day!
Triumphant Umbriel on a sconce's height
Clapp'd his glad wings, and sate to view the fight:
Propp'd on their bodkin spears, the sprites survey
The growing combat, or assist the fray.
While through the press enrag'd Thalestris flies,
And scatters death around from both her eyes,
A beau and witling perish'd in the throng,
One died in metaphor, and one in song.
"O cruel nymph! a living death I bear,"
Cried Dapperwit, and sunk beside his chair.
A mournful glance Sir Fopling upwards cast,
"Those eyes are made so killing"--was his last.
Thus on Mæeander's flow'ry margin lies
Th' expiring swan, and as he sings he dies.
When bold Sir Plume had drawn Clarissa down,
Chloe stepp'd in, and kill'd him with a frown;
She smil'd to see the doughty hero slain,
But at her smile, the beau reviv'd again.
Now Jove suspends his golden scales in air,
Weighs the men's wits against the lady's hair;
The doubtful beam long nods from side to side;
At length the wits mount up, the hairs subside.
See, fierce Belinda on the baron flies,
With more than usual lightning in her eyes,
Nor fear'd the chief th' unequal fight to try,
Who sought no more than on his foe to die.
But this bold lord with manly strength endu'd,
She with one finger and a thumb subdu'd:
Just where the breath of life his nostrils drew,
A charge of snuff the wily virgin threw;
The Gnomes direct, to ev'ry atom just,
The pungent grains of titillating dust.
Sudden, with starting tears each eye o'erflows,
And the high dome re-echoes to his nose.
"Now meet thy fate", incens'd Belinda cried,
And drew a deadly bodkin from her side.
(The same, his ancient personage to deck,
Her great great grandsire wore about his neck
In three seal-rings; which after, melted down,
Form'd a vast buckle for his widow's gown:
Her infant grandame's whistle next it grew,
The bells she jingled, and the whistle blew;
Then in a bodkin grac'd her mother's hairs,
Which long she wore, and now Belinda wears.)
"Boast not my fall," he cried, "insulting foe!
Thou by some other shalt be laid as low.
Nor think, to die dejects my lofty mind;
All that I dread is leaving you benind!
Rather than so, ah let me still survive,
And burn in Cupid's flames--but burn alive."
"Restore the lock!" she cries; and all around
"Restore the lock!" the vaulted roofs rebound.
Not fierce Othello in so loud a strain
Roar'd for the handkerchief that caus'd his pain.
But see how oft ambitious aims are cross'd,
The chiefs contend 'till all the prize is lost!
The lock, obtain'd with guilt, and kept with pain,
In ev'ry place is sought, but sought in vain:
With such a prize no mortal must be blest,
So Heav'n decrees! with Heav'n who can contest?
Some thought it mounted to the lunar sphere,
Since all things lost on earth are treasur'd there.
There hero's wits are kept in pond'rous vases,
And beaux' in snuff boxes and tweezercases.
There broken vows and deathbed alms are found,
And lovers' hearts with ends of riband bound;
The courtier's promises, and sick man's prayers,
The smiles of harlots, and the tears of heirs,
Cages for gnats, and chains to yoke a flea,
Dried butterflies, and tomes of casuistry.
But trust the Muse--she saw it upward rise,
Though mark'd by none but quick, poetic eyes:
(So Rome's great founder to the heav'ns withdrew,
To Proculus alone confess'd in view)
A sudden star, it shot through liquid air,
And drew behind a radiant trail of hair.
Not Berenice's locks first rose so bright,
The heav'ns bespangling with dishevell'd light.
The Sylphs behold it kindling as it flies,
And pleas'd pursue its progress through the skies.
This the beau monde shall from the Mall survey,
And hail with music its propitious ray.
This the blest lover shall for Venus take,
And send up vows from Rosamonda's lake.
This Partridge soon shall view in cloudless skies,
When next he looks through Galileo's eyes;
And hence th' egregious wizard shall foredoom
The fate of Louis, and the fall of Rome.
Then cease, bright nymph! to mourn thy ravish'd hair,
Which adds new glory to the shining sphere!
Not all the tresses that fair head can boast
Shall draw such envy as the lock you lost.
For, after all the murders of your eye,
When, after millions slain, yourself shall die:
When those fair suns shall set, as set they must,
And all those tresses shall be laid in dust,
This lock, the Muse shall consecrate to fame
And 'midst the stars inscribe Belinda's name.
