There are times when my wife has a fit.

Nibbles Abandoned On Picked Over Plates
Do people honestly care who initiated their ability,
To continue eating at a feast?
Since some who have come to munch,
Have desires to have their selections chosen...
By placing them out in front,
To 'try' to duplicate what others obviously appreciate.
The only time people express concern,
Is when it is believed...
Fewer people are eating up all the selected treats.
And it is assumed one chef has been favored...
Because it seems as if this one chef,
Has secret recipes that teases a choice for many to eat.
And it is suspected there is a cheating...
To make those unbeatable delicious treats,
The ones preferred by those who eat them.
No matter what the grade of taste the others are given.

Halloween suddenly now approaches.
Let me eat some crawling roaches.
Let me kill some football coaches.
(And let me not forget the cute cheerleader.
To my pit bull I can feed her.)
Boys and girls will knock for candy.
I'll lock them in a cage that's handy,
and feed them, instead, some stew that's sandy,
made with rat tails and chicken legs
and wiggly worms and spider eggs.
I can't help my lustful craving for BLOOD,
which each October through my brain does flood,
like a scarlet explosion from a plump rose bud.
My knives are sharpened, my teeth are grating.
The porch light is on, my freezer's waiting.
I'll only harvest what I can handle,

The Real Reason
I'm going to tell you something you might consider funny
But Easter isn't all about the hip hoppity bunny
NOr is at about candy and all those other sweets
And the eggs in the basket and other fun treats
Now listen close to what I have to say
And you'll know why we celebrate this day
Easter tells us how much God's love costs
And how He wants to gather in the lost
It was on the cross Christ died for our sin
So those who believed now to heaven enter in
Yes, God so loved the world that He gave His Son
So victory over death could now be won
On Easter morning Christ rose from the dead
The story's not over, there's much more to be said
yes, it's okay to enjoy the bunny, the candy and sweets

Just remember that Christ's resurrection is the real reason
That we celebrate the Easter season
