A Heap’s peak

Everyone has a heap,
Each heap has a peak,
Be it a mountain or an ant hill.
Priding on such heap one would die,
Each soul thus getting some respite.

Ridicule

Ridicule is to belittle one,
To make one laughable.
Critics, humorists, satirist
Jokers, sadists all do it.
Even one who fears none
Will fear being ridiculed.
Ridicule is the product of hatred.

Uncle Alvarez

Theres a portrait of uncle alvarez
Hangin in the hall
Nobody wants to look at it
But uncle alvarez sees us all
Oh, oh, oh, imaginary accomplishments
Hey, hey, hey, you visionary guy
You might even shake the hands of presidents
Better send a postcard and keep the family quiet
Hes not really a part cherokee indian
He didnt fight in the civil war
Hes just eugene isaac alvarez
We feel sorry for the wall
Oh, oh, oh, imaginary accomplishments
Hey, hey, hey, you visionary guy
You might even shake the hands of presidents
Youre gonna make em sorry when you die
And its a long way down
Youre hoping for a heart attack
Runnin around
Investing in this and that
And your beautiful wife keeps your life on a shelf for you
Safe in the bedroom
Where theres no dust or mildew
And its hard to believe you were once a beautiful dancer
Better just to shake it off
As you write your resume
Dont think of uncle alvarez
And the price he had to pay
Oh, oh, oh, imaginary accomplishments
Hey, hey, hey, you visionary guy
You might even shake the hands of presidents
Youre gonna make em sorry when you die
Oh, oh, oh, imaginary accomplishments
Hey, hey, hey, you visionary guy
You might even shake the hands of presidents
Better send some money to the alma mater

I've Done That

You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
You wanted me to sit,
For nibbles and bits.

You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
You wanted me to sit,
For nibbles and bits.

But I wont,
Beg from you at all.
And I wont,
Roll over or crawl.
And if I don't,
Play your favorite pet to fetch...
Know that I've left with no regrets,
And a respect...
You never gave me.

You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
And when I leave,
You're gonna miss me.

Ridicule

Gout that strives at you manages pleasure,
Due to homogeny of ridicule on the side.
Danger of honest honey matters most,
Gout arrives forming a honeycreeper.
This illness I confine to the organs
Envelops my mind most, then my feet and joints.
I am hominoid like the blessed men and women,
Piercing us with pleasure, pictures so pickled
With distaste of picnics.
Piety is the taste of death that gout brings,
For we are deathly on the side of angels
That caress the objects we design,
And there is more ridicule to come.

Earth & Skyscrapers

Old building: He is very proud of being a skyscraper
boasts to the world.
' I am the tallest and the richest too
my best friends are Sun & Moon'

New building: He is very proud of being a Skyscraper
boasts to the world.
' I am more taller and more richer than the old buiding
my best friends are Stars & Planets'

Earth : I am not proud like you and there is no world without me
my best friends are human; if I shake myself a bit
you all collapse on me.

Heaps and growths

Every heap is as a result
Of some scoops from somewhere.
Every growth is as a result
Of some deaths from around.
Don’t beam with the heap and growth.

World peace

A mirage,
They are running after it,
A game,
Played by big players,
A net,
Cast by the biggest hunter,
And the whole world trapped into it.
Thou cannot look for it
on the heap of corpse,
On the heap of ruin,
Amidst the wail of widows,
Amidst the scream of orphans,
It will surely come,
When man will be
the centre of man's hopes.

Barbs of Ridicule

Like a bolt of thunder, her laughter pierced my ears
And in my shattered world, left shards of broken dreams
Cut deep into my heart, left barbs of ridicule,
mockery that her heart, cannot to me belong
Our worlds cannot be one just like oil and water
I cannot be an arc in her circle of friends

The memories of her always touching the barbs
Spill the poison of pain that she left in my heart
Benumbing my senses, my flesh, my thoughts, my mind

And then you came to me with the sweetest of smiles
Your words, your love, your touch soothe like the taste of wine
Made my world whole again, filled my being with joy
Took away from my heart the barbs of ridicule

A Self-Estimate

My life has been built around
self-doubt of who I am
with insecurity and vulnerability.
To many that might seem strange
and to others it might seem I have it all.
A lasting marriage,
fulfilling my dreams one at a time,
friends around the world.
You ask what else
could anyone really want.

When I was young
whatever I did
my sister or someone else
could always do it better
even when I succeeded,
at least that is what I was always told.
Those words brought forth
all sorts of insecurities
that plagued my life from those days to this.

They would tell me my writing
was rubbish and I should never show them
to anyone or they would hold me up to ridicule.
Now my writing is read and enjoyed
by thousands across the world.
So why is it that these insecurities
keep swirling around my head?

The questions keep coming,
but the answers elude me.
Even when I look at my accomplishments
those insecurities still follow me around.
Will my bubble burst
and will their words back then be right?
I hope and pray not and I will just carry on
no matter what the outcome is.

My future is sealed
no matter which way I turn.
A writer I will always be,
whether good, bad or indifferent,
or for richer or poorer be.
I gave up once for a number of years,
but fate had it in store
that I would write again once more.
It even lead me down different paths
than I had been down before.

What next I ask myself,
just keep on writing I guess
and the insecurities.
Well, they will still follow me
as well as the self-doubts
I was brainwashed with.
You cannot turn back the clock
say it never happened.
It is just something in my life
I am going to have to live with.
