Sheer flattery got me into the theater. Flattery always works with me, particularly the flattery of women.

Submit a new poem
The smell of a new car
Or perhaps a puppy just born
Coffee brewing in the early morn
Inscence at mass mingled with perfume
Diesel fumes from the bus in the city
Making me dizzy and whoozy and giddy
Aromas so feint I had forgotten
What smelled good
And what smelled rotten
But today I submit a new poem
The smell of all new mother's dream
A newborn to make them smile
And make complete thier life for eternity
Just ask my wife, Love John, A lover of life..
I am a politician
How many arrows of sarcasm are there in your armour?
Waste them upon me,
As I have lost my self-respect
Somewhere in the world of flattery,
Now I have become an object of derision in every eye,
My day begins with flattery and it ends with the same,
I am the most shameless person on the earth,
I can put anything at stake to grind my axe,
I am the one who is an eyesore to the people,
They hate me and call me filthy beast,
But it doesn't matter
As long as my interest is served,
Inspite of their hatred
In the election,
I manage their votes,
For I soften them by my servile flattery,
They will never cease hating me,
And I shall never flattering them,
For politics is my religion,
And flattery is my faith,
I am a politician.

Swallowed
Warm sun feed me up
i'm leery loaded up
loathing for a change
and i slip some
boil away
swallowed followed
heavy about everything
but my love
swallowed sorrowed
i'm with everyone and yet not
i'm with everyone and yet not
i'm with everyone and yet not
just wanna be myself
hey you said that you would love to try
some
hey you said that you would love to die
some
in the middle of a world on a fishhook
you're the wave
you're the wave
you're the wave
swallowed borrowed
heavy about everything
but my love
swallowed hollowed
sharp about everyone
but yourself
swallowed oh no
i'm with everyone and yet not
i'm with everyone and you're not
i'm with everyone and yet not
piss on self-esteem
forward busted knee
sick head
blackened lungs
and i'm a simple selfish son
swallowed followed
oh no i'm with everyone and yet not
got to get away from here
got to get away from here
i miss the one that i love a lot
i miss the one that i love a lot

Too Far Gone
When I woke up you were gone
And the sun was on the lawn
Empty pillow with perfume on
I smelled it.
Well, we met in my favorite bar
Took a ride in my old car
But I still dont know how
We made it home.
Was I too far gone
Too far gone
Too far gone
For you.
We had drugs and we had booze
But we still had something to lose
And by dawn I wanted
To marry you.
With our attitudes by day
And our secret dreams by night
Can we really live our lives
That way.
Am I too far gone
Too far gone
Too far gone
For you.
Was I too far gone
Too far gone
Too far gone
For you.

Last Night I Dreamt Your Perfume
Last night I dreamt your perfume
While I held you in my hand
Last night I dreamt your perfume
You will never understand
The way you make me feel
The promise that you give
Last night I dreamt your perfume
Lost in those dreams I live
Last night I dreamt your perfume
Arched fingers cupped your breast
Last night I dreamt your perfume
Felt your warm breath brush my chest
With gel coat slide I gripped you
Sensation through my veins
Last night I dreamt your perfume
She who bears no name
Last night I dreamt your perfume
Your body meshed with mine
Last night I dreamt your perfume
A guilty pleasure, sweet, sublime
Quiet by my pillow
Your touch I never feel
Last night I dreamt your perfume
This morning, wished you real

Heard a...
Heard a beautiful piece of music today.
Do you know it?
Is so simple, so pure
Contains all there is to know!
Smelled a perfume today,
Reminded me of you.
Is so simple, so pure.
Contains all there is to know!

Candy Perfume Girl
Young velvet porcelain boy
Devour me when you're with me
Blue wish window seas
Speak delicious fires
I'm your candy perfume girl
Your candy perfume girl
Moist warm desire
Fly to me
I'm your candy perfume girl
Your candy perfume girl
I'm your candy perfume girl
Candy

The flattery of posterity is not worth much more than contemporary flattery, which is worth nothing.

Nothing in the world is harder than speaking the truth and nothing easier than flattery. If there's the hundredth part of a false note in speaking the truth, it leads to a discord, and that leads to
trouble. But if all, to the last note, is false in flattery, it is just as agreeable, and is heard not without satisfaction. It may be a coarse satisfaction, but still a satisfaction. And however coarse the flattery, at least half will be sure to seem true. That’s so for all stages of development and classes of society.

Broken
Fading out
Holding out
The innocent way
Loves run out
Left this world inside of me
Crying out
Screaming out
As the echoes within
The cat is out
No more secrets left within
The feelings gone
You swallowed the sun
One by one
The bolder has come
The feelings gone
You swallowed the sun
And wave goodbye to love again
Staring down
Tears roll down
And now that you feed
A Broken cloud
A covers torn for all to see
The feelings gone
You swallowed the sun
One by one
The bolder has come
The feelings gone
You swallowed the sun
And wave goodbye to love again
Fading out
Burning out

Winds and Skirts
...it was the hem of her skirt I saw;
the wind, though blowing lightly,
revealed the contours of her frame.
Wished I could say I was not moved.
The host whisked her into a room
but the aroma of her perfume lingered.
Were I to see her face again,
I would not recognized it
but the hem of her skirt, well.
I stood there for an hour
with my face stuck to the pane;
my facial image is still there,
yet I did not see her.
I have smelled many perfumes since
and have seen many skirt hems...
What would I give to see her body
sway in the winds?

Berries
so i smelled you
and i thought
hmmm
Visalia, California
brown and green grass, black and white cows
i turned you upside down
and smelled you like that
and i thought
ohhh
Napa Valley
fine wine, many drunk tourist
and then i licked you
and you tasted like nothing on my tongue
small hairy things
purple and red berries
red and purple fingers

New Bag
It moulded to my shoulder
comfortable, but worn
a little ragged really,
but a friend.
I would stuff it with spare knickers,
tissues, lipstick too,
some pain killers, in case
and a small picture of you.
There was sticky tape and tweezers,
cleansing cream for face
and just in case my breath smelled foul
a toothbrush and toothpaste.
So what was I to do, or say
I swallowed hard and sighed
when you sang Happy birthday,
it was so hard not to cry
for on the table, in a box,
tied up with pretty string,
a brand new bag, designer brand,
that wouldn't hold a thing.

My Home Remains Sky
I will not return to earth
Once on the earth and the earth turned me down, only briefly with
I went back to the sky, I'm in heaven where my original
In the sky more beautiful in the sky over calm
Actually I had stayed at home on earth
Even now I miss her
But on earth I could scarcely recognize the permanence
So I'm just one or two times to the earth
I am the son of heaven who loves the sky
High and difficult to reach, or do not think anyone
After the sky I'm difficult and not easy to come back to earth
Only the rain was the tears that tell of the earth
Echoed devastated what is on earth
And I will continue in the sky
Before there was earth is really for me
Earth friendly and beautiful for me
So that's what eternity will tell their own
And we both lost in eternity swallow
Silence swallowed, swallowed by the beauty
Swallowed by time, into the night and day
Swallowed by love and affection both of us forever
