So many years

of my youth,

the street uptown

baby chicks
only 1 penney
each, what
a deal that
was i said
to my self
so i bought
100 of them,
took them home,
my mom said
too many chicks

Our Bird In Your Cage
we have this bird
we both own it and love it and care for it

and you have this cage

golden, new and strong and as you say it
so reliable
that when our bird is in that cage
it will be safe
