Even for a tree of 10000 feet, it's leaves return to the root when they fall.
Though a tree grows so high, the falling leaves return to the root.
Falling Leaves (leaves me pondering)
Little orange leaves
Gathered and quaking,
Upon the tree
The wind is shaking -
Where will you go, oh little ones
When you fall?
- I was hoping you'd take me with you
To the realm beyond it all -
There is a dream in my soul,
Of such far away places to go;
Where all the fallen leaves
Return to the original trees;
Where the questions of autumn
Are finally understood,
And we come to see
In the end, all is good.

And drink up all that I can
Give me some root beer (chug-a-lug chug-a-lug chug-a-lug)

Cold beer, root beer
Here a mug, there a mug, everybody chug-a-lug

Louies lookin out the rear window

But root beers my best buy

A Long Bough
A bough sank down on a fence, and fell asleep –
so shall I sleep.
The fruit has fallen; and what do I care
for my root and stock?
The fruit has fallen, the flower is long forgotten,
only leaves remain.
One day a storm will rage and they will fall,
casualties, to earth.
Afterwards, terrible nights.
No respite, no sleep.
I wrestle alone in darkness, batter
my head on the wall.
Spring will blossom again. Only I
hang on to my stem –
bald shoot with no bud and no flower
no fruit and no leaf.

A New leaf
There’s a new leaf upon the Tree
A thousand, thousand have been before
In the life of this great tree
Yet, the Tree rejoices, and is glad
For there is a New Leaf upon the tree
The roots are deep, and hidden
Tis one tree from root to branch
And lives in and through each leaf
The hearts’ smile resurrected
Through the New leaf upon the tree
Like the stars of heaven
New leaves have been many
And so they all are One
For they all share the same root
Bless the New leaf upon the tree
Perfection in the Blessing
Joy released in tears of love
The strength in life will comfort
From root to God above
A New leaf upon the tree
Beauty, Truth, and life
Complete from root to branch
When life’s cycle turns
Leaves fall to nourish roots
And behold, a New leaf upon the tree

Leaves of Glory
Through fallen leaves of glory on a fog-drenched path
She stands above them with everything she has
Living before the smolder of her own ashes
And desperately trying to be the one who surpasses
Sometimes she falls behind, sometimes it wears on her mind
But someday she will find the way to cross those lines
She will rise from her ashes like a phoenix reborn
Soaring above the trees who dropp their leaves of glory, and so stand torn
Sometimes she fails to look forward and glances behind
The pangs of regret try to fog her mind
But she's too strong to let them go
She holds on as fallen leaves crush beneath her toes
'Cause this girl is a flourishing rose
And above fallen petals of glory, she will always grow

Leaves Compared with Flowers
A tree's leaves may be ever so good,
So may its bar, so may its wood;
But unless you put the right thing to its root
It never will show much flower or fruit.
But I may be one who does not care
Ever to have tree bloom or bear.
Leaves for smooth and bark for rough,
Leaves and bark may be tree enough.
Some giant trees have bloom so small
They might as well have none at all.
Late in life I have come on fern.
Now lichens are due to have their turn.
I bade men tell me which in brief,
Which is fairer, flower or leaf.
They did not have the wit to say,
Leaves by night and flowers by day.
Leaves and bar, leaves and bark,
To lean against and hear in the dark.
Petals I may have once pursued.
Leaves are all my darker mood.

The Coming Of Wisdom With Time
THOUGH leaves are many, the root is one;
Through all the lying days of my youth
I swayed my leaves and flowers in the sun;
Now I may wither into the truth.

is this just another love song? well it sure sounds that way..
about some girl who dumped me and how i found my way
well this time its different, 'cause im not coming back
im not sure i want another freak attack
am i old enough to have fallen so many times?
fallen for a girl like you before i let my life behind
why cant i just find a perfect girl
the one i know was meant for me and knew that i would live forever
its an all or nothing game like russian roulette
you can pull the trigger and risk your life, or sit back and relax
all of my romances left with a bullet in their head
it leaves a whole story blank.. it leaves a dreamer dead
am i old enough to have fallen so many times?
fallen for a girl like you before i let my life behind
why cant i just find a perfect girl
the one i know was meant for me and knew that i would live forever
im falling.. im falling.. im falling.. im falling.. i'm falling.. i'm falling..
am i old enough to have fallen so many times?
fallen for a girl like you before i let my life behind
why cant i just find a perfect girl
the one i know was meant for me and knew that i would live forever
am i old enough to have fallen so many times?
fallen for a girl like you before i let my life behind
why cant i just find a perfect girl
the one i know was meant for me and knew that i would live forever

Changes
Im moving through some changes
Ill never be the same
Something you did touched me
Theres no one else to blame
The love we had has fallen
The love we used to share
Weve given up pretending
As if you didnt care
Change changing places
Root yourself to the ground
Capitalize on this good fortune
One word can bring you round
Changes
I look into the mirror
I see no happiness
All the warmth I gave you
Has turned to emptiness
The love we had has fallen
The love we used to share
Youve left me here believing
In love that wasnt there
Change changing places
Root yourself to the ground
Word to the wise - well you get whats coming
One word can bring you round
Changes
When I look into your eyes and try to find out how
Theres no way to save it now
And everything I feel
Changes
Keep looking for
Changes
Changes
For some reason youre questioning why
I always believe it gets better
One difference between you and i
Your heart is inside your head
One word from you
One word from me
A clear design on your liberty
Who could believe when love has gone
How we move on like everyone
Only such fools
Only such jealous hearts
Only through love changes come
Change changing places
Root yourself to the ground
Capitalize on this good fortune
One word can bring you round
Changes
One road to loneliness
Its always the same
One road to happiness
Its calling your name
Change changing places - changes
Root yourself to the ground
Capitalize on this good fortune
One word can bring you round
Changes
Change changing places
Changes
Root yourself to the ground

Leaves (thread)
under the dogwood
leaves cover
a cat’s grave
early spring
one leaf still dangles
from the tree
palmistry
dew drops on a leaf
pick a vein
widow’s diary
pressed rose petal
the last leaf
with the rain drops
leaves flutter to the ground
fall showers
fallen leaves
circusing in the grass
merry-go-wind
October shower
leaves in the gutter
disembark
leaves changing colors
across the landscape
season's chameleons
morning rain
under maple leaves
tap my shoulder
leaves ripple
with melodies
cicadas song

Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (lyrics)
You spurn my natural emotions
You make me feel like dirt
And I'm hurt
And if I start a commotion
I run the risk of losing you
And that's worse
Ever fallen in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with
I can't see much of a future
Unless we find out what's to blame
What a shame
And we won't be together much longer
Unless we realize that we are the same
Ever fallen in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with
You disturb my natural emotions
You make me feel like dirt
And I'm hurt
And if I start a commotion
I'll only end up losing you
And that's worse
Ever fallen in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with
Ever fallen in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with
Fallen in love with
Ever fallen in love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

In children’s glory
The root toils and takes pride in its crown.
The crown beams but gives no credit to the root.
Birds and animals all admire the crown
For the fruits and the shades they obtain.
They attach least importance to the root.
The root still sticks to the vanity of its pride
As parents take pride in children’s glory.

Fallen, Empty, And Broken
fallen soldier
fallen sky
fallen angel
from on high
fallen heartache
fallen soul
fallen man
losing control
empty bed
empty arms
empty dreams
empty heart
empty wallet
empty hands
cant take nothin'
from an empty man
broken promises
broken vows
broken spirit
wont allow
broken fences
broken lives
broken tomorrows
broken nights
fallen, empty, and broken
every road is the same
bent, bruised, and shaken
still numb from the pain
now you dont answer
when i call out your name
fallen, empty, and broken
walking in the rain...
fallen, empty, and broken...

The First Scene Of Childhood
the first scene
is white. Against the snow
trees without leaves
beneath their feet
are the fallen
leaves,
red,
the air is cold, and howling
no one lives here
anymore.
do not go there,
it can make you like myself.

Falling Leaves
Summer has passed, but
The weather is still fair.
The once leaf-laden trees,
Are, now, almost bear.
Leaves spiral down;
Spinning round and round,
Until, at last, they
Reach the ground.
The once green leaves,
Have now grown old,
And have created below,
A carpet of red, brown, and gold.
Whipped around by the wind,
The fallen leaves, float and fly.
A sudden gust of wind, catches them,
Sending them, sailing up high.
Leaves crunch underfoot;
They curl and decay.
There's a musty smell in the air,
As they slowly, waste away.
Soon the leaves will be gone,
And where they once had lain,
Will be just their lacy skeleton;
Soon, only an impression will remain.
