Backyard Brawl

Got a cut on my thigh, got a nail in my eye
And I'm bleedin' all over the wall
Got a barbed wire bat and a dude on the mat
Ain't getting up soon at all
Got a head full of rage and a belly full of hate
I'm the neighborhood legend that just can't wait
For the backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Don't matter who you are, don't matter what color
Brown or white'll do
But if you're yellow you'll be covered in red
A whole lotta black and blue
Jump off the trailer in a pile full o' guys
Scratching and kicking and pulverized
For the backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Only got six teeth but three of those
Are sharp enough to bite off your nose
At the backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl
Another backyard brawl
Backyard brawl

Backyard brawl
[Spoken:]
You think you're so tough
You talkin' to me?
You're mine
Come on, let's go
Come on stitches...

Dirty Boy

Whoa yeah!
She came walking in like a vision, everybodys school boy dream
Ooh yeah, she could be my teacher, ooh yeah, she could be my queen
Me and the boys, we stopped talking, she came walking through
And one by one the subject got around, yeah, got around to you, thank god
Ive got no secrets, Ive got no clue
And all I really wanna do, is get next to you
You know what the worlds about, and Ill be your dirty boy
Well your clothes are made by designers, you only wear the best perfume
Youre so cold and chique, yeah, youre so unique
But when it comes to me, dont think that youre immune, no
Ive got no answers, Ive got no doubt
I know you wanna show me baby, what the worlds about
Dont treat me like I broke your toy, and Ill be your dirty boy
(solo)
Ive got no secrets, Ive got no clue
And all I really wanna do, is get next to you
You know what the worlds about, and Ill be your dirty boy
Ive got no answers, Ive got no doubt
I know you wanna show me babe, what the worlds about
Dont treat me like I broke your toy, and Ill be
Be your dirty boy, be your dirty boy, I wanna be your dirty boy, ooh yeah
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be your dirty boy, be your dirty boy, yeah
I wanna be your dirty boy, be your dirty boy...

Dirty Eyes

You hypnotize
Honey
Yeah honey
You do it
Woooo, do it good
Do it all right
Every night
When you turn off the light
Its outta sight
(alright)
You hypnotize
Mezmorize
With your dirty eyes
Dirty eyes
Your dirty eyes
Breathin
Breathin heavy
Heavy
Heavy breathin
Send shivers down my spine
[make me | and [im|youre]] so glad that youre mine
[when youre so bad and youre
Mine]
Thats what turns me on
All night long
You hypnotize
Mezmorize
With your dirty eyes
Dirty eyes
You got dirty eyes

Right through me

Dirty Jim

THERE was one little Jim,
'Tis reported of him,
And must be to his lasting disgrace,
That he never was seen
With hands at all clean,
Nor yet ever clean was his face.

His friends were much hurt
To see so much dirt,
And often they made him quite clean;
But all was in vain,
He got dirty again,
And not at all fit to be seen.

It gave him no pain
To hear them complain,
Nor his own dirty clothes to survey:
His indolent mind
No pleasure could find
In tidy and wholesome array.

The idle and bad,
Like this little lad,
May love dirty ways, to be sure;
But good boys are seen
To be decent and clean,
Although they are ever so poor.

Down And Dirty

She's a dancing girl who brings up the heat
Hits on all the men
She knows how to move and make you feel
Like you want to get into sin
A chocolate bar was going really far
Really made me catch my breath
So she had an unordinary glance
I got down tools in the chest
Down and dirty
You're down and dirty, alright
She's down and dirty
You're down and dirty
She twisted her ass around drinks
While the dirty works the girl's booty
Whispered in my ear what I want to hear
Says, "Come with me baby, let's play." (Okay!)
She went to the back to get her traps
My sixth sense was bothering me
She came to work and something I heard
Makes me want to get comfy
Down and dirty
She's down and dirty, alright
Get down and dirty
Get down (Listen)
Down and dirty
Woo!
Alright
Ooh yeah
Well there's something going on
Something I've never known before
Leather and lace is all that I can see
I lost my power of will
You know she should be still
Never thought I'd get hit by some teen, no
I start to bleed, have mercy on me
I'm feelin' a bit distressed
What you're doing to me is so obscene
Got myself into a mess
She started to dance, I grabbed my pants
Found my way to the door
Hot on my trail, a thousand females
Saying, "Baby, more more more!"
Down and dirty
(Hurt me)
Down and dirty
(Well, well, well)
Down and dirty
(Oh yeah)
Get down and dirty
(She is)
Get down (Down)
Get dirty (Dirty)
Take me down (Alright)
One more
Get down (Oh yeah)
Get dirty (Turn around)
Get down (Come over here)-

Lourdes 2006

Jimmy opened his suitcase in the room
at Lourdes and said Oh no there's molasses
all over the clothes and shoes and I've got

a whole week here and he sat down in a chair
his head in his hands saying What have I done?
What am I going to do for clothes now? you

went over and looked in and sure enough
the molasses were over his clothes and shoes.
What am I going to do? he said and you said

Leave it to me Jim I'll sort it and you went through
the clothes taking out the items untouched
by the molasses and set them aside on the bed

and then carried the suitcase of black sticky items
Into the washroom and there one by one you carefully
washed them through with soap and water until

they were clean and smelt of soap and fresh air
and all the while 94 year old Jim sat in a chair
watching with his eyes watery and jaw hung loose

seeing the black water run down the wide plughole
and once it was done you wrung the clothes out
like your mother used to do when you were a kid

and hung them out on the balcony on the small
clothesline and placed the washed out black shoes
by the outside wall to dry out in the hot afternoon

sun and Jimmy came over and stood on the balcony
with one hand on the rail and the other on his stick
looking over at the Pyrenees in the distance and he

said That was real good of you. I owe you big time
and you stood next to him feeling the hot afternoon
sun on your face and arms and felt good and you

said You owe me nothing Jim I just did what some
good guy would and his watery eyes swept over you
matching the French sky's watery afternoon blue.

Mean Mr. Mustard

Mean mister mustard sleeps in the park
Shaves in the dark trying to save paper
Sleeps in a hole in the road
Saving up to buy some clothes
Keeps a ten-bob note up his nose
Such a mean old man
Such a mean old man
His sister pam works in a shop
She never stops, she's a go-getter
Takes him out to look at the queen
Only place that he's ever been
Always shouts out something obscene
Such a dirty old man

Whose God (Do We Worship Now)

your God preaches success,
and individual achievement.
lives in sanctuaries of gold

with windows of colored glass.
doesnt get His hands dirty
on the down side of town...

turns His head from the ugly,
from the smell and the stink...
walks on the other side of the street.

demands sterile cleaness,
prefers people of stature!
no touching, no feelings...

out of control!

our God walks the tracks
leading the lost home...
slept with us under the bridge,

and shared our pot.
sat with the addict,
spent time with the prisoner...

held the little girl's hand
who was afraid of the dark.
washed clothes with us

in borrowed bathroom sinks.
wiped the tears from the old woman's face
when the old man shuddered, moved on....

picked up the young whore's clothes,
and led her from the room.
took the gun from the hand

of the man whose family
was just put out on the street...
stood in line with the jobless,

wearing worn out boots!

so tell me now,
and tell me true...
whose God do we worship now?

When I Speak To The Flowers

When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
They tell me to leave you, leave you behind
They tell my to leave you, just get you out of my mind.
They tell me to leave you, leave you behind
Ow, forget all the good times, that are making me blind.
I know you run around and youll never settle down
And I should quit while Im still on top
But when you hold me baby in your lovin arms
I could love you forever baby, but
When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
When I speak to the flowers in my backyard
They tell me to leave you, leave you behind
They tell my to leave you, just get you out of my mind.
They tell me to leave you, just leave you behind
Ow, forget all the good times, that are making me blind.

Dirty As It Hangs

Dirty is the teacher's picture.
Dirty is the frame that hangs...
On a wall that supports crack heads dozing.
Dirty are the thoughts of children
Having babies
When they themselves need breast feeding.
Limited by illegitimate lack of mind and sense!
Dirty is this point of view,
That feeds on decadence.
Dirty is a way of life,
That spotlights corruption and defames.
Dirty are those of friends and/or family.
The ones who gossip all the time...
About who's doing who in bed,
Or who is dead
OR 'who' is doing prison,
For selling crap...
Slapped by which crime!
Dirty is the atmosphere,
Tainting unsuspecting minds.
Dirty is the teacher's picture...
But the image being framed,
Could be yours or either mine!
This picture dirty as it hangs...
Collects dust that strangles!

Dirty Fingernails And Smelly Clothes

An ode to the lifeblood of society both past and present
The multitude of souls who break their spirits to present
Many invisible services to residents who resent
The smell of soiled clothes without their written consent

Or dirty fingernails that fix their home to their content
And fill their rooms with all varieties of foreign content
From all continents
Where beleaguered joints can make them look prominent

By spinning threads into patterns or metal into confident
Shapes that allure the senses and induces false confidence
Amongst others who toil under the same notion
That if they work hard enough
They’ll gain the boss’s devotion

Unaware the head office needs them more than they
Need the head office to provide them with pay
For without dirty fingernails and smelly clothes
What’s to stop the garbage from piling up in rows?
Who’s to handle all the folks with the tags on their toes?
Where can one go to drown away all their woes?

So
The next time you walk by and turn up your nose
Know
That when it comes back down and you look around
You might have to check your nails
And take a whiff of your clothes

I cant get enough of what I need
People all around me lettin me bleed
Waitin for the darkness to blind the heat
I make my livin out on the streets
Dirty livin, ahh, dirty livin
I cant wait any longer to set myself free
Flashin lights keep runnin through my brain
Someone find the doctor to ease all the pain
Traffic in the city is burnin me out
She makes me wanna jump up and shout
Dirty livin, ahh, dirty livin
I cant wait any longer to set myself free, ahh
I cant wait any longer to set myself free, ahh
No more, no more
Ive gotta get away
Dirty livin, dirty livin
Ahh, dirty livin
Main line out of china is due in tonight
Mother, sister, brother are lyin uptight
I can hear the jukebox poundin out loud
I take my fury out on the crowd
Dirty livin, ahh, dirty livin
I cant wait any longer to set myself free, ahh
I cant wait any longer to set myself free, ahh
No more, no more

Delusional Tool

He has made such a mess of things.
How dare he expose,
Our dirty clothes.

He brings attention and demeans.
And discloses,
Truth we oppose.

Popular he may be.
And yet he stings.
He speaks with too much honesty.
And that discomfort to us he brings.

He has made such a mess of things.
How dare he expose,
Our dirty clothes.

He brings attention and demeans.
And discloses,
Truth we oppose.

With ammunition given,
To our enemies they use.
Showing us to be beneath perfection.
And perfect we are.
Since this is what we will always choose.

Our filthy laundry has always been ours...
To hide and deny.
Who is he to determine,
Our way of life...
Has been a delusional tool?

His truthfulness is appalling.

Clean Up Your Own Backyard

(words & music by b. strange - s. davis)
Back porch preacher preaching at me
Acting like he wrote the golden rules
Shaking his fist and speeching at me
Shouting from his soap box like a fool
Come sunday morning hes lying in bed
With his eye all red, with the wine in his head
Wishing he was dead when he oughta be
Heading for sunday school
Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine
Drugstore cowboy criticizing
Acting like hes better than you and me
Standing on the sidewalk supervising
Telling everybody how they ought to be
Come closing time most every night
He locks up tight and out go the lights
And he ducks out of sight and he cheats on his wife
With his employee
Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine
Armchair quarterbacks always moanin
Second guessing people all day long
Pushing, fooling and hanging on in
Always messing where they dont belong
When you get right down to the nitty-gritty
Isnt it a pity that in this big city
Not a one alittle bitty manll admit
He could have been a little bit wrong
Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me, dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine
