Man is half blind.
Hope is not a certainty;
Guess is not a certainty.
So are perception and prediction.
Intuition is an illusion.
Yet they are the only aids
With which man walks, half blind.

The candle of hope
Hope for the hopeless and hope for the lost.
No matter the price, whatever the cost.
Jesus had come and was willing to pay
being born as a babe that first Christmas day.
Hope that's a certainty, hope that is sure.
Though the earth is shaken I am secure.
Trusting in Jesus and safe in His care.
Knowing THAT He's with me and always there.
Hope Through Faith
A faith in God is bigger than, the understanding of common man,
It’s a Hope that many don’t see, on this temporal side of Eternity.
The Christian’s hope, continues on, when all earthly hope is gone,
A hope beyond this present earth, hope in God, of Eternal Worth.
Our hope is more of a certainty, of the things that we do not see,
An eternal kingdom soon to come, ushered in by God’s own Son.
This certainty is the basis for, our inner peace and so much more,
A hope centered on Jesus Christ, this as we live out our daily life.
We’re given a sense of security, in an earthly Kingdom, yet to be,
And who do we receive this from, The Eternal Ruler sure to come,
Soon to return, in all His Majesty, to rule upon earth, into Eternity,
To reign over all, not just some, while on His Throne in Jerusalem.
It’s not just knowing God above, but accepting the Savior’s Love,
Who became a curse upon a tree, so all who believe live eternally,
To grant real Hope, to everyone, who believes in God’s Only Son,
Who became for all a Sacrifice, so that man could enter Paradise.
With present life, temporal friend, our worldly cares soon will end,
When we hear the Trumpet sound, we’ll be lifted from this ground,
To meet Christ, up in the clouds, gathered round His Holy crowds,
As present hope becomes reality, not just for now but for eternity.

Humans may crave absolute certainty; they may aspire to it; they may pretend, as partisans of certain religions do, to have attained it. But the history of science teaches that the most we can hope for is successive improvement in our understanding, learning from our mistakes, an asymptotic approach to the Universe, but with the proviso that absolute certainty will always elude us.

On Line For Life
your life is on line
machine still traces
records your heartbeats
displayed on monitor
electronic proof
witness you still live
your life electronically pulses
beep beep beep beeps
with faint pulsing echo certainty
grasp it with certainty
take it and live
in moments of hope

Were There Hope
I was never in a league of noble gentlemen
To whom she'd cast polite and flitting smiles,
Only distant hope and dying dreams for me!
Or perhaps descent into a game of wiles
To give a chance of sipping wine on heady nights
With her angelic presence to declare;
Above, an aura playing out hypnotic hues,
And I in awe of blonde cascades of hair.
But no! my tiring soul is sinking in a mire
To haunt me for an age and evermore, for
How could I expect to hold her silken hand
When I am but a soulless ghost of yore?

When and how are obscure.
Death is a certainty;
But ‘when’ and ‘how’
Aren’t a certainty.
That is why we made gods

ITill Exhaled -“Inspired by Viola’s Anticipation”
The lingo of “hope” I spoke-
“Certainty” hope’s bonded fettered slave
Tongue rolled out sun
Cleaving clouds of doubts
I spoke hope; retrieval whence blasphemous-
A catharsis of uncertainty
I spoke of “you” in a monosyllable of “us”
I knew of tremors, tsunamis and jolts
But I said “us” alive, awake to
undoable [heady damage]
I inhaled you as I whispered……. “hope”

Never tell evil of a man, if you do not know it for certainty, and if you know it for a certainty, then ask yourself, 'Why should I tell it'

If you forsake a certainty and depend on an uncertainty, you will lose both the certainty and the uncertainty.
Sunrise of Hope
Hope rises in our hearts
like the sunrise over a
snow-capped mountain peak,
reaching up to the skies.
Hope gives us gladness
from dawn to dusk,
flooding our souls with
heaven's sweetest music.
Hope assures us of a
rousing victory over defeat,
of a glorious certainty
that the best is yet to come.
Hope opens our eyes
to the beauty of life
and the tranquil walk of faith.
Hope makes us aware
of a God of compassion and kindness,
who touches our wintry despair
with His amazing love.
In the midst of life's stormy seas,
we will have perfect peace,
if Christ is our Captain,
our hope and our guide.
Ring the joybells of life
as we fly on the wings of hope,
with Christ as our Pilot.
Enjoy the glorious sunrise
of hope over the mountains of life.

But teleological considerations can lead no further than to a belief and a hope. They do not give certainty.

You must assume
There is no certainty
That Jesus was born on December 25th.
There is no certainty
That the departed soul exists and hears us.
There must be assumptions
Where there are no evidences available.
Assumptions agreed on,
They should not be disputed wantonly.

Whether gods exist or not, there is no way to get absolute certainty about ethics. Without absolute certainty, what do we do? We do the best we can.
