Speedy Marie
Had a bit part
An endless reel
It always played in slo-mo
But now its fast
A spinning wheel
I know the dynamo
My heart
Is cast
Speedy marie
Ahead of the now
Shes better built thats how
Shes built for speed
Speedy marie
Speedy marie
Oh, yes indeed
I said to me
And so I sing this romaunt
Its not enough
My liberty
There is a thing I want
I need
I love
Speedy marie
Ahead of the now
Shes better built thats how
Shes built for speed
Speedy marie
Speedy marie
Juxtaposed in each moments sight
Everything that I ever saw
And my one delight
Nothing can strike me in such awe
Mouth intricate shapes the voice that speaks
Always it will soothe
Rarer none are the precious cheeks
Is the size of each sculpted tooth
Each lip and each eye
Wise is the tongue, wet of perfect thought
And softest neck where always do i
Lay my clumsy thoughts
She is that most lovely art
Happy are my mind and my soul and my heart

A Flow of Love
Yeah!
Slow and Slow
ye stare
with eyes-
eyes innocent
as doe
Slow and Slow
you emptied
my cup
A cup
of woe
Slow and Slow
ye vanquished
my foes
hidden
inner foes
Slow and Slow
Ye pour
A wine of joy
in a goblet
with glow
Slow and Slow
Ye stamp
my cells
from
head to toe
Slow and slow
Ye weed out
ignorance
with your
divine hoe
Slow and slow
Ye open
petals
of my mind
for glorious show
Slow and slow
you rescued
me from claws
A dangerous
Maya's claws
Slow and slow
you weeded
out my flaws
habitual
mortal flaws
Slow and slow
Ye brought me
under yoke
A yoke
of divine law
Slow and slow
please come
in my life
with your
majestic flow
Because
Our separation
waiting on death row
our rendezvous
hot desert in a
storm of snow

Former and Latter
If I Weep,
I want
it to be Torrents;
if I Cry, ,
make it Tsunami;
if I Lust
have me be Ravenous;
If Sad,
have my eyes
Glow in the Dark.
Empathy for me
must be Complete;
Love All Consuming;
Pity must be
the Heights of Grief;
Death must be
Really Dead.
No half way measures;
they are the Necro-Nibbles of Life.
The Greeks counseled
Moderation in all things
but they did not;
Democracy is an extreme
form of Individualism
and Sexually they
did not
cease at the Moderation Crease.
The Truth here
is that Creativity
only comes at the extremes
but not without its price;
one that I will pay
for an Extreme Life
rather than the alternative-
Slow Moderate Death.
These are sometimes
choices we make;
giddy Risky Risk
or Slow Suffocation;
or being mugged in life
slow frame
by slow frame.
Put me down
for the former
you can take the latter.

Clean Paws
These days call for sarcastic measures.
'You mean 'drastic' measures! '
No...
Those days have passed.
If drastic measures had been taken,
When first warned foundations were shaking...
Sarcastic comments about blind leadership,
That should be leashed by seeing eye dogs...
Would not be made to flowingly cascade.
To parade in mud like they do today!
IF those blinded by the power of 'dirt'...
Had apologized for not having clean paws.

I'm confident that we have measures in place. And the additional measures that we announced yesterday will be even more protective of our food supply in this country.

Karate
Two people dressed in white
take steps around each other,
and around their middles
black bands are tied.
Like lightning bolts feet shoot out
are averted fast as thunder,
a fist is folded deadly
and held in a striking blow.
Shapes move like spectres in a dangerous dance,
eagles get wings with speed and course
and four eyes measures courage, measures speed,
measures soul, body and craft.

Marking Time
I realise that walking down the street isn't a race,
But, compared to you, I have a much quicker pace.
Against me, it's like you have committed a crime,
When I am trapped behind you, semi marking time.
Please can you not stop in front of me, and then turn;
It really is very annoying, as you, one day, may learn.
I'd appreciate it if you moved to the side of the street,
If you are not actually intending to move your two feet.
When stopping in the middle of a pavement, you may find,
Looks of annoyance on the faces of those people behind.
I've had an amazing idea for a really good invention:
Human indicators, so that I can predict your intentions!
My hopes of a speedy journey, have often been dashed,
When into slow walking tourists, I have almost crashed.
To me, it seems like everyone moves so incredibly slow;
Come on, you guys! Move those feet! GO! GO! GO!

Slow Down
Written by dan peek, 1977
Found on harbor.
I hear you knockin but you cant come in
You wear your stockings like you think its a sin
Dont try to tell me you aint been where you been
cause I know that youve been messin round with him
So slow down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Come on down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Oh down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Before it gets too late
Before it gets too late
I met you dancin at the high school gym
You rubbed against me my head started to spin
You turned around gave me a wink and a grin
And then you told me that youd like to be friends
Dont slow down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Dont slow down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Dont slow down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Dont slow down
Before it gets too late
Before it gets too late
Take it!
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
On down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
On down
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Dont try to tell me
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Youll never sell me
(bop shoo wop, youd better slow down)
Before it gets too late
I said before it gets too late
You know before it gets too late
Oh, hey

Faster Astronaut
Faster than the velocity of the sun,
Harder in weight than the learn of the monk,
Conference is on tonight,
And over there is a speedy long look of stars.
We have unique character in space,
Where meanings are placed;
Such that screening the planet is safe,
Of a global level, of level with the globe.
Fast is not slow for this flash astronaut,
He binds on a dark matter, tonight,
Only he is in this mess.
Why do you see him in this mess?

Sonnet XXXIV: The Star of My Mishap
The star of my mishap impos'd this paining,
To spend the April of my years in wailing
That never found my fortune but in waning,
With still fresh cares my present woes assailing.
Yet her I blame not, though she might have blest me,
But my desire's wings, so high aspiring,
Now melted with the sun that hath possess'd me,
Down do I fall from off my high desiring,
And in my fall do cry for speedy speedy.
No pitying eye looks back upon my mourning,
No help I find when now most favor need I;
Th'ocean of my tears must drown me burning.
And this my death shall christen her anew,
And give the cruel Fair her title do.

Homage
today i pay homage
to the turtle and for those like it
are too slow
for almost anything
its inability to cope up with the
arrogant and speedy rabbit
the subject of
too much mockery
in that snail-paced history
today i pay homage
to persistence and flexibility
to patience and stoicism
to faith that grows steadily within the hearts of every man
that respect for every block of brick
that makes the long winding gate of protection
that composes the great wall
of the house
for every step
that does the ways of master builder
though small and slow
yet still sure
today i pay homage for all the other
slow processes
of solitude
those quiet manners of the
grass and the leaves
the tender climb of the tendrils on the trellis of the fence
the steady flourishing of the
petals on the sepals of the
morning flower
today i pay homage to
those tiny green turtles anchored
quietly
beside the gleaming stone of the ancient pond
of our civilization
those sleepy eyes under the moon
full of wisdom
showered by the rain and sunshine of the ages
not rushing for anything
they are all here
undisturbed and thriving still
not hurting anyone

Slow Burn
Here shall we live in this terrible town
Where the price for our minds
Shall squeeze them tight like a fist
And the walls shall have eyes
And the doors shall have ears
But well dance in their dark
And theyll play with our lives
Like a slow burn
Leading us on and on and on
Like a slow burn
Turning us round and round and round hark who are we
So small in times such as these
Slow burn
Slow burn
Oh, these are the days
These are the strangest of all
These are the nights
These are the darkest to fall
But who knows?
Echoes in tenement halls
Who knows?
Though the years spare them all
Like a slow burn
Leading us on and on and on
Like a slow burn
Twirling us round and round
And upside down
Theres fear overhead
Theres fear overground
Slow burn
Slow burn
Like a slow burn
Leading us on and on and on
Like a slow burn
Turning us round and round and round and here are we
At the center of it all
Slow burn
Slow burn
Slow burn

Symptoms
Symptoms,
Measures,
To counter! !
And like the symptoms of the Dutch disease,
But the phenomenon of your love is like the deep blue sea.
An increase in the price of your product is know to us,
But the ship will always sail on the sea;
And like the indicative measures of the symptoms of your love.

Slow Dancing
My love is cruel as the night
She steals the sun, and shuts out the light
All of my colors, they turn to blue
Win or lose
She does it slow dancing
Slow dancing
She does it slow...dancing
All night long
Scarlet eyes and a see-through heart
She saw me coming right from the start
She picked me up, but had me down on my knees
Just a beggin her, beggin her please
Take me slow dancing
Slow dancing
She took me slow...dancing
All night long
And I dont know a man
Search for himself in his lovers eyes
No I dont know why a man
Sees the truth but needs the lies
My love is restless as the wind
She moves like a shadow across my skin
She left with my conscience, I dont want it back
It just gets in the way
If you wanna go slow dancing
Slow dancing
She took me slow...dancing
All night long
Slow...dancing
Slow...dancing
Slow...

Silver Mines in the Sky
Moist Silver mines
waiting dark and deep
When will come the time
when miners take the leap?
Blast charges,
Rock removal,
Tunnels to be made
Slow Measures,
Due Process,
Tracks to be laid
Silver deposits
cluttered together
will soon be extracted
but not today
A job deemed protracted

Hazey Jane
Do you curse where you come from,
Do you swear in the night
Will it mean much to you
If I treat you right.
Do you like what you're doing,
Would you do it some more
Or will you stop once and wonder
What you're doing it for.
Hey slow Jane, make sense
Slow, slow, Jane, cross the fence.
Do you feel like a remnant
Of something that's past
Do you find things are moving
Just a little too fast.
Do you hope to find new ways
Of quenching your thirst,
Do you hope to find new ways
Of doing better than your worst.
Hey slow Jane, let me prove
Slow, slow Jane, we're on the move.
Do it for you,
Sure that you would do the same for me one day.
So try to be true,
Even if it's only in your hazey way.
Can you tell if you're moving
With no mirror to see,
If you're just riding a new man
Looks a little like me.
Is it all so confusing,
Is it hard to believe
When the winter is coming
Can you sign up and leave.
Hey slow Jane, live your lie
Slow, slow jane, fly on by.
