After Thoughts About William
did i tell you that in this life what we see is what we get?
like william's
red wheel
barrow
words are things
and things are words
interchangeable
you see what i see
but what i see need not be what you know
and what you know
need not be seen by me
just like a red
wheel
barrow beside the
white
chickens
it is great
behind the lines is this child's death
eyes closing
forever
you stand by the side of the window
helplessly looking somewhere where you become nothing
but
this speck of dust
falling on that red
wheel
barrow glazed by rain
water beside the white chickens
a thought falling
endlessly on a chasm that sinks deep within you
helplessly, you,
just stand there for in truth we are here just to see how things come and go
and then we go too, like the white chickens

End of the Month!
*Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1,1910 - May 23,1934) and Clyde Chestnut Barrow (March 24,1909 - May 23,1934) were well-known outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. Their gang was known as the 'Barrow Gang' which included Bonnie and Clyde, and at times Buck Barrow, Blanche Barrow, Raymond Hamilton, W.D. Jones, Joe Palmer, Ralph Fults, and Henry Methvin. Their exploits captured the attention of the American public during the 'public enemy era' between 1931 and 1934. Though known today for his dozen-or-so bank robberies, Barrow in fact preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations. The gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed in Louisiana by law officers. Their reputation was cemented in American pop folklore by Arthur Penn's 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde
O the poor man's execution days?
Electricity bill, water, cable
and house rent
Citation ticket for parking at Paradise road?
Check Engine light flickers
Right side of the front flat tyre
and in the spare wheel too no air?
Wife grumbles her severe abdominal pains
and I whispered to her ear; 'Are you pregnant? '
She's angry!
I filled my water pistol thinking of the old movie
*'Bonnie & Clyde' and here the grand son comes
Reminds me of my old saying; 'Be a Lion Grandpa
among the dirty wolves.'
It's another painful wake up?

Bible Burning III
'Look', I protested, 'I voted for Obama. And I probably will again. And I have a degree from bible school that I still owe for. So, there'.
The hulking form shrugged, mumbled something and continued dancing.
Someone, obviously a colleague, ran up with a wheel-barrow full of slightly worn Gideons', doubtless collected from the surrounding hotels. These he dumped alongside the raging bon-fire.
'More fuel', he cackled. 'Hey, is this guy botherin' you'?
'Nah, 'e's just tryin' t' get warm. We're havin' a conversation.
This, I thought, was fair.
'Oh, ok'.
And turning about he drove his wheel-barrow off.
S'Ah'g'wan. So arrest me, already.
'You couldn't afford a lawyer', I said, disdainfully.I will not have those bibles treated like Qu'rans.
'Lawyers', he cried, and spat. Lawyers think they're above the law'.
I had obviously touched a nerve.

Desmond Barrow
Was a singer, lost his voice
Was sent by his doctor to
a Sangatarium – a resort
for the improvement of
one’s voice; met Molly, a
nurse – also liked to sing,
heard her rehearse; told
Molly she had a pretty
voice, would she like to
come sing in his band;
In a couple of years they
built-up the band, changed
the name to the ‘Barrow
Gang’ – Desmond’s middle
name was Clyde, Molly’s
middle and last were Bonnie
and Parker - their music and
singing was as melodious as
a Chicago Typewriter; were
not a hit with the ‘G Men’,
They claimed the Barrow
Gang stole from the rich
song writers, and sang the
songs to the poor; were
soon tried for copyright
infringement and sent up
‘da lazy river without a you
know what’...

so much depends
upon
