Be not deceived with the first appearance of things, for show is not substance.

Rear View Mirror
Uh Yeah
A Keys
Rear View
Uh Oh Uh Oh
Uh Oh Uh Oh
AK 2000
Oh Uh Oh
It happened quickly
All of a sudden
I was caught up with another man
Who wanted
To be closer
But now
I know better and I'm
Hoping
We Can
Start Again
I know that there's nothing for me what I have done
So
Let me show how deep my love goes
For you
Cos you'll really live and learn and that's how you find out who is true
And I found out that you were the one
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror
Now that we are
Back again together
I want to show you
How I'm made from heaven
I'll do my best to shower
You with a bit of 'tention
Don't ever have to mention
This song if it ends
I know that there's nothing for me what I have done
So
Let me show how deep my love goes
For you
Cuz you'll really live and learn and that's how you find out who is true
And I found out that you were the one
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror
I can't change what I had done before
But now I know that you love me so much more
Than anything that had ever come my way
Keep your eyes on what we have today
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror
We can get best of this
Don't have to go so fast
We can get rid of them in the rear view mirror
I was deceived
Baby please forgive me
Don't know what we had to change
It's easier for us to get further
Don't look in the rear view mirror

Hebrews 11: 1
Faith is the substance of things hoped for
the light of the Lord that opens the door
Reveling the light of heaven serene
the evidence of things not seen
My God has revealed the evidence
His glorious power with consequence
Healing me and making me clean
the evidence of things not seen
Faith in Christ without reservation
releaved the pain of my aberration
So open His book to see what I mean
the evidence of things not seen
Faith is the substance of things hoped for
the evidence of things not seen

Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover
Don’t judge me by the way I look
and by the way I have my hair.
Don’t judge me by my dirty shoes
and by the way my jeans have tears.
Don’t think because I have tattoos
that I’m not nice to know.
Don’t think because I swear
that I have no feelings to show.
My appearance is a defence
to how I feel inside.
My sensitivity is my weakness
so my appearance is just a lie.

Style vs Substance
As a TV show...
The first episode,
Will always overflow with style.
A longevity is promised.
And to heighten intensity,
Hype will always succeed.
But as far as substance goes...
Those who oppose style,
Have already been sold...
On a substance shown.
Since one excellent performance,
Does not guarantee a supportive audience.

In this dispensation
In this dispensation
My message to the future generation
In this dispensation
Life is full of lies and atrocities
Neither the sword nor the gun
Can save you under the sun
Don't be deceived by appearance
Don't be deceived by materials
Knowing the difference between
Good and evil is the key
That which unlocks
The doors of eternity
In this dispensation
Life is full of illusion
It is full of superstition
Know that not all gritters are gold
The truth is difficult to say
But be bold
Life is full of oppression
But only the truth brings satisfaction
So learn the truth
In this dispensation

You Just Haven't Discovered That Yet
'Mommie?
What is substance and quality?
We've been given an assigment,
To describe what it is in an essay.'
Substance is something one wishes to have,
When a missing of a quality has been overpriced.
'I see.
So...
In other words,
You're telling me...
You have no clue either.'
What did your father say about it?
'He said,
Substance is something sacrificed...
When the quality of it has been diminished,
To the getting of it only lasting for two minutes.'
Go tell your father,
He need not worry about the quality of the substance,
Any longer.
'Why is it,
When I ask you two a question...
The answers have nothing to do,
With my assignment.'
They do.
And they will.
You just haven't discovered that yet.

Empty As The Air
A life of substance, is always one that is desired.
But what of the substance you speak of?
How do you define it?
For ones man's junk is another man's treasure.
Substance is what we make of it.
Leading an interesting life in the gallows, could be considered a life of substance if that is what he desires.
Are you trying say he is saying pity me I have not lived an interesting life, one full of life changing, learning, and ever different experiences?
Do go on, as we investigate the brain.
Put it under some light.
What is really their?
Hmm, I can only wonder.
Maybe it is something empty as the air.

Take Me With You
(released as b-side of we wait and we wonder cd single, 1994)
If you see the light on in the window of my room
Ill be looking out though the shades are drawn
If you should hear someone quietly calling out for your hair
Dont be alarmed it might just be me
Take me with you, take me there
Ill go with you anywhere
Show me all the things you know
Are you with me, are you there
Ill be with you everywhere
Show me all the things you know, you know, you know, you know
The sun always seems to shine on the other side of the mountain
The water is clearer on the other side of the hill
All that water comes to me, ooh as I lay down
Where I am is where I should be
Take me with you, take me there
Ill go with you anywhere
Show me all the things you know - oh
Are you with me, are you there
Ill be with you everywhere
Show me all the things you know
Im holding them close to me
All those things I learned
But theres no questions and answers
So we watch the candle burn, on and on
So the candle burns all night, burns so bright until morning
When I wake I find myself alone
So if you see me - are you here? - hear someone cry, calling out
Rescue me and take me home - take me home
Take me with you, take me there
Ill go with you anywhere
Show me all the things you know - you know
Take me with you, take me with you
Take me with you, take me with you
Show me all the things you know
Please show me
Please take me, show me
Just take me, show me...

It's Not The Fabric
It's not the fabric.
It is the tampering with the pattern,
To sell it as quality...
That has begun to show an unravelling,
At the seams of a once highly regarded product.
We need those who are competent.
We've already sought the impressive cheap way of doing things.
And look what that has done to our appearance.

Let Go of Feeling Low and Busted
Let go of feeling low and busted,
Because of those once trusted...
Have disappointed to leave you in grief.
With a taking of your trust to crush it.
Breathe a sigh of relief.
Your feelings can be easily changed.
Since those who have deceived you,
Have deceived others too.
And you only have two eyes to dry.
Deceivers looking for a place to hide...
Will be crying for the rest of their lives.
Despised by more than one pair of eyes.
Your feelings can be easily changed.
Since those who have deceived you,
Have deceived others too.
And the lives they 'had' lived doing it,
Will never be the same.

Camouflaging Content
In it for the money!
In it for the 'show' of things!
In it to bedazzle...
Flashing cash and 'bling'
In it for the ego.
Hoping to be noticed.
Hoping to catch someone's eye,
And remaining in their focus!
Camouflaging content...
Of which there is an absence.
Trying to stay relevant,
In times when substance
Has lost all meaning meant!

Let Me In
Let me in, inside of you
With my love let it soothe
Taking you up, and lying you down
Riding with you all around.
Let me in, inside of you
The voice I heard it speak
I'll tell you things, you never known
And places you've always wished.
I'll tell you things no one knows
Places only I have seen
I'll show you how true loves grows
And what makes all man weak.
Then I'll tell you why women cry
For the love, they'll soon deny
Then I'll show you love inside of us
That's always been out of sight.
Let me in - inside of you
I'll show you many things
I'll show you champions, I'll show you kings
While I'm inside your dreams,
I'll be with you every night
Answers to you I will give
I will show you love, then I'll show you hate
I'll show you love so true
Then I'll tell you why, lovers cry
If you let me; inside of you..

I listen to the silence
I Listen To The Silence
Darkness about me
In the somnolent silence
The silence has substance
As thick as can be
silence about me
as loud as a scream
In a nightmarish dream
It can terrify me
Silence has a feel
Of darkness in velvet cloaked
As a desperate cry being choked
Phantasmic, yet real
As Quiet surrounds me
The silence has substance
The absence of presence
is deafening to me
Sounds whispery as paper
Things scurry about me
Sounds, soft, sad and scaly
Like venom and vapour
Silence is sound incomplete
Silence whirs, silence hums
Silence throbs, silence thrums
Silence has it’s own heartbeat
Quiet has movement,
Tho’ever so slow
Quiet has substance
and how do I know?
I listen to the silence...
as you do also

How Many Questions Our Life Arise
Not looking at anybody doesn't mean not to see,
To do the things you like doesn't mean to be free.
To be at the very verge of life doesn't mean to die.
And standing on the ground doesn't mean not to fly.
And how much to pepper so that all could be well?
And how much to sugar to sweeten the hell?
To live a normal life doesn't mean not to dream.
But how long to wait realizing that dream?
How loudly shout to suppress a whisper?
What questions to ask to recognize a twister?
Do not forgiving offense is not to keep the evil,
A beautiful appearance can hide the devil.
Not screaming with pain, doesn't mean not to suffer.
To be deceived, does not mean to be a duffer.
How cool to be to avoid the passion?
And how sensitive to be to see the affection?
Many questions in our tough life arise.
The answers are found if you are enough wise.
