An uninvited guest is worse than the Mongol invasion.
I ended up living at OJ's because Nicole bought a home that no longer had a guest house. OJ offered his guest house to me. Anybody in LA looking for a place knows the best places to live are guest houses.

The Guest Is 'Trouble
There is a guest and a host
child and servant,
eternity and vanity,
The guest is trouble.
In sickness, health is the host
he gives way to sickness
that the power of truth is depicted
the guest is 'trouble'
In pain, comfort is the host
who concedes the pain
that the vanity of darkness is depicted
the guest is 'trouble'
In death, life is the host
who gives way to death
that the power of resurrection is shown
the guest is 'trouble'
Life is eternal, death is a moment.
health is a fruit, sickness is a leaf
that falls from a tree of life.
They soon wither and waste away.
Be strong, it's not too long
the guest will leave.
and the host will have it all
The guest is 'trouble'

But also, the guest workers program, it's quite often misused, meaning people could come in as part of a guest workers program and after two weeks in the fields, they'd run off to do every other kind of job that isn't covered by a guest workers program.

Free Of Lip
The ones who are quick to assume,
Can be counted upon to initiate rumors.
And don't ask twice,
From them to give opinion.
Or listen to their advice.
The giving of it already comes unsolicited.
If familiy members become confused,
And neighbors are found spreading...
News untrue,
Head for the ones...
With their mouths on ears.
Stuck to them like teeth to chewing gum.
And those ears choosing to stayed glued,
To the ones who are free of lip...
Prefabricating fresh gossip,
Soon will discover...
Who has been making daily deposits,
To aid to all of their misunderstandings and confusion.
The ones who are quick to assume,
Can be counted upon to initiate rumors.
And don't ask twice,
From them to give opinion.
Or listen to their advice.
The giving of it already comes unsolicited.

Treat your guest as a guest for two days -- then on the third day give him a hoe.
Treat your guest as a guest for two days; on the third day, give him a hoe.
Guest
Guest came and returned back
I am unlucky not able to know
And slept.
Guest came and returned back
I lost all the beauty and richness
That I have kept.
Guest came and returned back.

It is equally wrong to speed a guest who does not want to go, and to keep one back who is eager. You ought to make welcome the present guest, and send forth the one who wishes to go.
I do like to live in other people's homes. I enjoy being a guest. I am an inexpensive guest. When one lives in another's home he can enter into the psychic kingdom of that person.

The first day a guest, the second day a guest, the third day a calamity.
Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 14
A year of dearth set in at Alexandria so that even a dervish lost the reins of patience from his hands, the pearls of heaven were withheld from the earth and the lamentations of mankind ascended to the firmament.
There was no wild beast, fowl, fish or ant
Whose wailings prompted by distress had not reached the sky.
For a wonder the heart-smoke of the people did not condense
To form clouds and the torrents of their tears rain.
In such a year there was an hermaphrodite. I owe it to my friends not to describe him because it would be an abandonment of good manners, especially in the presence of great men. On the other hand, it would likewise be improper and in the way of negligence not to mention anything about him because certain people would impute it to the ignorance of the narrator. Accordingly I shall briefly describe him in the following two distichs because a little indicates much and a handful is a sample of a donkey load.
If a Tatar slays that hermaphrodite
The Tatar must not be slain in return.
How long will he be like the bridge of Baghdad
With water flowing beneath and men on the back?
Such a man, a portion of whose eulogy thou hast now heard, possessed in that year boundless wealth, bestowed silver and gold upon the needy and laid out tables for travellers. A company of dervishes who were by the presence of distress on the point of starvation were inclined to accept of his hospitality and consulted me on the subject but I struck my head back from assenting and replied:
A lion does not eat the half of which a dog consumed
Although he may die of hunger in his lair.
Though getting rich in wealth and property like Feridun
A worthless man is to be considered of no account.

More and more, unsolicited gifts from without are likely to be received with unconscious resentment.

It Can Not Get Any Worse Than This!
'It can not get any worse than this! '
I've heard that expressed many times,
Over the years.
And over the years...
Worse it gets.
As if the worse of it,
Is being monitored by those...
Who are closely watching and placing bets.
It is similar to the calls for unity and peace.
If this is not done periodically,
People feel there is something missing.
Like a Sunday that passes...
Without hypocrisies and stated faith,
From lips being released.
We are a society of steadfast procrastinators.
'It can not get any worse than this! '
Some say that as if they are impatiently waiting.
Hoping and praying to proclaim themselves as witnesses.
