Toughest Street In Town

Outside the window the neon flashes
In the morning light
Down on the sidewalk theres a woman with a problem
But she dont know how to fight
Shes destitute and broken down
She softly whispers is there no one around
And no one hears the sound
Her knees give way and hit the ground
This is the toughest street in town
This is the toughest street in town
This is the toughest street in town
This is the toughest
Like a rat in a pack it attacks
From the back
Through a crack in a track
And you take a smack
This jack has had a hard day
No one told him it would be like this
Hes had to score the hard way
Working on twenty hour shifts
This is the toughest street in town
This is the toughest
Its tough stuff
This is the toughest street around
This is the toughest
Dont you do down
No how
Its just another black spot
Where far too many people have died
Its just another grave yard
And theres not too many people left alive
This is the toughest
Are you tough enough
This is the toughest
Are you rough enough
This is the toughest
Can you bluff enough
Just a minor misery did me no harm
But its there to warn outside the window
The neon is still flashing in the morning light
Down on the sidewalk that woman was blown away
Out of sight
All across the city no one gives a damn
All across the city no one seems to understand
This is the toughest
This is the toughest street in town
This is the toughest street around
This is the toughest
Are you rough enough
This is the toughest
If I were you I wouldnt come around here
This is the toughest
This is the toughest
Are you tough enough

And God Created Woman

In a deep sleep I fell
And the music starts 2 swell
One of my ribs he took and it shall be
Bone of my bones (bone of my bones)
And God created woman
And we were naked and did not care
Theres a time 2 take and a time 2 share
2 in love, all around and all aware
Flesh of my flesh (flesh of my flesh)
And God created woman
Temptation sweet and so much (sweet and so much)
Surely die if neither one of us shall ye touch (shall ye touch)
Then again we could die from the rush (rush)
Heart of my heart (heart of my heart)
And God created woman (woman)
Woman
My-my-my-my-my-my woman
In my darkest hour I find
Many serpents who have lied (lied)
Given half the chance still Id run 2 your side (run 2 your side)
Love of my love (love of my love)
And God created woman (woman)
And if I never see u again
Its alright 4 I am guilty of no sin
They can have u, Ill have your love in the end
Soul of my soul (soul of my soul)
And God created woman
(God created woman)
(God created woman) (woman)
Flesh of my flesh
(God created woman) (soul)
(God created, God created woman)
(God created, God created woman)
(God created woman)

Immigrant

coming from where he did
he was turned away from
every door like joseph
to even the toughest among us
that would be too much
he didn't know what it was
to be black
'til they gave him his change but didn't want to touch
his hand
to even the toughest among us
that would be too much

isn't it just enough
how hard it is to live
isn't it hard enough
just to make it through a day

the secret of their fear
and their suspicion
standing there looking
like an angel
in his brown shoes
his short suit
his white shirt
and his cuffs a little frayed
coming from where he did
he was such a dignified child
to even the toughest among us
that would be too much

isn't it just enough
how hard it is to live
isn't it hard enough
just to make it through a day

coming from where he did
he was turned away from
every door like joseph
to even the toughest among us
that would be too much
he didn't know what it
was to be black
'til they gave him his change but didn't want to touch
his hand
to even the toughest among us
that would be too much

Battered Doll

A red dress for blood spilt,
Torn blouse for flesh rent;
Ladders in the stockings –
A rung for every callous blow landed.
Scuffed shoes winked about the kicks –
After all, bruise-gorged eyes can’t –
Just permanently closed.

Burning tears were scant warmth
Against a chill from ugly cries.

Lipstick smudges on the chin to
Nullify all vestiges of beauty –
Those that constituted rare patches
Of purest cream skin, from
Days of feminine joy, telling once
Upon a time there was an angel…
But now, a battered doll.

The Hunt

Her face is a lightning strike
with prowling eyes
and razor sharp lips,
her tongue a dagger for an unfortunate heart.
She will kiss like an angel
with a viper's sting.
This is a dangerous love,
a scent that will not be denied.
Those hunting eyes pierce my swaggering shield.
The blood is up.
I am primed for the chase.
Hungry for the kill.

Arrow For You To Shoot

Shall I give you an arrow to shoot? .

The arrow is ready to shoot forth

Its tip is sharp and shining

And it is sure to pierce through any flesh and bone.

The arrow is made of age old metals hard

Its frame is lean and long

A shaft that knows no bounds...

And it is sure to strike at the object hard.

The arrow is loved by sages and saints

Its value is unquoted in scriptures ever

And it is sure to remain desired by all.

But where is the bow to shoot it from?

You decide... you alone

Instrument

Make me your
hammer.

I’ll pound
the stubborn nails down
til all boards become one.

Let me be a fierce nail,
and I’ll pierce your living flesh,
number all your bones.

My rough hand will smooth
away sin’s sharp edge
and bring low life’s
knot of corruption.

With gleaming blade
will I open a wound
pulsing joyfully in your side

to anoint with living blood
the guilty hands
of soldiers.

So use me, O builder,
and build your house
of many rooms.

The Story Of The Sharp Tongue

with the repetitive sound of sighs and symmetrical silence
the tongue has become sharp and it stabs hearts

it breaks open what has been closed all along and hidden
birds start breaking out from cages

and feathers are left as memories which somehow the one who is left
empty takes it to his heart and becomes his pen

the lonely man writes

with blood from his bleeding heart stabbed by the sharpness of his own
past

the sound becomes even more demanding like routine that you cannot refuse

and somehow the silence becomes irregular, asymmetrical taking the shape

of a scream, which the tongue most sharpened now
slices into dust

and this reaches to the conclusion that no matter how sharp the tongue can be

it too shall in the end turn into
dust..............................

there will be
earthquakes
many more
you fear injury

death one day
as God wills
we die maybe
I die here today

these are wake
up calls life is
life was always
lived in precious

heartbeats
time taken
for granted
so wake up

smell the roses
appreciate beauty
sweat floral smell
spread in beauty

grow beautiful
petals
many colours
scented

or grow
sharp thorns
to pierce
innocent flesh

a disciple of Freud

he is basically Freudian
sickness, any sickness is explainable

for instance
insanity is caused by denying the woman

of a man, in that empty hole of her flesh
something hard and stiff must fill it

something rainy must fill the cracks
of the summer heat

one must taste the paste of life
the thrushes of man's power over woman's softness

nothing must be left unexplained
even the usual slips of the tongue

Love Only I Want

A woman in frame attacks my bone.
A woman in shape thrashes my flesh.
A woman with passion whips my heart.
A woman sensual clips my mind.
A woman with strong vibes locks my soul.

Chauvinist

I’d never really comprehended such a mighty range of
Shapes and sizes down behind, it’s really rather strange:
The buttock muscle in a woman, overlaid with fat
Is actually such a focal point for men to want to pat

Or squeeze, and then to tease her if it’s eminently stout,
Or even risk a stay in clink to sting it with a clout!
After all, we men are tuned to be that way inclined –
And tho’ our needs are varied, girls, they’re all perverse of mind!

Best of all, our sacred dream: to see her shed her gown
When gliding to the shower for the ritual sponging down.
But then alas! With body lathered, oops! she drops the soap;
‘Please! ’ we beg her, ‘bend and bare! ’ But we can only hope!

I’m sure by now you get the picture – like a rule of thumb –
That men like me obsess all day about the fairer bum.

The nicest talks about woman.......

The nicest talks about woman.......

The woman the society was divided in the middle, she breeds his another equity.

Commensurate with a love of the woman her revenge is.

The stupidest woman is capable of cheating the most intelligent man.

The woman maybe will pardon the treason but don't forget it.

a woman heart`s is a pearl needs a skilled hunter.

the more beautiful way to let the woman change her suggestion, is agree with her.

The satan the professeur of the man and the student of the woman.

The woman like the soft herbs the breeze bends in front of but he is not broken by the storm.

The honest woman makes you swallow, and intelligent she agitates your interest, and a beauty to attract you, and the softy wins you.

The woman is always afraid of the intelligent man who mocks her.

The woman will remain an unidentified riddle, while the man believes that he is being capable of his dissolution.

The woman smiles when she is victorious, and she cries when she wants

The woman remain in twentieth in her age, till the last moment in her life.

the woman learnt from the snake: The dancing.. The perfidy.. and long tongue.

The woman lights the fire by her smile, and she tries to extinguish her by her tears.

Not the woman who birth the children, a woman who make to grow them.

The woman without virtue, like a rose without a nice smell.

the last thing die in a man is his heart, and in a woman is her tongue.

The woman like the lyre gives her secret to who knows the playing on her.

The woman a satan whose manufacture is perfect...

and still more and more..

Impromptu

Keep away from sharp swords
Don't go near a lovely woman.
A sharp sword too close will wound your hand;
Woman's beauty too close will wound your life!
The danger of the road is not in the distance;
Ten yards is far enough to break a wheel.
The peril of love is not in loving too often;
A single evening can leave its wound in the soul.

Her Fruit

A deep sleep fell on Adam and out of him came Eve,
'Bone from my bone and flesh from my flesh';
Oh woman my lover! You were taken out me.
Subtle and Crafty came around to deceive them,
'You will become as gods after eating this fruit';
And in pain and toll the woman brought forth children.
Of the seat of your face to make ends meet,
And of yout toil in the land to provide for yourselves;
'For the woman gave me her fruit and i ate it',
And there came sin to bond us in this world.

To A Friend That I Have Only Felt

if i shall not hear the sound of the wind again
i shall think of the shell

i shall imagine the flesh that once was there
the taste of my own tongue

i shall for a while remember but i cannot assure you
till when

for i am but a shell myself and time shall wrap me too
with emptiness

i shall be carried by the winds too and my tongue shall
not remember the taste of flesh the taste of water

and my skin shall not feel any coldness of the wind
my eyes cannot see what light has been in that previous darkness.

Time Leak

For centuries
we have lain like this,
our warmths intermingled,
our hearts beating
the same two-step,
& our breaths
& our limbs
intertwined.

Life after life,
I return to flesh
to join my flesh
to your flesh.
Sometimes I am the woman
& you the man;
sometimes,
the other way around.

It hardly matters.
Flesh after flesh,
our spirits return
to mingle.
Death is no barrier
& life's noisy matinee
where the suburban ladies
cough & sputter
& their programs crackle like kindling
merely goes on & on.

They sit on their deaths
as if they were sitting
on fur coats,
while we touch
for the first time
remembering
the next.

She Says She Is Not The Fourth Woman

I give her the benefit of the doubt
Well, when I wrote that poem she was inside my head
And I dived as a submarine
Into a little sea of understanding
And she is the periscope

There are waves and
Some uncertain destinations

Where to go
Where to stop

How to describe the places above land
And underwater

She was in my mind when I wrote that
And I gave her a lot of forms:
a bird,
a bat,
a dinosaur,
a fighter,
a warrior

And I was so sure about her, because
She once told me
About her agitations

I got premonitions though that when she reads it
She will deny herself
The pleasure of seeing her own movie
Her own character in the game
That she loves and she is
Really into.

Indeed, she says she is not.
I give her
Due process. She may not be that fourth woman
But to my mind

she is and she giggles in my brain

And she even asks me: how much is that brain?
That pound of flesh? Did you buy me respect?

Darling, my brain is yours through and through
My flesh is just a finger away, a lip away, a tongue away

Respect is not for sale,

it is earned

with time, and
Honesty
To feelings

Now, I give respect you respect.
You are that fourth woman.
You are the woman of my life.

I appear to you naked.
Touch me. Feel me.

Be honest.
Say that you love me.

Tell me that you care.

I am your submarine. You will be my sea and I will not be afraid

Of uncertain destinations. I am bound to be lost anyway.
