The Winner
Written by c. jackson, m. yancy and g. barge
In this world of make believe I must confess
To be number one youve got to do it better
And if you strive to be happy youll find success
Perspectively youve got to pull it together
Nothing good will come to you if you dont see
A reason for victory
Everybody loves the winner
Only the winner can really make things happen
Everybody loves the winner, so be the winner, I know you are
If theres something youd like to do youve never done
Dont let fear stand in your way
Just collect your dreams and thoughts and get on the run
I wouldnt wait another day
You can be the best in everything you do
When it thawls out, its all up to you
Everybody loves the winner (everybody loves the winner)
Only a winner can really make things happen
Everybody loves a winner (everybody loves a winner)
So be the winner you are
Be a winner, ooh (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Be a winner, ooh (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Be a winner, a winner, a winner, yes you can
cause everybody (everybody) loves (loves a winner)
The winner, so be a winner
You can only make things happen
Everybody (everybody) loves a winner (loves a winner)
So be the winner, I know you are
Every (everybody), everybody, (loves a winner)
Really loves the winner, (so be a winner)
Only the winner can really make things happen
Everybody (everybody) loves the winner (loves a winner)
So be a winner (so be a winner), I know you are if you really try
Be a winner, you know you can, you know you can
You know you can be a winner
(yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Scat (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Scat
(everybody) yeah, (loves a winner)
Scat
(everybody loves a winner)
(everybody) everybody really loves a winner (loves a winner)!

Im A Winner
(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
I roll the dice
Seven eleven
Youll either take me down
Or youll take me to heaven
And Im so glad
I took the chance on you baby
I said Im so glad
I took the chance on you baby
My friends all say
He dont play by the rules
So listen
Dont you be no fool
Dont you know, youre just a beginner
So look at me now
Im a winner
Im a winner
Yes, I am
Shes a winner
Yeah, yes I am
Shes a winner
Like a roulette wheel
Spinning around in my head
I put my chips on nine
Gamblin youd be mine
And Im so glad
I took a chance on you baby
Say Im so glad
I took the chance on you baby
My friends all say
We just dont understand it
You play this game
Youll come out empty handed
cause here we arrange her
And then shortchange her
But I fooled them, yall
Im a winner
Im a winner
Yes I am
Shes a winner
Yes I am
Put that money down
And put dem chips on nine
Im a gambling girl
And I give all I got
So I am at your love
And I hit the jackpot
And Im so glad
I took a chance on you baby
Im so glad
I took the chance on you baby

Winner Take All
Written by dennis deyoung, charles lofrando
Lead vocals by james young
Youve got to be strong
If youre going to make it baby
Youve got to stand tall
If youre going to survive
So just take my hand
And Ill show you how to feel alive
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Winner take all
Thats the way I play it
Playing my cards as the world goes by
Winner take all
Thats the way that I get high
You live your own life
Always needing someone baby
Then I appear to answer your call
Together I know
We can ride the highway past them all
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Winner take all
Thats the way I play it
Playing my cards as the world goes by
Winner take all
Thats the way that I get high
High high
Winner take all
Thats the way I play it
Playing my cards as the world goes by
Winner take all
Thats the way that I get high

Bad Boy
Oh no,
Don't want to be a bad boy.
Oh no,
You don't want to be the one destroyed.
I know,
You don't want to be a bad boy.
Don't you want to live your life with friends to enjoy?
Oh no,
Don't want to be a bad boy.
Oh no,
You don't want to be the one destroyed.
I know,
You don't want to be a bad boy.
Don't you want to live your life with friends to enjoy.
And have the freedom to resist those things that annoy.
Why, why, why and for what reason,
What is it that you wish to rush too quick?
And...
Who told you being slick would get it to you quicker!
I know...
Everything you want you've got to work for it.
But your getting closer to have hand cuffs on your wrists.
Oh no,
Don't want to be a bad boy.
Oh no,
You don't want to be the one destroyed.
I know,
You don't want to be a bad boy.
Don't you want to live your life with friends to enjoy.
And have the freedom to resist those things that annoy.
You just need to know,
You can be a winner.
You just need to know,
There is a winner in ya!
You just need to know,
You can be a winner.
You just need to know,
There is a winner in ya!
There is a winner there!
Oh,
And I know,
You don't want to be a bad boy.
Don't you want to live your life with friends to enjoy.
And have the freedom to resist those things that annoy.
Oh,
And I know,
You can be a winner.
You just need to know,
There is a winner in ya!
You just need to know,
You can be a winner.
You just need to know,
There is a winner in ya!
Oh...
And I know,
You're the winner.
You're the winner
You are that winner that is there!

All The Woman
Dont walk crowded streets
Choose every dream from a magazine stand
I dont buy into that
All day tv shows
Sell their souls just to make living easy
I dont buy into that
I dont need satin and lace no no no
Ill bring a smile to your face
Ill never be a fire but I will be the flame
Ill never be a diamond but Ill never be fake
No Ive never been a winner but I still play the game
Cant you see this is me
Im all the woman that I wanna be
Good times cant get enough
Life can be tough but its all for a reason
I sure buy into that
Life goes around and around
We seek what we found cause its all an illusion
I sure buy into that
I know the waters of fate
Will keep on flowing my way
Ill never be a fire but I will be the flame
Ill never be a diamond but Ill never be fake no no
Ive never been a winner but I still play the game
Baby cant you see this is me
Im all the woman that I want
Ive never been afraid of myself
I dont buy into that I dont buy into that
I dont wanna be nobody else I dont buy into that I dont buy into that I dont buy into that
Ill never be a fire but I will be the flame be the flame
Ill never be a diamond but Ill never be fake oh no no no
Ive never been a winner but I still play the game
Baby baby cant you see that this is me Im all the woman that I want all I wanna be
Ill never be a fire but I will be the flame be the flame
Ill never be a diamond but Ill never be fake oh no no no
Ive never been a winner but I still play the game

The Kingdom
Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the State is thus and thus;
Our legions wait at the Palace gate—
Little it profits us.
Now we are come to our Kingdom!
Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the Crown is ours to take—
With a naked sword at the Council board,
And under the throne the snake.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !
Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the Realm is ours by right,
With shame and fear for our daily cheer,
And heaviness at night.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !
Now we are come to our Kingdom,
But my love's eyelids fall.
All that I wrought for, all that I fought for,
Delight her nothing at all.
My crown is of withered leaves,
For she sits in the dust and grieves.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !

My Cruelty
My cruelty is stronger than a manner
That repels the hearts of men,
My cruelty wittily describes the burden,
Let burden be doubt and description.
The callous men and women can bear
The ideas of a devilish plan,
The cruelty of men is not ideal
But strong, and it strengthens ideas.
Life jolts to sustain, life bears fearful
Cruelty, and this means godly work
Is the superior chant.
My accusations are numerous,
My cruelty is exceptional for me
And guilt can never be a reality.

Crown of Gold, Crown of Thorn
In any quest for love, just like many others
A winner is proclaimed from all the contenders
The shining crown of gold, just one but who would wear
Decided by a judge, the heart or mind, either
and the winner is...
In this ever changing world, it's not easy to say
Who the real winner is till come the time and day
Was it the winner who lost or the loser who won
Or did the crown of gold became a crown of thorn
In this uncertain world, no one can ever say
Who'll really win or lose, only the time and day

Kingdom Come
See the white light
The light within
Be your own disciple
Fan the sparks of will
For all of us waiting
Our kingdom has come
Rays of power shinning
Rays of magic fall
On the golden voice that speaks within us all
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come
Kingdom Come
Feel the white light
The light within
Yea it burns a fire that drives a man to win
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come
Kingdom Come
Words of power
Calling to us all
Holding us together while other kingdoms fall
No longer waiting
Our kingdom has come
Kingdom Come
Kingdom comming
Another kingdom falls
The rightful are waiting
But all are not rightful
Wait and receive the weight of the fall
Kingdom Come

Number One
Words and music by joni mitchell
Got to be a winner--trophy winner
Get to hold your head up high up!
Number one!
Got to be a winner--trophy winner
Get to hold your head up high up!
Number one!
Number one
Number one
Honey tell me--
When your working day is done--
Were you reaching for the high rung--
Reaching to be number one?
You get a car
You want a boat
You want an eenie-meenie-miney miney-moe
Oh there must be more to living
Than a mortgage and a lawn to mow
Sweaty work
And lucky breaks
And blood and tears is all it takes
To be a winner!
People cheer
And people gasp
People want your autograph
When youre a winner!
Run, run, run, run
Lets see you run
Well be betting by the starting gun!
Shall we shower you with flowers
Or shall we shun ya
When your race is run?
Will we shower you with flowers
Or will we shun ya
When your race is run?
Will they shower you with flowers
Or will they shun ya
When your race is run?
Got to be a winner--trophy winner
Get to hold your head up high up!
Number one!

You Are A Winner
Beloyd taylor
Cha cha cha
When youre feelin that youre movin up
Always someone tries to make you stop
When youre filling up your cup
Someone comes around to spill every drop
When everythings going strong
And someone doesnt like what you do
Theyll try to make you feel youre wrong
Pull the rug from your feet before youre through
And if you follow carefully
The flow of your energy
You will start to see
That you are a winner
Cha cha cha
When youre filling up your cup
Someone comes around to spill every drop
There is no time for wondering
Youre a winner as every day begins
And if you follow carefully
The flow of your energy
You will start to see
That you are a winner
You are a winner
You are a winner

A Heads-Up From On High
Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven
and
the Kingdom of Heaven’s within
Except that you come through Me,
you cannot enter Heaven –
But
seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven –
Look!
The Kingdom of Heaven’s within
***
I’ve given you the key here,
I’m telling you I’m right here
I am in Heaven and
I am in you
And I can never be
anywhere else –
See, the Kingdom of Heaven
Lies deep within you
And I am in Heaven, too
Heaven is a state of being,
it’s not a place to go,
because, as I’ve told you,
so many times,
it’s within to yourself
you must go
There you must look,
like it says in the Book,
and My promise is, you will find Me
You’ve just got to realize
That I will never tell lies
And I’ve told you,
The Kingdom’s within!

The Winner
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a winner
All the way,
If I take notice of what the words tell me,
Its not too long before Im caught out in the
Rain
Youre the only one who can take me back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up - with you
Im a winner
Here I am Im a winner
See my world turned it upside down,
Maybe know that Im nothing without you.
Got a brand new style of living with a
Motivation,
When I know my way losing my direction.
Thats when I get hurt with no one else to
Blame
Youre the only one who can heal me taking me
Back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up here I am a
Winner
Here I am Im a winner.
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a
Winner all the way,
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up.
You keep taking me back, making me one
With you,
Taking me back, making me new.

God's Kingdom
PART 1
[INSPIRED BY LEO TOLSTOY]
More than a hundred years gone
since a thought by this great man
to put an end to man's kingdom
to be a part of god's kingdom
A kingdom which need not bind
bind itself to a boundary
a kingdom which need not safeguard
guarding men need not war over a boundary
a nation without a boundary
a nation which would'nt war for a boundary
would'nt be a man's kingdom
yes...truely a god's kingdom
how do you curb atrocities without a war
India did it fifty years back without a war
Mahatma's ahimsa was an offshoot of Tolstoy's passive resistance
Tolstoy was Gandhi's inspiration
