Crippled!

when you take the crippled hand,
and put it to the plow...
a healing takes place!

when you take the crippled heart,
and put it with other wounded hearts,
compassion begins!

when you take the crippled spirit,
and teach it the words of freedom,
wings are loosed!

when you take the crippled man,
and restore his dignity...
he changes the world!

Hiding Behind Ignorance

The beauty within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Aggressive, hostile, selfish and shy.
The intelligence within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Greed, dishonesty, prejudice and pride.
The love within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Anger, hurt, cruelty and hate.
The happiness within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Depression, envy, fear and regret.
The acceptance within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Racism, violence, horror and crime.

Crippled Bird

A broken heart like a broken wing
It must have its time to mend
I am like a crippled bird
In hopes one day to fly again
I loved you so and I was faithful
I cared more than words could say
But love is cruel and life is hateful
Now youve gone and flown away
Chorus:
Oh, to die, twould be a pleasure
Slow to heal, but quick to cry
Fragile as a sparrows feather
Crippled bird too blue to fly
Oh, the loss is cold and shameful
And the grief so deep and sharp
There is nothing quite as painful
As a true blue broken heart
Repeat chorus
Fragile as a sparrows feather
Crippled bird too blue to fly

Bare Feet for Thad

A centipede does not wear shoes.
If they were offered he’d refuse.
Say he’s afraid they’d hurt his toes
and he knows best I must suppose.
Although I do suspect that he
makes excuses Cos he’s lazy.
He’d have to tie a hundred bows
which I think would drive him crazy.
If I was forced to go barefoot
I am quite sure it would not suit.
For shoes are something which I need
but then I’m not a centipede.

Loss Of...

Loss it seems is the worst kind of sorrow
Loss of dreams, the dreams of tomorrow

Loss of the moments you two should have shared
Loss of opportunities to show her you cared

Loss of the memories you both could have created
Loss of the romance once intense as you dated

Loss of a kiss, caress, or embrace
Loss of that special feeling no one else can replace

Loss of a look, the twinkle in her eye
Loss of the touch as you pass each other by

Loss of a future, from a past of regret
Loss of a last chance, how many do you get

Loss of a promise you never meant to break
Loss of two hearts that forever will ache

Your Eyes Were Open

Oh doctor help me please
I'm dying, crippled with disease
My body's aching limb to limb
My bones are glowing through my skin
When i look up into black skies
Mushrooms grow before my eyes
Doctor save me if you can
I'm a desperate man (repeat)
As he lay thinking he was dead
A burning pain short through his head
He looked into those tired old eyes
Heard forty years of anguished cries
And this doctor said
Your eyes were open
But you shut them with your mouth
You always heard
But you weren't doing the screaming
You'd only just woken
But already, you'd forgotten,
What you were dreaming
Such a sad case
The failure of a human race

Centipede

No need to stay stuck on bended knees,
Get up from that hole and move with speed.
Like you've got the legs of a centipede.

Feel that wind outside your cocoon,
Crooning with a hope you will join it soon.
To fly in the sky like a Butterfly high.
And all you have to do is give it a try.

See those leaves budding on that tree,
Blossoming with giggles as they dance in the breeze.
And that grass below your feet,
Wishing you would move them so they can breathe.

Feel that wind outside your cocoon,
Crooning with a hope you will join it soon.
To fly in the sky like a Butterfly high.
And all you have to do is give it a try.

Get up from that hole and move with speed.
Like you've got the legs of a centipede.
Get up from that hole and move with speed.
Like you've got the legs of a centipede.

As You Have No Wings

As you have no wings,
I am cutting down mine to please you.
Then we shall snail or walk together
With our eyes fixed at destinations unknown!

You could have told me once
Not to develop wings for myself,
You could have told me twice
That you have had no wings ever.

My wings were my power
Ever have I felt so for long.
But as I cut down them now for you,
My dear, I know I am crippled.

Your limbs have no agility!
Your eyes have no vision!
Your sole hope is me, I know.
But crippled I am!

In the wilderness of these lanes
I know not how to snail or walk on.
You look at me still even as
I remain crippled.

The skies have a charm and
Where they kiss the mountains I was once there
I was wondering to be like them for once
And I am crippled now.

You could have told me
Not to cut down my wings!
But you did never say so.
You ever want to snail or walk with me!

As you have no wings,
I miss to be what I could have been.
As you are wingless ever
Never shall I fly unto my infinite world!

Costa Concordia

Now hear the misanthropes cry out with joy,
The mighty giant lies crippled on her side.
Rejoicing o'er the hated crippled toy,
The jackals celebrate her loss of pride.

Of fate's sad triumph over man's great dreams;
No mention made of all the ships that sail
So safe - it's tragedy preferred it seems,
So blame the ship, when one man's judgement fails.

The pessimists in comfort rant and rage
Of Nature's power and follies of mankind;
They take the benefits of this great age;
Of how they came about the fools are blind.

But those who reason are not turned by lies,
‘Tis but a hurdle - progress on will race.
Perhaps Concordia will never rise,
But other ships will sail to take her place.

Lost In A House Fire

The loss of a child
The loss of a wife
Tis all the same as the loss of your own life
The loss of house and all that's inside
Tis all the same as if your whole soul had died
The loss of temper
Loss of faith and self-control
Tis all the same as knowing you have now grown very old
The loss of all memory when all is becalmed
When you find that your wife and child all safe and unharmed

Feeling Like A Crippled With No Wings

Crippled and no wings, acid in the eye oh how it stings. How much did you bring. I'll tell you right now it will never be enough. To break through shell in which is someone's hell. The skin is tough, rough almost irritable. I want to stand but can't, I want to see but I m so blind, I want to hear but you screams are so silent, crippled and no wings. The demons encircle me, they point and laugh, pick and prod, hey say the fisherman's son look what we caught I think its a cod, look at it flop, so helpless breathless. To hell with ya and you deformed view of what I am. Don't you know it ain't nice to melt the ice before their ready for their drink, do you even use that head and think. Comformity, fitting in amongst those not welcome. A criminal by tributes and scars. Just cause you say you are. Never can you remove the gun from under you pillow. Always looking towards the shadows. I'm just another crippled with no wings. Still don't treat me any differently, common courtesy, common respect, I m not a reject, I know exactly what is being said, I have had enough of it. Ill show you rabid dog, watch out for that bite. It can be nasty. Crippled and no wings, oh the anger it brings. To hell with what you think. Your just mad cause I wasn't the loser you were use too. You like to be told what to do. Well here's one f*ck you. What do you think I was doing their. Making cookies for the boy scouts. Ugly are my eyes. When I how I wasted my time on someone who didn't really want me. You faker, you disease, you brought me knees, then stepped on me. Now I m crippled with no wings, but no longer that foolish to fall for such tricks again. So come on lets see what you got, bet you have no luck. Cause you just ain't that hot. It was about more than that. You broke a contract. I hope you go to hell an rot. For creating the crippled with no wings.

Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable

The death of a twelve year old,
Her sister shed tears,
But the body was cold,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

She felt all had lost hope,
It was her fault,
'I let go the rope! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'I should have pulled her up'
'I lost grip'
'I should'nt have given up! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'You trusted me! '
'And there is no reason....'
' No you shouldn't have, see? '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'No! It's not your fault! ',
Said her sister,
Who lay dead in the vault,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

l Losses Are Sometime Good...

Loss, most of the time bad. On occasion, great!

SOME TIME A LOSS CAN BE GOOD!

Can loss sometime be happy. You bet! Ask some
divorced couples.

The other guy had a loss and I won!

My ex had a loss, of most of our assets. Yes,
you guessed it, I got 'em!

Insurance companies, now there's some, that
many take great delight,
when they suffer a loss.

When the tax man does an audit, if they have
a loss, we have a win! (best kind of loss)

The person who brings suite against you,
suffers a loss. (Ain't that sweet?)

A hostile mother-in-law, suffers a loss,
when her daughter gets divorced.

When one experiences a weight loss.
Now that's something that would make
millions of people happy!

When the owner of your building, is deemed
to be, 'rent controlled, ' it brings a loss
to the greedy titleholder. (break out the champagne)

When the neighbor you hadn't spoken to for years,
has a loss, of the keys, to her car.

When the kid, who keeps running over your lawn,
with his bike, has a loss, of the two wheel monster.

When you child, who you love, but drives you nuts
with their loud music, has a broken stereo,
and a loss of music. (They're unhappy. You're ecstatic.)

When one has a loss of sleep, because their spouse
was amorous all night. (Ahhhh, the good old days.)

When your in-laws, prepare to come to your house,
for the first time, and have a loss of directions.

When your spouse, who cremates every barbecue
they ever handled, has a loss of the coals.
(Actually you hid them.)

When the know-it-all comes to your home, and
can't say a word, because they had a loss of
their dentures.

Remember...If you have a loss, sometime,
the loss is good!

My Loss

Watching as you drive away
Speed away so fast
Knowing something's different now
That ending was our last
Nothing describes the emptiness filled inside
Take me to that place
Where everything's fine
And not a worry in mind
Sweeter to the taste
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
For all that you bring
Simple is so complex now
So I understand
That I never thought that happy could be distraught
Help me if you can
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
Well I know I'm wrong
And you know I'm here
I don't want to let you disapear
What am I worth when your eyes were
Begging me in fear
I only want to see you again
And repair the wounds that brought me in
I don't want to think it won't happen again
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
For all that you bring
For all that you bring
For all you bring

What is loss?

I resent
What loss represents
I resent
What great loss presents

So what’s the fuss about loss?

Waiting!
Debating!
Contemplating!

What is loss?
Something you care about
Taken away from you by force
Creating total unforgivable chaos

Thinking!
Blinking!
Seeking!

What is loss
It is a minus instead of a plus
Hence the unmistakable fuss
Death and sickness build up great grief
Loss brings despair instead of relief
And in loss itself I have no belief

I resent
What loss represents
I resent
What great loss presents

Loss! An inequitable cause
Thrown on you without a toss
So you become very cross
Because in your life you realize, you are never the only boss!
