Tranquillity
Oh if it were not for my wife
And family increase,
How gladly would I close my life
In monastery peace!
A sweet and scented isle I know
Where monks in muteness dwell,
And there in sereness I would go
And seek a cell.
On milk and oaten meal I'd live,
With carrot, kail and cheese;
The greens that tiny gardens give,
The bounty of the bees.
Then war might rage, I would not know,
Or knowing would not care:
No echo of a world of woe
Would irk me there.
And I would be forgotten too
As mankind I forgot;
Read Shakespeare and the Bible through,
And brood in quiet thought.
Content with birds and trees and flowers
In mellow age to find
'Mid monastery's holy hours
God's Peace of Mind.

Remains Unseen
The hate that tears at my brain
Remains unseen to you
The self loathing and the pain
I'm swinging at the end of my rope,
If you only knew
I am lost without a hope,
There's nothing I can do
Oh.
I don't want to live this day
It's getting harder every day,
To face what I've become
The fear of what I have become
Remains unseen to you
A heart that's just gone numb
Remains unseen to you
I just want to close my eyes
And pretend this isn't true
Throw my hands up to the skies
There's nothing I can do
Oh.
This feeling of helplessness
And despair remains unseen to you
It's the cross that I must bear,
But it remains unseen to you
I dwell in a twisted reality of hate,
Remains unseen to you
Ugly thoughts, you cannot relate,
So I'll remain unseen to you

Monarch And Gods
Indicating the monarch collides with flight,
This is the moment of truth, a fetching of wood.
Monastery after monastery resides in this tower,
The momentum of life is for an album of custom,
Bothersome like a cannibal it creates a life to be,
The bosom of laughter is this cannibal.
You require calcium, to pursue your sports
As of now, as of this moment and momentum.
A bonus is recreation, my monarch loves this,
And at the top is an atheism conquering minds.
Even Athens knows this sport of the classical world,
One of flying among heroes, delving into gods
That do not hear or listen or receive worship.
This monarch is momentary unlike the Greek gods
That understand us all the time, but what are they?

Nobody goes to another monastery with one's own charter.
My imagination is a monastery and I am its monk.

Wherever there is a pretty spot, the devil plants a monastery or a lord.
When I entered the monastery I wanted to be alone. Now I believe that men should worry about the world they leave for their children.

To the crew of a shot-out Ratel of 61 Mechanised Bn Grp (rondine)
What escape remains when you are trapped
by enemy landmine after landmine,
from the incoming shell’s wailing whine;
when boys, some just children are snapped,
in the flash when a armoured car is scrapped,
even if your bravery does holy shine;
what escape remains?
What little remains when thunder-clapped
of what someone could as a life define
when by law military service did confine
young men, whose lives death had overlapped;
what escape remains?

You Are Old As Well
There was an old man from the monastery,
His life was too solid and goodie,
Because of his expulsion,
From the religious region,
A maniac or monkey could be He.

Love Remains (feat. Christopher Cross)
Album: When It All Goes South
When the last drop of rain has fallen
When the final note has drifted away
When the earth ceases to turn
And the last fire has burned
When the wind stops its ceaseless blowing
When the last wave has come into shore
When the sun has called it a day
And the stars have all floated away
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
When we have grown old together
And the hourglass runs out of sand
Darlin' you will kiss me and then
Forever starts all over again
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
My soul is one with yours, baby
Just to hold you drives me crazy
In your eyes I see... you feel the same
Love, love, love
Love, love, love remains
Love remains like an endless flame
Through the brightest joys and the darkest pain
In the end....
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
My soul is one with yours, baby
Just to hold you drives me crazy
In your eyes I see... you feel the same
Love, love, love
Love, love, love remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, remains
Love, love, love
Love, remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Oh, love, love, love
Love, love, love
Oh, love, love, love

He was somebody who made me think, I suppose, about the contemplative life. I've always been a city fellow, but I've often had vague thoughts about 'checking out' and perhaps going into a monastery and just seeing what it was like.

Nothing more rapidly inclines a person to go into a monastery than reading a book on etiquette. There are so many trivial ways in which it is possible to commit some social sin.

Life Within the Brake
Veiled in mist, away from eyes prying.
In the bosom of mounts 'n' peaks.
Dwelling deep within the brake.
Lone monastery stands in shadow.
In silent prayer or chant, holy order.
Opted to devote their lives,
claiming wholly an existence.
To their Omnipotent deity.
Safely in their abode, though spartan.
Nestled far from tempest's grasp.
The silence there golden, serene.
At times becoming loud, this level of quiet.
Yet, as moth drawn to flame,
mariner to siren's song.
Those seeking answers.
Curious visitors are lured.
As guests, all made welcome,
with smile friendly, handshake firm.
To join in prayer invited,
breaking of bread sip of wine.
Spend the night an offer,
for in the mount in the dark.
The cold doth reign.
In the morn with departure bid.
From the monastery, within the brake.
wishes for safe journey home.

The world at large doesn't lead to hell nor does the monastery lead to heaven.
I AM what is called a Feminist. Thirty years ago I left a monastery and began a sane human existence. Within two or three years, I find, I was defending the rights of women.

Dance Freedom In Every Heartbeat
if we cannot dance
with love and freedom
in our hearts for all
then we cannot hear
the rhythm of love
written into all beauty
that remains
in our heart
beat world
that remains
in beautiful
gentle souls
that remains
in gift love
softly sung
that remains in God’s
original gift vision
for created humanity
all souls
dancing to sacred
rhythm life
are previous
unique hearts
bliss wonder
all dancers
smile laugh
breathe love
