Nearly everyone in ancient Egypt exhorted the gods to let the Pharaoh live forever. These collective prayers failed. Their failure constitutes data.

The Plagues On Egypt
When God spoke to Moses about Egypt He made it clear from the start,
To show His Power and Glory He was going to harden Pharaoh's heart.
When Aaron's staff became a snake Pharaoh turned to his magic art,
Because he relied upon sorcerers God began to harden his very heart.
And when God plagued Egypt with blood and frogs throughout the land,
Pharaoh saw relief and he refused to acknowledge God's Uplifted Hand.
Even when God turned the dust into gnats causing the magicians dread,
And pointed to The Finger of God; Pharaoh was unmoved like God said.
Next He plagued Egypt with flies in all the houses and on the ground,
But to make God's people distinct in Goshen not a fly could be found.
God then struck and killed all of Egypt's livestock out in the field,
And even though none died in Goshen, Pharaoh still would not yield.
When the soot in the air turned into fine powder throughout the land,
The magicians broke out with boils and before Moses could not stand.
With hail God struck down all that was in the field that had breath,
And He followed with a plague of locusts to devour all that was left.
Since Pharaoh refused to obey due to his heart's increasing hardness,
God gave light to His people and covered Egypt in complete darkness.
God finally struck down all the firstborn of Egypt by Uplifted Hand,
This caused Pharaoh to expel the Israelites out of his wicked land.

Pharaoh
Hey....... Pharaoh!
So what is it you think you know?
As above so below?
You will never grow if you aim too low!
You remember the magic and the gods,
But you forgot where they came from,
You are still playing in the sand,
You should be flying amongst the stars,
While you stumble around,
Looking for fertile ground,
Our bodies fill the mound!
Hearts tightly wound,
Waiting for you to run aground,
You still trying to keep their secrets,
Secrets you don't understand,
Wish you could just be a man!
Oh lord deliver me from this land!
Hey....... Pharaoh!
So what is it you think you know?
As above so below?
You will never grow if you aim too low!
Look deep within your heart, find the truth,
Where do we come from, us on planet earth?
Who are we and where are we going to?
What is our true reality?
Time for you to fulfil your destiny,
Kings must lead and serve the many,
Before they can fly amongst the stars!
Hey....... Pharaoh!
So what is it you think you know?
As above so below?
You will never grow if you aim too low!
Hey......Pharaoh, who do you think you are?
Hey......Pharaoh, who do you think you are?

I Wish I Wasn’t a Poet
I weep in the moonlight
Beside empty beer bottles
Contemplating my dreams,
I cry and die in rose gardens
Recalling her eyes,
I fall to my knees
In lonely prayers
Understanding
All my defeats.
I wish I wasn’t a poet,
I will never compose a line
Worthy of her loop earrings
Or turquoise dress,
I will never convey the adoration
That she deserves
From ancient gods
Or men of great esteem,
I’ve failed to appreciate her!

Spirits Of Ancient Egypt
Youre my baby and I love you
You can take a pound of love
And cook it in the stew . . . . .
When youve finished doing that
I know what youll want to do
cos youre my baby and I love you
Im your baby -- do you love me?
I can drive a cadillac
Across the irish sea
But when Ive finished doing that
I know where Ill want to be
cos Im your baby, and you love me.
Spirits of ancient egypt
Shadows of ancient rome
Spirits of ancient egypt
Hung on the telly
Hung on the telly
Hung on the telephone . . . .
Youre my baby, I know you know
You could sell an elevator
To geronimo
And when youve finished doing that
I know where youll want to go
cos youre my baby, I know you know
Spirits of ancient egypt
Echoes of sunken spain
Spirits of ancient egypt
Hung on the phone
A-hung on the phone
A-hung on the phone
. . . . . again . . . . .

A failure is an opportunity
You fail today; I know how it feels to be a failure.
It will be sad. You mourn alone, nobody mourns for you.
It will be silent. The noise of failure is too much inside
Your ears, lots of evil voices speak, like you are
A nobody
A failure
A disservice, a uselessness, the smallness of you
Like a miniature plastic soldier toy in the cabinet
Set aside for being so unattractive,
You shrink in society, and friends shy away now,
In failure you are alone, and you cry alone, if you
Will it that way,
If you will it,
You fail and forever you are a failure, a loser,
A sore loser,
But think a little deeper this time,
Who in this world never had a failure once in a while?
Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein,
Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, George Bush,
Give me a name, and I will cite their failures,
Give me a name of a man who never failed
And I will show you that dead man in his grave.
My friend, failure is an opportunity to be great
Learn, learn, and learn, take the failure as your
Platform to catapult you to something higher than yourself,
Jump and rise to some other better opportunities,
Learn and be a new person again, stronger and wiser this time.

Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 02
Two sons of amirs were in Egypt, the one acquiring science, the other accumulating wealth, till the former became the ullemma of the period and the other the prince of Egypt; whereon the rich man looked with contempt upon the faqih and said: ‘I have reached the sultanate whilst thou hast remained in poverty as before.’ He replied: ‘O brother, I am bound to be grateful to the most high Creator for having obtained the inheritance of prophets whilst thou hast attained the inheritance of Pharaoh and of Haman, namely the kingdom of Egypt.’
I am that ant which is trodden under foot
Not that wasp, the pain of whose sting causes lament.
How shall I give due thanks for the blessing
That I do not possess the strength of injuring mankind?
The Loving Cup of the Papyrus
WISE men use days as husbandmen use bees,
And steal rich drops from every pregnant hour;
Others, like wasps on blossomed apple-trees,
Find gall, not honey, in the sweetest flower.
Congratulations for a scene like this!
The olden times are here—these shall be olden
When, years to come, remembering present bliss,
We sigh for past Papyrian dinners golden.
We thank the gods! we call them back to light—
Call back to hoary Egypt for Osiris,
Who first made wine, to join our board to-night,
And drain this loving cup with the Papyrus.
He comes! the Pharaoh's god! fling wide the door-
Welcome, Osiris! See—thine old prescription
Is honored here; and thou shalt drink once more
With men whose treasured ensign is Egyptian.
A toast! a toast! our guest shall give a toast!
By Nilus' flood, we pray thee, god, inspire us!
He smiles—he wills—let not a word be lost—
His hand upon the cup, he speaks:—
'Papyrus!
“I greet ye! and mine ancient nation shares
In greeting fair from Ammon, Ptah, and Isis,
Whose leaf ye love—dead Egypt's leaf, that bears
Our tale of pride from Cheops to Cambyses.
'We gods of Egypt, who are wise with age—
Five thousand years have washed us clean of passion—
A golden era for this board presage,
While ye do keep this cup in priestly fashion.
'We love to see the bonds of fellowship
Made still more sacred by a fine tradition;
We bless this bowl that moves from lip to lip
In love's festoons, renewed by every mission.
'Intern the vessel from profaning eyes;
The lip that kisses should have special merit;
Thus every sanguine draught shall symbolize
And consecrate the true Papyrian spirit.
'For brotherhood, not wine, this cup should pass;
Its depths should ne'er reflect the eye of malice;
Drink toasts to strangers with the social glass,
But drink to brothers with this loving chalice.
'And now, Papyrus, each one pledge to each:
And let this formal tie be warmly cherished.
No words are needed for a kindly speech—
The loving thought will live when words have perished.'

The Soul I Once Chose To Keep Away
Your love has been so very bountiful,
And with it you have never failed me;
My recompense for same was surely doubtful
As I was overcome with fear, and failed thee.
I have grown so much and in so many ways
Since my regrettable failure, to which I look back
With both sorrow and regret on so many days;
From the depths of my most profound loss, I took back
Control over the demons which caused me to doubt you-
And now, I know I may not truly 'live', without you;
You are needed, as flowers need the rain-
Without you, there exists only heartache and pain,
At the realization that trepidation cost me so many years;
Never again shall I live, subject to my fears-
For that is not life at all, it is a failure to live:
A heart is not alive if there is a failure to give
It away to its mate, when its mate is found;
A soul that dwells is this way, is bound
In chains, just as a prisoner, interred;
To live in this way, where a soul's wither is inferred
Is akin to a voluntary death sentence.
I refuse to continue to serve such penance,
For the sake of a fear, long-sice defeated;
The mistakes of my past shall never again be repeated;
To not reward your love with unabashed love in return
Is surely one-one for which I hope to one day earn
Both redemption and a second chance-
At a once-inspired, yet all-too-brief romance.
God-willing, this will come to be, one day,
And I will consort again, with the soul I once chose to keep away!

I Don't Want To Live Forever
Frank Sinatra died today
I came home and found my mama crying
The TV had so much to say
Somehow I was thinking about dying
I'm seventeen and thinking about dying
I don't want to live forever
Just want to know that I'm alive
Don't want to live forever
Just until the day I die
I see my daddy in his chair
He sits there night and day
The TV still looks good as new
Daddy's old and gray
And it's scaring me to death
I don't want to go that way
I don't want to live forever
Just want to know that I'm alive
Don't want to live forever
Just until the day I die
Just because your heart's still beating
It don't mean that you're alive
Don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
Gonna live while I'm alive
You can see the glass half-empty
You can see the glass half-full
But all I see are shattered dreams
Around this neighborhood
My brother's girlfriend's pregnant
And today she's moving in
My friends all play the lottery
And swear one day they'll win
I'm seventeen, I'm thinking about dying
I'm seventeen, no way I'm dying
Don't want to live forever
Just want to know that I'm alive
Don't want to live forever
Just until the day I die
Just because you're breathing
It don't mean that you're alive
Don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
I don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
Don't want to live forever
I don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
I don't want to live forever
Don't want to live forever
I don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
I don't want to live forever
Nobody lives forever
I don't want to live forever

Night Over Egypt
Wansel / Biggs)
There's a sky in the east
Over pyramids at Giza
Where there once lived a girl
She ruled the world
Then down the nile
He came with a smile
He was the king
She was the queen
Under the moonlight
Your eyes won't believe
What your mind can't concieve
Oooh
Nights over Egypt
Nights over Egypt
Nights over Egypt
Incense & myrrh
And girls that swirl
To the music
Nights over Egypt
Women fellahin
Wear veils to been seen
By no one
Take a caravan across
The sudan
Saharan fagade
Is just a mirage
Oasis in the sand
Where life once began
Under the moonlight
Your eyes won't believe
What your mind can't concieve
Nights over Egypt
Nights over Egypt
Nights over Egypt
Nights over Egypt

Who Wants To Live Forever
Words and music by brian may
Theres no time for us
Theres no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams yet slips away
From us
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever....?
Theres no chance for us
Its all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?
Who dares to love forever?
When love must die
But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today
Who waits forever anyway?

the Way To Success
failure may outnumber success
failure is there
to make you strong
failure may cause pain
but nothing goes in vain
failure keeps you in touch
with reality
failure gives wisdom
failure gives experience
cowards don't fail
It's for the brave
who leave the shore
to sail into unknown
failure is a stop
in the journey of life
don't stop at the bend
today's failure would be
tomorrow's bigger success
failure is the cradle
in which success rocks.
failure is not a sin
failure is the first step for success
failure teaches you how to succeed
failure always helps in your success
failure helps you from failing
if you fail, it's not the end of the world
try!
success will definitely be on your way
so will run away your failure
but...
never forget your failure in life which helped you in your
SUCCESS

The Pharaohs of Today
Pain and labor of oppression gave the Western world its birth,
From such shores the love of freedom ne'er should perish from the earth;
To a conscience that's awakened, these are words to make it start,
'Each oppressor of a human buys himself a hardened heart!'
'Twas the sixties broke the shackles from the body of the slave,
Which was only half his freedom, for his mind we now must save.
Liberty of his opinion, such as other people use
Give him all that makes for manhood, and the same he'll not abuse.
True, the God of ancient Israel loves the Negro of today,
Many proofs are had in common of the truth of what I say;
For the stronger the oppression made them multiply and grow,
Of the Negro in this country quite the same is true, you know.
'Give him freedom,' says the white man, 'will defeat our greatest plan,
With his freedom here's the trouble, he'll aspire to be a man.
Men will scorn to suffer treatment on the level of a brute,
Safest way to keep them subjects is their manhood to dispute.'
Ancient Pharaoh was a pagan, bowing down to wood and stone,
Deeds today of Christian Pharaohs would disgrace the ancient throne.
Leaguers now with Satan's kingdom from their plans he never parts,
Such oppressors of a human pay the price of hardened hearts!
Pharaoh's cruelty in Egypt filled the Israelites with pain,
Thus his heart was fully hardened out of love for earthly gain.
For the same he met destruction; to his rashness it was due,
Modern Pharaohs, his example may a lesson bring to you!
When the Jews for wrong decided, then the nation lost its rank.
Rome, debauched in gross corruption, into degradation sank.
Sins of national importance bring calamities the same,
Just as true as it is ancient, sin will bring the nation shame.

Say Your Prayers
Don't want to live in a prison cell
don't want to live in a smoking room,
independence just won't come to you
in the brief of a diplomat.
Say your prayers for the future
say your prayers for the past,
it might be round the corner
it might be all we have.
Say your Prayers.
Don't want to live with a compromise
don't want to live with hypocrisy,
bureaucracy doesn't have to win
breaks the cage of the beast within.
Say your prayers in the boardroom
say your prayers on the stairs,
it might be catastrophic
it might be too damn bad.
Say your prayers.
I got the cure for compassion fatigue
spend a week with the Timorese,
running scared from the military
you can share you can share your disease.
Now we don't live with an absent master
we don't live on an island divided,
don't want my kids to grow up in shame
in a country with a different name
had to throw them out, had to break the chains.
I got the cure for compassion fatigue
spend a week with the Timorese,
running scared from the military
I come to you with a plaintive plea.

On A Picture Of The Finding Of Moses By Pharoah's Daughter
This picture does the story express
Of Moses in the bulrushes.
How livelily the painter's hand
By colours makes us understand!
Moses that little infant is.
This figure is his sister. This
Fine stately lady is no less
A personage than a princess,
Daughter of Pharaoh, Egypt's king;
Whom Providence did hither bring
This little Hebrew child to save.
See how near the perilous wave
He lies exposëd in the ark,
His rushy cradle, his frail bark!
Pharaoh, king of Egypt land,
In his greatness gave command
To his slaves, they should destroy
Every new-born Hebrew boy.
This Moses was an Hebrew's son.
When he was born, his birth to none
His mother told, to none revealed,
But kept her goodly child concealed.
Three months she hid him; then she wrought
With bulrushes this ark, and brought
Him in it to this river's side,
Carefully looking far and wide
To see that no Egyptian eye
Her ark-hid treasure should espy.
Among the river-flags she lays
The child. Near him his sister stays.
We may imagine her affright,
When the king's daughter is in sight.
Soon the princess will perceive
The ark among the flags, and give
Command to her attendant maid
That its contents shall be displayed.
Within the ark the child is found,
And now he utters mournful sound.
Behold he weeps, as if he were
Afraid of cruel Egypt's heir!
She speaks, she says, 'This little one
I will protect, though he the son
Be of an Hebrew.' Every word
She speaks is by the sister heard.-
And now observe, this is the part
The painter chose to show his art.
Look at the sister's eager eye,
As here she seems advancing nigh.
Lowly she bends, says, 'Shall I go
And call a nurse to thee? I know
A Hebrew woman liveth near,
Great lady, shall I bring her here?'
See! Pharaoh's daughter answers, 'Go.'-
No more the painter's art can show.
He cannot make his figures move.-
On the light wings of swiftest love
The girl will fly to bring the mother
To be the nurse, she'll bring no other.
To her will Pharaoh's daughter say,
'Take this child from me away:
For wages nurse him. To my home
At proper age this child may come.
When to our palace he is brought,
Wise masters shall for him be sought
To train him up, befitting one
I would protect as my own son.
And Moses be a name unto him,
Because I from the waters drew him.'

Such A Great Salvation
After 400 years in Egypt, God did not forget His promise to Abraham,
And He sent Moses back to lead Israel into the Blessed Promised Land.
God's awesome power through His miracles was apparent from the start,
And for the sake of His people, God began to harden Pharaoh's heart.
From bondage in the land of Egypt, God delivered His entire nation,
But never did they stop complaining, to see God's arm of Salvation.
With Pharaoh's army in the sea, God's Salvation to the eye was clear,
But on the other side in safety, hearts were still gripped with fear.
When the spies went into the land their eyes of flesh could not see,
That this was the land God promised to Abraham through all Eternity.
And because their father Abraham did not display his faith like this,
When he heard God, he believed and was credited with righteousness.
Unbelief was the cause of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness,
For God used it to purge the next generation of such unrighteousness.
However, Joshua and Caleb believed God and Moses just like Abraham,
So God used these two men to lead all Israel into the Promised Land.
And Moses said a Prophet like himself would be raised up in the end,
The Prophet was Jesus Christ whether you believe it or not my friend.
The Church can look back on the fulfillment of this great revelation,
So how, my friend, can you turn your back on such a great Salvation?
