Our perceptions are fallible. We sometimes see what isn't there. We are prey to optical illusions. Occasionally we hallucinate. We are error-prone.

Promoted and Religiously Defended
The look and feel of it...
Are illusions.
Those participating in exchange,
Are illusions.
Even the illusions themselves,
Can be concluded to be exclusively...
Illusions.
With or without perceptions needed.
And yet...
God is the exception of this conception.
And He, She or It,
Can not be seen at all.
Although we remain devoted.
To keep what isn't real in our lives,
Promoted and religiously defended.

Have no illusions
Have no illusions –
Life is challenging
Have no illusions –
Marriage is not easy
Have no illusions –
Sometimes you’ll question
Have no illusions –
You will find fault
Have no illusions –
This is marriage
Have no illusions –
You will work it out
Have no illusions –
Hardship brings strength
Have no illusions –
You are each other’s rock
Have no illusions –
Love will endure.

Unreal Reality
All that i see, seems so unreal to me,
Is it the truth or is it only fantasy,
Is it a dream or is it unreal reality?
All around me is such unreality,
Optical illusions as far as my eyes can see,
Is the whole thing a fake, or the ultimate reality?
That house is so big that it reaches right up to the clouds
It's got hundreds of windows, so the people inside can look out,
And they look down below and wonder what it's all about.
Look at that lady she got silver all over her face,
Is she a human being or a creature from outer space,
Is she authentic or phoney, i guess it's just a matter of taste.
Oh because they can feel it, it's gotta be the real thing,
Because they can touch it, it's gotta be reality.
If they say it's real, it's gotta be the real thing.
See that fella, looking all spick and span,
Is he a tailor's dummy or is he a real man,
Is he genuine, or straight off the assembly line.
All round me is such unreality,
Optical illusions as far as my eyes can see,
Is the whole thing a fake or the ultimate reality?
Is it a dream, or is it the real reality?

So be it. God created profoundly fallible creatures on this earth, and human history is mostly the story of error and accident.

Darkness And A Rod Of Light
darkness shall part like the legs of a woman
and i shall enter like a strong rod of light
like light i also bring the property of warmth
and you shall filter me like a prism and glass
we see a spreading rainbow of colors
we are amazed in the dance of silence
we dare not think of the magnifications
the usual refractions the optical illusions

An Allowance For Some Mistakes Of How We Perceive Things To Be
our thoughts have what in them an allowance for the possibilities
that what they perceive are just illusions of the mind
far away from the flesh and bone of the things-in-themselves
a mirage, or just the image of a mirage, come to think of it,
a man that you hate or love, could not be me, but the image of the man
in your dream in your mind like air dripping from your forehead to your lips
you taste and feel it but it does not taste and feel as you have seen it
there are possibilities of optical illusions, and what you see are evil
come to think of it, could just be as good as your disguises.
you are made to believe that what you see is what you get.
but there are those which your eyes do not see which your eyes failed to find.
what you feel is also what you get on such matters that only your heart can feel.
i have written this because you wish to see my love through your eyes.
you grieve because you have not seen that red flower in the blue sky.
it is not in the mind, it is right there in that garden when you close your eyes.

No Illusions
So let the rain fall on me
If its gotta be today its o.k.
And let the fire burn my ass
If its gotta be today its o.k.
Cause weve got no illusions
Cause weve got no illusions
Cause weve got no illusions
And let the water wash my brain
If its gotta be today its o.k.
And if the rivers will run dry
If they really want let them try
Cause weve got no illusions
Cause weve got no illusions, ohho
Cause weve got no illusions...

The Error
this is not an ordinary error that one corrects
like a grammatical mistake
that with a slight stroke of the pen
everything becomes correct
and acceptable
this is repeated error
one knows it is an error but one does not correct it
it plunges and pushes and pulls
back to the same error again
something delicious
so sweet to the tongue
the mouth salivates
and the heart pounces upon
a thousand breathings
this is the error that one always looks forward to see
one evening and another
in a room the two of you sharing it
you kneel and pray and soar to heights
without so many words wasted

No consensus of men can make an error erroneous. We can only find or commit an error, not create it. When we commit an error, we say what was an error already.

Optical Illusion
Now an optical illusion
is when your eyes
play tricks on you.
It shows you things
that are not really there.
The old saying of only
half believe what you see
has more truth in it
than you would believe,
as we don’t always see things
the way they really are.
Take an abstract painting,
take a closer look at it
and see how many things
your mind can make there.
Watch the clouds
roll by overhead
and look at the different shapes
that are created there.
The next time you look at something,
just be aware
it could well be
an optical illusion there.

The world always makes the assumption that the exposure of an error is identical with the discovery of truth--that the error and truth are simply opposite. They are nothing of the sort. What the world turns to, when it is cured on one error, is usually simply another error, and maybe one worse than the first one.

In a sense, words are encyclopedias of ignorance because they freeze perceptions at one moment in history and then insist we continue to use these frozen perceptions when we should be doing better.

The BS-ness of a Theory
Prone to lie.
Prone to seek alibis...
To coverup and deny.
Prone to articulate,
A relevance that deceives.
Prone to believe the BS-ness of a theory,
Planned and delivered...
Will be conceived and passed,
For the masses to perceive.
As reality!
To support and cloak,
Their disguises hidden.
To choke and maim all minds.
While those who suffer from these intentions,
Are left alone in their despair...
And driven to isolation.
While others stand on their backs...
To brag and boast,
Of such affairs!
In these desperate times.
Attacking those of lack with laughter.
With a thoughtlessness they dare to share...
To profit from these misdeeds long after!
How sinister,
Are they...
Who stir their own defeat!

The World Is Not Fair
Error in findings or
Error in perception
Reflects in judgment,
Not to say prejudices.
Error in judgment
Will cost the subject,
Which has no alternative.
Hence, suffering is undue.
The world is not fair.

It's Not For Me To Know
Easy come and easy go for me that was the fun
It was something that I didn't think was so bad
Now I'm lookin' out my window but I don't know where I am
And I've given up trying to understand what I can't
I don't have any illusions anymore
And I've done all that I can do
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
And It's not for me to know
I stood under the moonlight to ill-luminate myself
Something I fell into from being kicked around
I don't have any illusions anymore
And I've done all that I can do
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
And It's not for me to know
No one seemed to notice seeing from smoke screen eyes
You can get what you want but I don't think it is true
I don't have any illusions anymore
And I've done all that I can do
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
It's not for me to know
And It's not for me to know
Yeah me to know

Gold Dust Woman
Take your silver spoon
And dig your grave
Heartless challenge
Pick your path and I'll pray
Wake up in the morning
See your sunrise -- loves -- to go down
Lousy lovers -- pick their prey
But they never cry out loud
Did she make you cry
Make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love
Is it over now -- do you know how
Pick up the pieces and go home
Rock on -- ancient woman
Follow those who pale
In your shadow
Rulers make bad lovers
You better put your kingdom up for sale
Did she make you cry
Make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love
Is it over now -- do you know how
Pickup the pieces and go home
