Sad To Be Without You
Sad to be without you
Sad to laugh withot you
Sad to live without you
Because I feel that
The umbilical cord
Broke after you died
And I was left behind
Feeling sad that
I was not connected
To that umbilical cord

The Umbilical Cord Reminds
No umbilical cord connection
Between my siblings and me
Or between my father and me.
I can't stand against my mother.

Umbilical
Chiming bells, uproaring thunder-like voices, merry making, upon the promulgation of a child
Cries emanates, just as the umbilical cord becomes set for cut
The daunts & wearies of the child opens in sheer despairity
Seeming 'a punishment' at birth
Oops! Just flustery scenes advertently nothing can be done
An anti-thesis like an armoury clad then render at the time due making the sky deeply frightened but yet not taken aback
An enticement, never can it be ignored, not even on the 'kerstmis' in a year of plenty
Umbilical cord it hovers, armistic it acts as the child gasp for breath
A separation & passage which broils unto humanity, the adventures ahead and the apportioned destinies.
But knowingly, even after the darkest of unending nights, lies a certainty of a brighter sky amid unwavering faith & unabated hopes tomorrow
#Certainly umbilical

To Mother Earth From His Earthling
i am away
from you
earth
i am
absorbed
by the
company
of the
clouds
i am light
and drifting
but i am
not lost
i am exploring
you earth
from
a higher
perspective
i cut
my umbilical
cord
like the
string
of the kite
after this
i shall
land to your
bosom
again
but i will not
be you
i will
be as unique
as not
anyone else
to be
separate
is
life
i have
power now
in this
independence
look at me
not with anger
but with
understanding
i come from
you
but i am
not yours

Ropes, , , ,
an umbilical cord
is a rope
mother cuts it
for good
despite this
an imaginary cord still exists
between two minds
a bridge
where no one wants to
walk
imagination is cut
there is now an empty space
sort of conceived
independence
for me to grow
and be full
between us the bridge
must be broken
no ropes this time
no binding bond
between two continents
will always be an ocean
giant ships travel
a hundred whales
swim
i like is this way
between us
the Pacific ocean
no islands
just waves so huge
that sometimes
we are brave enough
in hopelessness
no ropes this time
no hands and arms
between us
this blinding darkness
this utter silence

Love outlive lust
Love for a girl does not infringe
The love one has for one’s mother.
Desire for a woman does not spoil
The love one has for one’s wife.
.
Love for mother from the umbilical cord.
Love for wife from the fusion gametes.
They are not extinguishable, and will stay.
Covalan at last returned to Kannaki,
Winsome Madhavi abandoned.

Mother to daughter
As an infant in my arms,
As a baby on my shoulder,
As a child on my laps,
As a kid held by my hand,
As a girl kept in my care,
As a spinster in my guard,
As a bride with my concern,
As a mother kept in focus,
You have drifted away from me.
Distance extends.
Relation fades.
Umbilical cord reminds
You are a part of me.
My concern for you remains.

Some Claim We Were Born Alone
some claim we were born alone
but was there not a heartbeat heard
as we grew within a mother’s womb
a placenta provided oxygen food
nourishment fed through umbilical cord
shadow post birth after us expelled
a hand took us cleaned us cut cord
totally dependent helpless we received
a heart fed us loved us meet our need
we were cared for we grew lived
to prosper all life is time given nourished
all life that endured love received
there was a time when we were not alone
each moment of growth was a heartbeat heard
those who give foster love in a world womb

A Mother's Work (Nonet)
Their invisible bond never ends
Life cord that ties child to mother
Love connects, as she attends
Unselfish tender care
Child grows maturing
The bond is there

Admiring Those Who Know How To Cut And Leave
i admire those
who know how
to cut and leave
what courage
have they when
they decide to
become birds
and fly away
to shores unknown?
to cut the umbilical
cord and be the
persons that they
want to be away
from their mothers?

I’d kill you if there wasn’t
An umbilical cord wedged between us.
Gods dictate what will happen
If I don’t murder you.
The Gods dictate what will happen
If I do.
Everything happens in circles,
A cycle that’ll never stop.
Humans can’t stop the cycle,
But they keep it spinning instead.
It makes no sense,
But, nothing ever does.
I’d kill you if there wasn’t
An umbilical cord wedged between us.
Gods dictate what will happen
If I don’t murder you.
The Gods dictate what will happen
If I do.

Love Connects
Love connects us with everyone and everything,
Love bridges our hearts with gratitude,
Our connection with life becomes stronger through feeling,
Love connects us with everyone and everything :)
Love connects us with necessary pain,
Love provides pain to gain awareness,
Our connection to ourselves gets stronger as pain leaves,
Love connects us with necessary pain :)
Love connects us with our passions,
Love encourages self expression and spontaneity,
Our connection to our truth becomes stronger by sharing,
Love connects us with our passions :)
Love connects us with truth always,
Love shares truth to guide us to ourselves,
Our connection becomes stronger as we receive it,
Love connects us with truth always :)

Anchor
As a baby
I was fastened to mother’s belly
As I float in her amniotic fluids
Through an uncut umbilical cord,
I kept that
In my navel forever, perhaps,
As times pass by, as I begin living a life
Of my own, in work, in love,
In circles of my daily undertakings & means,
I anchor myself to some ideals
Like
Being clean, and honest, and
Having integrity, principles,
Sort of another set of umbilical cord,
Though in different conceptions,
A figurative sense of the word
Or something emblematic,
I keep
That in my mind, now, perhaps, who knows,
Forever,
The feeling of having to float is
Always there, wherever I am, be it in
A drinking spree with friends, making love with my wife,
Or asking a night with a woman that I just met
At the sleazy bar,
Or in the
Simple study of
Some ordinary events here and there,
A feeling of lightness for being so
Different from the rest of those who are
Here with me once,
These idiosyncrasies of self, always getting to know why me,
This quirk,
This oddball,
Why am I being different yet so ordinarily elbowing with all,
Why this sort of floating
Drifting,
Like a canoe on smooth silvery river,
Dusts floating in air,
A white crane gliding,
A waft of culinary flavors from a
A food plate,
A shadow of a plane hovering,
This drift,
This sail on some seas without land
Or anchor,
Like when I write poetry grasping ideas, floating, drifting ideas
Catching them with the nets of my recollections
Bobbing and dangling
Trying to find a buoy,
An anchor, of weight, to hold things together, to make links
Chains to hold on to.
Of what I am who I am
Who I was
And where I am going,
I hold on to faith
Hold on to faith, they will always tell me, the priest the nun
& the Voice of God
And just in case I still float, drift, and waft
To tense & terse feelings and lots of pretenses
I go outside,
Touch a tree, feel its rugged barks, smell its
Leaves, stick my hands to its sticky stains, and
I
Get stuck, I want it, I want being stuck.
I hold on, to the sturdy tree standing near me,
I hold on
Like a baby floating on amniotic fluids fastened to an umbilical cord
Or
Like a hot air balloon, anchored on some sandbags and ropes on the ground.
I am somehow fastened, anchored, I become real.
Now, touch me, talk to me, hold me tightly please.

I have fallen into unconsciousness
I have got out of my own control, I have fallen into unconsciousness; in my utter unconsciousness how joyful I am with myself!
The darling sewed up my eyes so that I might not see other than him, so that suddenly I opened my eyes on his face.
My soul fought with me saying, “Do not pain me”; I said, “Take your divorce.” She said, “Grant it”; I granted it.
When my mother saw on my cheek the brand of your love she cut my umbilical cord on that, the moment I was born.
If I travel to heaven and read the Tablet of the Unseen, O you who are my soul’s salvation, without you how I am ruined!
When you cast aside the veil the dead become alive; the light of your face reminded me of the Covenant of Alast.
When I became lost, O soul, through love of the king of the peris, hidden from self and creatures, I am as if peri-born myself.
I said to the Tabriz of Shams-e Din, “O body, what are you?” Body said, “Earth”; Soul said, “I am distraught like the wind.”
The umbilical cord
I had a pain, unspeakable
when you have left me.
I have it as a pleasurable pain
As the umbilical cord was not cut.
Now if you want to turn away from me,
My pain itself will run away.
Your pride of being loved, too.
