The state I am in
In my periods of self-imposed isolation,
when I am in a state of being,
rather than that of action,
when my passiveness, becomes paramount,
and my ambition is reduced
to one of apathy,
when I exist as an inanimate object,
rather than an object which
reflects life,
when I am present,
but unaccounted for,
when I suffer from
sel-inflicted wounds
and wound others about me,
becoming a wall of inhumanity
that no one is able to scale,
including myself,
a solid nothing,
erected by one's own
faltering ego,
a state of inertia, that following
the laws of physics,
cannot move until acted upon
by an outside force,
(and probably not then either) ,
then I wonder,
what state is it,
that I am in?
Certainly not a vegatative state
as I would not be able to do
whatever the hell it is I am
doing now.
Certainly not a comatose state
as I would be unawake and
unaware of my surroundings.
It's possible that I could be
in such a state of mind
as to not know
just what it is that I am doing.
But that's ridiculous!
I do know what I'm doing.
So, what state am I in?

In life to marry or to be single?
Is left to our discretion in this world;
To stay aloof or like streams to mingle?
Has demerits /merits like youth/ age-old.
To sit ashore and never go to sea,
Afraid of dangers yet, wanting the feel;
The sea-sick sailor yearns to land quickly;
All walk on Soles, sometimes on tips and heel.
When body’s strong, one ventures to do things;

Decline of Life
School days seemed
to last for ever,
when in the spring-
time of our life.
Friends so many
we had as young
people, we were
just gilded youth.
We descended into
the summer time
of our youth,
dreams of hope.
Marriage came
for some,
others passed by,
life went on anyhow.
Life is like
a freeway,
going by so,
fast.
Fall of our life
has arrived on time,
as were working
harder than ever.
Decline of life
is moving toward
us, with no hope
of stopping it.
Sooner or later
we all reach
this place
in the road of life.
Retired are we
now, finding things
to do in this
winter time of life.

If we would lead outside our borders, if we would help those who need our assistance, if we would meet our responsibilities to mankind, we must first, all of us, demolish the borders which history has erected between men within our own nations — barriers of race and religion, social class and ignorance. Our answer is the world's hope; it is to rely on youth. The cruelties and the obstacles of this swiftly changing planet will not yield to obsolete dogmas and outworn slogans.
