Bones
The dead bodies abandon the catacombs,
rising to the surface,
gradually, on their own bones,
as if they would come back to life.

Dead Or Alive
There in the shadows, looks like a hand
Without its owner, to give it a command
Its got a purpose but I dont know what it is
Im in trouble
There in the streets, looks like a man
But something wrong that I dont understand
His eyes are open but he dont see a thing
His skin is peeling off, his bones are sticking out
Im getting scared
Oh my God (is it dead? )
Is it living? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
(is it dead? ), is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
Hiding in the cupboards, like little mice
Hiding in the frigerator, that isnt nice
Its not an animal, it dont have legs
No one else can see it
It moves so fast, corner of my eye
Look again its gone, its hiding
Wont somebody help me, doesnt anybody care?
It waits so patiently, for me to lose my guard
Im getting scared
Is it dead, is it
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead or alive
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead, is it
I remember there was a time
When dead and buried meant just that
Underneath the cold dark ground
Things stay put!
Oh them bones they make them bodies walk
Them bones, them bones
If they could only talk!
Is it dead (fade)

Sweet Miracle
I wasn't waling on water
I was stadning on a reef
when the tide came in
swept beneath the surface
lost without a trace
no hope at all
no hope at all
Oh - sweet miracle
oh - sweet miracle
Of life
I wasn't walking angles
I was talking to myself
rising up to the surface
raging against the night
starless night
oh - sweet miracle
love's sweet miracle
of life
Oh salvation
Oh salvation
I wasn't praying for magic
I was hading in plain sight
rising up from the surface
to flight into th night

Public Pervert
If time is my vessel, then learning to love might be my way back to sea
The flying, the metal, the turning above - these are just ways to be seen
We all get paid
Some get faith before they die
Then through the stars we will navigate
Through the holes in your eyes
How many days will it take to land?
How many ways to reach abandon?
Swoon, baby, starry nights
May our bodies remain
You move with me I'll treat you right, baby
May our bodies remain
There is love to be made
So, just stay here for this while
Perhaps heartstrings resuscitate
The fading sounds of your life
Swoon, baby, starry nights
May our bodies remain
As deep we move I'll feed you light, baby
May our bodies remain
In history I'll treat you right
I'm honest that way

Catacombs Of My Mind
i feel you tip toeing through
the catacombs of my heart.
which is where you had gotten your start.
now you walk through
the catacombs of my mind
of every waking moment
and every sleepless night.
no matter how i try to forget you
or keep you from my sight.
you continue the walk in my mind
searching for anything left behind.
and picking up the pieces
that you find, of the love i left behind.
what is a heart and mind supposed to do
when 'it is so in love with you'.
the softness of your lips
the gentleness of your touch
the look in your eyes
all of this makes me realize.
that you are the only one in my life
that makes me complete
and of that, no one can compete.
so continue to walk through
the catacombs of my mind
for i will love you till the ends of time.

Ageing
All the hills I used to climb
seem like mountains now.
Younger legs and bodies
with wild abandon did allow
all the best that comes with youth
to make me feel alive.
Makes me wonder where I am
and how did I survive?
Good old time takes its toll
in many different ways.
We wake up early just like kids
then plod slowly through our days.
But watching the energy kids display
brings back your own sweet youth
when you were climbing hills like them.
Still, the youth don't know the truth.
That age will come upon them
if they're the lucky ones
to see the mountains before them
after so many rising suns.

We Still Have Love...
we start with the tradition of life
we begin as bodies
tasting the fire of the flesh
savoring each moment
of skin and bones
and hair
time has a crucible
it tests us
about what we are
what are our intentions
what is in our hearts
our bodies are taken
the flesh weakens
the fire subsides
the skin loosens from the hold of the bones
the bones crack
the hairs have fallen
into surrender
we have become mere minds
intangible intentions
our hearts lose the sounds of the drums of life
we have no more hands to hold with each other
we have become the wind
we breathe into each other
the love that shall then be forgotten
we have become the sighs of the earth
into the darkness of its nights
what then my love? must we transcend the havoc that life
has caused upon us?
tomorrow, the eyes of death shall stare at us
we must decide
let not any stone of earth
be disappointed
we still have love
beyond and above.

There is no ice that will never melt
There is no ice that will never melt
Slowly, gradually
Though freeze to sleep forever
Or not be moved by emotion
Slowly, gradually
It’s not needed fire arms
It’s not needed the right law
Only time
Slowly, gradually
The cold drips in my hands
Like a burning candle
Like a bleeding body
Gone into puddle
There is no ice that will never melt
Slowly, gradually
Will it be a thin hope
Or silent word
Slowly, gradually
It’s not needed genius mind
It’s not needed global warning
Only time
Slowly, gradually
The crystal vanishes in my hands
Like a crying stone
Like a dying swan
Gone into water

Heart And Bones
(Paul Simon)
One and one-half wandering Jews
Free to wander wherever they choose
Are travelling together
In the Sangre de Cristo
The Blood of Christ Mountains
Of New Mexico
On the last leg of the journey
They started a long time ago
The arc of a love affair
Rainbows in the high desert air
Mountain passes slipping into stones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Thinking back to the season before
Looking back through the cracks in the door
Two people were married
The act was outrageous
The bride was contagious
She burned like a bride
These events may have had some effect
On the man with the girl by his side
The arc of a love affair
His hands rolling down her hair
Love like lightning shaking till it moans
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
And whoa whoa whoa
She said why?
Why don't we drive through the night
And we'll wake up down in Mexico
Oh I
I don't know nothin' about nothin'
About Mexico
And tell me why
Why won't you love me
For who I am
Where I am
He said:
'Cause that's not the way the world is baby
This is how I love you, baby
This is how I love you, baby
One and one-half wandering Jews
Returned to their natural coasts
To resume old acquaintances
Step out occasionally
And speculate who had been damaged the most
Easy time will determine if these consolations
Will be their reward
The arc of a love affair
Waiting to be restored
You take two bodies and you twirl them into one
Their hearts and their bones
And they won't come undone
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones

Abandon
I leave you; I leave you with your life,
with your lovers, your adventures and projects,
I leave you without my thoughts, sad and
wounded, without my questions
without my broken answers, but do
not believe as a fact everything, do not
believe never believe, this false abandon,
because I will be there when you least expected,
for example; in an old age maple tree with dark
nodding branches, or in far away galaxies that
shine higher when you are there gazing at them.
I leave you without the memories that lived in our
minds for decades, I leave you, I leave you. But never,
never be assure of all this ridiculous abandon, never
my darling, never because in this abandon I'll always
follow your steps, in anything you might
gaze at so hard that you disappear bringing me
back into your lonely world all over again.

Home
we'll wander off through the dead of night
'cause wastelands of shattered souls
warm by the firelight
appear into the darkness alone
as the Indian summer of my remembrance
settles on my bones
cracked and weary
I ask for direction home
home
let the words spill from my mouth
love
love is everything I want
I'm one of many more to come
love
love is everything i want
crossroads outside of town
the heartbroken faces charred
the city lights so far and dull
turning left and now it's time
with an urgen wind upon my rolling heels
to carry me along
my face so gashed I turn to ruins passed and home
home
let the words spill from my mouth
love
love is everything I want
I'm one of many more to come
love
love is everything I want
we'll wander through the dead of night
past terrors and broken homes
wipe the sleep from your eyes
of riverbanks and catacombs
sleeping to the [?]
always lived this life alone
lay down beneath the law
cry out

The closer the bird is to the surface of the water, the firmer and more inelastic is the uplift of the rising air. The bird appears to almost feel the surface with the tip of its weather wing.

Silence Is Not (For Hune)
silence is not...
the absence of sound,
but sound stripped naked and pure!
the thunderous crash of the acorn,
to the ground that startles the squirrel,
and freezes him with fear!
the squeak of the old spicket,
wailing for the water to rise,
from the dead bones of time.
the moan of dead bones,
returning back to dust,
as if sexual release.
and the prayers of the trees,
who see our foolishness,
and weep!

Hallucinations of Floating Corpses
We had no words, on seeing
the confluence of the holy Ganges
and the overflowing Yamuna at Alahabad.
The priests pestered us
to do rites for our parents dead.
Two floating corpses soon we found
and thoughts of life brief haunted our minds.
When the boatman rowed us up
I had hallucinations
and the vast surface of the rivers
seemed to be full of bodies around.
We came home but those ‘inert things’
were at the crest of our thoughts.

Dead Soldiers, And Bones!
dead soldiers...
beating on tin drums
with bones,
that used to wear faces!
small children singing,
songs of coming and going,
leaving the eerie taste
of things forgotten.
the field fresh plowed,
drowned by morning rain,
waits for the bodies
that seed the future.
while priests chant
neath stained glass windows.
the sun weary with bringing,
finds its way on the path.
the fresh dug graves
mourn with the ache,
longing for the thrust
of love's denial.
and dead soldiers march
across fog driven plains,
beating on tin drums
with bones,
that used to wear faces!

Taking It Back
Her love rains down on me easy as the breeze
I listen to her breathing it sounds like the waves on the sea
I was thinking all about her, burning with rage and desire
We were spinning into darkness; the earth was on fire
She could take it back, she might take it back some day
So I spy on her, I lie to her, I make promises I cannot keep
Then I hear the laughter rising, rising from the deep
And I make her prove her love for me, I take all that I can take
And I push her to the limit to see if she will break
She might take it back, she could take it back some day
Now I have seen the warnings screaming from all sides
Its easy to ignore them and God know Ive tried
All of this temptation it turned my faith to lies
Until I couldnt see the danger or hear the rising tide
She can take it back, she will take it back some day
She can take it back, she will take it back some day
She can take it back, she will take it back some day

If I can procure three hundred good substantial names of persons, or bodies, or institutions, I cannot fail to do well for my family, although I must abandon my life to its success, and undergo many sad perplexities and perhaps never see again my own beloved America.

Pensive On Her Dead Gazing, I Heard The Mother Of All
PENSIVE, on her dead gazing, I heard the Mother of All,
Desperate, on the torn bodies, on the forms covering the battle-
fields gazing;
(As the last gun ceased--but the scent of the powder-smoke linger'd;)
As she call'd to her earth with mournful voice while she stalk'd:
Absorb them well, O my earth, she cried--I charge you, lose not my
sons! lose not an atom;
And you streams, absorb them well, taking their dear blood;
And you local spots, and you airs that swim above lightly,
And all you essences of soil and growth--and you, my rivers' depths;
And you, mountain sides--and the woods where my dear children's
blood, trickling, redden'd;
And you trees, down in your roots, to bequeath to all future
trees, 10
My dead absorb--my young men's beautiful bodies absorb--and their
precious, precious, precious blood;
Which holding in trust for me, faithfully back again give me, many a
year hence,
In unseen essence and odor of surface and grass, centuries hence;
In blowing airs from the fields, back again give me my darlings--give
my immortal heroes;
Exhale me them centuries hence--breathe me their breath--let not an
atom be lost;
O years and graves! O air and soil! O my dead, an aroma sweet!
Exhale them perennial, sweet death, years, centuries hence.

Mouth To Mouth
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
A legend is what you bought
I give you cold water,
And you swear it was wine
You bought time
If you can fool yourself,
Then why not them?
Just keep passing it,
Mouth to mouth to mouth
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
A legend is what you bought
I give you cold water,
And you swear it was wine
You bought time
If you can fool yourself,
Then why not them?
Just keep passing it,
Mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
Bring it out, bring it out
Ahhhhey!
You tied the knot,
Peeled your skin off,
Leave a bungle of nerves
I give you a wet noodle,
You swear that it was my tongue
A sharp one
Instead of that same old
Mouth to mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, I cant bring him back to life
Bring it out, bring it out
Ahhhhey!
Ahhhhey!
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Ahhhhey!
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth
Mouth to mouth to mouth to mouth
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life
I can dress up the dead man, but I cant bring him back to life ...
This is getting old
And so are you.
Everything you know
And never knew.
Will run through your fingers
Just like sand.
Enjoy it while you can.
Like a snake between two stones
It itches in your bones.
Take a deep breath and swallow
Your sorrow
Tomorrow.
So raise it up and lets propose a toast.
To the thing that hurts you most.
Its your last cup of sorrow.
What can you say?
Finish it today.
Its your last cup of sorrow.
So think of me
And get on your way.
It wont begin
Until you make it end.
Until you know the how the where and the when.
With a new face you might surprise yourself.
Like a snake between two stones
It itches in your bones.
Take a deep breath and swallow
Your sorrow
Tomorrow.
So raise it up and lets propose a toast.
To the thing that hurts you most.
Its your last cup of sorrow.
What can you say?
Finish it today.
Its your last cup of sorrow.
So think of me
And get on your way!
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
You might surprise yourself
