Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.

Many individuals have, like uncut diamonds, shining qualities beneath a rough exterior.
Love Sonnet 23 Diamonds regale, in thoughts of being rare,
Diamonds regale, when thought of being rare,
In glints, beguiling, by the wearer's hand,
Hell conjures in many an envious stare,
If but this gem been plenteous as sand;
Yet quartz, may lay uncut for years,
Thereby, to hide its quaint beauty and sheen,
As though young love, whose luster best appears,
When lovers bare their true selves to be seen;
For love, is such delight for eyes that see,
A sweet feeling from which touch finds allure,
Loving is such bondage, where hearts are free,
Though not a bad habit one must endure;
......Gems mystify while men's mind deem it so,
......Like love that can fade out when hearts forgo.

Sonnet: As Human Beings, We All Have Problems
Which man on earth is free of all problems?
We earthlings face both happiness and woes;
All can’t be Gold, Diamonds or uncut Gems!
Sad days come to both friends and even foes.
The richest man on earth has problems too,
And spends much time in trying to them solve;
The poorest men on earth have suffered; so
Men can’t their problems on their own resolve.
The secret tool that helps all is prayer!
We ought to pray for ourselves, friends and foes;
The Godless men like rain-less trees wither!
Prayers help men to solve problems and woes.
Pray from your heart to God whenev’r you can;
Alone, you cannot gain Heaven, O Man!

In my Democracy a diamond's the same as an agate
So long as you section it, buff it, wet it
You'll be amazed at the light that pierces through it
As long as you never actually have to view it.
Why would any one venture to pay retail
While these little gems are everywhere for sale?
Love tropes, they say, before diamonds, were garnets
Purple and costly red as wine and blood
Why should diamonds not concede to agates
Which not infrequently have spots of red
Amid the green and brown and yellow-gray?
If I can get some funding, I will say
Agates are the new diamonds-and with this market plan
I shall die a very wealthy man.

Capturing life with precious moments to spare,
With smiles and love and timing so rare,
Living on forevermore within frames for all to see,
With a child's laughter as precious as can be.
Capturing memories of a soon forgotten childhood,
And family moments that never felt so good.
A truthful memoir in beautiful display,
Of a family picnic on a newborn summer day.
To savor the moments of joyous proportion,
Knowing it could all end in distortion.
Capturing the moments of an infant's first step,
Or a Christmas morn shining with pep.
An image of laughter and joyous jest,
A friendship jokes what they thought was best.
Memories taken of a sweet romance,
Of two young kids at their first school dance.
Capturing life with precious moments to spare,
With smiles and love and timing so rare.

Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Written by christine mcvie.
Why not lie here in my arms
And listen to the night
You must know you have certain charm
And I feel the time is right
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Now I know that I feel much more
Oh in every single way
And its not the same as before
It gets stronger everyday
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Now I know how the sun must feel
Every time it shines
And now I know this is real
And I want you to be mine
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Just a little bit

We must carefully examine change so that we are able to discard those aspects of change which would be detrimental to our way of life, and, at the same time, take advantage of those aspects of change which will enhance and improve our quality of life.

A Smile Like Yours
Hmm, thought Id seen everything there was to see in this world
Now Im not so sure Ive really seen anything at all
I thought life could show me no surprises
And then you came and showed me I was wrong
I have seen the bluest skies, rainbows that would make you cry
I have seen miracles that moved my soul, days that changed my life
I have seen the brightest stars shine like diamonds in the dark
Seen all the wonders of the world, but Ive never seen a smile
As beautiful as yours, ooh, ooh, ooh, oh, I thought Id been everywhere
Ive climbed a mountain so high, sailed the sea, crossed the sky
And still I was nowhere at all, until that day, oh, you came to my senses
And your smile, it made sense out of it all, (I have seen the bluest skies)
Rainbows that would make you cry, I have seen miracles
(miracles that moved me soul) that moved my soul, days that changed my life,
I have seen the brightest stars shine like diamonds in the dark
Seen all the wonders of the world, but Ive never seen a smile as beautiful as yours
(smile so beautiful) so beautiful, comes one time in a lifetime
A smile this beautiful, (a smile this beautiful) Ive never dreamed Id ever see, oh
(I have seen the bluest skies) I have seen it, (rainbows that would make you cry)
That would make you cry, Ive seen miracles (miracles) moved my soul,
(days that changed my life) and days that changed my life
I have seen the brightest stars shine like diamonds in the dark
Oh, Ive seen the wonders of this world (wonders of the world)
But Ive never seen a smile (never seen a smile before as beautiful as yours)
Oh, Ive never seen a smile before, (never seen a smile before as beautiful)
As beautiful as yours.

Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Why not lie here
In-a my arms
And just listen to the night.
You must know that you have
Certain charms,
And I feel,
And I feel the time is right.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
And I know that i
Feel much more
In-a
Every single way,
[ended / and its ? ] not the same
As before, it gets
Stronger [stronger],
Stronger every day.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Now I know how the
Sun must feel
Every time it shines,
And I know that
This is real and i
Want you to be mine.
So, spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Come on, spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
One more time,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.

Anything You Can Spare
If you have any left of her kisses
When youre through with your latest affair
Dont let them just waste, I know how they taste
Ill take anything you can spare
And if you have a few idle moments
If youre lonely and nobodys there
Ill gladly fill in til you find a new friend
Ill take anything you can spare
Yes, ill even take some heartaches from you
Though ive already more than my share
I love you all the time, so baby keep me in mind
Ill take anything you can spare

Guardian Angel
Be my guard just for tonight, that is all Im asking for
Take me under your wing, I cant make it anymore
I am so full of fear, may you read a book to me
And when the shadows grow wont you stay with me
Will you be my guard tonight. that is all Im asking for
Will you be my guard tonight, that is all I need to know
Be my guard beside my bed, that is all I need to know
Will you please hold my hand, dont you ever let it go
All the wonders of the world for a little second more
I cant speak but cant you see, its your touch Im crying for
Will you be my guard tonight. that is all Im asking for
Will you be my guard tonight, that is all I need to know
Be my guard just until dawn, when I can hear the birds again
Im as helpless as can be, will you guard my little flame
If we never meet again, you shall always keep in mind
That you were my guard tonight, that you were my guard tonight
Will you be my guard tonight. . .

My True Friend
There are two kinds of people inhabiting this earth.
Most are valuable; a few have immense worth.
It’s not in terms of money, but so much more.
They may have riches or be among poor.
They are truly diamonds of another kind.
Just as gems they’re rare and so hard to find.
Like diamonds these few cast a brilliant glow.
Even more they spread kindness wherever they go.
Lenora, you are truly one of these very few…
You’re brilliant, kind and sensitive.
I’m so honored to know you!

Diamonds and Rust
I'll be damned, here comes your ghost again
but that's not unusual
it's just that the moon is full
and you decided to come
And here I sit, hand on the telephone
hearing the voice I'd known
a couple of light years ago
headed straight for a fall
But we both know what memories can bring
they bring Diamonds and Rust
yes we both know what memories can bring
they bring Diamonds and Rust
Now I see you standing with brown leaves all around and snow in your hair
Now we're smiling out the window of the crummy hotel over washington square
and then comes that white clouds, mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me
we both could've died then and there
Now you're telling me you're not nostalgic
then give me another word for it
you were so good with words
and at keeping things paid
cause I need some of that vagueness now, it's all come back too clearly
yes, I love you dearly
and if you're offering me diamonds and rust
I've already paid
But we both know what memories can bring
they bring Diamonds and Rust
yes we both know what memories can bring
they bring Diamonds and Rust
Diamonds, Diamonds and Rust
Diamonds, Diamonds and Rust
Diamonds, Diamonds and Rust
Diamonds, Diamonds and Rust

Souls- Ode to My Students
Moonlight carves the darkness
polishing coal into
diamonds:
light raining gifts(nineteenwithme :)
reviving;
slicing shadows of a heavy heart; magnetic weavers: my
center; true north
each day-
(uncut dreams shared)
imagine…..
sOuls beauty(Pangea; nineteenwithme)
flawless pearls of pure potential
buds of lyric and rhythm:
---dance in the sun! sing loud to the day!
-- awaken to spring; be not afraid!
i gladly shed a bittersweet tear:
for I was warmed and graced by the light of your dawn:
--sOuls bloom!
diamonds(nineteenwithme) ……..

Back 2 Back
Two meerkats stared, one left, one right,
On guard, my friends, on guard!
With whiskers twitching, what a sight!
Eyes scanning yard by yard...
Thus back to back, coats intertwined,
Two heroes braved their foes
And while they posed there so inclined,
They knew they mustn't doze...
But it was warm and things were calm
And heads were heavy, too,
Yet they must stand and raise alarm
So nothing could get through...
But eyelids weren't as fast to raise
As at the start of day,
Then staring eyeballs start to glaze
And wobbly legs give way!
Two meerkats almost dozing till
One heard the other snore!
'That wasn't me! ' said he, quite still,
The other to implore!
The dozy meerkat stood up straight,
His weakness to discard!
They also serve who stand and wait!
On guard, my friends, on guard!

Waving to moments passing by
Moments happy moments
people think about them
people write about them
people talk about them
people hope about them
I see moments
lots of moments
but I wave to my moments
as they pass me by...
My life is a ship
on an Ocean deep
passing by is the ship 'Could've been'
it holds all my moments in its keep
I stand on my lifes deck
waving to moments till they're just a speck
Moments happy moments
people live them
people grab them
people make them
people savour them
but I wave to my moments
as they pass me by...
Goodbye 'Could've been'
Goodbye moments...

Moments
We have treasured moments
we collect everyday,
as we walk our journey
along life’s long and winding road.
Moments that we want to keep
for some sad and lonely day.
Moments to treasure,
when the sun refuses to shine.
Moments to remember
and call upon at anytime.
Moments when we are blessed,
with love and friendship divine.
Moments that we gather,
with love in our memories.
Moments, beautiful moment,
we gather everyday.

The Stars Are Brightest
i
the stars are brightest
on the deep blackness
of the night
ii
not on those brightest days
can you feel the glitter
of a single star
iii
no on the deep scarlet of our grief
can we for once
change into stars
show that our hearts glow
like diamonds
in the ocean floor of our
sorrows
iv
twinkle, glitter, glow
there is also meaning and beauty
in this sorrow
v
we do not have to be mud
others have turned to the god of the rocks
we can be stars
meteors shooting brightness in dark space
galaxies expanding
to build a new world
we can be suns of glory when others explode
and be gone for worst

Flight
Caught a flight, full of drugs
Shoot straight at a view
Touching down just in time
Crawl straight into you
And before the fallen graces write
And he found the diamonds in disgiuse
Ive been wastin most of my time
But I carry on
Today (what is it? ) can only improve with time
When your only a planet down
Well go out again
And before the fall did natures right
And we found there aint no quick for flight
Ive been wasting most of my time
And I can get along
Today (where is it? ) can only improve with time
Flight
