For it is not as a very great philosopher, nor as an eloquent rhetorician, nor as a grammarian trained in the highest principles of his heart, that I have striven to write this work, but as an architect who has had only a dip into those studies.

Tomb of the Grammarian Lysias

In the Beirut library, just to the right as you go in,
we buried wise Lysias, the grammarian.
The spot is beautifully chosen.
We put him near those things of his
that he remembers maybe even there:
notes, texts, commentaries, variants,
voluminous studies of Greek idioms.
Also, this way, as we go to the books,
we'll see, we'll honour his tomb.

A Song About You

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You’re all I can every think about
How you flood my dreams each night
How thinking of you takes my breath away
When I look up to the satellites

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
The long lost butterflies returned
How I hope my number you’ll dial
And how your memory smothers me with smiles

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You were the only one
Who had enough of me to break my heart
And when love took over my heart
You tore it all apart.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
I gave you my heart
Caught up in the thought
That we were off to a great start
But how you threw a damn dart
Right into the center of my heart

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
About how you crushed my heart
Not bothering to look back.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

A Scientist and A Poet!

Strange are these men,
people can enjoy their work,
one can't compare these,
but let us try end enjoy!

Scientist and Poet,
One studies the worlds,
And another studies words,
Both can be above human mind,
One play with his logic and another plays word magic!

Both scientists and Poets,
Meditate,
One upon his experiments,
And another upon mind,
One studies cause and effect in this world,
Another studies love and affectaction of world!

One take pains work for some purpose,
Another can lie under the nose,
Both stumble on luck,
Scientist discovers a truth,
Poet always plays with so many of them!

Another important historical factor is the fact that this already very simple religion was further simplified and purified by the early philosophers of ancient China. Our first great philosopher was a founder of naturalism; and our second great philosopher was an agnostic.

My Studies

I do well in school
I am a straight A kid
I was going straight and I was sane
until this new kid came

He was really cute
But I thought it was just a crush
It would be over soon
I guess I ran out of luck

I couldn't concentrate
I was busy thinking of you
I couldn't focus on my studies
I loss sense of what I should do

You're in my homework
You're in my studies
When I look at my text book I do not see problems
Only you and your words
And I don't write the write answers because I am only answering the imaginary you

The Power!

the highest form of art,
the highest form of philosophy,
the highest form of spirituality,
comes in the applied interaction
of peoples with each other...
taking the time to listen, to care,
to understand, to feel, to forgive,
to work together, and to see each
other in ourselves...
you cant write it any better, you
cant paint it any better, you cant
play it any better, you cant pray
it any better!
this is the power that created
the cosmos... and does so again
and again... the power that turns
the seasons, and brings the dawn...
this is the light that darkness
cannot swallow...

Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it. The man who knows how will always have a job. The man who also knows why will always be his boss. As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.

Degrees Don't Love You

Degrees don't love you so you never went to school!
But your mind writes like a Philosopher to teach many;
And the truth is, Degrees are obtained under a Faculty.

Degrees are obtained after the length of studies,
But without one's Philosophy there is no Faculty!
Because one has to create the ideas for others to follow;
And out of Philosophy came the branches of Faculties.

You don't need any Degree to identify yourself,
Because you have the ability of teaching others;
And Philosophy is always above Faculty! !
For, you are a Philosopher with the magic ink of your mind.

School's back

The vacation is over school's about to start,
new school bag, new books and also new prop.
After a long break again Homework,
just work, work and work.

Again scoldings by teacher and mother,
how would I be able to manage this is just a wonder!
No T.V. just studdies,
and also not playing with buddies.

Just studies and strain,
and also not playing in rain.
But however it may be,
school is really great!

Why Do I Write

I write from my sadness
I write from the madness
I write because I have something to say
I write to pass the day
I write only from the heart
I write for sometimes I am not that smart
Whatever is in head just comes out on paper (in this case a word document) , and I go with the flow
Write to let my mind go

I follow my hand to where ever it takes me
I write all the things that I can see
I write when I am happy, but not as much
I write from my heart that you can touch
I write because I’d go insane
I am driven to write quell my pain

At times I feel alone so I write what I am feeling
I write for it is self-healing
Confident not so I write it all away
I write and write to pass the day
I write to comfort my soul that cries out in the night
I write for love is always out of sight
I write so I don't have to cry any more
I write for I have no one to adore
I write so someone somewhere will hear my plea
I write for someone is out there for me
I am lost and I the clown
I write to turn my frown upside down

I write to embrace the sadness I hide inside
I write with my heart opened wide
I write to silence the ghost
I write for I’ve been let down by the one I loved the most
I write through the stormy weather
I write for I am light as a feather
I am not a writer nor am I a poet
I write for the grief I do know it

I will write until I draw my last breath
I write because I'll die a lonely death
I have to write for strangers delight
I write because I have to write
I write for my own happiness
I write to relieve my stress
I write because I have no other choice
I write as if I was writing a letter
I write because I can’t do any better
I write because I am afraid not to
I write for this is what I do
I write for I give a damn
I write just because I am

The Unfinished Book

TAKE it, reader, idly passing,
This, like other idle lines;
Take it, critic, great at classing
Subtle genius and its signs:
But, O reader, be thou dumb;
Critic, let no sharp wit come;
For the hand that wrote and blurred
Will not write another word;
And the soul you scorn or prize,
Now than angels is more wise.

Take it, heart of man or woman,
This unfinished broken strain,
Whether it be poor or common
Or the noblest work of brain;
Let that good heart only sit
Now in judgment over it
Tenderly, as we would read,--
Any one, of any creed,
Any churchyard passing by,--
'Sacred to the Memory.

Wholly sacred: even as lingers
Final word, or last look cast.
Or last clasp of life-warm fingers,
Which we knew not was the last.
Or, as we apart do lay,
The day after funeral-day,
Their dear relics, great and small,
Who need nothing--yet win all:
All the best we had and have,
Buried in one silent grave.

All our highest aspirations,
And our closest love of loves;
Our most secret resignations,
Our best work that man approves,
Yet which jealously we keep
In our mute heart's deepest deep.
So of this poor broken song
Let no echoes here prolong:
For the singer's voice is known
In the heaven of heavens alone.

Food Food Glorious Food

Who is best skilled trained to prepare it?

Top chief on reality tv pack up your knives?

Where are best chiefs trained to thrive?

If best chief I wanted to be how would I plan?
By taking culinary as I had always planned.
In dedicated love to preparing cooking food.

Perhaps I might have finished
my associates in culinary arts
in San Francisco where I wanted

to sail into vibe city remembered
to wear a flower in my hair in hopes
of meeting very gentle people there.

Next to avoid that New York state of mind
I might have gone to Melbourne taking up
choice bachelor in culinary management.

For some fragile souls it’s just moving
getting used to standing up on own feet
walking into totally new environments.

The incredibly lucky retain parents support
financially in all aspects of love adored life.

The blessed cannot imagine how all those
who do not have parent support survive.
The truth many souls denied do not survive.

But you of sound mind good heart kind soul
you will be successful in whatever you do.
Imagine even among stress at highest levels

of your studies despite a few home grown
glorious extravagant egos you will want be
carried on one dream a beautiful restaurant

one day a beautiful dream in blessing taste.

Why I Write?

I write poems for myself and I write for the readers
I write for the masses and I write for the leaders
I write to imprint my thoughts in people's mind
I write to make the bad guys helpful and kind
I write to light up our path to Great God
I write for everyone home and abroad
I write to preserve values new and old
I write to make my ink precious like gold
I write for peace and I write for progress
I write to make the world a better place
All major issues I want to address
I write to see smile on God's face
